The two surviving dogs of Gene Hackmanand wife Betsy Arakawa tried to assist the law enforcement investigation into their deaths, authorities confirmed.
While local members of the Sante Fe sheriff’s department searched the couple’s home during a welfare check, they noticed one dog running up to them. According to Chief Brian Moya, the canine kept barking and ran in a different direction.
“They realized [the dog] was trying to say, ‘Hey, come over here! Come over here!’” Moya recalled to USA Today in an interview published on Tuesday, March 11.
The dog — Hackman and Arakawa owned three, one of which died alongside the pair — led the first responders to the corner of a mudroom where Hackman’s body was found unconscious on the floor. Per Moya, the Oscar-winning actor had blackened hands and showed other signs of decomposition. A door was ajar nearby, seemingly allowing the dogs entry between the house and the backyard.
News broke late last month that Hackman and Arakawa had been found dead inside their Santa Fe, New Mexico, house. They were 95 and 65, respectively.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy. He was loved and admired by millions around the world for his brilliant acting career, but to us, he was always just Dad and Grandpa,” Hackman’s daughters and granddaughter told Us Weekly in a statement. “We will miss him sorely and are devastated by the loss.”

Hackman and Arakawa are survived by his children, Christopher, Elizabeth and Leslie, whom the actor shared with late ex-wife Faye Maltese, and granddaughter Anna.
After Hackman and Arakawa’s bodies were discovered, surviving dogs Bear and Nikita were taken to a local pet shelter. (Their dog, Zinna, also died last month while locked in a crate inside the pair’s home.)
“She was devoted to those dogs,” Gruda Veterinary Hospital owner Robert Gruda recalled to USA Today. “She was consistent, predictable. We knew something was wrong when she didn’t pick up the food on time.”
Arakawa had taken Zinna, Bear and Nikita to Gruda Veterinary Hospital for years.
“She was an excellent dog owner, excellent caretaker to those dogs,” Gruda recalled. “She really doted on them.”
According to Gruda, his staff last saw Arakawa in late January when she picked up Zinna after a “major” operation.
“She was friendly, dutiful,” Gruda remembered. “That’s how we make a living, with owners [who] care for their animals and see us consistently.”
Love Is Blindpersonality Sara Carton is responding to rampant speculation that she has been dating costar Joey Leveille since their respective breakups.
“I’ve seen this a few times online in the past 24 hours,” Sara, 29, said on the Thursday, March 13, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “Well, to be clear, me and Joey are not dating.”
Sara and Joey, 36, were both participants on season 8 of Love Is Blind, which was filmed in Minneapolis in spring 2024 and aired on Netflix last month. They each found love sight unseen with Ben Mezzenga and Monica Danus, respectively. After whirlwind engagements, both couples broke up at the altar.
“There was a love square between me, Monica, Ben and Joey. We were all talking to each other until the second to last day in the pods,” Sara recalled on Thursday. “Of course, naturally in that circumstance, you do connect with people. I feel like me and Joey did establish a really great friendship.”
According to Sara, she “didn’t really talk” to Joey further until “five months” post-production.
“[Joey] and five other people visited me in Nashville and we called ourselves the ‘Yee-Haw Crew,’ like, it’s such a good time,” Sara said. “We grew really, really close with each other just because of the support for each other, knowing what we’ve all been through and being able to be there for one another. It’s been super important to me.”

She continued, “This whole situation, I’ve felt very close with Joey. I’m fond of our relationship, but I [also] feel very well-supported by all those involved. I’m just very grateful that I’ve met him, but, yeah, we definitely have a friendship. We’re definitely not dating.”
As to whether a potential romance could eventually unfold between the two pals, Sara played coy.
“I don’t know what the future will hold,” Sara teased. “But, I do know for right now, I definitely have no capacity to even think about a relationship.”

In addition to her friendship with Joey, the nurse has been able to lean on her family while navigating her broken engagement. (In the end, Sara called off her nuptials to Ben over fundamental political and religious differences.)
“I couldn’t have done it without them. And also my brother, my mom and stepdad, they were my rocks. I cannot state how much I appreciate them for being there for me,” Sara exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the March 9 finale. “[My sister], Lisa, and [her partner], Kelsie, they’re very rational people and that helps me keep grounded. Sometimes I’m, like, all about the fantasies and being spontaneous and having fun and they helped me a lot, especially with this scenario putting it all in context.”
She added, “They helped me feel OK that it may not be my person and that’s OK — even though I so badly wanted it to be my person and have this beautiful thing work for me.”
Kat Dennings and Tim Allen shared a bonding moment while gearing up for an emotional scene in Shifting Gears.
“We were both dreading it. We were like, ‘Oh God, we have to cry. What is this?’ It’s like, I looked at him and I started crying, he looked at me and he started crying. It was real. In the first episode, we both get emotional and it was real,” Dennings, 38, said on the Thursday, March 13, episode of the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “It’s incredible to do with him and the kids. I mean, everybody is really amazing. That just makes the funny parts even funnier and such a relief to do. It’s just been a very good, organic-feeling show to me. Which is new, it’s a new experience for me.”
Shifting Gears centers around Matt (Allen), the widowed owner of a car restoration shop whose estranged daughter (Dennings) moves into his home with her children. Dennings explained that the show deals with “grief and real issues,” which she said can feel “kind of crazy to be raw and emotional in front of an audience.”
“It’s this incredible combination of theater and burlesque, or something like that,” she said. “But as soon as I look into Tim Allen’s little face, I’m in there. I forget about everything else.”
Dennings praised Allen, 71, for being a “very present actor” who is “really feeling these things.”
“I really haven’t experienced that a huge amount because, like me, people are thinking about their next line or whatever they’re doing,” she explained. “He’s so in the moment and he’s such an amazing actor. He will just be there with you and experience these feelings without having to think.”

Dennings, whose character is a single mother, noted that she’s “never played a mom” in a previous acting gig.
“I didn’t really know what to do career wise,” she admitted. “I’m 38. I’m in this area where I could play mom, but me? I’m 12, how could I play a mother? That’s crazy. Obviously, the math maths. I was excited about the idea of doing something that I’ve never done before and playing this side of my life. I’m a stepmother, I have two step children. I’m a godmother and I have nieces and nephews that are like my own children. So I have this big side of me where there are a lot of children involved in my life so I was really excited to do that. I’ve never gotten to do that before.”
She continued, “This is Tim Allen’s next sitcom. He’s an icon of television, so I was like, I can’t really pass up this opportunity, this would be really fun. And it is.”
Shifting Gears airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, steaming the next day on Hulu.
“I’ve seen her in passing and I’ve definitely said my congratulations and I’m really happy for her finding her peace and her time and her moment and that’s a beautiful thing,” Cameron told US Weekly exclusively at the Planet Hollywood grand opening party in Times Square on Wednesday, March 12. “I never wish Ill will on anyone. I’m happy to see her where she’s at and hopefully she’s living her best life.”
Cameron and Hubbard, both 38, met while filming the first season of Winter House in 2021. They dated briefly before splitting that summer, after Hubbard suffered a miscarriage. While there was some bad blood between the two in the immediate aftermath of their ultimately failed relationship, it appears that on Cameron’s side, at least, emotions have cooled.
Hubbard, on the other hand, told Us in November 2022 that she was blindsided when Cameron confronted her about sharing the news of her miscarriage with the public.
“I was very upset after that conversation. I basically have not spoken to him since because I just thought it was a really messed up thing to do,” she said at the time. “Like, even if you are doing it to have something to talk about or for relevancy, don’t use my trauma for your relevancy. That’s where I draw the line, that is absolutely unacceptable for me.”
Hubbard announced the next January that she had begun dating longtime friend and Summer House costar Carl Radke. They were even briefly engaged before they called it quits in 2023. She is now dating Turner Kufe.
As for Cameron, he said there’s nothing new to report about his love life but that fans might see him make a cameo on Summer House soon.
“You might see something,” he said. “Time will tell.”
For now, as Cameron said, he is living his “best, fashionable” life. That means focusing on what he likes to do outside of Winter House, including what he calls “healthy living” and continuing to dabble as a chef.
So it made sense for Cameron to stop by the newly redesigned Planet Hollywood in New York City, which he said brings back family memories from growing up.
“My mom took us to the parks growing up and this was one of our dockets in the scheduling,” he said. “And so I knew they were closed and I heard they were reopening. I’m like, ‘let me make a stop by.’”
“People post me in things and people say that Kim and I aren’t friends anymore and it’s so funny to watch this stuff ‘cause we are friends and we talk all the time,” Cheban, 51, exclusively told Us Weekly at the grand opening of Planet Hollywood in New York City on Tuesday, March 11. “I see all these things that pop up and that’s how I know if I’m on [episodes of The Kardashians] or not.”
While Cheban admitted that he doesn’t always keep up with Kardashian’s Hulu docuseries, they are “absolutely” still close pals.
“We’re going to be friends forever — and it’s fun,” Cheban said. “I mean, she’s got so many kids and so many things to do and I’m all the way on this coast, so it’s like, yeah, we don’t see each other as much, but we talk all the time and anything happens that I feel like we should discuss, we just send it right away.”
Kardashian, 44, lives in Los Angeles with her and ex-husband Kanye West’s four children. Cheban, meanwhile, resides on the East Coast and travels “all the time” between the likes of Italy, California and more. Most recently, he relocated to New York City, where he attended the opening of Planet Hollywood in Times Square.

“This is pretty iconic,” he gushed on Tuesday. “Not only is the weather amazing, I mean, this is such a major thing to happen in New York [and] for a New York comeback. I’m moving back to New York after five years. I’m so excited to be here, this is awesome.”
Ahead of the event, Cheban was especially hopeful that the Planet Hollywood menu would feature one specific offering.
“Well, hopefully, there’s the usual [and] hopefully they made a smash burger because [it’s] 2025. I don’t want the old burgers,” he quipped. “I want some new stuff. And if they didn’t, I’m going to find [CEO] Robert Earl and I’m going to tell him.”
Cheban is famously a major foodie, who has chronicled his global dietary adventures on both his Discovery+ series, Foodgod, and via social media.
“I feel like my Instagram and my TikTok is bigger than pretty much every show,” Cheban told Us. “You get a million [or] 2 million views and that is a TV show. And you kind of control it because when you do a TV show, it takes a very long time [that] people don’t know. By the time you film it [and] by the time it comes out and by the time it airs, you spent a year and a half doing it and then it ends really fast so you better know what you’re doing.”
After Shep, 42, and Sienna Evans seemingly called it quits during the March 6 episode of the Bravo series, several cast members pushed Molly, 37, to try and shoot her shot while still in the Bahamas. (Shep and Sienna dated for several months in 2024 before their romance fizzled out that November.)
Molly, however, wasn’t a fan of the pressure. Once she returned to Charleston, she turned to Taylor, 30, in hopes of gleaning a little guidance.
“I’m not, like, in love with Shep or anything,” Molly tells Taylor in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Thursday, March 13, episode of Southern Charm. “Everybody’s like, ‘You should go for Shep.’ I kinda feel like I’m in middle school.”

Taylor confesses, “It just seemed a little forced,” which is similar to how Molly says she felt in the moment.
“It’s embarrassing. Not because Shep’s done anything to make me feel stupid,” Molly reveals in a confessional. “It’s really everyone else in the group trying to be weird about everything.”
Taylor, meanwhile, notes that when “people put pressure on you,” it often leads to you “putting pressure on yourself.”
Molly concurs, noting that she’s “obviously seen Shep date people,” Taylor included, so she doesn’t want to start “putting my eggs in that basket.”
The America’s Next Top Model alum then teases, “I’m also, like, a decade too old for him, probably,” referring to Shep’s tendency to date women nearly two decades his junior.
Taylor, who dated Shep for two years before breaking up in summer 2022, admits to the cameras that she sees how Molly and Shep could be a match.

“Shep and Molly are both kinda quirky and weird and they have a bunch of the same values,” Taylor explains. Dylan Mulvaney’s Paper Doll memoir allowed her to take an “empathetic step towards disarming transphobia” but also gave her the opportunity to spill some tea.

CBS and the Golden Globes announced on Thursday, March 13, that Glaser, 40, is officially returning to host the awards show after making her debut earlier this year.
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser said in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne expressed her excitement for Glaser’s return in a statement of her own, noting, “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor, and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”
When awards season kicked off in January, Glaser became the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo — and her performance was met with widespread praise. Reports later surfaced that Glaser was offered a multi-year deal to host the Globes, which she addressed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight last month.
“I keep seeing headlines that [say], ‘She’s got a deal to do three more [Golden Globes ceremonies],'” she said while attending the 2025 Grammy Awards. “I haven’t heard about this [offer] yet.”
Glaser added at the time that she would be happy to make a comeback. “It was hard work, but it was the best job I’ve ever had,” she continued, revealing the “mission statement” she made before the ceremony. “I wanted to leave that awards show and have people [say], ‘I want her to host more things. That was comfortable to watch. I wasn’t nervous for her.’ And that’s what I came away with.”
According to Glaser, that goal was achieved. “I just wanted people to have a fun time and not feel like I was going after anyone … I worked hard to fulfill that tone and I feel like I succeeded,” she said.
The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards will be held in January 2026.

Culpo and McCaffrey began dating in 2019 and confirmed their relationship less than one year later by walking the 2020 NFL Honors red carpet together. The San Francisco 49ers running back popped the question to Culpo in April 2023 after three years of dating. They tied the knot in June 2024.

Culpo previously revealed during a December 2022 episode her short-lived TLC reality show, The Culpo Sisters, that she chose to freeze her eggs. “I’ve been making decisions out of fear for the future,” she explained. “Here’s a lot of pressure that I’ve been putting on my relationship because of fertility.”

A royal aide opened up about how Queen Camilla balanced royal duties while supporting King Charles III after his cancer diagnosis in 2024.
“It was exhausting,” the unnamed aide said during an interview with Newsweek for a cover story published on Wednesday, March 12.

On February 5, 2024, Buckingham Palace announced the king had been diagnosed with an undisclosed “form of cancer” following a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate.
Charles kicked off 2025 with a jam-packed schedule, including a visit to Poland in January for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. The king and queen also plan to visit Italy in April.
Royal experts and former staff members previously told Us Weekly that the king has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
“He’s dedicated to his role,” former palace chef Darren McGrady told Us in January. “And I think the only thing that was holding him back in ‘24 was the cancer and, you know, getting through that.”
“There are very few things I think that would knock back King Charles from doing his duty, which I think he takes really seriously,” he added.
“I think everyone is looking forward to a year of a full schedule and uninterrupted engagements,” royal photographer Samir Hussein told Us. “Certainly the king is eager for that to be the case and it’s very encouraging the amount of jobs he has been able to take on despite his treatment.”

Donatella Versace, the visionary who steered the Versace brand through triumph and tragedy, has stepped down as chief creative officer, Versace’s U.S. owner Capri Holdings announced on Thursday, March 13. Donatella will become chief brand ambassador, while Miu Miu’s former design and image director, Dario Vitale, has been appointed chief creative officer, effective April 1.
“Championing the next generation of designers has always been important to me,” Donatella said on Thursday via Instagram. “I am thrilled that Dario Vitale will be joining us and excited to see Versace through new eyes.” She added: “I want to thank my incredible design team and all the employees at Versace that I had the privilege of working with for over three decades.”
The brand’s Fall 2025 presentation in Milan last month marked a seismic shift in the luxury fashion landscape, signaling both an end and a beginning for the iconic Italian label. “With this collection, I am not following any rules. The Duke and Duchess of Westminster are expecting a baby in the summer.
King Charles III’s godson, Hugh Grosvenor, and his wife Olivia, announced they are expecting their first baby on Wednesday, March 12.
“The duchess is expecting a baby in the summer,” a spokesperson for the couple told The Telegraph. “The couple are delighted with the news and are very much looking forward to starting a family together.”
The couple were married on June 7, 2024, at a private ceremony attended by Prince William and Princess Eugenie. William was an usher at the ceremony, which took place at Chester Cathedral in Chester, England.
Hugh is one of the U.K.’s richest men, having made The Sunday Times’ Rich List in 2023 and 2024, when the Grosvenor family’s net worth was estimated to have grown from £9.878 billion ($12.798 billion) to £10.127 billion ($13.122 billion).
Hugh inherited his dukedom in 2016 when his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, died after experiencing a heart attack in 2016.
The family is known for their expansive property empire that spans 40 cities around the world, including London, The Sunday Times reports.
Hugh and Olivia are also known for their friendship with the British royals. Hugh is close with both William and Prince Harry, and was named a godparent to William and Kate’s eldest child, Prince George, born in 2013.
As for Olivia, she attended Marlborough College, the private school attended by Kate and Eugenie.

The woman who accused Jay-Z of raping her when she was 13 years old in a recently dismissed lawsuit can reportedly be heard on tape saying her lawyer “pushed” her into suing the rap mogul, per multiple reports.
ABC News and Rolling Stone reported Wednesday, March 11, that they had obtained an excerpt of a recording between the woman — identified only as “Jane Doe” — and private investigators associated with Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter.
“He was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with Jay-Z,” the woman allegedly said, referring to her lawyer, Tony Buzbee.
In a lawsuit filed in December 2024, the woman accused Jay-Z, 55, and disgraced rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual assault at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000. The suit was initially filed in October 2024 with only Diddy, also 55, listed as a defendant. (Doe voluntarily dropped the suit in February with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.)
Buzbee told Rolling Stone in a statement Wednesday that the alleged recording was a “pieced-together fabrication.”
“Her position is very clear and has never changed,” Buzbee told the outlet. “The investigators tormented and harassed and tricked that poor woman and took what she said out of context and secretly recorded her. She stands by her claim that Jay-Z was there at the party and that [he] assaulted her. She has never wavered on that point, not once.”
Buzbee added in a statement to ABC News, “As far as the suggestion that I pushed Jane Doe to bring a case against Jay Z — that is a blatant lie that is directly contrary to all the documentary evidence.”
Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro told ABC News that “the tape speaks for itself,” insisting that Doe “voluntarily” met with the investigators working for Jay-Z.
“She says in no uncertain terms Mr. Carter did not do this. It’s effectively a lie and the only reason Mr. Carter is even involved in this is because she was pushed to involve him,” Spiro said.
However, Buzbee provided Rolling Stone a recording of his own alleged conversation with Doe, in which the outlet reported that Doe denied telling the investigators that Jay-Z did not assault her. She also denied telling them Buzbee pushed her into filing suit against the rapper, per Rolling Stone.
Earlier this month, Jay-Z filed his own lawsuit against Jane Doe and Buzbee, accusing them of abuse of process, malicious prosecution, civil conspiracy and defamation. The suit alleges that Jay-Z’s accuser and Buzbee conspired to falsely accuse him of sexual assault, causing him to lose $20 million.
