Jessica Simpson Says She’s ‘So Much More Honest’ Without Alcohol

Jessica Simpson is proud to be sober after previously struggling with alcohol addiction.

The singer had long relied on alcohol to help her cope with traumas in her past. Her dependence came to a head in October 2017 when she failed to show up for her kids — Maxwell, Ace and Birdie, whom she shares with estranged husband Eric Johnson — on Halloween. (Simpson and Johnson announced their split in January 2025 following 10 years of marriage.)

“I honestly couldn’t even tell you who got them ready. I was just dazed and confused, and I just wanted to go to sleep,” Simpson said during a January 2020 interview on Today. “I didn’t take them trick-or-treating. I didn’t show up for my family. I took the picture and I made the world think that I showed up.”

The next day, Simpson pledged to quit drinking and start working with a therapist. “I just realized that I had to surrender,” she told Today host Hoda Kotb. “I just want to continue on the path that I’m on, and at this point in my life, I’m strong enough to deal with anything that comes my way. Because I don’t have something to retreat to that will numb me from actually going through it.”

“I had started a spiral and I couldn’t catch up with myself … and that was with alcohol,” Simpson told Kotb on Today. “Every day I would say it, ‘I’ll stop soon. I’ll cut back.’”

The fashion designer further explained that she initially didn’t realize that she had a “problem” with drinking. “I completely didn’t recognize myself,” she said. “I always had a glitter cup. It was always filled to the rim with alcohol. I just realized that I had to surrender. It was time. I had to give it up and I was ready. I’m not going to miss another day. … I’m going to be present.”

Simpson revealed to Buzzfeed News’ AM to DM that she already had a conversation with her eldest kids Maxwell and Ace about her addiction struggles “because I knew that kids at school would talk about it.”

“With my children, they know Mommy doesn’t drink wine because it makes her too silly,” she continued. “But for me, alcohol never made me mean. People didn’t know that I had a problem — they knew that towards the end it was getting to be too much, that I was not being myself and I wasn’t present in a room. … So, when I explained it to my kids they really understood that Mommy is just living her best life!”

Simpson also discussed her struggles in her Open Book memoir, noting that she started to rely on Tylenol PM pills to sleep in the wake of her childhood sexual abuse.

“I took each pill like a magic potion because it freed me,” she wrote. “I was able to sleep in my own bed, or a bed on the road, without needing [my sister], Ashlee. I didn’t think I was dependent. In fact, those pills actually helped me feel independent.”

Prior to writing Open Book, Simpson had started flipping through her old diaries and realized “how much stuff I haven’t really dealt with,” she said on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.

“I was also looking at the girl that I was and the perspective that I had and I really missed that person. And so, within that is when I started to spiral with the drinking and trying to numb things,” Simpson added. “Then, I realized it was stuff I actually needed to talk about and face.”

August 2020

“People are like, ‘Don’t you want to drink during this pandemic? Oh, my God, aren’t your kids driving you crazy?’” Simpson said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show of being locked down amid the COVID-19 health crisis. “I’m like, ‘No, I do not want to drink,’ like, I have not wanted it. I feel like that’s a big blessing. Once I surrendered and gave it over I never looked back, and my husband did it with me, so that support was amazing.”

November 2021

Exactly four years after Simpson gave up alcohol, she shared an “unrecognizable” photo of herself.

“I had so much self-discovery to unlock and explore. I knew in this very moment I would allow myself to take back my light, show victory over my internal battle of self-respect, and brave this world with piercing clarity,” she wrote via Instagram. “Personally, to do this I needed to stop drinking alcohol because it kept my mind and heart circling in the same direction and, quite honestly, I was exhausted. I wanted to feel the pain so I could carry it like a badge of honor. I wanted to live as a leader does and break cycles to advance forward — never looking back with regret and remorse over any choice I have made and would make for the rest of my time here within this beautiful world.”

November 2022

“The most important thing I have learned through the last 5yrs without alcohol being a guard for escapism is that I CAN and ALWAYS WILL get through it,” Simpson wrote via Instagram on her sober anniversary. “I am capable of pretty much anything I care enough about to put my mind to. I am present. I am deeply inspired. I am determined. I am honest. I care about other people.”

February 2025

After releasing her first single in more than a decade, Simpson said that getting sober completely changed the way she approaches making music. “The moment I started drinking too much was when I started writing music in 2016 and it was making me go to places and feel sorry for myself,” she told People. “I don’t know why I wanted to feel sorry for myself other than the alcohol was lying to me and saying, ‘You’re braver because you can say this with me on your side.’”

She added, “I actually am so much more honest without alcohol, and I actually believe myself so much more without alcohol.”

Justin Bieber dropped the gloves with an NHL Hall of Famer at a charity hockey game benefiting victims of the California wildfires.

Bieber, 30, tussled with Jeremy Roenick during the Skate For LA Strong game at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 23. The Canadian pop star playfully pulled the jersey over the head of the 55-year-old Roenick — who played 20 seasons for five different NHL teams before retiring in 2009 — during the second period of the game, which served as a fundraising effort to benefit the LA Fire Relief Fund.

The fight drew an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd and Bieber’s opposing Team Red coach, Vince Vaughn. “This is starting to get chippy out here!” said Vaughn, 54, as Bieber made his way back to the bench.

Bieber’s Team Black was coached by Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg, and the fight earned the praise of the legendary rapper. “We didn’t win the game, but we won the fight,” Snoop, 53, said on the bench. “That’s what I’m talking about.”

Team Red, which was coached by Vaughn, 54, and actress Cobie Smulders — who lost the home she shared with her husband, Taran Killam, in the Pacific Palisades fire — defeated Team Black 4-0.

“I can say I got beat up by Justin Bieber,” Roenick told The Athletic after the game. “That’s a great day.”

During an in-game interview, Bieber was asked by reporter Jackie Redmond what it meant to lace up the skates for the charity event.

“This is everything,” Bieber said. “We’re just looking to have a good time and show that when we come together, good things can happen.”

Bieber was also asked by Redmond when he wants to get his son Jack, who was born in August 2024, on hockey skates.

“As soon as possible,” he said enthusiastically. “It’s never too early.”

The Skate For LA Strong featured star-studded lineups, including celebrities like Steve Carell, Taylor Kitsch, Kevin Zegers, Skylar Astin, Ross Lynch and David Boreanaz taking the ice with an impressive list of NHL alumni including Jarret Stoll, Nate Thompson, Dany Heatley and Dion Phaneuf

“I know a lot of people that have lost their homes,” Bones alum Boreanaz, 55, told The Athletic. “In speaking with them, it doesn’t stop. The grief doesn’t stop, and it stays with them. And this is an opportunity to shed some grief for them, give some healing for them.”

'The White Lotus' Season 3 Modeled Ratliff Family After 'Southern Charm'

Bravo fans who thought the Ratliff family from The White Lotus feel familiar are onto something.

Sam Nivola, who plays the youngest member of the Ratliffs, confirmed to People on Sunday, February 23, that creator Mike White instructed that they watch Southern Charm, which has aired on Bravo since 2014 and it chronicles the personal and professional lives of several socialites who reside in Charleston, South Carolin.

“Mike told us to go watch Southern Charm. In fact, Jason Isaacs, who played our dad, kind of modeled his whole accent and character off of [that cast],” Nivola revealed.

Sarah Catherine Hook — who plays Piper — was surprised to find out about the Bravo assignment.

'The White Lotus' Season 3 Star-Studded Cast: Where You Know Them From

“I’m from Alabama,” she shared. “I found out through you guys. I was like, ‘He didn’t tell me to watch Southern Charm!’ I’m feeling left out.’”

Southern Charm currently stars Craig Conover, Taylor Ann Green, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy, Venita Aspen, Leva Bonaparte,Whitney Whitney Sudler-Smith and his mother, Patricia. While Nivola didn’t say whether there was a specific character the cast was channeling, Us thinks OG (and very controversial) star Thomas Ravenel could be the one Isaacs is channeling.

Season 3 of White Lotus, meanwhile, premiered on HBO earlier this month and introduced Us to the fictional wealthy family. Isaacs and Parker Posey are the parents to Nivola, Hook and Patrick Schwarzenegger‘s characters. So far fans know that Timothy (Isaacs) has potentially lost his fortune, which he is keeping a secret from his family. Meanwhile, Victoria (Posey) is too busy taking lorazepam to notice her husband’s issues as he dodges calls from the press. Their two oldest kids (Schwarzenegger) and Piper (Hook) are fighting over time with youngest brother Lochlan (Nivola) as those weird sexual vibes between Saxon and Lochlan continue.

Outside of the Ratliff family, the latest installment of The White Lotus will follow suit and seemingly feature a murder.

‘The White Lotus’ Cast's Most Candid Quotes About the Show's Steamiest Scenes

In the premiere, a man (who appears to be Belinda’s (Natasha Rothwell) son) was meditating in the Thailand resort when gunshots broke out and a body emerged in the body of water surrounding the retreat. It is unclear who killed the person in the water — and who the victim is.

This season’s cast is made up of Aimee Lou Wood, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Hook, Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Posey, Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong and Jon Gries.

“The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,” White shared in a December 2022 HBO Max feature. “I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”

New episodes of The White Lotus air on HBO Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.

Billy McFarland Confirms Fyre Festival II is Happening: Details

Yes, Fyre Festival II is happening eight years after the infamous failed event.

“Fyre II is real. My dream is finally becoming a reality,” entrepreneur Billy McFarland, who created the original festival, shared in an interview with Today on Monday, February 24, the same day tickets for the event officially went on sale.

The festival’s second installment is scheduled to take place in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, from May 30 to June 2. On Today, McFarland, 33, explained that the dates were bumped back one month to “give our partners time to get everything ready.”

Unlike the original Fyre Festival, McFarland will not directly handle planning details. Instead, he is working with a “major festival operator,” hotel and travel partners and other travel companies to organize the event.

The People Behind Fyre Festival: Where Are They Now?

McFarland created the original Fyre Festival in 2017 with Ja Rule as a means to promote his music talent booking app, Fyre. Rather than the luxurious festival getaway that was promised on the island of Great Exuma, attendees were met with several planning problems involving security, accommodations, food availability, medical services and more. The festival was ultimately canceled, leaving attendees stranded on a remote part of the island.

McFarland and Ja Rule, 48, were each sued for $100 million by disappointed attendees in May 2017, and McFarland was arrested by federal agents for wire fraud one month later. He pleaded guilty to wire fraud and defrauding investors in March 2018. He was also charged with selling fraudulent tickets to Met Gala, Burning Man and Coachella six months later.

McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison in October 2018 but was released early in March 2022 and remained under house arrest until September 2022. Ja Rule was cleared of any wrongdoing by a judge in November 2019 after claiming he was scammed by McFarland. The failed festival’s ups and downs were documented in the 2019 documentary FYRE.

Though Fyre Festival II’s limited 2,000 tickets are on sale, no musical acts for the event have been announced. “We’re gonna have artists across electronic, hip-hop, pop and rock. However, it’s not just music,” McFarland explained on Today. “We might have a professional skateboarder do a demonstration. We might have an MMA champion teach you techniques in the morning.”

When asked if acts have officially been booked, McFarland stated, “I think what makes Fyre so cool is we are selling the experience of Fyre. I want to be one of the first festivals that can sell out with no artists. … We are announcing the artists over the next few months, so I’m not in charge of booking the talent.”

He noted that based on his conversations with the event’s organizers, attendees can “expect” several A-list names to be involved.

McFarland noted that he might not be able to attend Fyre Festival II, as his legal penalty restricts his travel. “I don’t know. I have to be OK with, mentally, maybe watching a livestream from my computer and crying a little bit,” he stated. “I have to ask for international travel.”

Noting that the event is not for everyone, McFarland said Fyre Festival II is for people “taking the risk, seeking the adventure and wanting to be there for the moment.” He added, “I think it’s always a risk. You’re taking a risk because I made a lot of bad decisions and messed up the first festival. Until it’s experienced, there is a risk to it.”

McFarland shared more details about the festival via social media on Monday, describing the event as having “adventures led by international and local talent, taking guests on boundary-pushing excursions by day and uniting for intimate beach-side performances at night.”

In a statement included in the post, McFarland wrote, “I’m sure many people think I’m crazy for doing this again. But I feel I’d be crazy not to do it again. After years of reflection and now thoughtful planning, the new team and I have amazing plans for FYRE 2. The adventure seekers who trust the vision and take the leap will help make history. Thank you to my partners for the second chance.”

Jane Fonda Through the Years: Her Life in Photos

Jane Fonda comes from a family of actors, but she quickly made a name for herself and became an icon in her own right.

Born in 1937 to Frances Ford Seymour and movie legend Henry Fonda, Jane became interested in acting as a teen after starring alongside her dad in a charity performance in Nebraska. After dropping out of Vassar College, she moved to Paris to study art, then returned to the U.S. and began studying acting in earnest with method pioneer Lee Strasberg.

Jane made her film debut in 1960’s Tall Story and earned her first Oscar nomination in 1970 for her work in They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? before winning two years later for her turn as call girl Bree Daniels in Klute.

After vocally opposing the Vietnam War, she traveled to Hanoi in 1972 to witness the damage herself. During her visit, she was photographed sitting on top of an anti-aircraft gun, leading to speculation that she condoned Vietnamese soldiers shooting down American planes. Critics, meanwhile, began calling her “Hanoi Jane.” The Emmy winner later said she would “regret” the picture until her “dying day,” but she has remained a vocal antiwar activist, speaking out against the Iraq War in 2005.

In her later years, Jane became known for her activism as much as her screen work. The Tony Award nominee moved to Washington, D.C. in 2019 so she could more easily stage protests about the climate crisis in front of the U.S. Capitol. She was arrested multiple times, with one image of her raising her hands in triumph while sticking her tongue out going viral.

Jane starred in Barefoot in the Park — her first collaboration with Robert Redford — earning a BAFTA nomination for Best Foreign Actress. In 2017, she joked that she was "always in love" with him during filming. “I fell in love every time, so if a day went by when he wouldn’t speak to me ... there were days when he wouldn’t speak to me unless it was part of the script," she recalled during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I always took it personally: ‘What if he doesn’t like me? I did something wrong.’"

Jane won the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes. In her acceptance speech, she called for a great embrace of diversity in Hollywood. "Stories, they really can change people," she said. "But there’s a story we’ve been afraid to see and hear about ourselves in this industry, a story about which voices we respect and elevate and which we tune out, a story about who’s offered a seat at the table and who is kept out of the rooms where decisions are made. So, let’s all of us, including all the groups that decide who gets hired and what gets made and who wins awards, let’s all of us make an effort to expand that tent so that everyone rises and everyone’s story has a chance to be seen and heard."

The Sunday in New York star revealed in September that she was starting chemotherapy after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. “So, my dear friends, I have something personal I want to share. I’ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and have started chemo treatments,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky.”

Fonda reunited with Tomlin for two more movies: 80 for Brady and Moving On. “She’s got this funny bone that’s just innate, and I’m in awe of it because it’s the opposite of me,” Fonda told The Hollywood Reporter of her friend and frequent collaborator in January. “I come from a long line of depressives.”

Jane accepted the Life Achievement Award at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, sharing what it means to have “empathy” as an actor.
“We have to drill deep, we have to know for example if a young woman is cutting, or she’s a sex worker, there’s a good chance that as a young girl she was sexual[ly] abused or incested,” she told the audience. “And I’m sure many of you guys have played bullies and misogynists and you can pretty much know that, probably, that their father bullied them and called them weak, called them losers or pussies. And while you may hate the behavior of your character, you have to understand and empathize with the traumatized person you’re playing, right? … Make no mistake, empathy is not weak or woke. And by the way, woke just means you give a damn about other people.”

Savannah Chrisley Had 'So Many Regrets' After Ex-Fiance Nic's Sudden Death

Savannah Chrisley is looking back at the death of her ex-fiancé, Nic Kerdiles.

“I truly was heartbroken, devastated. I had so many regrets of things I had said publicly, and things I wish I could have apologized for and just conversations that Nic and I never got to have,” Chrisley, 27, told People on Sunday, February 23.

The former reality star was visiting her father, Todd Chrisley, in prison when she found out Kerdiles was in a motorcycle accident. (Todd, 55, is currently being held in Pensacola after being sentenced to 12 years on charges of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy.)

“I was shaking and sobbing. I’m like, ‘I have to get home. I have to get home,'” she explained. “[I] kept texting him, and I was like, ‘Please tell me it’s not true. Please. You’re OK, right?’ The messages were going through. So, I was like, ‘OK, maybe they just got it wrong. He’s OK.’ Because it was still showing delivered.”

‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Alum Savannah Chrisley’s Dating History

Savannah got engaged to Kerdiles in 2019 after two years of dating, with the pair later pausing on their wedding plans. Savannah announced their split in 2020 and despite briefly reconciling, the duo ended their relationship for good in 2021.

News broke in September 2023 that Kerdiles died at age 29 after a fatal motorcycle crash.

“Heaven gained the most beautiful angel today … I miss you and I love you. I’ll forever save our last messages of ‘I love you,'” Savannah wrote via Instagram Story at the time. “Please send me a sign that you’re OK. Maybe it’ll be thru [sic] a ham and cheese crepe … or pasta with white sauce … or maybe your favorite carrot cake.”

She continued: “We loved hard … and I can’t wait to ride bikes along the beaches of heaven with you one day.”

In Sunday’s interview, Savannah recalled mourning Kerdiles with Todd: “I was like, ‘I’ve got to tell [my] dad [Todd]. I can’t leave here without telling him.’ Because he and Nic were best friends. So, I went and I told my dad. I walked in, and he just automatically knew, and I just broke down.”

The Chrisley Knows Best alum “cried all day” with Todd. “He knew something was wrong. And he was just devastated and heartbroken,” Savannah noted.

Chrisley Family Drama Through the Years: Legal Trouble, Feuds and More

Before Kerdiles’ death, Savannah found love with now-boyfriend Robert Shiver. (Savannah initially reached out to Shiver, 40, after he made headlines in 2023 for surviving an alleged murder plot orchestrated by his ex Lindsay Shiver.)

“After a few weeks, I told Robert, I was like, ‘I promise I will stop talking about it. I just have to go through my process.’ And Robert’s exact words were, ‘You weren’t my first love and I wasn’t yours, but we can be each other’s last,'” she told People about how she “just saw the emotional maturity in him and how he showed up, and how he could have easily ran.”

Savannah added: “This is a month into us dating. Just the way that he shows up on a day-to-day basis, and the type of father that he is, and how he guides people through every hardship and adversity. It’s just [he’s the] best friend [and] teammate that you want.”

Jason Kelce Thinks Travis 'Already Knows' His Answer About Retirement

Jason Kelce Hints Travis Already Knows His Answer About Possible NFL Retirement
David Calvert/Getty Images

Jason Kelce knows his way around an NFL retirement conversation — and his brother, Travis Kelce, might have his mind made up already.

During a recent chat with Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson on “The Steam Room,” Jason, 37, reflected on getting his brother’s guidance before making his own decision about leaving the Philadelphia Eagles last year.

“[I talked to Travis] a lot,” Jason said on the podcast, which dropped Friday, February 21.

Jason added that he would “for sure” return the favor for Travis, 35, when he’s ready. “I’m sure we will talk about it, we’ve already talked about it a little bit,” Jason continued. “And I’m sure he’s going to go through a process of figuring that out.”

When Will Travis Kelce Retire? What He’s Said About a Possible NFL Exit

As the speculation about his NFL future continues, Jason hinted that Travis “probably, in his heart, already knows what he wants to do.”

“We’re very similar people, but we also have different ways of thinking about things. And sometimes I can way overanalyze situations, and my brother has this way of being like, ‘Hey man, you want to play or you don’t want to play,'” he explained. “He’ll say something like that where it’s just like, ‘Don’t worry about all of these minor things.’ And nine times out of 10, he’s right about all of it.”

Travis has been a top-performing player since being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. Throughout the 2024-2025 NFL season, however, the tight end struggled to make his usual impact.

“I used to get really, really pissed off and almost lose my cool a lot of the time from not having that success knowing I demand that out of myself. I just like to play the game to such a high level of accountability that it’s tough for me to deal with me being mediocre or having stats that represent that,” he said on the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast in September 2024, admitting that he “stopped caring about stats about four or five years ago.”

Instead of focusing on the numbers, Travis said, “I just went out there and started to play free and play for my guys. Sure enough, I think that’s the better mentality. You think about it more play by play and what your job is on that specific play.”

By the end of the season, the Chiefs had the opportunity to make history with a third consecutive Super Bowl victory — but the result wasn’t what they hoped for. With Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift looking on, the Eagles won Super Bowl LIX 40-22 earlier this month in New Orleans.

What the Sports World Has Said About Travis Kelce's Potential Retirement

Travis told reporters after the game that the Chiefs “couldn’t get it going offensively,” congratulating the Eagles on their victory.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, meanwhile, was asked whether he thought Travis would hang up his helmet. “I’ll let Travis make that decision on his own,” he said in a post-game interview.

The Chiefs reportedly gave Travis until March 14 to make his choice. During the Super Bowl recap episode of “New Heights,” Jason encouraged his brother to take his time before settling on his final decision.

“I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back, it’s gonna be something that it’s a wholehearted decision and I’m not half-assing it,” Travis said on the podcast. “I’m fully here for them and I think I could play, it’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to take on all that responsibility.”

Pat McGrath Labs x Candy Crush Saga’s Collab Comes With $10K Surprise

Pat McGrath Collab
Candy Crush x Pat McGrath Labs

Dive into a sugar-spun beauty frenzy with the new Candy Crush Saga x Pat McGrath Labs collaboration, a decadent (and delicious) collection launching on Thursday, February 27.

Among the limited-edition lipsticks, glosses and nail polishes is a Willy Wonka-worthy hidden surprise — not a golden ticket, but a 22-carat gold $10,000 BASLIQ ring with diamonds, rubies and sapphires. In a playful twist, three rings have been scattered amongst online orders.

According to Pat McGrath, Founder and CEO of Pat McGrath Labs, this dazzling twist only amplifies the lineup’s enchanting allure. “Beauty should always be an adventure,” McGrath exclusively told Us Weekly.

She continued: “This collection is all about joy, play and opulence — and now, three lucky individuals will unwrap a truly one-of-a-kind treasure. How divine is that?”

Pat McGrath Collab Split
The BASLIQ 22-karat gold ring with diamonds, rubies and sapphires was made to encircle the MatteTrance Lipstick bullets in the limited-edition Candy Crush Saga x Pat McGrath Labs collection, which includes two iconic shades: Elson and Divine Rose. Candy Crush x Pat McGrath Labs

Crafted initially as gifts for McGrath’s inner circle, including supermodel Alex Consani and influencer Tefi Pessoa, the rings are made to elegantly encircle the MatteTrance lipstick bullets. Now they will land in the hands of three shoppers, turning every purchase into a potential jackpot.

Meanwhile, Consani, 21, and Pessoa, 33, are already urging future shoppers to meticulously check their packages while hyping up the high-stakes beauty treasure hunt before it’s game on.

“Pat McGrath Labs and Candy Crush teaming up? It’s the kind of unexpected collaboration I live for,” Pessoa shared exclusively with Us. “Makeup is supposed to be playful and fun anyway! It’s beauty, nostalgia and a little bit of drama, because, of course, a $10,000 diamond ring had to go missing!”

Pessoa added: “Did I mention I love drama? I love drama. This collab is pure indulgence, wrapped in diamond-encrusted chaos, and I am obsessed.”

Consani also loves drama, but the kind that comes in the form of a statement lip (specifically, MatteTrance lipstick in Divine Rose). “Pat McGrath x Candy Crush is a fab twist on my favorite everyday iconic colors from her!” the model said. “She knows how to make things iconic, hence the ring! Mother knows!”

Indeed, there is more than makeup magic up for grabs, as now with every purchase of MatteTrance Lipstick on PatMcGrath.com, anyone has a chance to uncover a diamond surprise… if you can find it.

But even if you can’t, the collection has more surprises in store, as the lineup is filled with six limited-edition products that are inspired by the game’s bold colors and McGrath’s signature artistry.

For the first time, Elson is also being offered as a nail lacquer. It’s one of two long-lasting polishes; the second is Gold 001, a metallic masterpiece inspired by Pat’s original Lab.

Get your shimmer fix with LUST Gloss in Astral Flashdance or Bronze Venus to drench lips in balm-like hydration and high-wattage shine. Take it from “Mother McGrath,” as she’s affectionately known, who said it’s the “ultimate lip candy” with “everything you need for a dazzling, oh-so-glossy look that’s irresistibly divine.” (And Mother knows best.)

Considering her previous collabs have sold out in seconds, get ready to crush it when the limited-edition Candy Crush Saga x Pat McGrath Labs collection drops on Thursday, February 27 via PatMcGrath.com, followed by a March 3 launch on Sephora.com and a wider release at Nordstrom in March. May the beauty drop odds be ever in your favor.

'Welcome to Plathville': Get to Know the Plath Family

Welcome to Plathville introduced viewers to Barry and Kim Plath and their nine children when the reality show premiered on TLC in November 2019.

According to the series description, the couple’s kids — Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia and Mercy — “have never had a soda, don’t know who Spider-Man or Tom Brady is and have never watched TV.” They live remotely in rural Georgia and “follow their own [set of] rules” from Kim and Barry. However, things between the relatives began to change as many of the children grew up and explored avenues that were once forbidden.

Not every member of the family is as willing to share their life with the world, though. Moriah explained exclusively to Us Weekly in August 2021 why Hosanna is not on the show.

“She got married at a young age and moved off with her husband and started her life somewhere else,” Moriah said. “And she didn’t want to be on the show, and we were kind of all just, like, yeah, I mean, it’s her life. … Sometimes we keep in touch to some extent, but it’s also, like, she’s across the country and, you know, it would just be a hassle and she doesn’t want to be on the show.”

Barry and Kim had a 10th child, son Joshua, but he died in an accident in 2008 when he was 15 months old.
Kim filed for divorce from Barry in June 2024, two years after they announced their split after 24 years of marriage. In court docs obtained by Us at the time, Kim asked for primary custody of their three minor children, demanded that Barry pay child support and requested equal separation of their “marital property” and “marital debts.” Their date of separation was listed as December 23, 2021.

Barry and Kim welcomed their oldest child in May 1998. We Found the Very Best Blind Auditions From ‘The Voice’ Season 27

The Voice Season 27 Watch the Best Blind Auditions That Impressed All the Coaches
Trae Patton/NBC

The Voice is on the hunt for the best undiscovered singers in the country.

Season 27 of NBC’s hit reality competition show returned in January and coaches Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé, John Legend and Adam Levine didn’t waste any time building their teams in the blind auditions.

Despite a five-year hiatus from the show, Adam, 45, didn’t hesitate to turn his red hair when he heard a talented and unforgettable voice.

“I wouldn’t say I was nervous, but I was definitely curious to see and feel what it was going to be like,” the Maroon 5 frontman told NBC before the season began. “It’s been a while since I’ve been on and I honestly thought maybe it was time. I just thought I’d come back and give it another chance.”

'The Voice' Coaches Through the Years: Who Left and Why

As Adam and his fellow coaches battle it out to build the best team, Us Weekly is compiling the very best blind auditions of the season.

Keep reading to see who impressed audiences across America and make sure to watch

The Voice airing on NBC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET with past episodes available to stream on Peacock.

'The Voice' Winners Through the Years: Where Are They Now?

Britton Moore – Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’

Look at the stars; look how they shine for Britton. After missing a previous season of The Voice because his high school baseball team made it to the championships, Britton made it to the stage and earned a four-chair turn from the judges.

“There was definitely something in your voice that reminded me a little bit of how I do it,” Adam told the 21-year-old Texas native. “I just felt, like, an instant connection with you. I pushed really early because I felt this kid is going to be special and I was right.” Britton ultimately chose Team Adam.

Bryson Battle – Donny Hathaway’s  ‘A Song for You’

Within seconds of covering “A Song for You,” Bryson wowed each of the judges with his range and tone. “You might have the greatest voice I’ve ever heard in my life,” Michael said. “I sing that song every night in my shows, and I’ve never sung it that good.”

The North Carolina native ultimately picked Team John as he moved toward the battle rounds.

Grace-Miller Moody – Maroon 5’s ‘Sunday Morning’

It takes a brave singer to appear on The Voice and sing a classic Maroon 5 hit in front of the band’s lead singer. But when Grace-Miller took the stage, she quickly received a four-chair turn thanks to her unique rendition of “Sunday Morning.”

“Forget the song,” Adam said. “I know it’s mine. I know you have great taste in music. All of that’s fantastic. … I can definitely help you get to where you want to go. The potential is limitless.”

Ethan Eckenroad – Noah Kahan’s ‘Northern Attitude’

In just two short weeks, Ethan’s audition received more than one million views on YouTube. His take on “Northern Attitude” quickly earned him a four-chair turn and praise from Kelsea.

“This is the first time I felt like I was turning for an artist like I’m at your show,” she said. “I love Noah. I have a song out with Noah right now [and] I’m a fan of you.” Despite the country singer’s persuasive argument, Ethan chose Team Adam.

RENZO – Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Simple Man’

Some music fans may have recognized RENZO from when he made the Top 10 on American Idol seven years ago. At that time, he auditioned with his full name, Dennis Lorenzo.

While appearing on The Voice, RENZO picked Team John after hearing a compelling argument from the Grammy winner. “The only award I want to win with you is The Voice,” Legend said. “And then watch you go win a bunch of Grammys on your own.”

Martin Short Reacts to 1st SAG Awards Win After Skipping Ceremony

Martin Short is celebrating his 2025 SAG Awards win despite missing out on the ceremony.

During the event on Sunday, February 23, Short won his first SAG Award at the age of 74, taking home the trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in Only Murders in the Building. The Hulu series also scored Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Short, however, was noticeably absent from the awards show. In a statement to Deadline on Sunday, Short’s rep explained that the actor “was not able to attend due to Covid.”

While he wasn’t there to thank his peers in person, Short expressed his gratitude in a statement, noting, “The honor of being in Only Murders In The Building is the most spectacular compliment anyone could be given. The honor of being awarded by your peers is even greater. Thank you so so much.”

2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet Fashion: Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, More

Fellow OMITB star Steve Martin was also not in attendance “due to a previous conflict in his schedule,” per his reps. Martin later congratulated Short, writing via Instagram, “I’m the buddy of a winner! Congratulations to Martin Short for his best comedy actor award, and thank you SAG for our comedy ensemble award!”

Martin, 79, revealed earlier this month that Short contracted COVID at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special, announcing that the pair’s live shows in Durham, North Carolina, and Knoxville, Tennessee, for their Dukes of Funnytown Tour were postponed until October. The duo were originally expected to perform in Tennessee on Sunday.

“So sorry for the inconvenience,” Martin wrote via Instagram while announcing the new dates. “I think we’ll be funnier then, anyway.”

Without Short and Martin by her side, Selena Gomez accepted the award for Ensemble in a Comedy Series on behalf of the OMITB cast.

Who Skipped the 2025 SAG Awards? Martin Short and More

“We never win, this is so weird,” Gomez, 32, said on Sunday, joking, “Marty and Steve aren’t here because … you know, they don’t really care.”

Gomez was joined on stage by Michael Cyril Creighton, Richard Kind, Kumail Nanjiani and Molly Shannon. Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria and Zach Galifianakis, who were recognized for their work on season 4, didn’t appear at the SAG Awards.

OMITB has been nominated in the ensemble category every year since 2022, but Sunday marked the show’s first win.

Welcome to Plathville star Lydia Plath just said “I do.”

The reality TV personality tied the knot with her fiancé, Zac Wyse, on Saturday, February 2022. “The Wyse family, Est. 2~22~25❤💍,” Lydia captioned photos from the couple’s nuptials, which were held on her family’s Georgia farm, via Instagram.

Lydia, 21, embraced her bridal beauty in a flowy, short-sleeved white gown with a floral embroidered bodice. Matching their wedding’s blue color scheme, Wyse donned a navy suit with a light blue tie and pocket square. In her post, Lydia shared a family photo of the pair with her parents, Barry and Kim Plath, and several of her siblings.

Lydia is one of Barry and Kim’s nine children, including Ethan, 26, Hosana, 25, Micah, 23, Moriah, 22, Isaac, 19, Amber, 15, Cassia, 13, and Mercy, 12. The family rose to fame on TLC’s Welcome to Plathville, which premiered in 2019. The series follows the kids as they look to forge their own paths outside of their strict religious upbringing, which included not having cellphones and having limited access to pop culture, among other rules.

'Welcome to Plathville': Get to Know the Plath Family

In addition to the Plath family, 115 guests watched Lydia and her now-husband share their very first kiss ever at the altar during their wedding ceremony. “The discipline it has taken to save our first kiss for the wedding day is an example of the commitment we have for each other going into our marriage,” Wyse told People in an interview published on Sunday, February 23.

Wyse noted that using Lydia’s family farm as the venue was a sentimental choice, as they “wanted to create new memories on top of the many memories Lydia had growing up here.” He added to People, “Neither of us wanted to get caught up in the details we won’t remember for the years to come. So we’ve tried to keep our focus on what our purpose for this day is, our union before God, our friends, and family.”

Lydia, for her part, gushed about her wedding dress, calling the gown, “the perfect balance of lace and sparkle while remaining very light and flowy.”

The duo each wrote their own vows and incorporated traditional ones, as well. After the wedding, Lydia told People that the couple’s celebration “couldn’t have happened without everyone who just gave so much, and I’ve been blown away by the beauty of it all. It was so much better than I could ever have imagined.”

Wyse noted, “It was nothing short of a miracle how this day came together.”

The pair’s wedding comes two months after Wyse popped the question. “A million reasons to say YES to the love of my life!🥹❤💍 @zaclwyse you’re a gift from the Lord!🤍” Lydia captioned pics from their forest-set proposal via Instagram in December 2024. “The way you care for not only me, but for my family, my friends and everyone you come across in such an intentional way is a rare gem to find. … I love you so much❤ And I’m so blessed to call you mine❤.”

Welcome to Plathville’s Plath Family’s Ups and Downs Through the Years

Lydia first teased that she was in a relationship via Instagram in October 2024 by sharing a snap of their hands holding each other for National Boyfriend Day. One month later, she made their romance Instagram official.

“Words can’t describe how grateful I am the Lord has brought you into my life!❤,” Lydia captioned her first Instagram pics with Wyse in November 2024. “You never cease to amaze me with the adventures we go on, supporting me in every high and low, and overflowing every moment with joy as we pursue the Lord together. My love @zaclwyse 🤍.”

Natural Deodorants Are the Hottest Thing Lately — Here's the Best One Made for Him

Is it just Us or are people more eco and health-conscious lately? Maybe it’s our favorite essential oil celebs influencing the masses or maybe it’s just a sign of the times, but either way, chemical-free lifestyles are more popular than ever. Everything from natural cleaning products to animal-free meat alternatives is trending!

While it’s impossible to completely avoid chemicals, we can try our best to consume, purchase and live more naturally. It comes down to the day-to-day decisions we make. But perhaps one of the easiest ways to improve our health is to focus on what we’re putting in and on our bodies. We can’t directly control the air we breathe, but we can control what we buy and apply to our skin!

This Peptide Cream Is the Only Moisturizer You Need for Winter And Beyond

Using a chemical-free deodorant is a simple swap, one that requires nothing more than a few extra bucks. But checking reviews is critical with natural deodorants; some don’t have the odor-preventing capabilities they say they do, while others contain a secret list of sulfates, phthalates and parabens. If you want a clean, natural, fail-proof deodorant that provides 48-hour protection and a slew of other benefits, check out this bestselling formula at Blu Atlas!

Made without aluminum, baking soda or other nasties, it contains everything you want and nothing you don’t. This non-greasy deodorant derives 99 percent of its ingredients from natural origins like plants, minerals and fruits. Plus, the formula goes on in one fell swoop without leaving any pilling or residue. It won’t stain your clothes, either!

In addition to odor-blocking bamboo extract and arrowroot powder, this roll-on contains mulberry root extract to brighten the skin, thereby reducing dark spots, hyperpigmentation and discoloration. It also contains horsetail, sage and aloe vera to soothe the skin and prevent irritation. Volcanic ash is another superstar in the ingredient lineup, one that actually detoxifies the skin! Note that the formula doesn’t prevent sweat, but rather the odor associated with perspiration.

As if the technical stuff wasn’t enough, this deodorant seriously smells like a cologne! There are three scents to choose from — as well as a fragrance-free option — all of which are crowd-favorites. The classic scent will give you a just-showered smell while the coconut apricot is sweet, refreshing and tropical. If you want an ultra-manly smell, opt for santal cedar. It combines sandalwood and cedar for a smoky, warm scent that is as sophisticated as it is classy.

Whichever scent you choose, you’ll have peace of mind with what you’re putting on your body. According to reviewers, “It actually works!”

Meet the Characters From CBS' 1st Black Daytime Soap ‘Beyond the Gates’

Beyond the Gates is making history at CBS, but who stars in CBS’ highly-anticipated new soap opera?

According to the synopsis, Beyond the Gates takes place in a posh gated community in one of the most affluent African American counties just outside of Washington, D.C. The Duprees are at the center of the show as “the very definition of Black royalty” in the luxurious Fairmont Crest community.

“At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty,” the synopsis continued. “But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those that live outside these gates are watching closely.”

Beyond the Gates, which premieres on Monday, February 24, makes history as the first Black soap opera in nearly 35 years. The show — a joint venture between CBS Studios and the NAACP — is the first daytime soap centered around a Black family since Generations, which ended in 1991 after a 13-month run. Beyond the Gates is also leaving another mark in the soap genre as the last time a new daytime show premiered was in 1999 with NBC’s Passions.

“The Gates will be everything we love about daytime drama, from a new and fresh perspective,” President of the CBS Studios NAACP venture, Sheila Ducksworth, said in a March 2024 press release. “This series will salute an audience that has been traditionally underserved, with the potential to be a groundbreaking moment for broadcast television. With multi-dimensional characters, juicy storylines and Black culture front and center, The Gates will have impactful representation, one of the key touchstones of the venture.”

Keep scrolling and let Us introduce you to the characters at the center of the messy, dramatic and epic soap opera:

1923's Cole Brings Plenty Was Honored — And Recast — in Season 2 Premiere

Cole Brings Plenty‘s death was addressed during the season 2 premiere of 1923 with a tribute — and a recasting.

During the Sunday, February 23, episode of the Yellowstone prequel, an “In Memoriam” message was shown before Brings Plenty’s character, Pete, was reintroduced. Jeremy Guana will now be playing Pete, the son of Hank Plenty Clouds (Michael Greyeyes). Pete found Teonna (Aminah Nieves) after she ran away from the reservation school and reunited her with her father, Runs His Horse (Michael Spears).

Guana previously worked with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan on 1883, another prequel of the hit Paramount+ series. Cole, meanwhile, was the nephew of Yellowstone star Mo Brings Plenty.

In March 2024, a warrant was issued for Cole’s arrest in relation to a domestic violence incident. According to a press release, authorities were called to the scene after reports of a screaming woman, but Cole had fled in his vehicle before they arrived. Mo and his Yellowstone costar Cole Hauser asked for the public’s assistance in finding his nephew.

“My good friend @mobringsplenty nephew is missing,” Hauser, 49, who plays Rip, wrote via Instagram in April 2024. “He was last seen on Easter evening in Kansas City. If you have any information on his whereabouts please contact the below or your local police.”

Cole’s father, Joseph Brings Plenty Sr., also released a statement about his son’s disappearance, writing via Facebook, “If anyone knows where my son Cole Brings Plenty is please tell him to call me. His family is very worried about him.. Last seen early morning hours on Easter morning.. He hasnt messaged me or called me back, I have some of our family and friends in the area looking for him. Love you son, just reach out to me, messaging you on your phone.”

Days later, Cole was found dead at age 27. A cause of death was not released, but Lawrence Kansas Police Chief Rich Lockhart confirmed that there was no foul play.

Most Shocking Celebrity Deaths of All Time

“None of us could have imagined this outcome,” Lockhart shared in a statement at the time. “I learned through this series of events that our Police Department must work harder to increase trust with our Native American community members. Through meeting with Cole’s family members and members of our Native American community, I clearly see that we are not where we need to be in partnering with a community that is very important to Lawrence’s history and to its current culture.”

He continued: “It’s my hope that future bridges we build and partnerships we form between our Native American community and our police department will create a relationship that will not only increase trust and understanding but will also be a model for other communities.”

Season 2 of 1923 airs Sundays on Paramount+.

Justin Bieber's Rep Addresses 'Harmful' Rumors Singer Is Using Drugs

A rep for Justin Bieber is speaking out amid widespread concern for the singer’s well-being.

The representative told TMZ on Sunday, February 23, that rumors about Bieber using hard drugs are “absolutely not true,” calling the speculation “exhausting and pitiful.” Per the rep, the chatter about Bieber’s mental health “shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”

The past year has been “very transformative” for Bieber, who “ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”

A source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month that Bieber, 30, is “happier than he’s been in a long time” despite raising eyebrows with his behavior and recent outings. “There’s no breakdown,” the insider added, noting that the pop star “just really doesn’t care what people think.”

Justin Bieber’s Most Honest Quotes About His Mental Health Struggles

Justin initially sparked concern in January when eagle-eyed fans noticed he was no longer following his wife, Hailey Bieber, on Instagram. The 28-year-old Rhode founder, however, was still following Justin. (The couple have been married since 2018 and welcomed son Jack Blues last year.)

As the alleged social media activity made headlines, Justin set the record straight via his Instagram Story. “Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” he claimed. “S— is getting suss out here.”

In the weeks since, Justin has been spotted out and about in sweats — and was even spotted leaving a spa shirtless. “He’s just being himself and won’t create a squeaky clean image just because the public wants him to,” the source told Us this month.

Following his rise to fame as a teen idol, Justin has faced a few ups and downs in the spotlight. He’s spoken candidly about struggling with his mental health, revealing to Vogue in February 2019 that he “got really depressed” on his Purpose tour and used Xanax.

“Drugs put a screen between me and what I was doing. It got pretty dark,” he confessed. “I think there were times when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing.”

A source told Us at the time that Justin sought out a therapist, adding, “He doesn’t want to be dependent on medication. He struggles with ups and downs, anxiety, depression and uncertainty about the future.”

Hailey, meanwhile, has stood by her husband’s side. “I just wanted him to be happy and be good and be safe and feel joy,” she told Vogue. “I’m really proud of him. To do it without a program, and to stick with it without a sober coach or AA or classes — I think it’s extraordinary. He is, in ways, a walking miracle.”
