Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s dynamic has included both friendly banter and some not-so-serious shade.

Lively and Kendrick briefly met before they first starred in A Simple Favor together which premiered in 2018. It wasn’t until their interactions during the 2018 promo sparked rumors of a possible feud, raising some proverbial eyebrows. Neither Kendrick nor Lively have publicly addressed any of the speculation.

Six years after A Simple Favor premiered, the duo reunited for the sequel Another Simple Favor. Ahead of the movie’s release, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that there was – and is – no bad blood between Kendrick and Lively.

“There aren’t any issues between Blake and Anna right now,” the insider explained in February 2025, noting that both actresses “really love” the sequel and planned to “be doing press together.”

However, Kendrick raised eyebrows for a second time after she dodged questions about working with Lively again while the pair attended the SXSW premiere for the movie. Despite Kendrick’s behavior, director Paul Feig shut down online discourse that the women were not on good terms.

“I just reported on Blake being terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again,” a social media user claimed in March 2025, to which Feig replied, “Um … you’re wrong.”

In a joint May 2018 interview with MTV, Kendrick poked fun at Lively, teasing she wasn’t as kind as she initially believed.

“I worked with her husband Ryan [Reynolds] several years ago, so I met Blake a few times through Ryan on that film,” Kendrick said. “And I thought she seemed nice. And little did I know!”

Kendrick joked that after working together she wanted to keep her and Lively’s fauxmance alive and well.

“You know what it is? Ryan’s an attractive, famous, successful man and you need to keep them on their toes. He’s got a great lady and I just need to let him know that Blake’s got options, you know what I’m saying!” she teased to ET. “I’ll just be sneaky. I’ll just slide into her DMs.”

Lively revealed that she and Kendrick met when they were in their late teens and was “nervous” to get to know her.

“We met through friends, and it was right after the premiere of Rocket Science,” she recalled in a September 2018 Buzzfeed interview. “You were just so good and I was just like, ‘Oh you’re so funny and charming.’ I was like, ‘Wow, this girl’s really cool.”

Working Together

Kendrick shared to Buzzfeed in September 2018 that she and Lively had a “partner-in-crime vibe.”

“Sometimes you work with somebody, and they’re great — they’re really, genuinely great — and they just have a very different working style, let’s say,” she reflected. “You know, they’re the kind of person that you can’t come to them in between and be like, ‘Yo, let me tell you what just happened.’ So that was great.”

Joking About Feud

Lively confessed that she had a challenging day on set of A Simple Favor that ended with her coming in late.

“I’m still scarred by this … when I worked late the night before, and so they told me to come in an hour and a half later the next morning, but didn’t make you come in later,” she said to Buzzfeed in September 2018. “I came to set and I was in hair and makeup, and I was like, ‘Oh, so weird, is Anna — where is she?’ and they were like, ‘Oh, she’s been ready for an hour. We didn’t push her call.’”

Kendrick quipped “that was the day” she decided to “hate” Lively.

“It was so mortifying. You’re working in every scene in this movie, and I come in for a few weeks like, ‘Just wait for me for an hour and a half while I get my hair braided!’” she explained. “I literally wanted to die and I sucked so bad in that scene because I never recovered.”

SXSW Remarks

During the March 2025 SXSW premiere for Another Simple Favor, Kendrick was asked about what it was like to work with Lively again. Kendrick quipped “oh you know” before running off to take selfies with fans.

Lively, for her part, was asked the same question about working with Kendrick and had a different response.

“Oh, it’s the best!” she gushed on the red carpet. “I’m so happy to be here.”

Later that evening, Kendrick chatted with Variety and was asked about her thoughts on Another Simple Favor being “impacted” by what’s “going on in the world,” a possible reference to Lively’s legal battle against her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni. Kendrick played coy in her response.

“Why? What happened? I did ayahuasca and the last year of my life has been gone,” she deadpanned before hyping up Another Simple Favor. “But I hear the movie is amazing.”

When Lively, 37, walked the red carpet at the SXSW premiere in Austin on Friday, March 7, she looked every inch as glamorous as her on-screen character, Emily Nelson. Lively leaned into method dressing in a bejeweled tailored set that looked as if it could have easily been lifted from Emily’s closet: a Yara Shoemaker Fall 2023 Couture set featuring a peach coat and matching trousers dripping in crystals, pearls and paillettes. For a playful, meta twist, she carried a Judith Leiber martini-shaped bag ($5,795), a novelty accessory that was a clear nod to her gin-swilling PR director character’s go-to beverage.

The clutch version of the movie’s iconic mixed drink was covered in crystals of all shapes and sizes, topped with a zesty yellow lemon slice, just the way Emily prefers her signature martini.

Does perfect, polished Emily really think that a perfect martini is just straight gin in a frozen glass with a spritz? Perhaps. Or maybe it’s just another way she’s playing at having taste. One thing is for certain: it’s the perfect icebreaker to exchange confessions with Stephanie.

DeAnna Pappas detailed her coparenting dynamic with ex-husband Stephen Stagliano — and her hopes for their kids’ future — in her recent restraining order filing.

Pappas, 43, claimed in her Friday, March 7, filing that Stagliano’s alleged “past mental health issues do not mean that I do not think he is a good father.”

The former Bachelorette noted in the court documents obtained by Us Weekly that their children “love him deeply” despite his alleged faults. (Pappas and Stagliano share daughter Addison, 11, and son Austin, 9.)

Pappas noted that she believes the ex-spouses “need to take a realistic look at what is going on and do whatever we have to do to help” their children process their divorce and recent issues.

“Instead of looking for things and other people to blame, I want [him] to work with me to come up with solutions,” the docs state.

News broke on Monday, March 10, that Pappas was previously arrested after an alleged altercation with Stagliano, 41, in which he claimed she was drunk. (In Touch reported in June 2024 that when the exes finalized their divorce, Pappas and Stagliano agreed not to consume alcohol around their children.)

At the time, Stagliano accused his ex-wife of being allegedly intoxicated when Stagliano’s mother picked up their son earlier that morning for school.

When Stagliano came to Pappas home that evening to get their daughter, he allegedly forced himself inside her garage and “refused to leave.” Pappas claimed that Stagliano “forcefully shoved” her and then he called the police.

According to court docs obtained by Us, Pappas was arrested on a misdemeanor charge on February 27 after Stagliano pressed charges for domestic violence. Pappas was released the same day on bond and proceeded to file a restraining order on her ex-husband the following week.

Pappas denied being an alcoholic and claimed that their daughter’s video from that night would prove exactly what transpired and who was the aggressor. She also alleged she tested negative for drugs and alcohol in a voluntary test.

The former reality star outlined her side of the incident in her restraining order and detailed her and Stagliano’s “difficult” coparenting relationship. Pappas asked a judge order Stagliano to stay 100 yards away from her — and a hearing was set for later this month.

“I would describe our coparenting as ‘parallel parenting,’ in that I handle the children when I have them, and Respondent does the same,” Pappas explained in the filing. “That of course is with the exception of extreme situations, wherein both the Respondent and I will reach out to each other to let each other know what is going on with the children.”

She noted that the former couple also interact when their children allegedly “share with me that they are concerned or uncomfortable with the Respondent’s live-in girlfriend.” Pappas said in that scenario, she contacts Stagliano “to relay that information so that he can address that with the children how he sees fit.”

Pappas also claimed that she is “very willing” to help Stagliano and “be flexible” on the “few occasions” they need to switch custodial times. “The Respondent is also accommodating when I need to switch custodial time due to my unique work schedule,” she added.

Pappas acknowledged that her coparenting relationship with Stagliano “certainly needs help” but argued, “I do believe I have made significant effort for the sake of our children.”

The TV personality met Stephen through his brother, Michael Stagliano, who was on season 5 of The Bachelorette. (Pappas, for her part, was the lead on season 4 of the dating franchise.)

The pair tied the knot in October 2011. After more than 10 years of marriage, Pappas and Stephen announced in January 2023 that they had called it quits. The exes finalized their divorce in June 2024, agreeing to joint custody of their kids.

In addition to agreeing not to be “intoxicated” while the children were in their respective custody, Pappas and Stephen agreed not to consume narcotics within 12 hours before or during their stays with the kids, according to docs obtained by In Touch in summer 2024.

Pappas and Stephen’s deal awarded Stephen $1,000 a month in child support and an additional $1,500 in spousal support.

On Sunday, March 9, Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge appeared to suggest she’s done with the show — and she’s not the only cast member who has unexpectedly quit mid-season.

“It was a long run! When life gives you real problems this reality s— doesn’t make sense. Peace out … I’m out,” Judge, 57, shared via an Instagram Story on Sunday. Judge has been part of the RHOC cast since season 3. She left the show for a bit in season 14 but returned full-time for season 17 in 2023.

Though the final RHOC cast has not yet been confirmed by Bravo, Judge had been spotted filming in New Orleans alongside Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Katie Ginella, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti and Emily Simpson.

Zolciak-Biermann and the gang were invited to Anguilla for Cynthia Bailey’s wedding, but drama erupted after Zolciak-Biermann said she couldn’t go (most airlines do not allow pregnant women to fly once they’ve passed 36 weeks gestation).

Her departure also happened to line up with the announcement for her new series, Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding. Though Zolciak-Biermann insisted she left to pursue other opportunities, castmate NeNe Leakes tweeted in 2012 that she was fired. “It’s so funny how this chick wants people 2 think she quit the show! The producers no longer wanted 2 work wit u! Good bye wit the lies,” Leakes wrote.

Zolciak-Biermann denied she was fired, and later reappeared on the series until April 2018 when left for a second time and vowed to never return.

Tanya Sam

Tanya Sam was never a full-time cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she was regularly featured and her sudden exit was packed with drama. Sam was on hand to help celebrate Bailey’s bachelorette, where apparently… stripper-related shenanigans went down.

TMZ reported at the time, “[Tanya] who’s not an official Housewife but a “friend” of the show – has officially bailed on filming the rest of the current season.” The outlet added that Sam’s departure “revolves around Cynthia Bailey’s bachelorette party and what Tanya and Porsha Williams did with a male stripper while cameras were rolling … and what they may or may not have done when cameras shut down.”

Adrienne Maloof was an original cast member of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but abruptly left the show in season 3 after a secret was shared about her family. Cast member Brandi Glanville, who had repeatedly sparred with Maloof throughout the third season, told the rest of the show’s cast that Maloof hired a surrogate to carry her twins — something Maloof had not yet told her then 6-year-old sons.

Maloof was so upset she made sure Bravo couldn’t air what Glanville shared and also filed a cease-and-desist against her former friend. Maloof later shared the details of the surrogacy with Life & Style, and Bravo ultimately fired her (though Maloof maintained she left on her own accord).

Golden Bachelorette star Jonathan Rone was mistaken as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson by a well-intentioned fan.

“Once upon a time in New York, it was just another day being mistaken for a celebrity — the ROCK — nonetheless!” Rone, 62, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, March 9, alongside a video and photos of him posing with a fan in New York City. In the clip, the woman can be heard asking Rone for an autograph after inquiring if he was “The Rock.”

“I guess the paparazzi missed me but this onlooker didn’t,” Rone’s caption continued. “I was extremely flattered Have you ever been mistaken for a celebrity?”

Arie Luyendyk Jr. is breaking down the timeline of his vasectomy reversal after wife Lauren Burnham shared her pregnancy news.

“In our last video, you may have noticed that that vasectomy reversal was last summer,” Arie, 43, said in a Monday, March 10, YouTube video, to which Lauren, 33, chimed in, “Yes, it was last year.”

“A lot has happened since then,” Arie quipped.

The couple shared in a February YouTube video that Arie was undergoing a vasectomy reversal after deciding their family wasn’t complete. (Arie and Lauren are parents to daughter Alessi, 5, and 3-year-old twins Senna and Lux.)

The couple, who got married in May 2012, have welcomed six children: son Jraice, daughter Leilene “Neenee,” son Tony Jr., son Sage, daughter Sienna-Vee and daughter Layton, the last of whom was born in January 2025. 

Tony turned pro in 2007 and has had Alayna by his side for most of his highs and lows, both on and off the links. However, Tony recently admitted that he wasn’t sure their marriage would last when the pandemic hit in March 2020. 

“I honestly can say before COVID, I don’t think my wife and I spent more than two weeks together,” Tony told Skratch in an interview published in March 2025. “We went into it and we were like, ‘We’re about to fall more in love or get a divorce.’ This is only going to end in one of those two ways. And luckily, it was the first.”

Alayna Galea’i-Finau

Tony and Alayna got married on Mother’s Day in 2012, though Alayna admitted via Instagram that “they never really had a wedding.” (The couple rectified that by having a vow renewal ceremony — with their five kids at the time — in November 2023.)

In August 2024, Tony celebrated Alayna’s birthday with a celebratory post, calling her his “best friend.”

“She’s so beautiful inside and out,” he wrote. “My life is everything it is because I get to share it with you. Thank you for loving me and letting me love you. I love you Alayna!”

Alayna returned the favor when Tony turned 35 in September 2024.

Jraice 

Tony and Alayna welcomed their first child, son Jraice, in 2011. 

In 2018, Tony celebrated Jraice’s 7th birthday with a moment of sincere reflection. 

“I’m filled with so much joy when I think about this kid,” he wrote via Instagram. “He’s a great older brother and an incredible son. I’ve really learned how talented he is this past year. He can flat out dance – he loves flag football, he’s got great coordination and he loves to eat!! .”

Tony added, “Thanks for being my best bud and my side kick you’ve taught me patience and you teach me how to be a better dad every day. I love you son!! .”

Jraice is busy following in his father’s footsteps as a member of Team Utah in the PGA Junior League. 

“He’s very natural when he plays,” Tony told reporters in October 2024. “But I told him, ‘If you’re ever going to be great, like talent takes you to the doorsteps, to ever go through, your work ethic is what’s going to get you there.’”

Tony added, “I had to work hard and do those things because I was in a different situation. I felt the pressure as a kid, my parents giving up everything they had for me to perform. My kids don’t feel that pressure. So teaching grit, I don’t know if there is such a thing. But I try to apply enough pressure as a parent to keep him accountable for what he wants to accomplish.”

Leilene ‘Neenee’ 

In 2012, Tony and Alayna welcomed their first daughter, Leilene, who goes by the nickname “Neenee.”

When Neenee turned 12 in October 2024, Alayna posted a “birthday vlog,” which included a day of gifts, food and fun — and dad Tony was along for the ride, too.

Neenee was by her father’s side in November 2024 at an event hosted by the Tony Finau Foundation.

Tony Jr. 

The couple’s second son, Tony Jr., was born in 2015 and almost immediately began accompanying his dad to work.

Sage

Just six months after Tony and Alayna welcomed son Sage in May 2016, he was forced to undergo lung surgery. 

“It’s been a LONG week to say the least but I’m grateful for family and friends and their support throughout the week,” Tony posted via Instagram. “I’m grateful for the power of prayer which is something I believe strongly in. I’m grateful to my heavenly father for blessing us with this special spirit. I’m humbled by the love from all our family and friends.”

He added, “This Thanksgiving has been a humbling experience for me and a reminder to me of all the blessings and gifts I’m grateful for, I’m especially grateful for the gift of life.”

Sage went on to have a full recovery. 

Sienna-Vee

Alayna gave birth to the couple’s fifth child, daughter Sienna-Vee, in July 2021. 

“I’m a Proud father of 5 ,” Tony shared via Instagram. “@alaynagaleai you are a strong woman and I’m so blessed to have you bring our children into this world Grateful to my heavenly father for our new bundle of joy #blessedbeyondmeasure.”

Layton

Tony and Alayna welcomed daughter Layton in January 2025, calling her their “3rd princess.”

“We wanted to do a surprise gender at birth this time around,” Alayna explained via Instagram. “Our family was so sure she was a boy based off of my pregnancy (cravings, emotions, sickness, my skin, the way I carried, etc) pregnancy was identical to my pregnancies with our 3 boys. & boy were we in for a big surprise! .”

She added, “My favorite parts were when Dr Jones delivered her & immediately turned her to Tony asking him, ‘what’s the gender, Dad?’ & Tony pauses & looks like doing a double, triple take lol…& ofc surprising our kids, the best ever! We are so blessed & in love all over again. Thank you to everyone reaching out & sending well wishes. We feel the love! .”

The couple made a “surprise gender reveal” video in the delivery room featuring their five other kids, which was also posted via Instagram. 

“That’s so crazy,” Neenee said upon learning she had another sister.

The father of Mae Whitman’s son has been revealed — but Whitman isn’t the one who dished!!

While speaking to Parenthood costar Dax Shepard on the actor’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Whitman’s good friend Lauren Graham accidentally dropped Carlos Valdes’ name as the father of her child. (Whitman has never publicly disclosed the identity of the baby’s dad.)

After Shepard said that he hadn’t yet had the chance to meet Whitman’s baby, Graham said, “I’m trying to think of the last time [I saw her]. They’re in New York now. Carlos, her baby daddy, is on Broadway in Hadestown, which I feel happy to plug because he’s fantastic in it, Carlos Valdes.”

“He’s really great,” Graham continued. “And so they’re in New York for the next while and then she got this job in Ireland. So she’s in Ireland with the baby.”

'Parenthood' Cast Reuniting Through the Years

Whitman, 36, announced her son’s birth in August 2024. “Not to be a Bieber about it but I too just gave birth to our son, Miles. From the moment we heard the first tiny sound out of his tiny piggy mouth we were besotted,” she wrote on Instagram, while making a reference to the birth of Justin and Hailey Bieber’s baby around the same time.

Michael Fassbender was long-rumored to be the next James Bond, but he and Naomie Harris exclusively told Us Weekly that they’re pulling for one of their Black Bag costars to take over as 007.

“Well, I think Regé[-Jean Page] could be a frontrunner after this, to be honest,” Fassbender, 47, told Us at the New York City premiere of Black Bag on Sunday, March 9. I think he’s fantastic. He’s got all the attributes. So let’s wait and see.”

Black Bag — which hits theaters Friday, March 14 — features Fassbender and Cate Blanchett as married spies, George and Kathryn, for the National Cyber Security Centre. George must find a mole within the organization, and he hopes it isn’t his wife. The couple organize a dinner party and invite colleagues they suspect could be double agents, including George’s direct report Colonel James Stokes (Page), psychologist Dr. Zoe Vaughan (Harris) and the begrudgingly overlooked Freddie Smalls (Tom Burke). The spouses analyze their friends as the clock is ticking on finding the traitor in this thriller, directed by Stephen Soderbergh.

While Fassbender was often a favorite among oddsmakers to play Bond, Harris, 44, has a little more experience with the franchise. The former Bond girl — she played Moneypenny in Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021) — told Us that the Bridgerton alum would be the perfect 007 after Daniel Craig‘s departure.

“I think Regé would be amazing,” Harris gushed to Us on the Black Bag red carpet. “I’d love Regé to be the next James Bond. But who knows? I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Of course, Page has heard rumors that he is in the running for a Bond role, which he first addressed in April 2021 after the first season of Bridgerton skyrocketed his star status.

“Ah, the ‘B’ word,” Page joked to The Mirror at the time. “I think that if you are British, and you do anything of note that other people take notice of, then people will start talking about that. I think that’s fairly normal and I’m flattered to be in the category of Brits that people have noticed.”

Meanwhile, Burke suggested another Brit known for historical dramas — but he went with a former Downton Abbey star. “I’ve always thought Matthew Goode, personally,” Burke told Us at Sunday’s premiere. “He has that double-edge charm, lethal thing.”

While the actors are excited to find out who is playing Bond next, Fassbender added that he isn’t too concerned about the franchise changing hands. (Amazon MGM Studios announced that the company took “creative control of the James Bond franchise” after signing a deal with the Broccoli family, who have overseen the films since gaining the rights to author Ian Fleming‘s spy novels in the early 1960s.)

“I got bigger things to worry about. Not really, I don’t have a lot of things to worry about, but no, I don’t worry about that,” Fassbender shared with a laugh.

Steelers’ T.J. Watt and his wife, Dani Marie Watt, are officially parents.

Four months after announcing they were expecting their first child together, T.J. and Dani have announced the birth of their daughter.

On Monday, March 10, the proud parents took to social media to share the news.

Alongside several black and white images of their daughter and glimpses of the family of three at the hospital, Dani also announced her name.

Former ESPN host David Pollack asked for support as his wife, Lindsey Pollack, prepares for brain cancer surgery. 

“I do not share much of my personal life on social media but today is gonna be different,” David, 42, wrote via X on Monday, March 10. “If you are the praying type please lift up my wife Lindsey. She has brain cancer and surgery is Wednesday at Duke.”

He added, “So thankful to serve a loving God that meets us in our struggles!”

David and Lindsey share son Nicholas, currently a junior in high school, and daughter Leah, a sophomore.

Following a celebrated collegiate career at the University of Georgia, David was selected with the No. 17 overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2005 NFL Draft. 

During the second game of his second season with the Bengals, David suffered a career-ending neck injury. 

In 2009, David joined ESPN as a college football analyst. He would appear on a variety of the network’s programming, including College Gameday, before being laid off in June 2023. 

ESPN announced David had been fired to achieve “some additional cost savings,” but David later theorized there was more beneath the surface. 

“I’ve been very thankful that I’ve been fired,” David told Jason Whitlock on his “Fearless” podcast in October 2024. “It’s opened up me to be able to talk about whatever the subject is in a truthful manner.”

David, who cohosts a faith-focused podcast called “Family Goals” with his pastor, said he was “100 percent” concerned about how ESPN would respond to him saying anything they deemed controversial.

“I’m not saying they always said that to me, but it was very clear like, ‘Your opinions you post on social media, while they are yours, they also represent us. So, we are taking that into account,” David told Whitlock.

He added, “I was absolutely worried about what I said so I didn’t get fired. I think that’s a bad thing. I think that’s a bad job by me, a really bad job by me.”

Since leaving ESPN, David has taken on a larger role at The Pollack Family Foundation, which he helped launch with Lindsey. 

According to its website, the organization initially aimed to “educate and encourage individuals, families and communities on the benefits of nutrition and exercise with a focus of raising awareness about childhood obesity,” but it has since shifted to a religious-based goal of “empowering families” in the greater Atlanta area.

Anna Delvey is looking forward to “exciting” life changes since being released from house arrest.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at the “UPRISE 2025: The Art of Resistance” event at Tribeca’s Untitled Space, Delvey said she’s just snagged her own apartment after living with publicist Kelly Cutrone in upstate New York.

Moving into her home is “going to be exciting,” she said on Saturday, March 8. “It’s only been two weeks. I just had my friends [over], they’ve been doing my hair and we were getting ready. It’s all over the place. I’m still unpacking, getting furniture, and everything. It’s so nice to be back in the city full-time.”

Delvey also said she’s working on more art. “I’m hoping to create some new pieces in my new space because new spaces are always inspirational,” she explained. “We’re working on a show with Kelly Cutrone. And probably my own fashion brand. Let’s see, you’ve gotta stay tuned.”

Delvey was on hand to showcase two of her pieces in the UPRISE show. One was made while she was on house arrest, Delvey told Us, while another was from a photo shoot on her balcony. “It was a fire escape at my East Village apartment. And yeah, it’s like one of the relics of the past. I’m so excited to have it included in here,” she explained.

If there’s one thing Delvey is enjoying the most, it’s having the freedom to live her life again. “You can only appreciate freedom once you’ve been on house arrest,” she said. “So it’s so nice to be out and not having to have everyone in my own home. It’s so exciting to order an Uber, go somewhere else and leave afterwards.”

Delvey, who was born Anna Sorokin, moved to New York in 2013. She spent the following four years pretending to be a wealthy heiress so that she could gain access to influential circles in the city’s social and art scenes. While working at Purple magazine, she created a fake private members club and created fake financial documents to prove her alleged multimillion euro trust fund.

Delvey was arrested in 2018 and served two years in prison after she was convicted of grand larceny, second-degree larceny and theft of services. In October 2022, she was released from prison into house arrest. Netflix developed her story into the miniseries Inventing Anna that same year.

Kiss frontman Gene Simmons is giving fans the chance to be his personal assistant for one day … if they are willing to pay $12K.

“[It’s] the ultimate Gene Simmons experience,” the rocker, 75, says on his website.

Simmons is offering these paid experiences as he embarks on a solo tour with his Gene Simmons Band throughout the spring. Some of the more conventional offerings include getting a signed bass and a backstage meet-and-greet for a pricey $6,500.

However, Simmons fans who actually want to help set up one of his concerts – and surely there is someone intrigued by the opportunity – will have to fork over a staggering $12,495.

For this immense sum, the fan and one guest of their choosing get to meet up with Simmons and his team on the day of the gig to go over the rocker’s daily schedule. After a private meal with Simmons, the fan will work with his road crew to set up all of the band’s gear before showtime.

Fans will also get to take part in Simmons’ soundcheck before being brought up on stage by the singer during the show. All sorts of swag is promised as well, including a signed setlist from the concert and an autographed bass used in a Kiss rehearsal.

KISS super-fans with enough cash for this “experience” will need to act quickly because Simmons is only allowing one person per show to sign up.

Simmons and Kiss have been criticized throughout their careers for occasionally crass and opportunistic merchandising tactics.

In 2001, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees announced that fans could be buried in an officially-licensed Kiss Kasket for $3,900. The casket, which could double as a drink cooler, was decorated with photos of Simmons and bandmates Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss.

The rocker personally advertised the Kiss Kasket with the slogan: “I love livin’, but this [casket] makes the alternative look pretty damn good.”

Over the years, Kiss has also branded its own Kiss Kondoms, air guitar strings (as in, bags filled only with air), inflatable tongues and even a signature toilet paper.

In 2001, Kiss headlined a heavily-promoted retirement tour with 142 shows. Kiss soon reversed course and resumed performing two years later without guitarist Frehley for their World Domination Tour in 2003. Their live shows continued until their End of the Road World Tour wrapped up at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 2, 2023.

Simmons clarified to 519 Magazine shortly before KISS’s final concert that their latest tour was “the end of the road for the band, not the brand.”

“Kiss is a universe of its own – movies, merchandise, maybe even Broadway. The band will end, but the Kiss experience … it’s immortal,” he insisted. “It’s the end of touring … We are the hardest-working band on stage. I’ve got 40 pounds of armour and all the rest of it and seven-inch platform heels. Each of the dragon boots weighs as much as a bowling ball. Physically, it’s tough to do that.”

Kiss has since partnered with digital effects studios Industrial Light and Magic and Pophouse to create 3-D avatars, with the intention of launching a travelling hologram concert tour in the future.

“This thing that we’re doing with Pophouse is a jaw-dropping, never-before-seen thing,” he told The Adam Carolla Show in December 2024. “And I can’t get too specific except to let you know the following, ’cause it’s out there. We flew up to George Lucas’ ILM and we did motion capture, just to make sure that it feels and moves like us, ’cause it is us. The experience is gonna be beyond anything you can imagine. Because imagine a caveman goes to IMAX and beholds, experiences a 3D event. They just wouldn’t understand.”

Simmons went on: “The only way I can describe what’s gonna happen in the next two years or so … Most of us know what virtual glasses are. And all of a sudden, the room and the world you’re in disappears. And if you look down, the floor that you’re standing on is no longer the floor. You could be floating in space or on another planet. So no matter where you look, in back of you, forward, up, down, you’re in this alternative universe. Now imagine that experience with sound and heat and all that kind of stuff without glasses.”

Simmons is next scheduled to perform at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California on April 3 and at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula on April 4.
