The 16-year-old uploaded an Instagram Story on Wednesday, January 29, with the caption “ICT -> DCA,” referencing the codes for Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Lane and his mother, Christine, were among the passengers on American Airlines flight 5342, which collided with an Army helicopter and fell into the Potomac River. “It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of the singer, songwriter and actress Marianne Faithfull,” a Thursday, January 30, statement shared with the BBC read. “Marianne passed away peacefully in London today, in the company of her loving family. She will be dearly missed.”
Faithfull released over 20 albums and was best known for her 1964 hit “As Tears Go By,” which was later covered by the Rolling Stones. Faithfull dated band frontmanMick Jagger from 1966 to 1970.
“It was wonderful hanging out with the Stones, and I loved Mick,” the British star recalled to The Guardianin January 2013.
Years later, Faithfull admitted that she wasn’t sure if dating Jagger, now 81, made her a “stronger woman.”
“I don’t know if it did. It almost destroyed me,” she told Rolling Stonein a 2021 profile. “Although it was wonderful, it was only four years. It was a wonderful time, and he was great, but I don’t think I fit into that life or what he wanted in a woman, that’s all. I couldn’t do it.”
In 2018, Faithfull toldThe Guardian that she was no longer in touch with Jagger.
“It’s taken me years to separate myself from the Rolling Stones,” she told the newspaper. “I never talk about Mick anymore, and I won’t talk about then.”
Jagger broke his silence on Faithfull’s death later on Thursday, sharing a social media tribute.
“I am so saddened to hear of the death of Marianne Faithfull,” he wrote via X. “She was so much part of my life for so long. She was a wonderful friend, a beautiful singer and a great actress. She will always be remembered.
Faithfull divorced artist John Dunbar, with whom she shares her son, in 1966 before moving on with Jagger. When the two musicians called it quits, Faithfull moved on with Ben Brierly. She and Brierly were married between 1979 and 1986. She was later married to Giorgio Della Terza between 1988 and 1991.
In addition to her prolific acting and singing career, Faithfull has battled numerous health scares, including a battle with breast cancer in 2006.
“I have absolute faith and confidence in my fantastic medical team and, of course, I will be well again, if not better than ever,” she said in a statement at the time, postponing her concerts. “Next year’s tour, I want to assure fans, will be one big celebration.”
According to her spokesperson, Faithfull’s cancer was discovered quickly in an early stage by doctors. Faithfull was in remission by 2011.

Amy Schumer asked for permission — instead of forgiveness — before making a joke at the Kardashian family’s expense.
While promoting her upcoming Netflix movie Kinda Pregnant, Schumer, 43, revealed that she called Kim Kardashian before filming a certain scene.
“I said, ‘I want to make this joke where I’m reading this kid instead of a bedtime story, a tabloid,’” Schumer recalled on the Wednesday, January 29, episode of SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. “I pitched her a couple jokes. I asked if she would mind, and she didn’t mind. How cool is she?”
While fans will have to stream the film on Wednesday, February 5, to hear the whole joke, Stern, 71, knew the clip his guest was referring to.
“One of the highlights in the film for me was the bedtime story,” he said. “‘There once was a family of beautiful princesses called the Kardashians and they lived in a palace that their dad bought them by defending a murderer.’ I mean, what a f—ing line.”
According to Schumer, Kardashian, 44, was all good with the joke.
“She’s like, ‘Yeah, do the one about my dad defending a murderer,’” Schumer recalled. “She was that chill. She’s such a good sport.”

Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian, was one of the lawyers who famously defended O.J. Simpson in his murder trial. Simpson was found not guilty of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
Away from any cameras, Schumer and Kardashian have been friends for many years.
In addition to giving The Kardashians star advice ahead of her Saturday Night Live hosting debut in 2021, Schumer previously praised the SKIMS founder for being supportive of her career.
“She is a support system and I hope I’m one for her, too,” the comedian said on an April 2022 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I’m trying to be a model for them but Kim’s not calling me back.”
These days, Schumer is focused on bringing some laughs to audiences with her latest movie.
According to the Netflix synopsis, Kinda Pregnant tells the story of Lainy (Schumer) who becomes jealous of her best friend’s pregnancy. She begins to wear a fake baby bump and accidentally meets the man of her dreams, played by Will Forte.
“Will was my choice,” Schumer revealed. “I love working with really funny guys because that’s who I like.”
Kinda Pregnant is available to stream on Netflix starting Wednesday, February 5.

Andy Reid is giving Travis Kelce a glowing recommendation if he ever wanted to take up coaching after his NFL career comes to an end.
“Travis would be a heck of a football coach,” the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, 66, said during a Wednesday, January 29, appearance on The Herd With Colin Cowherd. “He’s able to get up there and explain things and teach these young guys what he sees and feels.”
Reid added that while working with some of the Chiefs’ younger players, Kelce, 35, has shared some insight into his natural instincts.
“He’s got a good feel for the game,” Reid said of Kelce.
Both Reid and Kelce got their start in Chiefs Kingdom in 2013. Reid was announced as the team’s head coach in January of that year after parting ways with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he served as head coach for 13 seasons. When going into the 2013 draft, Reid was familiar with Travis since he previously coached the tight end’s older brother, Jason Kelce. Travis was ultimately selected by the Chiefs in the third round.
Since then, Reid and Travis have formed a close bond working together for the past decade. Their connection has helped Reid know what to expect from Travis on any given game day.

“Because I’ve been around him so much for so long — we’ve had my whole duration here and drafted him — I kind of know where he’s at physically [and] mentally,” Reid said on Wednesday. “I know what he can do in games so we try to utilize him.”
While Reid knows “what’s around” Travis during the game, he acknowledged that there was a period of time when the Chiefs were getting “banged up a little bit” during the season.
“Guys were trying to learn. [Travis] was being double teamed that wasn’t as good for him,” he joked.
While Travis hasn’t shared news of retirement or what career possibilities he wants to pursue post-NFL, he’ll seemingly have plenty of options. In addition to playing football, Travis has dabbled in other projects like his and Jason’s podcast “New Heights.” Travis has also ventured into the entertainment sphere as he’s the host of the game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity, in addition to his role on FX’s Grotesquerie.
For now, Travis’ focus is still on football and he hasn’t expressed any interest in retiring anytime soon. He previously shared that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has been a major support system as he continues to play for the Chiefs.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Travis said during a January appearance on the Stephen A. Smith Show. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
Despite some rough moments this season, the Chiefs ultimately secured their spot in Super Bowl LIX, which takes place on Sunday, February 9. This will be their third consecutive appearance at the big game and, if they win again, the Chiefs will make NFL history as the first team to win three titles in a row.
During a Thursday, January 30, press conference, The Skating Club of Boston’s CEO, Doug Zeghibe, said “to the best of our knowledge, 14 skaters returning home” from the U.S. Figure Skating National Championships in Wichita, Kansas, were killed in the Wednesday, January 29, crash.
Zeghibe explained “we have lost family” and explained that the tragedy will have “long-reaching impacts for our skating community.”
The Skating Club of Boston sent 18 athletes to compete at the National Championships in Wichita. In a statement released on Thursday, Zeghibe revealed six members of the Club’s community had been killed in the crash: 16-year-old figure skaters Spencer Lane and Jinna Han, their respective mothers, Christine Lane and Jin Han, and coaches Vadim Naumov and Evengenia Shishkova.
Naumov and Shishkova, who were married, were the 1994 world champions in pairs. The couple shared a son, Max, who competed and finished fourth in the men’s event in Wichita, but he left on Monday, January 27, while his parents stayed in Kansas to coach at the U.S. Figure Skating national development camp.

“Our sport and this Club have suffered a horrible loss with this tragedy,” the Skating Club’s statement read. “Skating is a tight-knit community where parents and kids come together 6 to 7 days a week to train and work together. Everyone is like family. Of the skaters, coaches and parents on the plane, we believe six were from The Skating Club of Boston. We are devastated and completely at a loss for words.”
The statement continued, “These athletes, coaches and parents were returning from U.S. Figure Skating’s National Development Camp, following last week’s U.S. Championships in Wichita. This camp is for young competitive skaters of tomorrow with the most promise to be a champion of tomorrow. The Club sent 18 athletes to compete at the U.S. Championships. It sent 12 athletes to the National Development Camp.”
In a statement provided by U.S. Figure Skating to news outlet WUSA9 on Thursday, the organization confirmed “several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington, D.C.”
Sixty passengers and four crew members were onboard the flight, which collided with an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport and fell into the Potomac River. There are not believed to be any survivors.

“This past calendar year was probably the first time in my life [that was] unexpected,” Wade, 43, said on the Thursday, January 30, episode of his “The Why” podcast. “When you go through physical elements that you can’t feel, you can’t see because I’m an athlete who’s been pretty healthy. … Post-retirement, you don’t get those same checkups [or] physicals.”
According to Wade, he “took a few years off” annual appointments and only saw a doctor after turning 40.
“I went in and I was like, ‘Doc, I want to know everything about my body head to toe. I got some things that I’m feeling. I got some stomach issues,’” Wade recalled. “In that process of checking the certain cramps that I feel at the time, checking why my piss is coming out slow [and] why my stream isn’t powerful [and] why it’s a little weak, I’m asking these questions now because my father went through something.”
Wade subsequently underwent a full-body scan, which indicated “that there was something on [his] right kidney.”
“I didn’t go in for my kidney, and so what I had on my kidney was a tumor,” the retired NBA star recalled. “It was [something] that could be biopsied, that they could surgically remove.”
Wade’s doctor then informed him that he needed kidney surgery to take out the tumor. After getting a second opinion, Wade made the “personal decision” to go under the knife to avoid cancer spreading inside his body.
“I made a decision to have surgery on December 18, 2023,” Wade said. “My father was there to walk me into the hospital. My wife [Gabrielle Union] was there when I woke up. There’s only two people you can have in hospital.”

He added, “Obviously, at 41 years old, [I’m a] pretty healthy guy that did have cancer. Thank God that I did do the surgery because the tumor was cancerous. So, I have one kidney and I have another kidney that is [at] 60 percent. They took 40 percent of my kidney to make sure they can get all the cancer off it.”
According to Wade, his surgery was likely the first time that his family and his children “saw [him] weak.” (Wade shares children Zaire, 22, and Zaya, 17, with ex-wife Siovaughn Funches, son Xavier, 10, with ex Aja Metoyer and daughter Kaavia, 6, with wife Union, 52.)
“That moment was probably the weakest point I’ve ever felt in my life,” he said. “The moments I was by myself, I was struggling. One thing you never want to do as a man … is [for] your family to see you weak. It’s tough.”
Wade further shared that he was “fortunate” that his family “jumped in” to help his recovery.
“I saw everybody show up for me and be there for me,” Wade said. “In that process of my weakness, I found strength in my family, in my friends, in my group.”
Wade has since recovered and made a vow “to do things differently” in his life.
“I came out of that and I’ve been doing things differently and I’ve been attacking life that way. I’m not waiting,” he concluded.
Punk rock legend Patti Smith has updated fans on her health following reports that she collapsed on stage in Brazil.
“This is letting everyone know that I am fine,” she wrote via Instagram on Thursday, January 30. “A grossly exaggerated account is being spread by the press and social media.”
Smith, 78, was beginning a headlining set with experimental music group Soundwalk Collective at the Teatro Cultura Artística in São Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday, January 29, when she collapsed on stage, according to TMZ.
The singer was reportedly reading a spoken-word statement about climate change when she experienced a health emergency and was soon ushered off stage.
According to local reports, Smith eventually returned to the stage in a wheelchair to tell fans she felt “very badly” and would not be cleared by her doctor to perform a full show. Instead, Smith sang two acapella tracks before ending the event early.
Smith later explained on Instagram that “post migraine dizziness” led to “a small incident” that had been blown out of proportion in the media.
“I was checked out by an excellent Doctor and was absolutely fine,” she wrote. “Please do not accept any other story. With all the strife in the world, this explainable incident does not merit so much attention. Thank you everyone for your concern. Trust me I am fine.”

Her collaborators Soundwalk Collective posted a statement signed by Smith via their Instagram Story to confirm that she would be back on stage for a second scheduled performance at the Cultura Artística Theater on Thursday.
“Patti has suffered from an intense migraine the past couple days and had some dizziness on stage but she still wanted to be there for all of us and you and perform today,” the statement read. “She is now being cared for by the best doctors in the most loving way and will be back on stage [on Thursday].”
Soundwalk Collective thanked those in attendance for their “beautiful energy and [their] supportive presence” in light of events.
“Patti says she is tremendously grateful for your patience and forgiveness and she sends her love to all who attended,” the group added.

The rock legend is set to be honored at the Music Of Patti Smith concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City on March 26 to benefit music education for underserved youth.
Former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders, The National’s Matt Berninger and Sharon Van Etten are among more than 20 artists who will perform Smith’s influential music at this tribute show.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will then appear at a free Poet’s Voice event at the Greenwich Library in Connecticut on April 12 where she will reflect on her work as a poet, singer, songwriter and fine artist over the past 50 years.
The four-time Grammy nominee’s groundbreaking 1975 album Horses was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2021. She was previously given the prestigious Polar Music Prize in 2011 for her contributions to both poetry and rock music.
Will Smith is marking his return to music with a brand-new single and album.
The Grammy winner released a fresh track with Big Sean on Thursday, January 30, titled “Beautiful Scars.”
Produced by OmArr and LeXoskeleton, the track explores the pains of fame and learning from one’s mistakes. Both Smith, 56, and Big Sean, 36, trade raps echoing off one another as they recall becoming stronger through their mistakes or “beautiful scars.”
“It’s the beautiful scars, yeah / It’s the beautiful flaws, yeah,” Big Sean raps in the chorus. “I done fell about a million times / Now I rise up again closer to God / It’s the beautiful scars, yeah / It’s the beautiful flaws, yeah.”
“Beautiful Scars” is expected to be featured on Smith’s forthcoming album, Based on a True Story, which is slated to be released in March.
The body of work will mark Smith’s first album in more than 20 years and will feature previously released singles including “You Can Make It,” “Work of Art” and “Tantrum.”

Smith also revealed he met Big Sean during a promo event for the Peacock series Bel Air. The pair quickly bonded after listening to “Work of Art.”
Previously, Smith offered a glimpse into his music journey. While some fans may speculate that the new songs came quickly, the actor explained that inspiration came over a long period of time.
“In the last couple of years, I’ve been really deep-dive soul searching more than almost any point in my life. “Immediately, I said, ‘If you want a recipe for a relationship to at some point, have conflict, to feel out of touch, to have issues from a lack of communication, start filming those intimate moments — like a dinner together — every time,’” Higgins, 35, said on the Wednesday, January 29, episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast.
Higgins — who was reacting to Kirkconnell’s Tuesday, January 28, appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast — pointed out that the former Bachelor contestant could have given an “over-dramatization” of the events. However, Higgins noted that even filming a majority of the meals could lead to uncomfortability during the meal.
“Ashley [Iaconetti], you’re really good at this now. This comes very natural to you, jumping on camera, talking on a camera, but there’s still a level of you turning it on when that phone starts recording, right?” Higgins said, to which Iaconnetti, 36, agreed. “You’re aware of it. You’re not, like, just relaxed. You’re working. That camera’s on at a dinner, it’s gonna start feeling like work.”
He continued, “It’s gonna start feeling like, ‘OK, can I have this bite of food? Is there going to be food on my face?’ Or, ‘Hey, can I ask Matt this question about where he’s at in our relationship and is he going to be upset with me because I’m gonna want to do it maybe during a dinner that he’s going to want to be filming, and so we’re gonna have to spend 30 minutes of this dinner actually having a conversation that matters and not just worrying about how the food looks or how it’s plated, or when the waiter’s coming up to drop the dishes.’”
Higgins cautioned listeners from following in the footsteps of Kirkconnell, 28, and James, 33, when it comes to using the phone at the dinner table.

“Don’t do this,” Higgins said. “Like we just talked about it last week, Ashley. One of the things for kids, when they grew up in a house, that means the most of them over time is when they sat down with their family for dinner. … So as a couple, do it. Invest into that time. I’m not saying you can’t ever film it or you can’t take pictures of it. That’s their job. But it felt like at some point, Rachael was wanting to say to Matt, ‘Hey, this is getting overwhelming for me.’”
Days after James revealed that he and Kirkconnell called it quits, she appeared on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast to share her side of the story. (James and Kirkconnell met during The Bachelor season 25 in 2021, and continued pursuing a relationship outside of the show.)
In the tell-all interview, Kirkconnell shared that the ultimate demise of their relationship began when the pair butted heads over where to go for dinner in Tokyo — and she briefly got emotional after feeling like she was “disappointing” him over her choice.
“He was like, ‘I’m just so confused, like, why you were so upset. Like, what was that?’ And I explained to him, like, ‘I felt like I’d let you down.’ Like, ‘I felt like that was disappointing. And I hate going to a place that isn’t somewhere that you could post about [on Instagram]. I feel like it’s a waste.’ And he just was trying to tell me like, ‘It’s not that serious. Like, it’s not that big of a deal.’ But then he was concerned about me getting so upset. He was like, ‘That was like, there was no reason for you to get upset like that.’ And he found it concerning that I got that emotional, I guess,” she recalled.
Kirkconnell continued, “He was trying to express to me, like, ‘If you get emotional about little things like this, what is going to happen in life when something really terrible happens? Like, how are you going to be able to react to things that are actually really scary or disappointing or sad?’ … I felt like I was being punished for crying.”
James broke up with Kirkconnell the following day, and shared the news with his Instagram followers hours later. Now, Kirkconnell shared that she’s moving forward — and doesn’t think the twosome will rekindle their romance.
“It’s different every day. I’m doing OK,” Kirkconnell said. “I would say some days are better than others — one day I’m feeling kind of empowered, like, ‘I’m excited to be on my own.’ And the next day I can barely get out of bed and I just miss him and I’m sad about everything.”

News broke on Wednesday, January 29, that the airplane, which departed from Kansas, crashed into an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. The plane fell into the Potomac River, with emergency crews responding to the scene to conduct a search and rescue operation.
There were reportedly 60 passengers and four crew members on the flight. U.S. Figure Skating announced on Thursday, January 30, that several athletes were on the flight.
“U.S. Figure Skating can confirm that several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington, D.C.” read a statement shared via social media. “These athletes, coaches and family members were returning home from National Development Camp held in conjunction with the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.”
The Kansas City Figure Skating Club has since offered more insight into the event that took place before the incident.
“The National Development Camp is a camp for skaters who place in the top four at the juvenile, intermediate, novice levels at the Midwestern, Eastern, West Coast sectionals, and are invited to attend to train with the top level coaches/skaters following the championships,” they shared in a statement to the Kansas City Star. “Some local clubs have sent skaters to this camp in the past.”
The statement continued, “We had several members attend the championships as spectators, officials, and volunteers but they’re all home safe. We do have officials, coaches and members who knew some of the ones who were lost, and our hearts are with their families.”
Figure skater Spencer Lane, who competes with the Skating Club of Boston, shared an Instagram post from the aircraft prior to the crash. He uploaded a photo of the runway at the Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport, writing “ICT -> DCA,” signifying that the flight was set to land at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
As more details emerge regarding the crash — officials reported on Thursday that 14 figure skaters were involved in the deadly incident — many members of the skating community have shared their emotional reactions.

“Our sport and this Club have suffered a horrible loss with this tragedy,” the club shared in an Instagram statement. “Skating is a tight-knit community where parents and kids come together 6 to 7 days a week to train and work together. Everyone is like family. Of the skaters, coaches and parents on the plane, we believe six were from The Skating Club of Boston. We are devastated and completely at a loss for words.”
Along with Lane, skater Jinna Han died in the crash. Their respective mothers, Christine Lane and Jin Han, were also on board the plane and killed, along with married club coaches Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova.
“It’s unimaginable the loss,” she wrote. “We will mourn their loss and ALWAYS remember them. My heart is with all the families affected — that part I have no words for.”
Her statement continued, “‘Strength’ and ‘Love’ won’t do it justice. So many of our own were on this tragic flight and my heart aches for them and for everyone part of this devastating accident.”

The Olympic gold medalist described the U.S. Figure Skating Championships as “the most magical time of the year” for the figure skating world. “My heart is shattered thinking of those sweet young souls whose lives were cut so cruelly short, still buzzing from the magic of development camp in Wichita and full of hopes and dreams for the future,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. “Proud parents who have sacrificed so much, tired and eager to get home. The coaches who have dedicated their lives to guiding and nurturing young athletes. And for those waiting at home with a warm hug, excited to hear all about it. The couple’s romance began shortly after the first time Travis mentioned the pop star on the “New Heights” podcast, which he cohosts with brother Jason Kelce. In July 2023, Travis recalled how he saw Swift perform at the Arrowhead Stadium stop on her Eras Tour and how he wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.
While Travis shared his disappointment he didn’t get to connect with Swift at the show, the pair met up shortly after. In September 2023, Swift publicly confirmed her relationship with the tight end when she attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game.
“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift explained of her relationship with Kelce in a November 2023 interview with TIME. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

It All Began With a Friendship Bracelet
After attending the Eras Tour in July 2023, Travis chatted with Jason about his experience at the concert.
“Well, I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis confessed. “So I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
Jason was unaware of the Swiftie tradition of exchanging bracelets with other fans and Travis explained how he got a bunch while he was at the show.
“I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” he said. When Jason asked what number he was talking about, Travis replied, “You know which [number].”
Swift later called the gesture “metal as hell.”
Chiefs Game Shout-Out
After Swift attended her first Chiefs game in September 2023, Travis gave her the props she deserved. “Shout-out to Taylor for pulling up,” he said. “That was pretty ballsy.”
Travis also teased how much he enjoyed having her there and how she got along with his friends and family.
“I just thought it was awesome that everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her. The friends and family. She looked amazing … and on top of that, the day went perfect for Chiefs fans. We script it all, ladies and gentlemen,” he gushed. “It was absolutely electric.”
Wanting to Keep Things Low-Key
As Swift began appearing at more of Travis’ games, the twosome became a primary focus of the event. Travis admitted he felt guilty for the constant attention she was receiving during the broadcasts.
“I know I brought all this attention to me. I’m the one that … did the whole friendship bracelet thing and told everybody how butthurt I was that I didn’t get to meet Taylor. What’s real is that it is my personal life and I want to respect both of our lives,” he explained during a September 2023 episode. “She’s not in the media as much as I am, doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys’ shows.”

Jason brought up Swift in November 2023 after the Grammy winner “liked” a post about Travis becoming the fastest tight end to reach 11,000 yards.
“Thanks, Tay,” Travis sweetly said. “I appreciate you on the Chiefs page supporting the Yeti.”
‘Eras Tour’ Round 2
During his bye week, Travis traveled to Argentina to see Swift perform in November 2023. When he returned, Jason shared that he enjoyed seeing the clips of his brother at the show on social media.
“For those of you who haven’t seen all the videos of me on your TikTok and Instagram feed, I was enjoying myself down there in Buenos Aires,” Travis recalled. “The show was even more electric knowing that I had a little bit more to enjoy it for.”
Travis praised Swift’s performance, noting that she “killed it.”
Calling Out the Brads, Dads and Chads
After Swift attended the Chiefs and New England Patriots game in December 2023, Travis recalled the moment she received a round of applause despite her rooting for the opposing team.
“I’ll say this, they showed Taylor at the game and you don’t see an entire home team fanbase go insane for somebody wearing the opposite team’s colors. Just shows you how amazing that girl is,” he reflected. “They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen. … Might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing, but for the most part, everybody was f—king screaming at Taylor. I was trying to keep it cool, I was like, ‘Don’t show your cards.’”
An International Love Story
Travis traveled to Sydney in February 2024 to attend another one of Swift’s Eras Tour performances before meeting her in Singapore the following month. He gushed over the “fun times” he had exploring Singapore with Swift during a March 2024 episode of his and Jason’s podcast.
“I got to check out the world’s largest greenhouse, how about that?” Travis said, referring to himself as “a big plant guy.” He said the experience was “cool as f–k” even though the temperatures were “hot as f–k.”
Travis said he “loved” both Sydney and Singapore, comparing the vibes at each of Swift’s shows. “I want to see more of Australia, I feel like I got to see a little bit more of Singapore, so I’m gonna say Singapore was a little bit more interesting, for sure. … More unique, kind of a cooler experience,” he explained. “But I was only in Australia for, like, a couple hours.”
Not Sure ‘How the F–k’ He Pulled Taylor
“I don’t know how I did it because she wasn’t into sports,” Travis confessed during an April 2024 episode, reflecting on the beginning of his relationship. “So I don’t know how the f—k I did it.”
The NFL player was a little in awe of his ability to land Swift because of their initial differences. However, he explained he’s having “fun” and has enjoyed teaching her about his world.
“I’m having a blast in life, baby. Just flying high, enjoying it all,” Travis added. “Bringing new lives to the football world, opening the football world up to new things.”
Lucky No. 13
While broadcasting during their London trip, Jason and Travis put down roots in a bar that resembled Philadelphia. While recording, the brothers enjoyed a beer that was brought out by a bar manager rocking a uniform bearing the number 13, which is famously Swift’s favorite number — and Travis noticed instantly.
“Jessi, are you wearing 13 as your lucky number?” he asked, and she replied she was. Travis noted that he also “know[s] someone” with the same lucky number.
Jason added that 13 used to also be his favorite number and wore it when he played hockey as a kid.

The ‘Eras Tour’ (London’s Version)
Travis and Jason recapped their time going to see Swift perform at Wembley. The podcast episode was taped before Travis made his onstage debut.
The brothers shared their favorite moments from the show, which included Jason going full Swiftie with his friendship bracelets and how they both enjoyed the 22 hat moment and the acoustic set.
“It’s cool to see her get excited for that moment, and everybody at the show is obviously waiting for that part of the show to come up,” Travis said. “On top of that it, like, puts everybody in a room with Taylor.”
Travis added the shows were extra special because he got to watch his girlfriend while being surrounded by his friends and family.
“It’s cool to come over to London and support her and have a few beers while she absolutely killed it on stage,” he quipped.
Cosigning the Praise
When the Kelce brothers interviewed Adam Sandler on an August 2024 episode of their podcast, the actor gave Swift a loving shout-out. “By the way, what a girl,” Sandler gushed, to which Travis replied, “Best performer out here.”
Sandler went on to joke that he gets nervous around Swift because his daughters are such big fans. According to Travis, the respect is mutual. “She was so grateful that you took the girls up [to the Eras movie premiere], man,” he told Sandler.
VMAs, ESPN and More
“New Heights” dropped an episode the morning of the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2024, and the cohosts made sure to send Swift their support. “Hopefully, Taylor can walk away with a few. She’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight,” Travis said. “Hopefully, she can walk away with some Moonmen. Those are always one of the cooler trophies.”
Travis said he hoped Swift could “stay on top” of her already historic VMAs dominance but still noted that he was “wishing everybody the best” at the awards show. Jason, however, declared, “Unless you’re up against Tay, then I hope you [lose].”
In the same episode, Travis recapped his whirlwind weekend in NYC with Swift, which included an appearance at the US Open. Family ‘Eras Tour’ Outing
In October 2024, Jason and several other Kelce family members — including his daughters Wyatt and Ellie — attended one of Swift’s concerts in Miami during the final leg of the Eras Tour. Travis, however, was unable to join due to his NFL schedule.
“I had all the FOMO in the world with the entire family and a lot of our friends being there,” he said on an episode of “New Heights” that month.

When Borders revealed that he and Chatzky were “floored” that Swift even knew their names when they walked into the VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium, Travis called her a “pro” at breaking the ice.

Chappell Roan is letting her curls be free ahead of the 2025 Grammys.
On Wednesday, January 29, Roan, 26, showed off her natural kinks and makeup-free complexion via Instagram. The singer gazed into the camera while showing off her smooth skin, bright blue eyes and dark brown arches. She let her crimson coils run wild, with strands bouncing off the top of her head and cascading down her shoulders. Roan teamed her au naturel look with a navy blue graphic sweatshirt.
In a separate snap, she put on a pair of black sunglasses and gave the camera a pout.

“I’m trying to tear my dad away from a mountain of fire because he was, like, in this trance and would not leave,” Pratt, 41, said on the Thursday, January 30, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “I was like, ‘You’re gonna die, Dad.’ He was like, ‘I’m gonna stay and fight the fire. I did it in Malibu in the ‘70s.’”
According to Pratt, it took him “two hours” to coax his father to leave his Pacific Palisades home.
“I finally drove him away [and] then I watched on security cameras, he snuck back,” Pratt recalled. “So, now I’m watching my dad with this little garden hose as a mountain of flames is coming down the street. He’s not picking up his phone. The hardest part about the whole thing was watching and not having my dad pick up. I was like, ‘My dad’s gonna die.’”
The Hills alum further noted that his father “fully should have” died because he tried to extinguish flames at both his and Pratt’s houses. Both homes were ultimately destroyed in the blaze, which ravaged thousands of acres in L.A. earlier this month.
By the time Pratt’s dad picked up the phone, it “sounded like he had brain poisoning from the smoke,” he recalled. Pratt’s wife, Heidi Montag, later added on Thursday that they also called 911 to check on her father-in-law.
“They were like, ‘Absolutely not. No one is going there. Those roads are inaccessible. Whatever he is doing is taking his own life at risk,’” Montag, 38, recalled.

After Pratt called his dad upwards of “700 times,” the Pratt Daddy Crystals founder finally learned that he was planning to evacuate the area.
“He [later] went to the hospital with smoke inhalation poisoning or whatever,” Pratt told podcast host Nick Viall. “He can barely talk now. That was good and bad because it really took my mind off watching our own house burning down on the security cameras. At least my dad got out of there.”
Pratt and his father have since moved into new residences in the respective neighborhoods of Santa Barbara and Santa Monica. According to Pratt’s Thursday appearance, he and wife Montag are also discussing rebuilding their property but do not have the funds to cover all the costs.

“We put all of our money into our house and our life to build something for our kids to put in their name and every detail we just kept on every year for the last eight years,” Pratt exclusively told Us Weeklyearlier in January. “Our house was 3,000 square feet. It is not a mansion in the Palisades. Everything was perfect from the stoves to the washing machines. That’s all we put our money into — and then we go and eat nice groceries at Erewhon. But our life was like, ‘Put our money into our house, eat clean groceries and that’s it.’”

The women opened the show’s Thursday, January 30, episode by offering their condolences to the victims of the Washington, D.C. plane crash that occurred the night prior. “Our show, what we hope to do — and I’m so thrilled that I get to do it with you — is to bring some joy to all of you that are with us feeling that same pain,” Bush Hager, 43, said to her celebrity guest host.
Spreading joy is exactly why Judd, 60, said she wanted to sit alongside Bush Hager in the first place. “That’s why I came. I was gonna tell you this. Last night, I didn’t sleep at all because I just have you on my heart,” she shared. “I watch you every day. And I went on my own in 1992, solo, and I think about you so much. And you’re a mom and a wife, and I don’t know how you’re doing this.”
Wynonna rose to fame alongside her late mother, Naomi Judd, in the musical duo The Judds before launching her solo music career. Bush Hager was also part of a famous duo, having cohosted the fourth hour of Today alongside Hoda Kotb since 2019. Kotb exited the morning show after nearly 30 years working for NBC earlier this month.
“But I just want to affirm you and say being authentic is lonely, and I can imagine you feel that way sometimes,” Wynonna continued. “But I just love you and I appreciate you and I admire you so much.”

Wynonna is one of several celebrities who have cohosted Jenna & Friends with Bush Hager in the wake of Kotb’s departure. During her final episode on January 10, Kotb gushed about her nearly six years of cohosting Today’s fourth hour with Bush Hager.

Happy’s Place is kicking its humor up a notch by giving Melissa Peterman‘s character, Gabby, an AI baby on her journey to become a mother.
In Us Weekly‘s first look at the Friday, January 31, episode, Bobbie (Reba McEntire) and the rest of the tavern employees are surprised when Gabby walks in with a very realistic looking doll.
“You remember last week when you said that I would be a great mother right now? Well now is now! This is my starter baby,” Gabby tells the group in the clip. “It’s not human. It is an AI baby that I ordered online.”
Steve (Pablo Castelblanco) is the first one to poke fun at the situation, quipping, “Dear diary, the child that will free the robots has arrived.”
The others try to be more supportive. Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) calls the doll “so lifelike” while Bobbie finds a way to compliment Gabby’s fake newborn. (Rex Linn‘s Emmett, however, walks in and immediately walks out to avoid commenting on the situation.)

“That kid is creeping … right into my heart. So dang quiet,” Bobbie adds. “Why is it — he, she, it, them — why?
“Well, I wanted my baby to meet the rest of my family. And now that they have, we can spend the whole day together,” she explains before Steve jokes, “Dear diary, Alexa has found a body.”
Gabby’s path to motherhood was introduced earlier in the season. After Gabby expressed her interest in having a child solo, showrunner Kevin Abbott hinted that newcomer Danny (Steve Howey) might turn out to be a potential sperm donor for Gabby down the line, which Howey expressed excitement for.
“I think a sperm donor could be part of a romantic relationship. If it is the sperm donor route Kevin wants to go, that’s kind of romantic, right?” Howey quipped to Us in December 2024. “It’s a little weird to be honest. It’s a little weird, but I don’t know what they have planned. I mean, I’ve been called a sperm donor before [on Shameless].”

The potential story line is a nod to Peterman and Howey previously sharing the screen on Reba. The sitcom, which aired from 2001 to 2007, starred McEntire, Peterman, Christopher Rich, JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Howey. Nearly two decades later, McEntire and Peterman reunited for their new series with Abbott, who was a former Reba executive producer.
“I hope that the people that loved Reba love Happy’s Place. They loved Reba because it was funny. They loved it because it was relatable. They also loved it because it had heart,” Peterman exclusively told Us in October 2024. “And I think all of those elements are in this show that we have now.”
Peterman, who played Barbara Jean on Reba, urged fans to give Happy’s Place a chance, adding, “We are new characters. It’s a new time and it’s different. But those core things that you loved about it are there. It does feel really different [though]. And what I’m loving is the interaction with the new cast members including Pablo, Tokala [Black Elk] and Belissa.”
She added: “The other big difference is real life family and the reality of blended families. Happy’s Place is all about finding family at work, and Belissa’s character is also finding a family that she didn’t know existed and figuring that out. You’ll feel that same warm feeling, but you’re gonna [know] it’s new.”
Happy’s Place premieres on NBC Fridays at 8 p.m. ET.
Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano reflected on the tragic plane crash that killed multiple American figure skaters after spending a special week alongside them in Wichita, Kansas.
“My heart breaks for my skating family today and my thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by this horrible tragedy,” Boitano, 61, wrote via his Instagram Story on Thursday, January 30. “At a loss for words for my friends, Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, and their son Maxim .”
Shishkova and Naumov, who were married, were among the six confirmed members of The Skating Club of Boston who died in the Wednesday, January 29, crash. Spencer Lane and Jinna Han, both 16-year-old members of the U.S. Development Team, and their respective mothers, Christine Lane and Jin Han, were also killed.
The American figure skating community had descended on Kansas for the 2025 Prevagan U.S. Figure Skating Championships at Wichita’s INTRUST Bank Arena. The competition had wrapped up on Sunday, January 26, but some young skaters stayed for a training camp.
Boitano, a gold medalist at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, had hosted his Boitano’s Lounge at the arena from Friday, January 24, through Sunday. According to U.S. Figure Skating, Boitano’s Lounge included “signature cocktails, a full bar, a selection of appetizers, meals and special guests.”
It was also a notable week for Boitano away from the rink, as Brian’s late mother and Wichita native, Donna Boitano, was honored with a street named in her honor.
“Donna Boitano was born and raised in Wichita,” the city’s tourism board shared via Instagram on Friday. “When she attended her 50th Wichita North High reunion, she brought her Olympic Gold Medalist son, Brian Boitano. He stole the spotlight that night. So with the Prevagen US Figure Skating Championships in town, we decided to steal a little of Brian’s spotlight and honor his mother, Donna.”
The post concluded, “Needless to say, Brian is now an honorary Wichitan and an incredible sport. Here’s to Donna Boitano!”
In his own Instagram post on Wednesday, Brian called it a “memorable experience” and thanked Wichita for “honoring my mom.”
A statement released by Skating Club of Boston CEO Doug Zeghibe on Thursday confirmed the identities of the six club members who had died.
“Our sport and this Club have suffered a horrible loss with this tragedy,” the statement read. “Skating is a tight-knit community where parents and kids come together 6 to 7 days a week to train and work together. Everyone is like family. Of the skaters, coaches and parents on the plane, we believe six were from The Skating Club of Boston. We are devastated and completely at a loss for words.”
The statement continued, “These athletes, coaches and parents were returning from U.S. Figure Skating’s National Development Camp, following last week’s U.S. Championships in Wichita. This camp is for young competitive skaters of tomorrow with the most promise to be a champion of tomorrow. The Club sent 18 athletes to compete at the U.S. Championships. It sent 12 athletes to the National Development Camp.”
In a separate statement provided by U.S. Figure Skating to news outlet WUSA9 on Thursday, the organization confirmed the deaths of several of its athletes.
“U.S. Figure Skating can confirm that several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington, D.C.” the statement read. “These athletes, coaches and family members were returning home from National Development Camp held in conjunction with the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.”
At a press conference on Thursday, Zeghibe announced 14 U.S. figure skaters had been killed in the crash.
