Matthew McConaughey’s mom, Kay McConaughey, is getting candid about marrying the same man — three times.
Kay, 93, opened up about Matthew’s late father, Jim McConaughey, in a recent interview with Austin Lifestyle, addressing their unusual marital history: They were twice-divorced and thrice-married to each other over the span of 39 years.
“Not many people can say that,” Kay told the publication. “I had three traditional real weddings, once in the Presbyterian church, once in the Catholic church and once in the Methodist church.”
Before exchanging vows the first time, Jim “couldn’t make up his mind whether he wanted to get married or not. I met him in college and we were pretty tight, but he couldn’t seem to make up his mind. I knew he loved me, but if we didn’t get married, I could go back to New York and model.”
“So,” she continued, “I sent him an invitation to his wedding and I said if you can make it, fine, but if you don’t show up at the altar, then it’s over and I’m going to New York. But, he did show up. It wasn’t that he didn’t love me, he simply could not make up his mind. And I don’t think he wanted to get married at the time, but I wanted to get married!”
Kay and Jim had three children: Michael, Patrick and Matthew, who became a movie star in the 1990s. According to Kay, she had not expected to become pregnant with Matthew.
“In fact, he was such a surprise my friend took me up to the hospital to have Matthew and Jim McConaughey said, ‘Well, I don’t know if that’s my son,’ and I said, ‘Then don’t come up and see if he’s your son,’” Kay told Austin Lifestyle. “But he did, he decided to come up and see the baby, and I said, ‘What do you think?’ and he came around. I mean, who else’s baby would it have been?”
Jim died in 1992 and several years later, Kay sparked a long-term romance with businessman Clyde “CJ” Carlig, whom she calls “my soulmate. He was such a kind, thoughtful person and we were together for 17 years until he died of leukemia” in 2017.
Kay and Carlig never walked down the aisle. She didn’t want to, and “was just so happy to have two men in my life that I really, really loved.”
Matthew, 55, has previously discussed his parents’ on-and-off relationship, telling Barbara Waltersin a 2006 interview that they “would say this in jest, but there’s some truth to this as well. Both of them at different times said, ‘Well son, I love your mother. Six days a week.’ And Mom said the same thing, ‘I love your father six days a week.’ That didn’t mean they didn’t love each other on the seventh day; what it means is they said you gotta have time for yourself, you can’t lose yourself.”

Brandi Glanville says she’s on the path to recovery amid her health woes — thanks to Dr. Terry Dubrow.
“Yes guys, @DrDubrow took 4 tiny biopsy’s [sic] from my face so we can continue to get better,” Glanville, 52, shared via X on Wednesday, January 29, adding: “Ez pz no pain I was in and out on 30 minutes now we wait.”
In December, Glanville accepted Dubrow’s public offer to treat abnormal facial swelling that she feared could be due to “parasites.” Dubrow, at the time, stated that he didn’t believe that to be the case.
“I saw one of her interviews and I’ve seen the picture of her, the one where she is swollen, the one where she is really deflated with the irregular skin,” the Botched doctor told TMZ late last year. “Here’s the thing, here’s what Brandi really needs to focus on… and it’s not her fault, it’s her doctor’s fault. Brandi needs a diagnosis.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to X in response, saying that she appreciated all the help she could get. She informed her followers: “[Dubrow and I] have been in touch and plan to talk thank you for all the love. All fillers that were in my face have been dissolved. I have seen all the best doctors at [Cedars-Sinai]” and “all the doctors they referred me to.”
Glanville has been very open about her deformities, previously revealing that she’s spent $70,000 seeking a cause.

“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests … I did lab work for $10,000,” she said in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I ran every test under the sun.… They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite.’”
Glanville told the outlet that some medical professionals suggested the issue may have been caused by old face fillers that were dissolving. But Glanville stated that she hadn’t done fillers in a while and that her older fillers had already dissolved.
She shared in a December episode of her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast that her condition had affected her personal relationships, as she limited her social interactions to just a few close friends and had no sex life to speak of.
“I was hiding and isolating and in f—ing misery, not wanting to share what was going on with anyone and not wanting to see anyone, for sure, 100 percent,” she said, revealing, “I have s— to do. I have places to go, people to make out with. I have not had sex since last October. I haven’t kissed [or] made out with anyone. I haven’t socialized, really.”
Since revealing her struggles, Glanville has inched back into the spotlight, making recent public appearances at a party in Los Angeles and on a poolside patio — sporting a pink bikini.

Taylor Swift could not be more “proud” of Travis Kelce for helping the Kansas City Chiefs secure a spot in the 2025 Super Bowl.
In new footage circulating online, Swift can seen gushing over her boyfriend after the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills at the AFC Championship game on Sunday, January 26.
“I love you so much,” Swift told Kelce as the couple embraced on the field. “I’m so proud of you. I can’t stand it.”
As confetti fell around them, Swift grabbed Kelce’s face and said: “Look what you did! Look what you did!” She pointed at the crowd cheering in the stands and added, “Look at this. Look at this. This is not a real-life situation. … I cannot believe this is really happening. I’m in shock.”
Following Sunday’s big win, Swift and Kelce, both 35, exited Arrowhead Stadium together. In additional footage found online, the two were spotted leaving through the Chiefs’ tunnel while Swift jumped for joy.
“You’re going to the Super Bowl!” an ecstatic Swift reminded Kelce as he smiled and locked her in a hug.
Moments beforehand, Swift had taken to the field alongside Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, and pal Brittany Mahomes to celebrate as Kelce and Brittany’s husband, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, received the Lamar Hunt Trophy.
“You kept me so calm these last couple of weeks,” Swift told Brittany at the time. “I did not know what to do. I was like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK.’”
Swift revealed that her “heart” was in her “throat” while witnessing the nail-biting showdown between the Chiefs and the Bills. Brittany — who recently welcomed daughter Golden with Patrick — concurred, saying, “I was literally up there pumping, stressing.”
A source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly that the pop star is considering the idea of purchasing a place in Kansas City, where Kelce and the Mahomes are based.
“When they have time, they want to look at real estate,” the source says of Swift and Kelce, adding that they’ve “talked about exploring buying a home together.”
Swift and Kelce began dating in summer 2023 after the athlete attended her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City — missing the opportunity to give her his phone number. The twosome ultimately sparked a romance and in September 2023, Swift showed up at her first Chiefs game to cheer him on from the sidelines.
“Truthfully, it was so dumb,” Hart, 49, began during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly ahead of the Wednesday, January 29, episode with a smile on his face.
While fans saw Hart fall during the mud run on Wednesday’s episode, it was hard to tell what exactly happened. He explained to Us that he tripped over a “plastic speed bump thing for all the cables.”
“It’s my own fault that that happened. We were running this brutal workout through the mud holes and into the splash pond and all these things. It was absolutely freezing outside. I got hurt because I wasn’t paying attention,” he said. “In the prior exercises, we had to do two laps around the compound and back into the square. Well, in that certain situation, I think that was the second or third round — [and] I’m not a great runner. The DS said, ‘OK, go out, do one loop around and pull back in.’ I wasn’t paying attention. I went for the full two laps. Well, it was the second lap I actually tripped. … So had I been paying attention, I would’ve advanced and not been in that situation.”
“II’s dark. At that point I couldn’t even see. I had so much mud in my eyes,” he continued, adding that the ankle that he injured is his “bad ankle” that he’s had issues with for years. “I actually have to have that ankle fused next year — I have no cartilage left in that ankle — and I tripped and I hit the ground and I put my hand out. So I initially felt my wrist more than anything and completed it.”

Hart noted that the left ankle pain is “something that I’m used to,” but when it started to swell, it “kept getting worse and worse.”
“I went and sat and thawed out in the shower and the wrist was one thing. I’m pretty good with tape. I could have got through it, but there was no way I could complete the next couple of days of that show with a blown-up ankle,” he said.
After the accident, Hart informed his costars that he was leaving and joked that his wife, Pink, was going to laugh when she heard the story.
“I FaceTimed her that night. At the moment I got hurt, it was probably around midnight. So by the time I made it back to the hotel and got my phone out of the safe and all the things, it was probably 3 o’clock in the morning U.K. time,” Hart recalled of telling Pink. “She’d known the period of the time of the show and probably in the back of her mind, she knows anytime my phone’s going to ring before that last day, I’m going to be [hurt]. So her initial [reaction] — she was wide-eyed, kind of white as a ghost, asking, ‘Are you alright?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, it’s just my old body.'”
Hart and Pink, who wed in 2006, share daughter Willow, 13, and son Jameson, 8. Hart told Us that it’s been “really fun” to watch the show with his kids.

“Most of my career, anything that I did, lives on YouTube for them. My last serious freestyle competition was X Games when my daughter was a year old. So I started to step away from that high-risk level of my career 12 years ago. So it’s pretty fun to be able to sit on the couch and watch something in real time, watch it on TV, because my kids get to see what my wife does for a living,” he told Us. “My son’s kind of starry-eyed because he’s at that younger age. My daughter is tough as nails like me, and literally every week before the show starts and then after she’s like, ‘You don’t cry this week, do you?’ And I’m like, ‘Will, I don’t cry.’ The only thing she cared about is if I cried or not.”
Circling back to his exit, Hart explained to Us that his actual “injury was nothing major whatsoever,” but he was upset about how his exit went down.
“It was a little tender for a few days and then it passed, but I was pretty disappointed in myself that something that dumb took me out,” he said. “But at the same time, as I went into the show as well as every day that I was there, it’s just full immersion. I’m going to take one challenge at a time, one workout at a time and just kind of embrace being here because truthfully there’s 10 things that I could have aggravated on day one or day two that would’ve taken me out of it. So it was a little bit of a double-edged sword. I was happy as far as I made it, but being, like, 48 hours or so from the end [and] not getting to stand on top of that platform with the DS — that hurt my ego a little bit.”
The DS did tell Hart that they were proud of how he conducted himself.
“What those four men, let alone all of the special forces and armed forces do for us, that is a pretty solid pat on the back,” he told Us of the remark. “So I take that very seriously that they gave me that compliment and I was lucky enough to communicate with the guys a little bit and it’s like, look, I put it on the line, I gave it 100 percent and I don’t have any regrets.”

Christy Carlson Romano had no plans to walk away from Special Forces when agent Billy Billingham took her number — a.k.a eliminating her from the show — on the Wednesday, January 29, episode of the Fox series.
“When my husband, who’s a marine veteran, was training me, he basically said, ‘You can go slow, but keep going. Don’t quit.’ The rules of this show changed,” Carlson Romano began during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. “I still love the show, but I think that the rules this season are a bit different because I’ve checked with castmates from different seasons, and this third season, I really do feel like it was a bigger, badder, bolder season than the other seasons.”
On Special Forces, there are no votes or traditional reality show eliminations. Contestants typically stay on until they disobey orders, quit or are medically disqualified. Carlson Romano told Us that she “anticipated never quitting” and hoped to win the show based on her mindset. On Wednesday’s episode, however, Billy declared that she was a “liability” as she struggled to keep up with the group during an uphill trek.
“My husband said, ‘Just stack the days,’” she continued. “And I really thought I could go slower. Not that I wouldn’t keep pushing myself because I was clearly pushing myself, but I just didn’t think he would take my number. I was shocked that he took my number. I thought in the actual military, even if I was a liability, I feel like you can always build muscles. You can’t build a mindset of somebody who doesn’t want to quit.”
Carlson Romano added, “I should say I love Billy. I respect all the DS so much and they know I do. But I was shocked.”
When Us caught up with Billingham and Rudy Reyes earlier this month, they explained that they “watch every single person” on the show “very closely” and feel confident that they know when it’s time for them to go. “As soon as we realize they’ve got out of this what they need, we will kind of encourage them to leave, we’ll put more pressure on them,” Billingham explained. “So they don’t get hurt and they don’t go too far, we’ll take their armband. We monitor it very closely. It’s all based on experience.”

Us filled Carlson Romano in on their insight. “This is their course, this is their world, and we’re just living in it,” she replied. “And you have to relinquish control over everything. And it’s nothing like the actual military, but it is similar in that when you commit to the military, your body is the government’s. As much as I was saying that autonomy was something that I was struggling with, I also was kind of at war with myself for being the perfectionist and being the people pleaser and just trying to do my best.”
Circling back to the hill that Carlson Romano “died on,” she recalled fellow Disney alum Kyla Pratt opting out before the DS turned their attention to her.
“I think that as soon as I heard Kyla quit behind me, you could probably see a look on my face, like, ‘F—, they’re going to come for me now,'” she said. “I was like, ‘Now they’re going to come for me and I have to be ready for them to say really mean things.’ They were calling me a liability, they were calling me weak. I was like, ‘That’s OK. Tune it out, keep going.’ I would envision my husband standing next to the DS telling me to keep going, and that kind of counteracted that. But day eight, you’re calorically also really starving. You’re meant to die out. And I’m already kind of pretty thin and I have a pretty fast metabolism. And I was not eating, I was really stressed out. So I do think that that could have also been a part of it.”
The week prior, Carlson Romano pushed through a task that required her to conquer her biggest fear — being buried alive.
“They ask you what your greatest fear is, so when they put me in the coffin, I was like, ‘This is my own doing. … the producers are slick,'” she said. “I thought that, maybe, I would be more relaxed when I got in there, but something about the way that the DS were reacting to it made me scared. Sometimes I would look at the DS and try to gauge how serious what we were doing was, and I think that they were kind of making it seem, like, this is a very serious thing to try to think about those who have fallen. … They did cut out me singing the Bluey theme song for about 10 minutes straight. On top of that, I went into a full method acting and started to project myself back home making bacon and cinnamon rolls for my girls. … I think it might’ve been a little too disturbing for television.”
The other aspect of the show is the mirror room, where the recruits get vulnerable with the DS. During her interrogation, Carlson Romano spoke about past issues with her mother, who was her manager during her Disney days. The twosome didn’t speak for a year over financial disagreements.

“My mom is supposed to come over tonight and watch this episode with me,” the Even Stevens alum told Us, adding that she sent her mother a clip of what will air. “My mom and I, like I said, it’s in a complex relationship over the years, but she’s in her late seventies and she just wants peace. And of course, I just want peace. We really do love each other, and I’m so happy that in some ways the mystery is solved. It’s like, ‘Hey, this is the truth of my reality,’ and it’s actually the truth for a lot of young performers. I think I spoke very clearly and succinctly, and I think that’s also because I have been advocating for this type of thing for years. And I do think that they brought out the best version of my story and I’m really appreciative of the DS for that.”
In the end, Carlson Romano told Us that she was “living for the community” she had established with her costars, specifically the remaining eight stars: Pratt, Carey Hart, Golden Tate, Cam Newton, Brody Jenner, Kayla Nicole and Alana Blanchard.
“There’s something about having the consistency of having one another that made us really bonded and it did feel like we were a little family,” she said. “And there’s so much that’s left out in the edit where Golden and Cam are going back and forth about their NFL glory days that nobody gets to see those stories. And we were schooling Alana on slang and trying to keep her up to date on, ‘bet,’ ‘no cap’ and all these things. I think I actually sang opera or something to them at one point. … They kind of pushed me to do it. Golden asked me to sing, and I was like, ‘No, no, no, no.’ And they were like, ‘Come on, we’re bored.’ it was not my best work, but I was happy to entertain them.”

Sam Hunt has been arrested for speeding and violating an interlock device.
Hunt, 40, was taken to a Tennessee jail on January 20, TMZ reported on Wednesday, January 29. According to the outlet, Hunt was released the same day on a $1,500 bond.
A rep for the country singer told TMZ on Wednesday that Hunt won’t be charged for the incident and will pay his speeding ticket.
The arrest came more than five years after the “Body Like a Back Road” artist was taken into custody for a DUI after driving down the road the wrong way in Nashville circa November 2019. He pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor DUI charges in August 2021, and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail including DUI first offense and DUI per se, Us Weekly confirmed at the time.
“When officers got behind the vehicle the driver had difficulty staying in the lane of travel and crossed the center divide several times before a stop was initiated,” a police report stated following Hunt’s 2019 arrest. “Once the stop was initiated and contact made, there was an obvious odor consistent with alcoholic beverage coming from the defendant as well as red bloodshot and watery eyes.”
The musician’s blood alcohol content had been .173 while the legal limit is .08, according to the arrest warrant. A few hours later, Hunt was released on $2,500 bond.
The crooner apologized for his actions the following day via social media. “Thursday night I decided to drive myself home after drinking at a friend’s show in downtown Nashville,” he tweeted. “It was a poor and selfish decision and I apologize to everyone who was unknowingly put at risk and let down by it.”
Hunt is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter best known for hits such as “Take Your Time,” “House Party,” “Hard to Forget” and “Outskirts.” In 2017, Hunt married Hannah Lee Fowler, who was also the inspiration behind his Montevallo album, after dating on and off for nearly a decade.
The pair briefly separated in 2022, with Fowler citing “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery” in her divorce docs, which were filed while she was pregnant with their first child.
The couple later reconciled, and withdrew their divorce papers before welcoming daughter Lucy Louise in May 2022 and son Lowry Lee in October 2023. They announced in November 2024 that they’re expecting a third child.
Christina Haack and Josh Hall‘s marriage came to an end during the series premiere of HGTV’s The Flip Off — and the red flags were everywhere.
Before costarring with Hall (briefly), Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa on The Flip Off, Christina, 41, got her start on Flip or Flop. Christina and Tarek, 43, worked on the show during their marriage — which lasted from 2009 to 2018 —and after their divorce was finalized.
Christina subsequently found love with Ant Anstead and they got married in 2018 before welcoming their son, Hudson, one year later. (Christina also shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, with Tarek.) Christina and Ant, 45, worked together on Christina on the Coast before their relationship fizzled out.
“It’s much easier to film with someone when you don’t have to go home with them. It’s not usually a good idea to film with a spouse,” Christina exclusively told Us Weekly in a cover story earlier this month, referring to her time on the show with Tarek and Heather. “Josh was very hard to film with. He didn’t get it.”
She continued: “He’d always get upset with me, like ‘Oh, my gosh, you did this’ or ‘You did that.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m making a TV show.’ Ultimately, it was better that he left after episode one because the show would’ve sucked.”
Josh, for his part, questioned the moments that made it into the show. “TFW you can’t get enough ratings with celebrity designers so you manufactured drama with me, a nobody,” he wrote via his Instagram Story in January. “@hgtv, you’ve changed.”

The first scene featuring Christina and Josh was actually a confessional shot, where an offscreen producer asked if they could “hold hands” for the scene. They tried to find a comfortable position before reflecting on how Christina’s split from Tarek led her to Josh.
“Two children and our flipping business was very successful,” Christina said about her relationship with Tarek. “There were some serious cracks developing. I got remarried and that didn’t work out. And then Josh and I met and I fell like love again.”
Josh quipped that he hoped “third time’s the charm” for Christina.
“This is a competition and we have to pull out all the stops. Whatever it takes to win, we do it! Halls rule. You are supposed to say it with me or repeat it or something that shows that you are with me,” Josh said in a separate scene while reminding Christina that she’s “a Hall” now. “Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is.”
Christina clarified why Josh made a dig about her name, adding, “When I met Josh, my name was still Christina El Moussa on everything. Josh did not like that and he was all about me becoming a Hall.”
Getting on Each Other’s Bad Side

While on their way to check out a house, Christina and Josh kept visibly irritating each other.
“I am telling stories and every time I do, you tune out,” he told Christina, who fired back, “It’s not even a story. You are trying to educate me on something I have no interest in.”
Josh called Christina “rude” for not responding to him. “The amount of s— you say where I am like, ‘I wish she would shut up already?'” he replied. “We have been together long enough now — years — and you can’t figure me out by now? It is going to be a rough run. My wife is pissing me off right now.”
Christina noted in a confessional that Josh was “a bit moody,” adding, “Josh knows that Tarek and I have a history. I am sure some of it is the stress of the competition.”
Struggling to Work Together

As the completion got more tense, so did the energy between Christina and Josh. Their last scenes before his offscreen exit showed the pair trying to figure out where to cut corners on the house they wanted to flip.
“We are going to lose money and lose to them,” Christina told Josh, who attempted to calm her down as she grew more concerned. “Let me go over these numbers.”
Christina called out Josh’s frustration, saying, “Don’t get frustrated! Why are you throwing your pen?” She followed up by suggesting they “start from scratch” before explaining to Josh why Tarek’s methods of cost-cutting in the past might work in their favor now.
“Josh doesn’t like to be wrong so I try to tiptoe around it but ultimately I am thinking like a house flipper and not a designer with an unlimited budget,” she told the cameras. “I am in this competition to win it and I feel like he has to have a little more respect for the fact that I know what I am talking about.”
Christina broke the news of her split to the audience during an emotional moment with Tarek.
“We had a blowup over nothing. [It was] middle fingers in my face,” she revealed. “Things with Josh have been bad for a long time. Not just kind of bad but bad and the kids literally ask me to leave. They told me he is not nice to me.”
Christina claimed that Tarek made Josh “feel very insecure,” adding, “Every time we would barely joke at soccer or I laughed at you, he would not speak to me for two to three days. I would get the silent treatment.”
While reflecting on the demise of their relationship, Christina admitted that she felt as if Josh didn’t “like” her and would often call her “cocky and arrogant.” Tarek defended Christina by saying that Josh was “projecting,” but she ultimately broke down on screen.
“Everything since 2016 has been so hard and so horrible. There are so many good things but there are so many bad things,” Christina said while referring to her 2016 split from Tarek. “It has really taken a bad toll on me and I feel like I try to hide it and pretend I am not affected. But then I do more stupid things to make myself feel better and I keep getting into things too fast that I know aren’t right.”
She continued: “I never wanted to get divorced. I am the only person in my family to ever get a divorce. So I feel like it is safer to be back in a relationship and ultimately it wasn’t safe.”
Christina started to cry while discussing the ups and downs in her personal life.
“Tarek and I split up because he didn’t always treat me right and he will admit that. Tarek was more focused on work than he was his family. When we split up, it forced him to be present,” she recalled before apologizing to Tarek on the show for her own mistakes. “I just want you to know that I am really sorry I did some weird s—.”
As their marriage came to an end on HGTV’s The Flip Off, Christina Haack recalled Josh Hall‘s frustration surrounding her friendly bond with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa — in name and in life.
During the series premiere of The Flip Off, which aired on Wednesday, January 29, Christina, 41, and Josh, 44, filmed one episode before their offscreen split. Cameras caught a few tense exchanges between the now-exes, including one involving Christina’s friendship with Tarek, 43.
“This is a competition and we have to pull out all the stops. Whatever it takes to win, we do it! Halls rule,” Josh told Christina, who didn’t react to his enthusiasm. “You are supposed to say it with me or repeat it or something that shows that you are with me.”
Josh reminded Christina that she’s “a Hall now,” adding, “Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is.”
In a confessional, Christina offered more clarity regarding Josh’s dig. “When I met Josh, my name was still Christina El Moussa on everything,” Christina, who was married to Tarek from 2009 to 2018, explained. “Josh did not like that and he was all about me becoming a Hall.”

The tension continued to grow as Josh attempted to speak with Christina. “I am telling stories and every time I do, you tune out,” he said, to which Christina fired back, “It’s not even a story. You are trying to educate me on something I have no interest in.”
Josh called Christina “rude,” while she noted that she just isn’t as vocal as he’d apparently like her to be. “The amount of s— you say where I am like, ‘I wish she would shut up already?'” he told her on screen. “We have been together long enough now — years — and you can’t figure me out by now? It is going to be a rough run. My wife is pissing me off right now.”
Following her split from Tarek, with whom she shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, Christina found love with Ant Anstead. The duo exchanged vows in 2018 and welcomed their son, Hudson, one year later, but they called it quits in 2020. Their divorce was finalized the following year.
Christina moved on with Josh but filed for divorce in July 2024. Earlier this month, Christina opened up about her search for The One after she sparked romance rumors with businessman Christopher LaRocca.
“I’ll always love love. I probably will [get married again] eventually. But, not anytime soon,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in a cover story before noting that she would need to “be engaged for a minimum of, like, five years” before walking down the aisle for a fourth time.
Christina subsequently celebrated resorting her last name back to Haack. “Identifying as only married twice. Time to update the Wikipedia,” she wrote via her Instagram Story.
Josh, for his part, is dating Stephanie Gabrys amid his ongoing divorce from Christina. His exit from The Flip Off leaves Christina competing with Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, for the rest of the season.
“It’s much easier to film with someone when you don’t have to go home with them,” Christina told Us earlier this month. “It’s not usually a good idea to film with a spouse.”

After Gaultier, 72, released his final eponymous collection in 2020, the shiniest names in fashion plucked by the designer himself rally to Paris each year to re-imagine the French luxury brand with new flair — and de Saint Sernin is the latest pick.
And who better to deliver star-wattage to the monumental occasion than Jenner, who, along with her siblings, frequently don looks by both designers. Jenner made a winning statement in jet-black Jean Paul Gaultier fringe dress at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards and a dramatic fire-engine-red gown at the 2023 Met Gala.

“Denzel and I did a film called The Mighty Quinn, and that was right before he became Denzel,” the Abbott Elementary star, 68, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, January 27, while promoting her partnership with GSK for their Thrive at 50 campaign. “And I would love to be able to circle back at this time in life to do an adult rom-com or an adult dramedy.”
After Ralph made a name for herself on Broadway, she snagged her first leading on-screen role in The Mighty Quinn. In the mystery comedy, Ralph played the wife of Washington’s character, police chief Xavier Quinn. The story follows Xavier as he attempts to help his childhood friend and murder suspect.
While Ralph and Washington previously played love interests in the film, the thriller didn’t give off rom-com vibes. If the pair could be reunited on the big screen one more time, Ralph says she would love for her and Washington to team up for “a great film that has some depth” to it.
In addition to looking for films with substance, Ralph shared that she’s always in search of roles that “entertain” while also giving the audience “a little bit of education.”One project that recently checked both those boxes was Ricky. The drama — which recently premiered at Sundance — tells the story of a man named Ricky (played by Stephan James) who has to navigate life outside of prison after spending his teenage years incarcerated.

“I really feel that Stephan is one of the finest actors in his generation, and I’m really hoping that this is the film that moves him right to the A-list that he belongs on,” she told Us. “And I’m just excited about this film.”
As Ralph aims to educate via her various roles in TV and film, she also focuses on the importance of education and higher learning when the camera’s not rolling. The actress recently teamed up with GSK for their Thrive @50+ Campaign,a national public health initiative that encourages people over 50 to educate themselves about their health and wellness.

“I love the idea of living my absolute best life at any age. And when they said, ‘Thrive at 50 plus,’ I was like, ‘Oh, I like that.’ Especially in a time where everybody’s so crazy about youth,” she explained. “There’s nothing wrong with youth and being young, but you get to a certain point and then you value wisdom.”
In addition to helping older people adjust to a changing lifestyle, Ralph is also encouraging others to be informed about shingles and the available vaccine. According to the CDC, shingles is a painful rash caused by the Varicella-zoster virus (VSV), the same virus that causes chickenpox.
“If you had chickenpox, that means that you already have the virus that causes shingles in your body. And I said, ‘So that’s how that happens.’ Because a lot of young people, they’re like, ‘What’s chickenpox?’ And it’s like they don’t know,” Ralph told Us. “We want to say to people, ‘Talk to your doctor. Talk to your pharmacist. Get the information about the possibility of your developing shingles and talk about vaccination.’”

Andy Cohen’s past feud with Heidi Montag was brought back to life earlier this month when her husband, Spencer Pratt, slammed the talk show host.
During the Wednesday, January 29, episode of his SiriusXM show, Andy Cohen Live, Cohen, 56, explained that after he was “tagged” in comments about Pratt, 41, not wanting to appear on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen he reflected on why The Hills alum would be mad at him.
“I was like, ‘What happened? What did I do?’ I remembered that I had said … something on Watch What Happens Live years ago,” Cohen told his listeners, referring to his 2011 comments about Pratt’s wife.
At the time, Cohen had called Montag, now 38, “trash” and shut down the idea of her appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “I would sooner stab knives into my own eyes than see her on this network,” Cohen said, before apologizing on his radio show several days later.
Pratt, however, hasn’t forgotten Cohen’s negative remarks. In fact, when fans suggested earlier this month that Montag should be on RHOBH, he replied via X, “No thanks.”
Pratt also wrote that he’d “rather sit in my burned house rubble” than go on Watch What Happens Live and chat with Cohen. (The couple lost their Los Angeles home to the recent Palisades Fire.)
Cohen, meanwhile, said on Wednesday that he “did apologize” for his comments about Montag “several years ago.”
Looking back, the Bravo producer confessed he doesn’t like how he handled the incident.
“What I will say also is, that was mean. That was 14 years ago,” Cohen said. “What I really don’t like about it is referring to her as trash. I don’t like that at all. I am really sorry about that. So, I apologize again, I guess.”
Cohen’s cohost John Hill pointed out that “14 years is such a long time ago too” and things are very different now.
“There were things that we said or did on TV 14 years ago that we wouldn’t do now. It just was a different universe,” Cohen said in response, noting, “I’m not trying to justify it. I didn’t like how that sounded.”
He also clarified, “When I said, ‘I guess I’m apologizing again,’ what I meant was I did already apologize a few years ago on this broadcast.”
Cohen joked, “Maybe I’ll apologize for it every three years,” calling his apology “evergreen.”
Following their 2011 feud, Cohen didn’t have much to say about Montag and Pratt. However, when the idea of them appearing on RHOBH popped back up in September 2023, Cohen had thoughts.
“There was a thing in the news the other day where Heidi of ‘Spencer and Heidi’ was interviewed,” Cohen shared on Andy Cohen Live at the time. “They asked her, like, why she’s not on the Housewives or something and she said it’s because of me.”
Cohen was referring to a joint interview that Pratt and Montag did with The Hollywood Reporter in which Pratt claimed Cohen must be a Lauren Conrad fan, which is why Montag wasn’t offered a Housewife role. (Conrad and Montag had a massive falling out in 2007 which was documented on The Hills.)
“I would think that he would appreciate the reality star that I am,” Montag said in her own defense. “I completely make sense to be on one of these shows.”
Cohen replied by telling his listeners that he doesn’t “know” Pratt or Montag. “I didn’t watch Laguna Beach, so I don’t even have much institutional knowledge of them,” he explained in September 2023.
Cohen claimed that it would be “weird” if the couple crossed over to a Bravo show because they are “identified” with another reality show and network.

Rihanna is showing her support for longtime partner ASAP Rocky amid his ongoing trial.
Rihanna, 36, made her first appearance during Rocky’s trial on Wednesday, January 29, when she was seen at the Los Angeles court, per multiple outlets. She escorted to the courthouse and courtroom by security officials, per the Associated Press. (Rihanna was not present when Rocky’s trial officially started on January 23.)
The singer, who donned an all-black ensemble, sat in the galley alongside Rocky’s mother Renee Black and his sister Erika B. Mayers, per the outlet. Her seat was not in view of the courtroom’s cameras.
Rocky, 36, is charged with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm related to a 2021 shooting incident in Hollywood. He is accused of firing four or five shots at childhood friend Terell Ephron, who claimed that the shots “grazed his knuckles,” per the Associated Press. Rocky has pleaded not guilty. If convicted, he could face up to 24 years in prison.
During jury selection earlier this month, Deputy District Attorney John Lewin asked one prospective juror if Rihanna — who shares two kids, RZA and Riot Rose, with Rocky — would influence delivering a guilty verdict to the defendant.
“What if Rihanna comes here to court, is it going to be hard for you to look over there and see the defendant’s family and deliver a guilty verdict?” Lewin asked, as reported by the Associated Press. The outlet reported that the woman took a long pause before replying, “Yes.”

The Associated Press reported that it took both the prosecution and the defense two and a half days to select the jurors from a “pool of more than a hundred candidates.” The outlet reported that the final selection included a podcast editor and actor as well as a man who worked at Trader Joe’s for more than two decades.
While Rihanna has been absent from court, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne’s son, Thomas Zizzo Jr., made an appearance on Friday, January 24. TMZ reported that the police officer reportedly “testified about what he saw at the scene when he arrived.”
Rihanna and Rocky, who began dating in 2019, have largely been private about their romance. In April 2024, Rihanna made a brief comment about their relationship during a conversation with Interview.
“We’ve known each other for a long time. I’ve seen him in relationships. He’s seen me in relationships. We’ve seen each other outside of relationships,” she said at the time. “We knew what we’re capable of, and the trouble that we could bring to each other’s lives. We can make or break each other’s hearts. And so, we started dating with a lot of caution.”
“I’m hurt by how my comments about the beach in Puerto Rico were misrepresented,” Ubah, 41, told Glamour in an interview published on Wednesday, January 29. “I’m someone who isn’t above apologizing when I’m wrong, but I can’t take responsibility for feelings that are just meant to stir drama.”
During the January 14 episode of RHONY, Ubah complained about her room in the Puerto Rico mansion that Racquel, 53, booked for the cast’s vacation. Ubah later seemingly insulted Racquel’s home country while the group was at a local beach.
“The water is disgusting. I swear, there’s a dead pigeon right there,” Ubah said as the cameras panned to a dead bird on the sand.
Racquel was visibly upset by the remark, replying, “I mean, it is nature. Pigeons die.”

During a confessional interview, Racquel reflected on what Ubah said and how much it hurt. “I would never go to anyone’s home country and start bitching and complaining about a place that they’re taking me to that they told me was one of their favorites as a child,” Racquel said.
Ubah claimed she “explained” to Racquel that she “wasn’t talking about the ocean.” She alleged she was referring to “the stream of water we had to cross to get to where we were sitting.”
During the episode, Ubah also warned castmateSai De Silva not to go into the water, calling the area “disgusting.”
Ubah had an explanation for her warning to Sai, 44, as well, telling Glamour, “I warned Sai not to step in because she had a cut, and I didn’t want her to get an infection.”
“For her to say she was hurt by my comment in her confessionals and interviews not only upsets me, but it’s confusing to the audience,” Ubah told the outlet.
Ubah confessed, “It feels like I was an easy target for her to get involved in the group drama, and that’s unfair to me.”
The model noted that Racquel could have pulled her aside and told her why she was upset with her beach outburst, but she didn’t.
“Racquel could have said, ‘At first, I was upset with Ubah’s comment about the beach, but after we spoke, I understood she wasn’t talking about the beach itself,’” Ubah shared. “That would’ve been accurate and fair.”

Despite their difference of opinion on Puerto Rico’s natural beauty, Ubah said that Racquel is a “great addition to the show.” Ubah added, “I appreciate her for sharing her life, her kids, and her relationship with her mother.”
Jennifer Lopez, for her part, premiered her anticipated movie-musical Kiss of the Spider-Woman at the Utah festival.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life,” she gushed during a January 26 screening. “The reason I even wanted to be in this business is because my mom would sit me in front of the TV and [West Side Story] would come on once a year. I remember I was mesmerized and was like, ‘That’s what I want to do.’ That was always my goal. … It’s just an honor to be able to be part of this movie.”

“Catching up on socal news and smh at some of this stuff,” Crawley, 43, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, January 29. “Remember that one time I specifically asked producers to please not allow one specific guy on my season because I knew for a fact he was NOT looking for a serious relationship whatsoever.”
She added, “I didn’t want him to waste anyone’s time. So, instead, they made him the next Bachelor.”
After failed stints on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season 18 of The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games, Crawley was tapped as the franchise lead in 2020. The journey — which was initially delayed amid the coronavirus pandemic — was slated to feature James, now 33, as one of her suitors. By the time production kicked off, James was no longer a cast member. He went on to become the first Black Bachelor. (At the time, James was known as franchise favorite Tyler Cameron’s roommate and college friend.)
On James’ season later in 2020, he fell in love with finalist Rachael Kirkconnell. They dated on and off for four years before calling it quits for good earlier this month. According to Kirkconnell, 28, she was blindsided by James’ decision to end their relationship.
“He said that, at the end of the day, there were just qualities about me that he worries about having in a wife,” Kirkconnell claimed on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast episode that dropped on Tuesday, January 28. “At the end of the day, there are things that we aren’t compatible with and the whole accountability and saying sorry and all that was really the main thing.”
She added, “It was just one of those things where he, I think, just had this realization that ‘I should want to propose to you by this time. Like, at this point in our relationship, I should be wanting those things and I should be ready for that. But I’m not still, I still don’t feel like we’re ready or I don’t feel like I’m ready. I don’t know if I ever see myself proposing to you. I can’t actually see myself married to you.’”

James did not propose to Kirkconnell during his season of The Bachelor, instead opting to date. They briefly broke up after past racially insensitive photos of Kirkconnell resurfaced online.
“He felt so much pressure to just make the right decision and to stand by what was right for him at the time,” she recalled on Tuesday. “And, you know, strangers and people that were really close to him in his life were saying, like, ‘I don’t think you should be with her.’ And so I think at the time, he thought that was the right decision, just to take a step back and not be together.”
According to Kirkconnell, she was “definitely shocked” when James broke up with her the first time.
“We were very happy together, even with all of the chaos around us when it was just me and him behind closed doors, it was amazing,” she said. “It was so much fun. We were so happy when we decided to not let the outside noise get to us.”
Years after Kirkconnell and James reconciled, they constantly fired back at pressure to get engaged. During her “Call Her Daddy” appearance, the graphic designer also claimed that James recently asked about engagement ring preferences.
James has not publicly addressed any of Kirkconnell or Crawley’s claims outside of his initial faith-driven breakup statement.
“Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts,” James wrote via Instagram at the time. “Give us a peace [sic] about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord .”
As for Crawley, her Bachelorette season ended within 12 days when she got engaged to Dale Moss. After they broke up, she eventually moved on with now-husband Ryan Dawkins.
More than three decades after they filmed Home Alone, Catherine O’Hara still has a soft spot in her heart for movie son Macaulay Culkin.
“He’s just a lovely young man,” O’Hara, 70, exclusively told Us Weekly of Culkin, 44, while promoting her Michelob ULTRA Super Bowl campaign.
The actress teased that while she played his mother, Kate McCallister, in 1990’s Home Alone, in reality she is like Culkin’s “far off relative.” (Culkin portrayed Kevin McCallister, who after being accidentally left home alone during the holidays is forced to defend his house from a pair of hilariously inept burglars, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern.)
“I just care about him. I care for him. I care about him. I’m so happy that he’s doing so well,” O’Hara gushed.
She noted that the pair recently did a commercial together, which gave them time to catch up. “[It] is just fun to get to be around him,” O’Hara said.
The Schitt’s Creek alum added that Culkin has grown into someone she is proud to call a friend. “He’s got a lovely family, his own little family that he’s starting,” O’Hara told Us. “He is a sweet young man.” (Culkin shares two sons, Dakota, 3, and Carson, 2, with fiancée Brenda Song.)

She teased that not everything has changed since they first worked together — or since the pair reunited for the 1992 sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
“He’s still got the same face up close,” O’Hara revealed. “It’s like, ‘Oh, my God. I’m still looking at that little 8-year-old.’”
She noted that Culkin has a “great sense of humor” as well, which is why she thinks late writer John Hughes and director Chris Columbus “picked him” for the now-classic holiday films.
“He is funny. Always was,” O’Hara continued. “I just love [him]. I’m just really happy for him.”
Over the years, O’Hara and Culkin have crossed paths and remained eternally linked to the Christmas season thanks to the success of Home Alone. So it was no surprise when, in December 2023, O’Hara made an appearance at Culkin’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
When O’Hara spoke at the event, she jokingly referred to herself as Culkin’s “fake mom that left you home alone not once but twice.”
She then sang his praises for his charisma — a character trait that was obvious even when he was a child. “This beautiful 10-year-old little boy was called a superstar, a moneymaker, one of the hottest leading young men in Hollywood,” O’Hara said. “How does anyone survive that? I believe you’d have to possess a certain quality, a gift that dear John Hughes obviously recognized in Macaulay.”
The following year, O’Hara and Culkin shared the screen for a Chase commercial in which they poked fun at all the “Kevins” in O’Hara’s life, including Kevin Hart and the fictional Kevin McCallister.
To kick off the new year, O’Hara has taken part in another epic ad campaign, this time for Michelob ULTRA as part of Super Bowl LIX’s commercial lineup. In the commercial, O’Hara joins forces with Willem Dafoe for a game of pickleball against professional pickleballers Jaume Martinez Vich and Emily Cederquist.

The actors play coy about their own skills in hopes of winning ice-cold glasses of Michelob ULTRA. They proceed to “out-hustle” everyone on the court in the ad, which was released on Tuesday, January 28.
“I got the script and really laughed reading it. Just the very idea made me laugh,” O’Hara told Us of why she signed on for the commercial. “Then hearing that Willam was doing it. I’d worked with him very briefly on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice but didn’t really get to hang out with him much. And it was as lovely as I hoped it would be.”
A source close to production confirmed to Us Weekly on Wednesday, January 29, that Rossi, 46, will appear as a “friend” of the cast for season 19. (Variety was first to report the news.)
Rossi is expected to join returning Housewives Emily Simpson, Katie Ginella, Jennifer Pedranti, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow and Gina Kirschenheiter when filming begins this week.
Former “friend” of the show Alexis Bellino — like Rossi, a former OC Housewife who returned after many years away — previously confirmed she would not be returning for season 19.
“I was not asked back next season,” she shared on a December 2024 episode of iHeartRadio’s “Going Rogue” podcast. “I can’t say it came as a shock, it did not come as a shock. It was a hard conversation. … I guess I wasn’t really prepared [because] I didn’t think contracts were coming out — like, I thought we had more time. … [So] it was a shock when the call came, but I was never shocked about that information.”
Fans met Rossi when she joined RHOC for season 4. At the time, she was engaged to Jeff Beitzel. By the time the season premiered in November 2008, Beitzel had died after a battle with cancer.
Rossi went on to fall in love with original RHOC castmember Slade Smiley. During season 8, which aired in 2013, Rossi proposed with help from a helicopter. She would exit the show soon after.

One person, however, who isn’t close to Rossi is Judge, 57. The two feuded over several seasons with Judge accusing her costar of being a “golddigger” while dating Beitzel. Judge also infamously tried to get Rossi “naked wasted” at a party.
In October 2024, Rossi confirmed she was still not on good terms with her former costar.
“I think it’s sad that she’s been getting away with harming so many people for years now,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. “In my experience, she makes up horrible lies about people with no remorse of how it affects their actual lives.”

Taylor Swift was not hit in the face while celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ AFC Championship win with Travis Kelce on the field, Us Weekly can confirm.
“Taylor was never punched!” a source exclusively tells Us after a video circulated online claiming that Swift, 35, was accidentally knocked in the chin.
According to the clip, a man went up to Kelce, 35, while he had his arms wrapped around Swift following his win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 26. While the footage is unclear, many fans debated the interaction on social media, claiming Swift was punched.
However, the insider says that the clip doesn’t show the “full picture,” telling Us that the unidentified person simply “went in for a hug.”
Swift was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday when the Chiefs secured their spot in Super Bowl LIX after defeating the Bills 32-29. After the game, Swift took to the field alongside Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, and pal Brittany Mahomes to celebrate.
As Travis and Brittany’s husband, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, were awarded the Lamar Hunt Trophy, Swift thanked her longtime pal for being a shoulder to lean on during the playoffs.

“You kept me so calm these last couple of weeks,” Swift told Brittany according to fan footage circulating online. “I did not know what to do. I was like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK.’”
Swift added that her “heart” was in her “throat” while watching the close matchup between the two teams. Brittany, for her part, agreed, adding, “I was literally up there pumping, stressing.” (Brittany recently gave birth to daughter Golden. She and Patrick, 29, also share daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2.)
Once Travis was reunited with his loved ones on the field, Swift congratulated her boyfriend by giving him a sweet kiss. In addition to the PDA moment, Swift and Donna, 72, issued a warning to Travis as he gears up to head down to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
When Travis claimed he owes “New Orleans a little something,” Swift jumped in to recommend he stay away from Bourbon Street — an area in NOLA famously known for its bars and clubs. Donna, for her part, agreed with the pop star, adding, “We know your history.”
Travis, meanwhile, joked that he “won’t be having as much fun” this time around, seemingly referring to his infamous incident at the 2010 Sugar Bowl. While playing with the University of Cincinnati, he was expected to start in the big game but he failed a marijuana test and ended up missing the matchup. The tight end was subsequently suspended for the entire 2010 season and lost his scholarship.
Travis and the Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome. The Chiefs are attempting to make history as they hope to get their third consecutive Super Bowl win — which will be the first time it would happen in NFL history.
The panel discussion later turned towards Guillén’s latest project Companion, a science fiction thriller that examines themes of consent and human interaction.
Guillén and The White Lotus star Lukas Gage play guests at a remote cabin who discover that their friend Josh’s (The Boys’ Jack Quaid) girlfriend, Iris (Sophie Thatcher), is actually a ‘companion robot.’ Nerves fray on this couples’ trip as Iris has her revenge.
“When I read this script, there was shock value to the way some of these characters talked to their partners,” Guillén recalled. “I never realized how sometimes you see people paired off and you think, ‘You talk to your wife like that? You talk to your husband like that?’ Whether it be the future, which may or may not involve love robots or love partners, or whatnot, how you talk to a human being is very telling of yourself.”

Guillén credited Companion with helping him contextualize the importance of self-love and genuine reflection for men.
“Sometimes people say, well, there’s this epidemic of male loneliness, which is a thing, but also, sometimes the male has to stop and realize, ‘Maybe I need to fix myself.’ How are you going to love someone else if you can’t love yourself?” Guillén argued.
Goldberg pointed out to her View cohosts that she’d made the same point in the past, before stopping the show momentarily to give Guillén a hug.
“I love you! Oh, my god,” Goldberg declared during the impromptu hug.
The View hosts later shifted the discussion towards Guillén’s love life, asking whether he was currently dating anyone.
“No, “ he replied with a chuckle. “I actually was dating someone while I was filming the movie, and Lukas Gage, who plays my partner in the movie, we were both in relationships.”
Guillén continued: “We were talking about our relationships together and we were so in love that we brought that [feeling] to the characters. Now, we’re both single! I was like, ‘You think it was because we saw the red flags when we were filming this?’ And, I think it is!”
Guillén explained to The View’s cohosts that he ended his most recent relationship because his partner “mimicked love” but wasn’t able to actually commit fully.
“I look back and [think], ‘Wow! I’m not the same person I was when I filmed that movie. And I’m not going to be the person tomorrow that I am today,’” Guillén acknowledged. “So, we all move on!”
Earlier this month, Guillén joined his Companion costars including Gage, Quaid, Thatcher and Rupert Friend for the project’s red carpet premiere at the Hollywood Legion Theater. The gala was the first Hollywood premiere to take place since wildfires devastated the Los Angeles area throughout January.
Guillén is next set to star opposite Eva Longoria and Flamin’ Hot actor Jesse Garcia in the family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip, which will be released on Disney+ March 28.

The Dallas Cowboys have a brand new head coach in Brian Schottenheimer — but Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith teased he’s waiting in the wings in case things don’t work out.
Smith, 55, has mostly stayed away from the game of football since retiring as the NFL’s all-time leading rusher — a record he holds to this day — after a legendary career in 2005. But when Smith was asked exclusively by Us Weekly if he’d ever think about coaching, he smiled and said, “At the end of the day, I have considered it.”
“I would consider coaching the University of Florida, Texas A&M and the Dallas Cowboys if the opportunity presented itself,” Smith explained while speaking to Us about his partnership with On Location.
Prior to his 13 seasons with the Cowboys, Smith played three seasons of collegiate football at Florida. Smith’s son, E.J., transferred to Texas A&M in January 2024 after two seasons at Stanford.
Without any previous coaching experience under his belt, however, Smith acknowledged he faces a potentially steep learning curve.
“I do understand that I have to prove to these folks that I know what I’m talking about, that I know what I’m doing,” Smith said. “The way I see it, it’s really all about my staff anyway. It’s about empowering people to take the philosophy that I want to impose upon the team, as well as the organization, to make it great.”
Smith continued, “These are messages that resonate with families. In football, they talk about the word ‘family,’ but very few people understand what that actually means. They talk about the word ‘chemistry’ in the game of football, but very few people understand what that means to the heart of an organization.”

The timing of Smith’s admission is noteworthy, as the Cowboys announced Schottenheimer, 51, as the team’s new head coach on Friday, January 24. Smith said the jury is still out on whether he thinks Schottenheimer is the guy to turn around the franchise, which hasn’t made a conference title game since 1996, the longest drought in the NFL.
“I’m gonna start off by saying this: you gotta give everybody a chance to prove that they’re great head coaches and capable of leading the team to where it needs to go,” Smith said of Schottenheimer. “However, I have to wait and see the direction that he’s going to take the organization and if he has the ability to take the organization in the direction that I think it should go.”
Smith noted that the Cowboys are currently a shadow of the franchise he helped win Super Bowl titles in 1992, 1993 and 1995.
“We have gotten so far away from the character of who we are,” Smith argued. “We need to go back to the fundamentals of who we are as an organization. That’s how we’re going to get back to our winning ways. If that doesn’t happen, we’re going to be sorry for a long time.”
While the Cowboys attempt to right the ship, Smith has partnered with On Location to provide hospitality packages ahead of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.
