5 Hot Stories: Justin Baldoni Speaks Out, Bachelor Nation Split Update

Justin Baldoni publicly addressed his drama with It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively shortly after she responded to his $400 million lawsuit. Speaking for the first time about the legal battle, Baldoni said he’s “grateful” for those supporting him. “We have amazing friends and family and faith,” he added in a video obtained by TMZ on Friday, January 17. Baldoni’s comment came one day after he filed a lawsuit alongside his production studio and other plaintiffs claiming Lively was “determined to make Baldoni the real-life villain in her story” to cover up her allegedly “tone-deaf” promotion of their 2024 film. Baldoni further claimed that Lively — who also served as a producer on the movie — never read the Colleen Hoover novel on which it’s based. Lively previously accused Baldoni, the movie’s director, of creating a “hostile work environment” in her own lawsuit filed last month. In a statement provided to Us Weekly, Lively’s legal team slammed Baldoni’s “desperate” attempt to “turn the tables” on the actress, alleging Baldoni’s strategy “will fail.” Wrap up the week with more of Us’ top stories below:

Jeremy Thinks Boston Rob Is 'On Thin Ice' After 'Traitors' Banishment Twist

After being murdered on The Traitors, Jeremy Collins weighed in on that shocking banishment twist — and what it means for Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano moving forward.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Jeremy, 46, reacted to Boston Rob’s decision to banish fellow Traitor Bob the Drag Queen.

“I think Wes [Bergmann] sussed it out real quick and now he’s just passing that around. So I think Rob is skating on the ice again,” Jeremy noted. “Rob, you should have worked with me and this wouldn’t be happening right now. Because I would have been like, ‘He’s not a Traitor. He’s good. Leave him alone.”

Jeremy suggested that Boston Rob “watch out now” because he has “people coming for” him, adding, “Derrick [Levasseur] actually would tell me, ‘Listen, I’m not a Traitor but one of those other two that came in are Traitor — Wes or Boston Rob. He’s telling people so Rob is now in trouble. He has to watch out now.”

All the ‘Survivor’ Connections on ‘The Traitors’ Season 3

The newest episode, which premiered on Thursday, January 17, kicked off with a murder in plain sight when the Traitors — Bob the Drag Queen, Danielle Reyes, Carolyn Wiger and Boston Rob — wrote three names down to be on the shortlist. Jeremy, Nikki Bella and Ciara Miller were the final choices, but it was the Survivor alum who didn’t make it.

“I forgive everybody. I’m a gamer so there’s no hard feelings on anything,” Jeremy told Us about being murdered in the fourth episode. “I do like that Carolyn was crying though. I had her back. We had a really good sit-down and I was like, ‘Carolyn, you shouldn’t worry about anybody else. You are a beautiful soul. Don’t let anyone stop your shine.’ I just think it was bad gameplay because I had all three of their backs.”

Jeremy does have one regret. After Jeremy, Nikki, 40, and Ciara, 28, were put in coffins before the Traitors chose who to murder, they were given the chance to plead their case. Jeremy surprised his fellow contestants when he said he would help the Traitors if he was kept around — despite his status as a Faithful.

Survivor's Biggest Villains and Fan Favorites

“It was a twist that I wasn’t prepared for. I didn’t think I was going to be in there right away. I go in and then I’m like, ‘OK, one of these other two are Traitors.’ So I’m running that through my mind, and then [host Alan Cumming] tells us the rules of what’s going to happen,” he recalled. “A lot of stuff is going on. I said that I would help the Traitors if they save me.”

Jeremy continued: “As soon as I say it, I’m like, ‘Damn, I shouldn’t have said that. Now if they do save me now I have to go and fix it with 20 other people right now.’ It was a lot going on. Then as soon as I was out of the coffin, I thought how I should have said, ‘I don’t talk much, but I did name one person that if I’m gone tomorrow, that person is the Traitor.'”

Jeremy later realized he should have stuck to not speaking too much at the beginning of the season.

“I do a lot of listening and watching. I wish I did that a little bit more,” he said before sharing a story about how his game plan shifted. “That’s how we work in Survivor. We get alliances and I usually don’t do that in my survival game. I would go to each one individually and talk to them [but not in groups]. I think I just talked too much, that’s all.”

All Rules and Behind-the-Scenes Secrets You Didn’t Know About ‘The Traitors’

But when it comes to Boston Rob, 48, Jeremy doesn’t think he would have had any success even if he tried a different approach, adding, “I played with Rob before on Survivor and I wanted to work with him on The Traitors. … But he never wanted to work with me, ever. So coming into this, I was like, ‘Let’s work together.’ And that’s who he is. He doesn’t want to work with me. So he doesn’t play well and he doesn’t share his toys.”

Jeremy still had a great time watching Boston Rob turn on Bob the Drag Queen, 38, even though the Traitors were on the same team.

“I thought it was great television. If they kept me — if Bob kept me — I would’ve been on Bob’s side,” Jeremy told Us. “I would’ve fought for Bob. I just think I was gone too soon, and I think it was a bad decision. If I waited one more [challenge] and that happened, it would’ve blown open the game and I would’ve been off and running.”

New episodes of The Traitors will be released on Peacock Thursdays until March 6.

Chrishell Stause ‘Would Have Died’ to Have Glam in the 'Traitors' Castle

Feature Chrishell Stause The Traitors
Chrishell Stause Euan Cherry/Peacock

Chrishell Stause wishes there was one change in the Traitors castle.

Stause, 43, exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about what went on behind the scenes of the season three of the murder-mystery show, sharing that the cast was responsible for their own hair and makeup. “I would’ve died to have glam in the castle, but [host] Alan [Cumming] [did] not allow us to,” the TV personality said.

“At least with Selling Sunset, you get to sit in a chair and have glam,” she added.

While Stause was her own hair and makeup artist, she still slayed. One of her most talked-about looks was a pink Balmain dress with black polka-dots, also worn by Margot Robbie, Gisele Bündchen and Alix Earle. The frock featured long sleeves, shoulder pads, a plunging neckline and rose details at the hip and bust.

Chrishell Stause Calls Sandoval's 'Traitors' Game Terrible: 'Loud and Wrong'

Stause made the look her own with platform black sandals and a voluminous half-up coif. She also got a chance to show off her makeup skills and donned a full beat, including long lashes, bronzed cheeks and pink lips.

Stause further compared Selling Sunset to Peacock’s The Traitors to Us, sharing she got super into the murder mystery game — despite running on little sleep.

“We’re filming from 8 a.m. to the latest — I got home one time at 2:00 a.m,” she told Us. Although she was waking up bright and early to film challenges for the show, Stause still got glammed up and dressed to the nines.

“Obviously, I absolutely loved the experience, and it’s one of those things where you’re just dying not to leave,” she said. “In the game, I loved it. Anyone would be heartbroken to leave. But that being said, your body is so tired too.”

Snakes! Selling Sunset's Chrishell Slams Producers for Manipulating Show

Compared to Selling Sunset, Stause still found The Traitors less taxing. “Even though I had no sleep and I didn’t have my phone, I still would rather someone go after me in that way and not go after my actual family and friends,” she said, noting that with Selling Sunset, she’s subject to online criticism surrounding her personal life. “Selling Sunset is more stressful.” Then again, at least there’s glam!

9 Winter Skincare Saviors to Combat Seasonal Dryness

Us Weekly has affiliate partnerships so we may receive compensation for some links to products and services.

The chilly weather can indicate the perfect time to refresh our skincare arsenals. Sure, we have those tried-and-true products we refuse to replace, but a substantial dip in temperature pushes Us to nurture our face and body with more protective and heavy formulas.

Board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon Dr. Michelle Henry emphasizes the importance of choosing certain consistencies and ingredients. The NYC-based doctor explains: “Thick, rich moisturizers with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides and glycerin [help] really protect the skin from the dry, cold air.” Another lesser-known reason to use the proper formulas: They work to shield skin against the “[drying] warm air that we use indoors.”

Henry also specified two products we should be using every day. “Switch to a hydrating cleanser and absolutely do not forget sunscreen,” she preached. The reason for the latter may surprise you: “The strength of a UV light is independent of the temperature in the air, so just because the temperature is cooler does not mean the UV strength is weaker, and it’s often when I see some of the worst burns!”

Below, 9 of the best beauty products to add to your routine this winter — from a shine-boosting lip treatment from Scarlett Johansson’s The Outset to a vitamin-rich cream that locks in moisture and leads to radiant results.

Dealing with itchiness and flakes on your scalp? Less humidity in the air can result in moisture loss. Moroccanoil’s Dry Scalp Treatment is made with skin-soothing and vitamin-rich agents (like argan and geranium oils), plus gently exfoliating salicylic acid, which can aid in alleviating dryness.

© dermalogica

The lack of moisture due to lower humidity and temperature can cause the face to appear less radiant and smooth. Keep an eye out for niacinamide and pro-vitamin B5 on labels — two agents infused in Dermalogica’s Multivitamin Power Recovery — to assist in improving luminosity and texture.

© MARIO BADESCU

Moisturizing the décolletage is just as important as moisturizing the face — especially since the area is delicate and oftentimes exposed. Mario Badescu’s Vitamin A-D-E Neck Cream can help pack on the hydration and in turn, diminish the appearance of fine lines.

© The Outset

Harsh external elements can lead to lips feeling far from supple. Try developing a habit of using a skin-barrier-supporting balm, such as The Outset Lip Oasis Glossy Treatment. The popular pick from Johansson’s skincare brand houses humectants and emollients — including squalane and lactic acid — to attract and bind in moisture.

© LA ROCHE-POSAY

Notice keratosis pilaris — a common condition that results in bumpy skin — on the back of arms more so during the chilly season? The La Roche-Posay Lipikar Urea 10% Roughness Smoothing Lotion is one example of a nutritive blend that works to remove dead cells while still protecting the skin. Two hero ingredients: allantoin and urea.

© CeraVe

Especially during the colder months,  chapped skin and  inflammatory conditions, like eczema, are prone to flare up. Reparative agents, such as petrolatum and hyaluronic acid, help soothe irritation and extreme dryness — and they’re both found in the CeraVe Healing Ointment.

Over-cleansing your hands (and unfortunately, sometimes with harsh soaps) may keep germs at bay, but may cause the skin to look and feel less than pleasant. Formulas with antioxidant-loaded butters will deliver intense hydration. (We love Drunk Elephant’s new Therabu Buttered Reparative Hand Cream.)

From ultra-hot showers to the cold wind, our legs — particularly knees and ankles — require extra moisture. Heavy hitters that feel butter will be your go-to fixes, especially ones with skin-softening hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Trust us: You can’t go wrong with Tula Skincare’s Take Care + Nourish Advanced Hydration Body Moisturizer.

Tired of that rugged feeling on your heels? Smooth out roughness with a generous amount of Dr Teal’s Shea Enriched Foot Cream, which is laced with shea butter, aloe vera and Epsom salt. Head to toe hydration, indeed.

Jason Derulo and Nora Fatehi Reveal When They Feel Sexiest

Jason Derulo and Nora Fatehi have combined forces for a brand new song that will make you want to hit the dance floor.

The “Ridin’ Solo” singer, 35, joined the international songstress, 32, on the single “Snake,” a dance anthem that combines East Asian, Indian and Western pop influences. Derulo exclusively told Us Weekly that the connection between the two singers was “pretty instant.”

“We had a rehearsal the day before the shoot, and that was our first time meeting each other,” Derulo says. “I really feel like on that first day, after a few minutes, we locked right in, and the chemistry was pretty instant.”

Fatehi echoes Derulo’s sentiments, explaining that the pair “matched each other’s energy” and “got each other’s sense of humor right away.” She also shared that she and Derulo bonded over the choreography in the music video, which was done by India’s Rajit Dev. In the video for “Snake,” Derulo can be seen showing off some new dance moves that he learned from Fatehi — including the song’s signature “snake dance.”

“Nora is really good at belly dancing,” Derulo shares. “She does these incredible moves with her body that resemble a snake, and she wanted me to learn the snake dance. When I first saw it, I was like, ‘There’s no way I’m doing it.’ But she convinced me, and you can see it in the music video. How’d I do?”

Fatehi adds, “He was so synchronized with me, and I was amazed. He’s an incredible dancer, but this is not an easy move.”

Inspired by Fatehi’s Bollywood songs and produced by Tommy Brown, “Snake” features a catchy hook that “makes it easy for people worldwide to sing along, regardless of language,” according to Fatehi. Directed by Abderrafia Elabdioui and filmed in Morocco, the video brings an element of sex appeal, which begs the question: when do Derulo and Fatehi feel their sexiest?

Jason Derulo Wants More Kids Because He’s Got ‘So Much To Offer’

“I feel the sexiest right after a workout, after I get in a good pump,” Derulo reveals.
“I feel like my body is at its best, and that’s when I feel sexiest and most confident.”

As for Fatehi, she channels her inner sexy when she’s performing.

“I feel the sexiest when I’m in my element on stage, in front of the camera, and when I’m moving my body with the music!” Fatehi shares. “There’s something about expressing yourself with music that is so liberating!”

“Snake” is available worldwide on all major streaming platforms.

Aaron Rodgers Says Ayahuasca Ceremonies Helped Him Prep for L.A. Wildfires

Aaron Rodgers has his rich history of spiritual healing to thank for preserving his mental state as wildfires continue to ravage southern California.

Rodgers, 41, owns a home in Malibu, an area that was greatly impacted by the fires that have caused devastation across the region and killed at least 27 people.

During a Wednesday, January 16 appearance on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers revealed his home had lost power, but was still standing.

“I’ve been dealing with trying to protect my house over here,” Rodgers told McAfee, 37. “My house is fine. I’m not in the areas that have been affected. But it’s been a weird time for so many people that live down here. Friends of mine have lost houses. A number of friends in the [Pacific] Palisades lost their homes.”

'The Office' Star Brian Baumgartner 'Proud' to Be Aaron Rodgers' Friend

Rodgers also said “a number of friends in Pasadena” and “friends near Runyon Canyon” had been impacted by the fires.

When asked if the tragedy had “changed the perspective” surrounding his NFL future, Rodgers couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Listen, I’ve sat in a hole in the ground in Nowheresville, Oregon, and I’ve sat in numerous ayahuasca ceremony circles, so I’ve done a lot of contemplating in my time and gotten some good perspective adjustments over the years,” Rodgers said. “This is nothing that changes my perspective, other than it’s heartbreaking.”

Ayahuasca is a psychedelic with roots in Indigenous cultures, made by boiling a mixture of plants and most often served in tea form. Rodgers has made a series of trips to Costa Rica over the years to participate in traditional ayahuasca ceremonies, which he detailed in his 2024 Netflix docuseries, Enigma

Rodgers is coming off a disappointing season as quarterback for the New York Jets, which saw the team finish 5-12 after entering the year with Super Bowl aspirations. Neither the Jets or Rodgers have indicated if they will reunite next season.

In the immediate future, Rodgers hopes the narrative surrounding the fires begins to shift to all of the communities impacted.

Aaron Rodgers' Most Controversial Moments Through the Years

“A lot of the attention has gone to so many celebrities who lost their houses,” Rodgers argued. “There’s some affluent areas in both the Palisades and some of those areas in Malibu that got affected. But there’s a lot of other people, just your average, great southern California folks who lost everything, as well.”

He added, “It’s gonna be tough to rebuild. Anybody who’s ever tried to build a freakin’ structure in southern California knows how ridiculous just trying to get a freakin’ permit to build anything is.”

Ultimately, Rodgers counted himself as one of the lucky ones, saying, “What I’ve had to go through is nothing.”

In November 2024, at the tail end of her third pregnancy, social media influencer and Divi owner Dani Austin left social media indefinitely.

Prior to her Instagram hiatus, Austin told her 2.3 million followers that she needed to take her “first ever” social media break — and she remained off the platform for two months.

On Monday, January 13, Austin returned to Instagram with a video showing her at 39 weeks pregnant, believing she was in labor.

At the start of the video, she joked about the hiatus, saying she would discuss where she’s been in due time.

The video continued, showing Austin jumping on her two oldest kids’ trampoline, doing a puzzle, asking her kids if they were hoping for a brother or a sister and taking shots of hot sauce.

Austin and her husband, Jordan Ramirez, had made the decision to wait until birth to learn the sex of their child.

A day later, Austin shared another video, this time on their way to the hospital.

In the video, she and Jordan joked about a fight they had the day before where Austin uninvited him into the delivery room. “She literally said I wasn’t invited to the labor room,” he said.

The third video came on Wednesday, January 15, showing Austin in her delivery room. By the end of the video, Austin was a mom of three.

A day later, they revealed they had welcomed an 8 pound, 1 ounce baby boy.

“We need to figure out baby names. Honestly, I only thought it was going to be a girl so I only have girl names,” Austin quipped in the video.

Alongside the first pictures of their son, she revealed the name they officially settled on, writing, “Meet Summit West Ramirez.”

“Mothering you is mothering me,” she continued. “Through mothering you, God is healing me in ways I never thought possible.”

Scott Eastwood gave an update on how his dad, Clint Eastwood, is faring after the death of his longtime girlfriend Christina Sandera.

“He’s good. He’s doing good,” Scott, 38, said in an interview with People published on Friday, January 17. “He’s a survivor, a trouper.”

Scott, who is the son of Clint, 94, and ex Jacelyn Reeves, acknowledged that he knows his dad is tough because he “was born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle.”

He added that his father’s perseverance is one of the biggest life lessons he has taught him over the years.

Clint Eastwood and Christina Sandera's Relationship Timeline

“It’s in our blood. You don’t complain,” he said. “You don’t whine. You just do.”

Scott shared that Clint has been an inspiration throughout his life, and that’s part of the reason why he decided to follow in his footsteps.

“He’s the reason I’m in this industry. It’s like anybody,” Scott told the outlet. “If your dad’s a carpenter, maybe you’d become a carpenter.”

It’s been six months since Clint confirmed that Sandera had died at age 61.

“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” he said in a July 2024 statement to The Hollywood Reporter at the time.

Later that month, it was revealed that Sandera’s cause of death was due to cardiac arrhythmia, which is also known as an irregular heartbeat, and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.

Clint and Sandera were together for more than a decade. Us Weekly confirmed that the couple met while she was working as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

Clint Eastwood’s Family Guide: Meet the Actor’s 8 Children

While the pair kept their romance low-key, Clint brought Sandera as his date to many functions over the years including movie premieres, award shows and more. The twosome made their red carpet debut at the 2015 Oscars where the director’s film American Sniper was nominated for six awards.

Before finding love with Sandera, Clint was married twice. He tied the knot with model Maggie Johnson in 1953. They share two children, son Kyle and daughter Allison. The exes divorced in 1984. Nearly 10 years later, Clint walked down the aisle for a second time with Dina Eastwood in 1996. The pair welcomed daughter Morgan later that year. Dina and Clint split in 2013 after 17 years of marriage and finalized their divorce the following year. (In 2016, Dina moved on with current husband Scott Fisher.)

Savannah Guthrie Recalls Replacing Ann Curry on 'Today' Amid Show Drama

Being promoted to coanchor of Today was a bittersweet achievement for Savannah Guthrie, who took over the role after Ann Curry exited the show.

“I came at a time of a lot of controversy for the show, and it wasn’t, I don’t think, a happy occasion, really — for anyone, including me,” Guthrie, 53, shared in an interview with Parade published on Friday, January 17. “I was as terrified as I could possibly be because the bosses at the time had made a decision, and I quite literally was the last to know, and I was so afraid, and I was pretty sure that I wouldn’t last.”

Guthrie first joined Today in 2011 as a chief legal correspondent and served as the anchor of the show’s 9 a.m. hour. That same year, Curry took over from Meredith Vieira as Matt Lauer’s Today coanchor. She departed the show just one year later amid rumors that NBC believed her and Lauer’s alleged lack of chemistry led to low ratings. (A source claimed to Us Weekly in July 2012 that Lauer, 67, also played a part in Curry’s exit.)

Guthrie was announced as Curry’s replacement in June 2012. At the time, Today.com reported that ratings were the main reason behind the hosting lineup change.

The Most Dramatic 'Today' Show Exits Over the Years: Hoda Kotb and More

While Guthrie was happy to take on the coveted gig, she told Parade that she was “in tears” when she was offered the job. “And it wasn’t because I didn’t dream of this job like everyone else does. It was because I was sure that it wouldn’t last and that I’d be thrown by the wayside within a few weeks or months.”

Now, Guthrie told the outlet she’s “so happy that survived and I’m still here.” Her current cohost, Craig Melvin, chimed in by stating she “thrived, not survived.”

At the time of her Today exit, Curry told viewers on air, “This is not as I expected to ever leave this couch after 15 years, but I am so grateful.” She tearfully added, “And for all of you who saw me as a groundbreaker, I’m sorry I couldn’t carry the ball over the finish line. But man, I did try.”

Curry later announced she was parting ways with NBC News in January 2015. “This is about reaching for the edge of the future in journalism, which we know is undergoing an irrevocable transition,” she said in a press release. “I am excited about working to become a valuable link between traditional media and what is to come.”

Savannah Guthrie's Ups and Downs Over the Years

Hoda Kotb went on to replace Lauer in 2018 after he was let go from the show following a sexual misconduct scandal. She bid farewell to Today after nearly 30 years working for NBC on January 10. Melvin assumed his role as Guthrie’s coanchor on Monday, January 13.

Curry opened up about her Today exit in a September 2020 interview with Elle, admitting she still didn’t “really understand” why she was let go. “I know I did nothing wrong. I know I was good at my job,” she stated. “They say where there’s smoke, there’s fire. You can read the tea leaves. But you know, I’m a fact-based reporter, so it’s hard for me to go out there, with something so close to the vest. I don’t know. I don’t know.”

Noting that the exit “still hurts,” she continued: “It honestly hurts really deeply, because I really think I did nothing wrong. But in spite of the pain of it, which still lingers, I know that I contributed to some people suffering less.”

Jordyn Wieber Explains Being Triggered by Water on 'Special Forces'

Jordyn Wieber’s decision to walk away from Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test may have appeared quick on TV — but there was actually a lot of thought that went into her choice to leave.

“It was so tough. It was such a hard decision,” Wieber, 29, exclusively told Us Weekly. “Standing there watching everybody do the challenge, I probably went back and forth like 50 times. Like, ‘OK, I’m going to do it. OK, I’m not going to do it. OK, I’m going to do it. OK, I’m not going to do it.’”

Wieber decided to voluntarily withdraw from the competition during the Wednesday, January 15, episode of Special Forces before attempting the submarine submersion task. Wieber explained to Us that she had a negative experience with the beehive task in the first episode, which led her to tread carefully with water moving forward.

“The water just really started freaking me out and I just felt like I was going to panic if I went back in the water,” she said. “Not to mention in a boat where you’re in a cage and all the other elements.”

The Olympian added that she “wanted to say longer,” explaining: “I knew that there were many other challenges that I could have handled and could have crushed it at and been tough enough to do, but the water just was really freaking me out. I was sad to leave, but I felt like it was just a little bit beyond my limit at that time.”

Before her experience on Special Forces, Wieber clarified that she did not have a negative experience with water.

“But at the same time, I’ve never had to do anything in the water beyond swimming with friends in a pool,” she noted. “I really haven’t had any experience in the water. I can swim and kind of do the basic things, but I’ve never been challenged to do that.”

Despite her hesitation about exiting, Wieber can ultimately look back and be confident in her decision.

Ali Fedotowsky Says ‘Special Forces’ Bathroom Smell Was ‘Horrendous’

“I think I made the right decision for me based on how much water was involved, but I really didn’t know what I was in for, nor could I have prepared for it,” she said. “We really didn’t know the challenges ahead of time.”

While Wieber may have had a short stint on the show, she made a lasting impact with her vulnerability. In the second episode, Wieber opened up to the ex-special forces operatives Directing Staff (DS) agents about being a victim of sexual abuse. (Wieber was one of the gymnasts who testified at Larry Nassar’s trial in 2018. Nassar was later convicted and sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison.)

For Wieber, who considers herself to be “a little bit more stoic and together emotionally,” did not anticipate the emotional component of Special Forces.

“I think the way that it breaks you down physically and mentally, you can’t help it. You just become more vulnerable emotionally, and so when you go into that interrogation room and they’re asking you about sensitive things, it makes sense,” she said, adding that it was “tough” to watch back. “You go into something like that, you think you’re going to be in control the whole time, but when you get that tired and that exhausted, you really can’t control the emotions that are coming out of you.”

Barack Obama Calls Wife Michelle 'The Love of My Life' in Birthday Tribute

Former President Barack Obama made sure his wife, Michelle Obama, was celebrated with great fanfare on her 61st birthday.

“Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama,” Barack, 63, wrote via X on Friday, January 17. “You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace — and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!”

Barack also uploaded an image of the couple holding hands from across the table while at a private dinner.

Michelle, for her part, reposted her spouse’s note, captioning it, “Love you, honey!”

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama: A Timeline of Their Relationship

Barack and Michelle have been married since 1992 after meeting a decade earlier during their early legal careers in Chicago. They went on to welcome daughters Malia and Sasha in 1998 and 2001, respectively. (Sasha completed the family seven years before Barack was elected president of the United States for his first of two consecutive terms.)

Throughout Barack’s political career, fans have frequently praised his seemingly perfect marriage.

“I don’t want people looking at me and Barack like hashtag couple goals and not know that no, no, there are some broken things that happen even in the best of marriages,” Michelle said during an episode of the “On Purpose With Jay Shetty” podcast in January 2024. “After 31 years, yeah, we still do [cross the line], but you know it quicker. And then you apologize. You learn how to say my bad, right? That takes a second, right?”

She added, “I talk about marriage because I just think that No. 1, most people don’t talk about it. What happens is that by not knowing, you hit, in your relationship, some natural, like, understandable rough patches, and you want to quit. And it’s like, ‘Oh, no, no, no, no, no. That’s not quit-worthy. That’s just the nature of things.’ That’s why I joked, it’s like, ‘Oh, you’re mad at your partner, you’re mad for a year and you think the marriage is over.’”

Michelle Obama Says She and Barack Obama Aren't Always ‘Couple Goals’

For Michelle, she and Barack have been able to “learn from” the hardships instead of giving up.

“Of course, it’s going to be hard, you know, but I wouldn’t trade in my marriage for anything in the world with all the ups and downs, with all the running for president stuff,” Michelle added at the time. “And if we hadn’t hung in there, we would have missed all the good.”

The Obamas are now empty nesters as both Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23, have each graduated from college and moved out of the family home. The sisters are still roommates, frequently inviting their parents over for drinks.

“We were going to take them to dinner, and they said, ‘Why don’t you come over to our spot for cocktails?’” Michelle recalled on the Today show in 2022. “We were like, ‘OK, let’s see what this is going to be like.’ Well, [first], the martinis were a little weak. I don’t think they really knew what it was.”

Justin Baldoni Shares Pics From the Basement of 'It Ends With Us' Premiere

Justin Baldoni made several claims about the It Ends With Us premiere and afterparties in his $400 million lawsuit against costar Blake Lively.

Baldoni, 40, filed his lawsuit against Lively, 37, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and their team of publicists on Thursday, January 16, seeking $400 million in damages. In the court filing obtained by Us, Baldoni included a photo from the It Ends With Us premiere where he and his family (including wife Emily and his parents) posed in the basement of the theater surrounded by containers of popcorn and bottles of soda.

Baldoni claimed in the court documents that he and his camp were initially uninvited from the occasion at Lively’s request, only receiving the green light to attend at the last minute. In the docs, Baldoni alleged that his team were “confined to a makeshift holding area surrounded by concession stand stock, with only fold-out tables and chairs arranged in a square” to minimize interactions with Lively and her guests.

“Surrounded by close friends, family, soda bottles, and a lot of love, the irony of being held in a basement on what was arguably one of the most important nights of Baldoni’s career thus far, was not lost on anyone,” the suit reads.

Blake Lively Allegedly Tried to Ban Justin Baldoni From Movie Premiere

He also had a separate afterparty with his team, claiming that it was “dry” since the majority of domestic violence incidents involve alcohol. He also claimed that Lively’s gathering, which his production company allegedly paid for, was not and offered a drink titled “Ryle Can Wait.”

“Lively’s disastrous marketing efforts and tone-deaf press interviews and appearances backfired and led to widespread criticism of Lively’s promotional approach to the Film’s highly sensitive focus on domestic violence,” the docs read. “Past videos of Lively resurfaced online — videos that appeared to solidify public perception that Lively was an insensitive ‘mean girl’ who cared more about peddling her products than acknowledging the domestic violence survivor community. Social media commenters quickly pointed out that her tie-in of her alcohol beverages was in particularly poor taste, given the World Health Organization estimates that 55 percent of domestic violence incidents are linked to alcohol. Unbelievably, Lively made this harmful and irresponsible message worse by naming a drink at her premiere afterparty ‘Ryle You Wait.’”

Lively, for her part, denied Baldoni’s recent legal claims.

““This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook. This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim,” Lively’s lawyers told Us in a statement. “This is what experts call DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender. Wayfarer has opted to use the resources of its billionaire co-founder to issue media statements, launch meritless lawsuits, and threaten litigation to overwhelm the public’s ability to understand that what they are doing is retaliation against sexual harassment allegations.”

Lively’s attorneys further alleged that Baldoni’s team was “trying to shift the narrative” by falsely claiming she took over production and alienated him from the rest of the It Ends With Us cast.

“The evidence will show that the cast and others had their own negative experiences with Mr. Baldoni and Wayfarer,” Lively’s statement continued. “The evidence will also show that Sony asked Ms. Lively to oversee Sony’s cut of the film, which they then selected for distribution and was a resounding success. Their response to sexual harassment allegations: she wanted it, it’s her fault. Their justification for why this happened to her: look what she was wearing.  In short, while the victim focuses on the abuse, the abuser focuses on the victim. The strategy of attacking the woman is desperate, it does not refute the evidence in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and it will fail.”

Baldoni’s team has not responded to Lively’s response. Us has reached out for comment.

Earlier this month, leaked audio footage also discussed Baldoni’s reported separate afterparty.

Justin Baldoni Claims Blake Lively 'Kicked' Him Out of 'It Ends With Us'

While appearing on the January 7 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, his lawyer Bryan Freedman played part of an alleged voice message Baldoni sent to his team recalling the events that transpired at the New York City premiere in August 2024.

“On what could have been one of the most beautiful nights of my life career-wise, I literally was sent to the basement with all my friends and family for over an hour because I wasn’t allowed to be seen. She didn’t want me anywhere near her or the rest of the cast,” Baldoni said in the alleged voice message.

He continued, “So they ushered me off the carpet and sent us down to the basement. We were down there together, my friends and family, the people that love me the most. We start laughing because of the ridiculousness of this whole thing and I realize, like, on a night that was supposed to be so materialistically joyful, I was in the basement with the people that I love the most and we were all joyful and laughing cause none of that s— matters, none of it.”

Baldoni, who also directed the film, noted that they’re not in the movie business “to attend a premiere like that and be celebrated.”

“We’re in this business because we’re artists and we believe in what we do and because we want to create art that touches people’s hearts and souls and can move people,” he said. “And that’s what we did, that’s what you both did. I believe that will follow each of us and the truth will prevail and light and love will win.”

Rumors began swirling of a rift on set when eagle-eyed fans noticed that Baldoni was absent for joint press interviews for the film and did not pose for group photos with cast members at the premiere.

Months after the speculation, The New York Times reported that Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment in a lawsuit, which was obtained by Us. (Freedman called Lively’s accusations “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious” in a statement to Us.)

The alleged audio mirrored what Baldoni and other plaintiffs claimed in their December 2024 lawsuit, where they sued The New York Times for its coverage of Lively’s accusations. (A spokesperson for The New York Times told Us that the outlet is planning to “vigorously defend against the lawsuit.”)

“The Wayfarer team and their families, including Baldoni and [producer Jamey] Heath, were segregated from the main cast, barred from the exclusive after-party, and forced to organize their own event at additional cost,” the filing reads. “Baldoni’s participation on the red carpet was cut short, and his family and friends were confined to a makeshift holding area in the basement before being escorted into a separate theater after Lively’s departure.”

The lawsuit continues, “Not only had Lively stolen the Film, but she also robbed Baldoni and his team of any genuine opportunity to celebrate their hard work.”

Ben Higgins and Ashley I. React to Matt James’ ‘Weird’ Breakup Post

Even Bachelor Nation’s Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti were caught off guard by Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell’s breakup.

“I do want to acknowledge that this is a very tough time for them, and also respect the fact that they broke up and that we’re not really owed too much information,” Higgins, 35, shared on the Thursday, January 16, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Almost Famous” podcast. “However, [there are] some weird things that stood out to me that I think are standing out to most people.”

For starters, Higgins expressed his perspective that James, 33, and Kirkconnell, 28, have separated themselves from The Bachelor after meeting on season 25.

“Matt especially was like, ‘I’m done, I’m moved on. This thing is what it was. We met together and the show is going to have no association with my life,’” Higgins explained. “And that is a very fine strategy. However, the breakup post is a picture of them at the Bachelor mansion, which is odd to me.”

Rachael Kirkconnell's Rare Quotes About Her Time on 'The Bachelor'

While Iaconneti, 36, thought the picture — captured during the show’s infamous limo arrivals — could be symbolic of the moment they first met, Higgins questioned the choice.

“Personally, it feels like an interesting choice for this picture to announce a breakup when they have honestly done so much since then,” he said. “They have been posting or he has been posting on social media that seems like nothing is going on.”

On January 17, James shared news of his breakup with Kirkconnell after four years of dating. Earlier in the month, however, the pair were posting snaps from London on what appeared to be a fun, romantic getaway.

“Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts,” he wrote via Instagram. “Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord.”

When first seeing the post, Iaconneti was hopeful that it wasn’t real.

“They have been together for four years,” she said. “That is a long time to date without a proposal. My initial thought was, ‘Oh man. I want this to be some prank.’ … As much as I would love to believe that, because I really, really was rooting for them, they went through so much together, I can’t imagine that he would use a prayer as a prank.”

Rachael Kirkconnell Joked About Matt James Proposal Weeks Before Their Split

While Kirkconnell has not publicly commented on the split, she “liked” a comment from a fan who speculated that “he completely blindsided her with this.” A source, however, told Us Weekly that Kirkconnell wasn’t blindsided by the split itself but rather James’ statement and post.

Higgins shared his theory as to why Kirkconnell may be waiting to share more via social media.

“From my experience, I would typically say the person most hurt and most confused is the one that is hesitant to share with the public,” he said. “If you’re confident in this decision, you’re sharing with the public. If you’re still in a place of mourning, healing, being a little angry, you’re not sharing this with the public.”

The Game Postpones Album Release to Help L.A. Firefighters

When the Palisades and Eaton fires broke out in Los Angeles on January 7, The Game knew he had to do something to help his hometown.

The rapper, 45, who was born and raised in Compton, California, exclusively tells Us Weekly that he felt “compelled” to assist fire personnel as they battled the L.A. wildfires, which have claimed at least 27 lives and destroyed or damaged over 12,300 structures, according to NBC News. In order to do so, he decided to push the release of his upcoming album, The Documentary 3, from January 18 to February.

“I just couldn’t put out an album. Even in this interview talking about the album with you, it feels selfish, right?” The Game says.

The Game was at home with his family in the San Fernando Valley when the wildfires began in the Pacific Palisades. The family was forced to evacuate and stay with a friend in the city, where they saw the destruction on the local news.

“I sat back for a few hours and then I thought to myself, ‘I do have to do something and I don’t know what to do.’ So I just hit the streets,” The Game says. “I went to the Pacific Palisades fire. There were a bunch of cars in the streets, abandoned, and we couldn’t really get in there. I talked to some firemen and asked them what they needed. I got them some coffee; I knew it was going to be a long night. And then, from there, I was like, ‘I got to do it bigger.’”

The Weeknd Postpones Album Release, Rose Bowl Concert Amid L.A. Wildfires

The Game then made it his mission to assist firefighters and displaced residents throughout the city. He and his friends brought tents, blankets, food, water and other essential items to firefighters battling the Eaton Fire. They woke up at 4 a.m. and stayed overnight to help firefighters in Altadena, a historically Black neighborhood in Los Angeles that has been heavily impacted.

“We saw the night shift come back in the morning. They were covered in soot and ashes and you could barely see their uniforms,” The Game explains. “Being there and seeing it, I felt so compelled to just stay out there every day. It wasn’t anything that we planned. We just were going around helping where we could. I started to get addicted to the feeling of relieving some of the stress of these firefighters.”

The pull to help was so strong, in fact, that The Game has postponed the release of his new album so he could focus on fire relief and helping the city of Los Angeles.

Beyonce Postpones Announcement Amid L.A. Fires

“I’m putting a 100 percent of who I am to bringing Los Angeles, and California, and cities inside California, back to a calm before I do any type of promotion or anything,” he says. “Just seeing the smiles on people’s faces and the relief from getting some help is all that I really need, at the end of the day.”

The Game hopes that the wildfires, which are still raging in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena, will soon be fully contained. Until then, he plans on helping in whatever way he can.

“I have a new respect and love for firefighters,” he says. “I want people to pay attention to the people that literally lost everything when their homes burned down. People in the Altadena area, all these historically Black-owned businesses and homes that have been there for a 100-plus years. Let’s spread the love and distribute equally; and make sure that as a city, as a state, as a nation, that we give everybody the support, and the love, and the same rebuild.”

Music’s biggest names are joining forces for a pair of FireAid benefit concerts to support those displaced by the recent and ongoing wildfires.

Katy Perry, John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Gwen Stefani were among the A-Listers tapped to perform at the two upcoming shows, according to a press release. Other included artists will be Dave Matthews, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Tate McRae, Rod Stewart, Sting and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The concerts will even be the first time that Mayer, 47, and Matthews, 58, have ever performed together.

The benefit shows will be held at California’s own Intuit Dome and Kia Forum venues on Thursday, January 30. The show will also be broadcast by select AMC Theaters and online via Apple Music, Max, Netflix, YouTube and more streaming platforms.

The Weeknd and More Stars Who’ve Donated to L.A. Wildfires Relief

The one-night-only event will raise funds to help rebuild communities that were devastated in the natural disaster and help prevent similar incidents in the future.

“Contributions made to FireAid will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation, for short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters,” a press release reads. “The Annenberg Foundation, with decades of philanthropic leadership in our community, including rapid response, will help coordinate a team to direct funds for the greatest impact. All proceeds from the FireAid benefit concert at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum will go directly to the event’s designated beneficiaries, as the LA Clippers will be covering the millions in expenses associated with the event.”

A string of wildfires broke out in Los Angeles earlier this month, rapidly ravaging thousands of acres of property and killing over 25 individuals. In addition, thousands of celebrities left the city limits under mandatory or voluntary evacuation orders.

Celebs Share How to Help Those Affected by LA Wildfires: Guide to Resources

“This is the most valuable thing I own. It’s a folder of photos of my father, spanning his life from being a baby, an educator, a husband and a father. It’s the only evidence of his life that will exist over time,” Mayer wrote via Instagram on January 9. “These are the ‘documents’ you read about people taking from their homes. When you hear someone say they’ve lost everything in a fire, this is much of that everything, if not all of it. Those who say they’ll be OK still have their folders and their albums. Those who are inconsolable have lost them. Just behind the immeasurable loss of life is the loss of the proof of life.”

He added, “I don’t practice prayer but tonight I will say one for everyone who no longer has these items. It’s not about the art and the collectibles. It’s the photos, the letters, the class rings, the eyeglasses and the things we keep to remind us that those we loved were here. May those who have lost so much find some semblance of hope and support from their family and friends. Stay safe, look out for yourself and for one another, and trust that humanity and all it entails, though sometimes hard to see, is alive and well. This is truly devastating.”

In regards to the benefit concert, Mayer wrote in an Instagram note that it was “an honor” to be included in the performance lineup.

“It’s an honor to be in a position to help a cause as important as rebuilding lives and communities that were devastated by wildfires,” he wrote on Thursday.

The FireAid Benefit Concert kicks off Thursday, January 30, at 6 p.m. PT and will air concurrently on multiple streaming platforms. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, January 22, at 12 p.m. ET via Ticketmaster.

Shoppers Say This Dual-Action Dry Shampoo Foam Gives 'Great Volume'

The best dry shampoo formula eliminates the need to wash your hair every time it needs a quick refresh. Whether you need to revive your hair after the gym, or you’re trying to get out of the door in a hurry, dry shampoo can make your strands look like they were freshly washed and blown out.

We just discovered a genius hair product that harnesses the cleansing power of dry shampoo but with the volumizing powers of styling foam. It’s Surge Dry Shampoo and Instant Lift Foam from Navy Haircare.

This dual-action dry shampoo refreshes hair from root to tip. Like a regular dry shampoo, this foam soaks up excess oil. But it’s the extra boost of body and volume that’s impressive. I don’t know about you, but my ordinary dry shampoo doesn’t add volume quite like this foam!

Made with rice starch, lactic acid and honeysuckle flower extract, these ingredients help strengthen strands, improve hair health and moisturize the scalp to eliminate brittle, dry-looking hair. Better yet, it’s crafted for all hair styles, even those with thicker and coarse textures.

And considering it’s winter, washing your hair every. single. day. isn’t ideal (unless you’re working up a serious sweat during workouts). Finding a dual-action dry shampoo like Surge is the best way to keep strands looking moisturized but never greasy. Better yet, it makes day three hair go from drab to fab in seconds!
Shoppers can’t stop talking about the instant results they achieve thanks to the dry shampoo foam.
“Great volume!” one shopper raves. “My hair is long and fine, but I have a lot of it. Getting volume is always very hard. This was a great fix. I typically can’t go long between washes because my hair gets oily. This helped me get three days out of a wash, which is a bonus. The volume was great as well. It only needs a quick shot from the blow dryer and a round brush, and boom, instant lift.”

Toss your current dry shampoo and replace it with Navy Haircare’s dual-action formula. We can’t get over the before and after photos!

Kate Middleton, King Charles' Dramatic Health Announcements, 1 Year Later

Kate Middleton and King Charles. Karwai Tang/WireImage

January 17, 2025 marks exactly one year since Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace announced King Charles and his daughter-in-law Princess Kate Middleton’s respective hospitalizations.

At the time, details about their respective conditions were extremely limited. It was later revealed that both Charles, 76, and Middleton, 43, had received treatment for respective cancer diagnoses.

Kensington Palace announced on January 17, 2024 that the Princess of Wales had undergone “planned abdominal surgery” the day prior. It came a week after the royal’s 42nd birthday on January 9.

“Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to hospital yesterday for planned abdominal surgery,” the statement said.

King Charles III Says He's 'So Proud' of Kate Middleton for Her Courage

“The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,” it added.

Later that same day, Buckingham Palace said the then 75-year-old king would receive treatment for an enlarged prostate.

“His Majesty’s condition is benign, and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure,” the statement said.

On February 5, Buckingham Palace announced that “a form of cancer” had been found during Charles’ corrective procedure in January 2024.

Though the palace has never disclosed what type of cancer the King had, Charles was vocal about how he was feeling as he continued to attend royal engagements in the months following his diagnosis.

During a meeting with former U.K Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on February 21, Charles said reading messages of support from the public had “reduced me to tears.”

Meanwhile, Middleton’s absence from royal duties led to feverish global speculation on her whereabouts, with some social media users sharing false conspiracy theories.

“Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” a spokesperson for the Princess of Wales told Us Weekly in a statement on February 29. “That guidance stands.”

Finally, on March 22, Middleton released a video in which she confirmed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was noncancerous. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” she said in the video.

Middleton said it had been “an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family” and added that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.

In the months following the video, Middleton’s public appearances were scarce, though she did appear at Wimbledon with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, in July.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle React to Kate Middleton's Cancer Diagnosis

In September, the royal shared another video message where she said she had completed chemotherapy treatment.

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said.

During this period, Prince William, 42, appeared at various public engagements solo. During an appearance in Cape Town, South Africa, in September, the Prince of Wales said it had been “the hardest year in my life.”

William, of course, is the eldest son of Charles and the late Princess Diana and heir to the British throne. He has been married to Middleton since April 2011.

The princess shared more positive news earlier this month, when she announced she was in remission while visiting the hospital where she underwent treatment on January 14.

Meanwhile, Charles is scheduled to undertake a variety of public engagements in his native UK and around the world this year. Details of his cancer treatment are not known.

When asked about his well-being at a royal engagement in December, the king joked that he was “still alive,” as shown in video footage shared by the Daily Mail at the time.

Cameron Diaz's 'Back in Action' Is Here — But What's Her Most Iconic Role?

Cameron Diaz hooked fans in with her debut role in 1994’s The Mask — and for 20 years she was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

The actress surprised moviegoers in 2018 when she announced her retirement from the industry, having last starred in 2014’s Annie. During her break, Diaz wed Benji Madden in 2015 and the couple have gone on to welcome daughter Raddix and son Cardinal via surrogate.

“When you do something at a really high level for a long period of time, when you’re the person that’s sort of delivering on this one thing, everything around, all parts of you that isn’t that, has to sort of be handed off to other people,” Diaz said during an August 2021 appearance on Hart to Heart.

In May 2022, Diaz announced that she was ready to make her movie comeback in Netflix’s Back In Action alongside friend Jamie Foxx. The January 2025 release is not the only iconic movie in Diaz’s catalog.

Jim Carrey might’ve been the lead character in this bizarre comedy about a masked superhero, but Diaz’s Tina Carlyle will forever be one of our movie style stars. Diaz was only 21 when she played Stanley Ipkiss’ love interest and her sex appeal was on a whole different level. Whether it was her strapless red dress or the Beetlejuice-style frock she wore on a date, we loved them all.

Being Julia Roberts’ movie rival would’ve been tough for any actress, but Diaz handled it with ease. Sure, Diaz’s character, Kimberly “Kimmy” Wallace, was spoiled and not exactly the brightest, but she was so lovable that even Roberts’ Julianne Potter eventually rooted for her to marry Michael O’Neal (Dermot Mulroney) — who Julianne was madly in love with the whole time. If you haven’t seen this movie, prepare to join in when everyone sings “Say a Little Prayer” at a packed restaurant, because it’s both joyful and hilarious.

If Diaz wasn’t an A-lister before, her role as Ted’s (Ben Stiller) dream girl from high school, Mary, cemented her super star status. Mary is the girl next door, who is so far out of Ted’s league, it actually hurts to watch him try and fail to woo her as an adult. However, the most iconic part in the 1998 flick is when Mary uses “hair gel” she found at Ted’s place to stick her hair straight up and still look flawless — IYKYK.

Just when we couldn’t love Diaz anymore, she teamed up with Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu in 2000s Charlie’s Angels to play spies Natalie, Dylan and Alex, respectively. The girl power vibes throughout this film — and its 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle — continue to make Us smile decades later. In addition to being a total badass on screen, Diaz wins the movie when she answers the door wearing Spider-man underwear after an epic solo dance scene.

Yes, Diaz’s voice work as Princess Fiona will go down in history as one of her greatest ideas ever. Princess Fiona is sassy, self-sufficient and full of funny one-liners that are almost as hilarious as her eventual ogre husband Shrek’s (Mike Myers) quips throughout the animated film. Luckily for Us, Diaz has reprised her role in three more Shrek movies, with a fifth installment in the works.

Diaz, Christina Applegate and Selma Blair all in one movie? Sign Us up! After avoiding men for years, Christina (Diaz) meets her perfect match in Peter (Thomas Jane) while at a bar. When she misses her opportunity to date him, Christina grabs her girlfriends and hits the road for an epic journey to find love. Along the way, there is dancing (really, really good dancing), lots of laughs and wild encounters — all of which make this movie a classic.

This 2005 film pulls at your heartstrings in a way you’d never expect. When party girl Maggie (Diaz) hooks up with her sister Rose’s (Toni Collette) boyfriend, she seeks out their grandmother, who was never part of their lives. In a twist of fate, staying at her grandmother’s (Shirley MacLaine) retirement home turns out to be the best medicine for Maggie — and brings the sisters back together. Diaz is a perfect fit as the rowdy sister who doesn’t have her life figured out, but her emotional performance is what has Us rewatching this year after year.

This might be Diaz’s best movie of all time, don’t at Us! Not only do viewers get to travel from Los Angeles to London to follow the lives of British journalist Iris (Kate Winslet) and movie trailer producer Amanda (Diaz), but we get two romances worth swooning over. Iris falls for L.A. local Miles (Jack Black), while Amanda finds herself smitten with Iris’ brother, Graham (Jude Law), while staying in her cute English cottage. Amanda is a mess, but a boss babe who we can’t help but love. We have to admit, when she finally cries, we cry … every, single, time.

We totally agree that Diaz’s Elizabeth Halsey was incompetent as a middle school teacher in this 2011 film, but she played it perfectly. The actress was wild, hilarious and very self-involved, all of which made Us laugh out loud. The best scene? When Elizabeth channels her inner Daisy Duke while rolling on cars during a student car wash all while trying to make money for breast implants. It’s too good.

Being the “other woman” is something no lady wants, but if it means you get to be BFFs with Diaz’s character, Carly Whitten, then it’s not so bad. After realizing she is dating a married man, Carly befriends his wife, Kate King (Leslie Mann), and they begin to work together to take him down. Things get even crazier when they learn they aren’t the only women in Mark King’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) life. Think Thelma & Louise but in NYC with a side of adultery.

Diaz surprised fans with her role as Hannigan in the 2014 movie, which follows foster kid Annie (Quvenzhané Wallis) after a mayoral candidate (Foxx) takes her in to better help his campaign. Diaz, for her part, played the mean foster mom perfectly and yet, in the end, we didn’t hate her. Oh, and did we mention she sings?

Diaz proves she’s still got it in Netflix’s Back in Action which premiered in January 2025 — more than a decade after she starred in Annie. In the film, Diaz and Foxx play married suburban couple Emily and Matt who are former CIA spies. When their cover is blown, they are pulled back into a world of espionage and must protect their kids, who — spoiler alert — don’t think they are cool enough to be this badass. Diaz’s role reminds Us of her Charlie’s Angels days paired with Mission Impossible stunts and one-liners we’re sure to quote time and time again.
