Behind the Scenes of QVC: Secrets Behind the ‘Olympics of Live Television’

Each and every day, millions of shoppers turn on QVC hoping to find everything from skincare and jewelry to food and electronics — but what does it really take for the shopping network to pull off “the Olympics of live television?”

While the hosts in front of the camera make everything look easy, guests like fashion designer Stacy London know that there’s a whole group of people who make it all seamless.

“I would like to give credit to every producer on every set that I have ever been on, but QVC is the Olympics of live television,” London exclusively shared with Us Weekly as QVC celebrated the launch of its Q50 “Age Of Possibility” platform in Los Angeles on May 14. “There is nothing I have ever experienced like it, with people talking in your ear while you’re trying to be personable and sell things. It is a ton of work.”

Whether they are a program host, fashion designer or vendor, each QVC star Us chatted with couldn’t help but gush about the place they get to work at.

QVC’s Most Memorable Hosts: Where Are They Now?

“The moment I wake up, I turn on QVC,” fashion designer Lawrence Zarian told Us. “Not only am I part of the family, I’m a huge fan. I watch. I listen. I take copious notes. I learn. I shop and buy a lot. I love it.”

Us decided to go straight to QVC’s biggest stars and ask some burning questions about the network.

Keep reading to get plenty of behind-the-scenes scoop about the shopping network that is nothing short of a big deal:

How Does One Prepare for a Jewelry Show?

Before presenting her lab-grown diamond and gemstone jewelry to viewers at home, Jennifer Miller makes sure her hands and fingers are camera-ready.

“I’ve discovered Westmore Beauty, which is a cover-up for any little spots on my hands,” she told Us. “Gel manicures help so my nails are always in tip-top shape without a chip. All these tricks and hacks are really important. You’ve got to be ready at any moment.”

According to Melissa Rivers, the team behind the Joan Rivers Classics Collection is always thinking of new looks and designs to keep the brand growing and succeeding after Joan’s death in 2014.

“I think we keep it updated and fresh,” Melissa said. “Same thing with age: You never want to get stale.”

What Is It Like Doing a Show Virtually?

Alina Villasante Michael Tullberg/Getty Images

During the coronavirus pandemic, many vendors were forced to Zoom into the QVC studios and present their products. While many now come to the studios in Studio Park, Pennsylvania, many see the perks of filming from home.

“I change every time something new is presented,” Peace Love World fashion designer Alina Villasante shared with Us.I go to the side — away from a camera — switch my clothes and I come back. What I love about [shooting remotely] is that I can show the customer how to wear my clothes or how I wear it and things she can do to make it better for herself or her body.”

For Kim Gravel, she treats remote programs as a one-woman show as she handles tech, lighting and everything else that comes up all by herself.

“I turn on my 5,000 diva ring lights and we stream on an iMac computer,” she said. “I never can find my earbuds, because my kids take everything. It’s so mom and pop in the most professional way. I think that’s the charm of it.”

What Is It Like Having Your Item as Today’s Special Value?

Jennie Garth Michael Tullberg/Getty Images

Every day starting at midnight, QVC introduces its best value of the day known as the Today’s Special Value. The person behind the item works around the clock to deliver multiple presentations throughout the day.

“There’s a La-Z-Boy in the green room and you can turn off all the lights and it’s complete darkness,” ME by Jennie Garth fashion designer Jennie Garth shared with Us about breaks in between shows. “You just train yourself. I’ve trained my whole life on sets to rest and go. When it’s showtime, it’s showtime.”

After the TSV wraps, Gravel said she needs a couple of days to rest and recharge before it’s back to business.

“It takes me about two days — and I’m 53, and I got some energy,” she said. “But it takes me about two days to recover.”

How Early Do Fashion Designers Prepare Their Collections?

Behind the Scenes of QVC What It Takes to Pull Off the Olympics of Live Television
Stacy London Michael Tullberg/Getty Images

The clothes and fashion accessories viewers see on TV for sale are usually planned months in advance.

“We usually have our collections done a year in advance, and part of that for me is making sure that I am not doing what’s on trend,” London explained about her B Stacy London line. “Because, frankly, I don’t believe in trends. I think that when women are 50 and over, they are quite capable of experimenting with trends or non trends, or what works for them in any way that they want. It doesn’t mean you’re not going to get trendy colors out of me or some silhouettes out of me, but I wanted to do something from QVC that felt specifically for how to dress casually in a more sophisticated way as a middle-aged person who is not a golden girl.”

Villasante confirmed the timeline, adding, “We go into planning and inspiration mode one year before. Three months after that, everything is pretty much designed and goes into the sourcing process.”

Are the QVC Testimonial Phone Calls Live and Unscripted?

From all accounts, nobody knows what will happen when a QVC shopper calls in on live TV. According to Gravel, the host and guest only know the person’s name and the state they are calling from.

“It is truly, authentically the customer calling in,” the Belle by Kim Gravel founder said. “And you never know what they’re gonna say. They never tell you in your ear, ‘She’s gonna ask you about this.’”

For Carla Rockmore — who recently launched her fashion brand, Carla Rockmore Collection — she looks forward to a viewer calling in.

“I love when somebody calls in because I get this interaction outside the studio,” she told Us. “I can hear what they may be interested in or what they want to see or a question I haven’t answered.”

What Is It Really Like to Work With the QVC Hosts?

Lawrence Zarian and Shawn Killinger Courtesy of Lawrence Zarian

Time and time again, QVC stars say they are asked on the street to share what it’s like working with their favorite hosts. Spoiler alert: They always have good things to say.

“[David Vebanable] is reliable. He is dependable. He is honest. He is true,” Sandra Lee told Us. “He is all the things you think he is and more.”

Zarian, who creates pieces for BEAUTIFUL by Lawrence Zarian, said every single host has taken time to “help me, guide me, direct me and pass on their tips/tricks/talents to get me up to speed.”

“The hosts work so hard and are so committed to their craft,” he added. “The extra time they spend with me is truly a gift. Before every one of my shows, I carve out time with the host so that we’re on the same page for the day.”

What Is It Like in the Kitchen?

If there’s a cooking show, chances are Temp-tations founder Tara Tesher has a product available. “A three-hour show [of just Temp-tations] can be anything from 21 to 24 items and it has no breaks,” Tesher told Us. “I spend a lot of time before the show making sure I know what I’m doing, where I’m going, what kind of demos I’m doing. The rest just flows. You can’t script it. You roll with it.”

As for what happens to all of the food prepared for the shows, it’s always enjoyed by the QVC staff.

“There’s no limit on how much you can eat,” program host Monifa Days said. “I actually eat before the show because what happens is at the top of that four-hour show, if you’re hungry, you go in on that steak and you have three and half hours of eating food? It is very difficult.”

Fellow program host Terri Conn added, “Sometimes we have a table full of the leftovers that we either bring home to our family or we share with the crew.”

What Makes the QVC Models Special?

Behind every great fashion show are a group of women showcasing the shoes, pants, handbags and outfits available for sale.

“It’s about the attitude. It’s about the walk. It’s how they feel in the clothes, and that’s really what sets it apart,” Villasante shared with Us. “It’s not just the clothes. It’s the feeling and it’s something to make you feel beautiful.”

Zarian added, “Our QVC models are always loved, respected and celebrated. They are truly a big part of the history/tapestry of the company, each collection. When it comes to our one-hour live show, I personally work with our stylists and we bring my BEAUTIFUL pieces to life.”

Who Loves Working Together?

When QVC program hosts look at their schedule of shows for the week, there are some guests they absolutely know will make a fantastic hour.

Days loves working with Denim & Company’s Gary Goben while host Leah Williams savors a beauty hour with Doris Dalton.

While Conn enjoys time with designer Isaac Mizrahi, host Mary DeAngelis promises every show with Gravel is going to be “fun and off the rails.”

Shawn Killinger said she loves working with Brandis Bradley, Harry Slatkin and Dennis Basso. “The things that man has told me in a 30-second commercial break before we come back live,” she teased. “He’s literally the best.”

Do QVC Hosts Really Shop at the Network?

Absolutely yes! While Williams swears by Supersmile teeth whitening and Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple cleanser, Days loves her Dyson vacuum and Vitamix blender.

Conn said the DynaTrap has saved her family from mosquito bites while DeAngelis can’t get enough of Dr. Denese’s hydroshield for her skin.

Killinger went so far as to list her most recent purchases, including Charles David shoes, Scrub Daddy sponges and Wen by Chaz Dean bronzing mist.

“Skeptics say, ‘Oh, you don’t own everything in your show,’” DeAngelis told Us. “I’ve been here for 17 years. You’d be surprised.”

90 Day Fiance’s Chantel Everett Always Gets Asked If Her ‘Boobs Are Fake'

Chantel Everett is “grateful” to be part of the 90 Day Fiancé universe, but she wishes people would stop asking about her boobs.

“Everybody seems to think that my boobs are fake,” Chantel, 34, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting her latest TLC venture, 90 Day: Hunt for Love. “That’s not probably the craziest [thing a fan has said], but that’s one that I want to address.”

Chantel declared, “The boobs are not fake. I would not get fake boobs this big. They’re real. God gave me these.”

She joked, “They’re a real pain in my back right now,” noting that she “didn’t choose” the size. Chantel explained that her literal back pain is one of the reasons she’s looking to make them smaller.

“It’s been on my mind a little bit lately, possibly getting a breast reduction,” Chantel shared. “Especially since I did get my birthmark removed, and I’m not so scared of plastic surgery anymore. [It’s] something I am considering.”

While Chantel is not 100 percent happy with her cup size, she is confident in her romantic life after getting divorced from Pedro Jimeno in 2022. “I’m so glad that my marriage is far behind me, honestly, and it’s taken me a long time to be able to get to the point where I’m actually grateful for this stage of life that I’m in,” Chantel told Us.

She added that this new sense of empowerment helped her be open to 90 Day: Hunt for Love, which premieres on Monday, May 26. On the new TLC series, eight 90 Day Fiancé favorites will be thrown together with new faces in Mexico for a shot at true love.

“I’m a completely different person now,” Chantel said of her headspace going into the dating show. “I feel like this is the better part of my dating life and of my love life.”

Fans were introduced to Chantel on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé, where she met and fell in love with Pedro, 33, during her stay in the Dominican Republic. The couple got married in 2016 after Pedro moved to Chantel’s home state of Georgia.

Chantel and Pedro’s journey continued on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? from 2017 to 2019. They later got their own spinoff, The Family Chantel, before separating in May 2022 after six years of marriage.

Now, Chantel is trying her hand at love again on 90 Day: Hunt for Love and she couldn’t be more excited for fans to see what transpired in Tulum.

“I wanted to join the show to challenge myself to get outside of my comfort zone and see if there really is someone who maybe I don’t expect is my type that I could fall in love with,” Chantel told Us. “In this era of my life, I’m trying to keep an open mind and not judge books by their cover anymore.”

‘90 Day: Hunt for Love’ Sneak Peek Has Rob Finding ‘Love at First Sight’

With the new approach to dating, Chantel said she threw her typical type “out the window” in hopes of making a “genuine love connection.”

Chantel, however, played coy about the end result, saying, “I can’t tell you” what happened. “I have to keep it really close to the chest,” she teased.

Most Disappointing TV Cancellations of 2025: 'S.W.A.T.,' 'FBI' and More

S.W.A.T., Found and FBI are among the shows that fans are mourning in 2025.

CBS put viewers through the wringer with S.W.A.T., which premiered in 2017 and aired six seasons before it was declared season 7 would be its last. The network ultimately reversed that decision and S.W.A.T. returned for season 8 but the celebration didn’t last long. CBS canceled the show for a second time in March.

Despite S.W.A.T. receiving a spinoff at Sony Pictures Television, things only got more complicated when Shemar Moore was the only cast member who returned. The spinoff made headlines for not including Jay Harrington, David Lim, Patrick St. Esprit, Anna Enger Ritch, Annie Ilonzeh and Niko Pepaj, who have remained tight-lipped about their future with the franchise.

Over at NBC, the shock came in May when the network pulled the plug on Lopez vs. Lopez, Night Court, Found, The Irrational and Suits LA. NBC has since renewed The Hunting Party and Brilliant Minds, but those are the only freshman shows that survived — in addition to Grosse Pointe Garden Society, which is still on the bubble.

Which TV Shows Are Canceled in 2025-2026?

NBC’s harsh cuts come after the network signed an 11-year deal with the NBA. This agreement, which is worth nearly $2.5 billion per year, means NBC will air up to 100 regular-season games, which affected the amount of original programming headed our way in the fall.

Keep scrolling for the most disappointing TV cancellations — so far — of 2025:

‘S.W.A.T.’

SWAT Receives Spinoff After Cancellations
Bill Inoshita/Sony Pictures

While S.W.A.T. was canceled multiple times before its series finale in May, Sony Pictures Television developing a spinoff sounded promising. That reaction has been mixed with everyone — with the exception of Moore – not returning.

Moore defended being the only OG star on S.W.A.T. Exiles, explaining in a May Instagram video, “I’m not saying I’m Tom Brady, but I’m the Tom Brady of S.W.A.T. That’s not arrogant. That’s not ego. It’s a fact. I’m the quarterback. I’m Shemar Moore a.k.a Hondo. But I had a squad. A strong squad. A family. A team. And I would be remiss If I didn’t say out loud to the world and to them — because I know they’re watching this — I love you. I respect you. I appreciate you.”

‘The Equalizer’

What The Equalizer Had Planned for Season 6 Before Cancellation
CBS

Based on the original series of the same name, The Equalizer, which premiered in 2021, centered on Queen Latifah‘s character who used her mysterious background and extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. Days before the show wrapped up its fifth season, CBS confirmed that The Equalizer was canceled.

The decision not to bring The Equalizer back came after fans questioned online why every Sunday shows on CBS — including Tracker and Watson — were pushed back. The answer is sports, since CBS is home to football broadcasts, but that has affected Tracker, Watson and The Equalizer’s airtime.

Shocking TV Exits Through the Years

‘FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International’

FBI International Series Finale Feature
CBS

Viewers had questions about CBS canceling FBI: International after four seasons and FBI: Most Wanted after six season. But luckily there is still the OG FBI to look forward to— plus, the FBI spinoff CIA, which is coming in the fall.

‘The Conners’

Roseanne Barrs Most Controversial Moments
Disney/Christopher Willard

The final season of the Roseanne spinoff just reminded Us how much we would miss the iconic fictional family.

‘9-1-1: Lone Star’

Would Rob Lowe Reprise 9 1 1 Lone Star Role as Owen in the Future After Finale
Kevin Estrada/FOX

While there is 9-1-1: Nashville to look forward to, viewers had to say goodbye to the first spinoff and it stung.

‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’

Sex Lives of College Girls Creator Hints at New Potential Homes for Show After Cancellation
Pauline Chalamet, Alyah Chanelle Scott and Amrit Kaur Tina Thorpe/Max

HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls suffered a setback when Reneé Rapp left the series. The show was only able to release one scene without Rapp’s character, Leighton, before it was canceled in March.

‘Found’

Shanola Hampton Answers Burning Found Questions
Matt Miller/NBC

NBC canceling a show that let Shanola Hampton shine as a kidnapping survivor (while Mark-Paul Gosselaar played her unhinged captor) was already quite disappointing. It didn’t help that the news came days before the finale, which ended on some major cliffhangers.

TV Shows That Were Saved After Cancellation

‘Heartstopper’

'Heartstopper' Season 3 Cast
Samuel Dore/Netflix

After breaking records with its first two seasons, Netflix didn’t rush to renew Heartstopper after season 3 premiered in 2024. Instead, Netflix found a way to still properly conclude Nick and Charlie’s love story with a movie.

‘Hysteria!’

Spookiest TV Shows That Get You Into the Halloween Spirit
PEACOCK

Peacock found a spooky coming of age show in Hysteria!, which combined horror with humor. Unfortunately, Hysteria! was one of the many shows that would have benefited from a weekly release instead of dropping all episodes at once hoping the audience would be able to find it immediately. It became a one and done at Peacock alongside Teacup.

‘Based on a True Story’

Feature Based on a True Story Season 2 Trailer
Chris Messina as Nathan and Kaley Cuoco as Ava. Colleen Hayes/Peacock

Another Peacock series that didn’t find its audience was Based on a True Story. Despite being canceled after two seasons, there was something very entertaining about the show throwing things at the wall to see what sticks when it comes to Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina‘s characters solving murders thanks to a fictional serial killer played by Tom Bateman.

Britney Spears Addresses Drinking and Smoking on a Plane: I 'Apologize'

Britney Spears has addressed the recent reports that she smoked a cigarette and drank alcohol while on an airplane.

“It’s actually incredibly funny. Some planes I’ve been on you can’t smoke mostly, but this one was different because the drinkholders were on [the] outside of the seat,” Spears, 43, wrote via Instagram on Friday, May 23, sharing footage of herself on a private jet that was taken the day before. “Confession: It was my first time drinking VODKA!!! I swear I felt so SMART!!! I was like, ‘Wow what the heck is in there.’ I felt so clear and smart, and said, ‘I want a cigarette so bad!!!’”

According to Spears, her friend subsequently put a cigarette in the singer’s mouth and “lit it up for [her].”

“I was like, ‘Oh, so this is a plane where you can smoke,’” the pop star explained in her social media post. “I do so apologize to anyone I offended, but the flight attendants always make sure I’m way at the back of plane anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!”

Britney Spears Warned About Conduct After Smoking on Private Jet

News broke on Thursday, May 22, that Spears was allegedly seen drinking alcohol and smoking a cigarette while traveling on a private plane to Los Angeles from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. TMZ reported that flight attendants allegedly ordered the “Toxic” singer to put out the cigarette, which she did. When the plane landed, TMZ claimed Spears was met by authorities, who issued her a warning about her conduct.

“I thought officials greeted me as support and I was like, ‘WOW, I feel special!!!’ I’ve never been to an international airport,” Spears quipped via Instagram. “Am I famous or something??? The flight attendant called officials because I smoked a cigarette!!!”

She added, “And embarrass me, which, jeez, I thought was kinda much, but she didn’t like me the moment I got on the plane!! Nobody was on the plane for the first 20 minutes, and she wouldn’t let me get out of my seat. I wanted to stand up!!! She acted so weird about making sure I sat down, and it was weird!!!”

Britney Spears Reveals in Memoir Her ‘Drug of Choice’ Was Adderall

Spears also claimed that she “didn’t like the way” the currently unidentified flight attendant put the seatbelt on her and reportedly “invaded [her] space.”

“Oh well, you guys like my flower choker???” Spears concluded her social media upload, referring to her necklace and changing the subject. “B tiny is coming soon and that’s something we have added. It’s honestly adorable!!!”

90 Day Fiance’s Tiffany Franco Reveals How She Lost More Than 100 Lbs.

In addition to seeking romance, 90 Day: Hunt for Love star Tiffany Franco has also been on a weight loss journey.

“I got to almost 300 lbs. … and I realized it’s my relationship, it’s my self worth. It’s everything all together,” Franco, 33, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting 90 Day: Hunt for Love, which premieres on TLC Monday, May 26. “I said, ‘Enough, I need to do something.’”

Franco noted that she had weight loss surgery in 2021 and lost 70 lbs. from that — and she went on to lose 40 more.

“The rest was just pure willpower and struggling,” she added.

After divorcing from Ronald Smith in 2021, the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star has continued her quest for true love, leading her to appearing on Hunt for Love. The series highlights eight alums including Franco — and some new faces — who are looking to find love again.

“I’m like a mole. My happy place is with my kids at home and that’s my circle and I’m happy there,” Franco, who is mom to son Daniel from a previous marriage and shares daughter Carley with Smith, explained to Us. “But I also know that my prince charming’s not just going to come knocking at my door, so I got to hunt for it. You got to go out there and get it.”

Franco shared she had “zero expectations” walking into Hunt for Love so she wasn’t “disappointed.”

“Walking into it, I’m like, if anything, I’m not going to meet someone, spend this amount of time with them and walk away married,” she said. “But definitely I want to see if I can ignite a spark with someone and then see what we do with that.”

The TLC personality learned a lot from her Hunt for Love experience, including what it’s like “being in a bubble and then getting to know people” one-on-one.

‘90 Day: Hunt for Love’ Sneak Peek Has Rob Finding ‘Love at First Sight’

“I got to experience how that can make the world spin 10 times faster,” she said. “You move a lot faster when you take a few dates to get to know someone. It takes a few dates and then you’re like, ‘I like this person.’ When you’re in this bubble and you’re all in each other’s faces at all times, it’s like you’ve known them for two days, but you’re already like, ‘Oh, I love him and I feel like he could be someone I see in my future.’ … It’s crazy.”

While Franco didn’t reveal if she did or didn’t find the One on Hunt for Love, she did share that one man did catch her eye at first.

“I had one special guy with a cute little mustache and some beautiful eyes that got my eye [the] first night,” she gushed.

90 Day fans were first introduced to Franco on The Other Way, in 2019 where she traveled to South Africa with her son to be with her then-fiancé, Smith. The twosome tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed daughter Carley in 2019 before separating in 2021. Franco went on to appear on 90 Day: The Single Life, which aired in 2022.

Throughout her experience in the 90 Day franchise, Franco shared that it did change how she approaches her future relationships.

Reality TV Stars' Weight Loss Transformations: Before and After Photos

“I think it pushes you … it definitely pushes your boundaries and it … forces you to learn some hard truths about yourself and mistakes or habits from the past,” she explained to Us, adding that it’s sometimes hard to rewatch her past seasons. “It’s like this wound that you have a little time to heal it and then you rewatch it and you’re like, ‘Oh my, did I say that? What was I thinking? What’s wrong with me?’ And especially after you go through the process and you learn some things and you’re like, ‘I’m doing better now.’”

Why Is Zach Gilford Team Craig Over Team Paige After Their Split?

Zach Gilford isn’t just a Bravo fan, he’s a viewer with some hot takes — starting with Team Craig Conover over Team Paige DeSorbo.

“I’m Team Craig, on the record,” Gilford, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly while discussing season 3 of Criminal Minds: Evolution. “I haven’t followed it that closely. I just saw the last episode of the Southern Charm reunion, but [I think] she did him a little dirty. Although if you watch the show, it was like, ‘Bro, she’s just not that into you.'”

Gilford praised himself on being a big Southern Charm fan, adding, “I’ve watched it since the beginning, and it’s just, like, I don’t understand how it is just a constant train wreck starting from season 1. … I think it’s been cool to see them all do their version of growing up, though.”

While Gilford did see Conover’s perspective more, he admitted that he isn’t as up to date on Summer House. In fact, Gilford may be one of the few Bravo fans who would rather opt out of situations where shows overlap, as on Winter House or Peacock’s The Traitors.

Greta Gerwig Reveals Which Reality TV Show Makes Her ‘Happy’

“When they do Winter House and Craig comes over and Austen [Kroll] is there, I’m like, ‘You guys should stay on Southern Charm.’ I kind of hate it when they bring all the reality stars together. That’s just me,” he explained to Us. “When you bring in characters from all the [reality TV] shows and do an Avengers of reality TV, [I get taken out of the show] because this is the least real thing in the world. These people would never have anything to do with each other. Some people like it, though.”

Gilford’s surprising insight also extends to Below Deck. As Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen fans know, Gilford has a bone to pick with most of the cast after previously questioning how much they complain.

Zach Gilford as Elias Voit in Criminal Minds Evolution 887 CM_1802_MY_0904_00769_RT
Michael Yarish/Paramount+

“I love Below Deck. I’m so far behind. I’m, like, two seasons behind — but they’re such babies. They’re the biggest babies in the world,” he quipped. “[They get] to sleep for nine hours. I’m like, ‘Are you kidding?’ ‘The job is so hard.’ I’m like, ‘It’s two days.'”

Gilford used his own experience to try to relate to the Below Deck cast, adding, “First of all, I’m a parent. I’m like, ‘That’s all day for the next 18 years.’ Second of all, I used to lead backpacking trips for high school kids in Alaska. So I would be in the mountains in a tent, sleeping in the dirt for four weeks and these kids’ lives are on me. So you never sleep.”

He continued: “I never was like, ‘This is so hard.’ You’re making thousands of dollars to work on a yacht.”

Despite his criticism, Gilford wouldn’t pass up a chance to appear on an episode of Below Deck.

Tom Bateman Watches Bravo's 'Below Deck' Franchise With Wife Daisy Ridley

“I would love to be a guest stew or deckhand,” he told Us. “But the shows are so fun. I only have time for that. When I did WWHL, I was with one of the OG Housewives, so I binged that season of her show. I was like, ‘I’m kind of into this. But I don’t have time.’ I can’t have another reality show because besides that it’s Survivor and Top Chef — and then I’m done with reality TV.”

Gilford’s main focus has remained on playing fictional killer Elias Voit on Criminal Minds.

“No matter what [role] it is, I try to make people like the character. No matter what they’re doing or how bad they are. It’s fun, especially with someone like a serial killer. Or even when I worked on Good Girls, I was a guy who cheated on his pregnant wife and I was like, ‘But I want everyone to like me,'” he quipped to Us. “The thing is just about making people likable and to draw you in.”

Gilford continued: “I feel very, very fortunate and lucky — especially as the guy who started out as Matt [Saracen on Friday Night Lights] — the nicest guy in the world. For a long time, all anyone wanted me to do was be the nice guy. I am still kind of being the nice guy, [but] I just happen to have done bad things [on screen as Voit].”

New episodes of Criminal Minds: Evolution air Thursdays on Paramount+.

1. Good As Hell: Yitty, Lizzo’s shapewear brand, is both size-inclusive and affordable. The Nearly Naked Shaping Thong Bodysuit comes in four colors: taupe, beige, black and brown.

2. Built-In Bra: Don’t sacrifice bustiness for shapeliness. That’s where bodysuits with built-in bras come in handy.

3. Lovely Lace: Lacey shapewear exists because you should feel sexy underneath those clothes! Choose between seven colors and unlike most high quality lingerie, these are sized for almost any body.

4. Thigh High: Bodysuits with shorts promise those thighs will look sculpted, too. You can choose between beige and black and more importantly, between sizes XS through 3X.

5. Color Options: Even though shapewear is meant to go under your clothes, you can find bodysuits in fun colors! Choose between green, blue, hot pink, orange-pink, taupe…there are 12 different options up to 3/4XL.

6. Under $10: Brands like Skims are obviously expensive, but you can find sculpting body suits for less than $10. And with 4.1 stars, you can rest assured it’s decent quality.

7. Long Sleeves: Whether it’s the dead of winter or you simply want to sculpt your arms, long-sleeve bodysuits can definitely come in handy while keeping everything tucked in.

7 Pairs of Shapewear Undies That’ll Stay Hidden

1. Postpartum: Shapewear for postpartum helps keep everything in while making sure your nether regions can breathe (it’s soft cotton!). TBH, it could really help you feel like yourself again.

2. Spanx: Ah, the classic Spanx undies! This is an everyday shaping thong that’s effectively invisible under clothing. It comes in several shades and sizes.

3. Fun Colors: Again: Girdles can be cute! This multi-colored five-pack comes with pink, orange, light blue, dark blue and black high-waist tummy control panties.

4. Boy Shorts: Most “underwear” shapewear emulates a high-waisted bikini bottom. However, sculpting boyshorts provide a little extra coverage and comfort, especially for your hips.

5. Butt Lift: Make your booty pop in reinforced butt-lifting boyshorts. They’re built like an underwire bra with shaping seams lift and define the curves of your butt, especially in dresses, jeans or leggings.

6. Lace Panties: Swap your Victoria’s Secret lace panties for a pair that’ll add some shape. They’re seamless, too, so they won’t show even under the tightest of pants.

7. So Affordable: If you’re really looking to spend as little as possible, you can find super cheap sculpting undies. Who knows how long they’ll last, but at least you’ll have spent less than $10.

7 Sculpting Shorts and Leggings You Can Wear Anywhere

1. Work It Out: Yitty’s shaping high waisted shorts can be worn during workouts, under a dress or beyond. They’re cute, too, so if they show a little, we won’t mind.

2. Sweat Sesh: Amazon Essentials offers sculpting leggings that are both flattering and great for exercise. So if you get a few numbers while you’re on the elliptical, you can thank us later.

3. Total Coverage: Shapermint’s Shorts provide coverage all the way up to your ribcage, and all the way down to your mid-thigh. We’ll take five.

4. For Men: Yes, men can have shapewear too! Get your man a pair of slimming boxer briefs that’ll sculpt his legs and his tummy — he’ll be glad you did.

5. Extra Padding: Give your booty a boost. Pop Closets’ shapewear shorts have extra padding on the butt and hips, for a little added shape.

6. You’d Never Know: Yitty’s sculpting leggings look just like regular leggings… except they’re doing the most in snatching your waistline. Thanks, Lizzo!

7. Plus-Size: These shapewear leggings were made for plus-size girlies. They come with an actual corset, to sculpt your waist comfortably — and they come in five cute colors you’ll love.

Gerry Turner’s Candid Quotes About His Cancer Journey

Former Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner has been open about his health ups and downs after announcing his diagnosis with an incurable cancer.

“As Theresa [Nist] and I were trying very hard to find our lifestyle and where we were going to live and how we were going to make our life work, I was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer,” Turner told People in December 2024 while reflecting on his divorce from The Golden Bachelor season 1 winner.

Turner explained to the outlet that he had a shoulder injury three years prior but did not go to the orthopedic surgeon at the time. When he ultimately went to the doctor, the orthopedic surgeon discovered that Turner had “unusual blood markers.”

“And so an orthopedic surgeon went to my family doctor, my family doctor referred me to an oncologist, and now I’m working with a hematology-oncology group in Fort Wayne,” Turner said.

Turner was diagnosed with a slow-growing “bone marrow cancer” with a “really long name” called Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia.

“Unfortunately, there’s no cure for it. So that weighs heavily in every decision I make,” he said. “It was like 10 tons of concrete were just dropped on me. And I was a bit in denial for a while, I didn’t want to admit to it.”

Scroll down to see Turner’s candid quotes about his cancer journey:

Gerry Turner, 73, Says Doctors Expect Him to Live Past 75 Amid Cancer Battle

Continuing Life ‘As Normal as Possible’

Turner shared insight into his mindset following his diagnosis. “I wanted my life to continue on as normal as possible, and that led me to believing that as normal as possible more meant spending time with my family, my two daughters, my two son-in-laws, my granddaughters,” he told People in December 2024. “And the importance of finding the way with Theresa was still there, but it became less of a priority.”

Turner noted that the “judgements” made about his divorce from Nist, which occurred just months after their January 2024 wedding, were “unfair.”

“When you are hit with that kind of news and the shock wears off after a few days or a few weeks and you regroup and you realize what’s important to you, that’s where you start to move forward,” he said. “And I hope that people understand in retrospect now that that had a huge bearing on my decisions and I think probably Theresa’s as well.”

By disclosing his health battle, Turner said he hopes fans will “look at things a little bit differently, that maybe it wasn’t quite a rash, fast decision that people thought. That there was something else going on.”

Not Saying ‘No to Anything’

Turner shared with People in December 2024 that he planned to embrace Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You’re Dying” message and had no intention of saying “no to anything.”

“I’m going to pack as much fun as I possibly can into my life and enjoy every moment,” he said. “And when I’m gone, I’m gone, but I’m not going to have regrets.”

Expecting to Live ‘Another Couple of Years’

Months after sharing his diagnosis, Turner gave an update on his health battle. “I feel great. Until I have any symptoms, there’s no treatment. So I go frequently for blood tests,” he said on an April 2025 episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.

He continued, “I’m on a six-month schedule now, and I feel optimistic because the doctor has said, ‘Well, when you turn 75, we’re going to have to do three-month increments.’ So it’s telling me that at least he expects me to live another couple of years to get to that. But the bottom line is I feel really good.”

In Turner’s perspective, it’s a “privilege to live like you’re dying.” He added, “I don’t turn down anything. I feel like I’m more open to emotions. I’m more open to experiences.”

Receiving Support From Loved Ones

Shortly before debuting their romance, Turner noted that his girlfriend, Lana, has been by his side through his health journey.

“The person I’m dating will say, ‘Do you want to go do …’ And before she even gets out the rest of the sentence, I will say yes. So I’m in on everything,” he said on the April 2025 podcast episode. “And it makes life exciting because you kind of in the back of your head feel like you’ve got a lot of living to do and you don’t know how long you have to do it, so don’t turn down anything. And so, in a way, it’s really a good thing.”

OnlyFans’ Annie Knight Says She Makes $200K a Month and Owns 4 Homes

Five years ago, Annie Knight just wanted to have enough money to buy an apartment. Today, the OnlyFans star says she is making $200,000 a month and owns four homes.

“It feels nice to have the financial security and also to be able to support people in my life who need some help at the moment,” she told Us Weekly exclusively in a recent interview. “That feels really good. I’m very grateful.”

Knight, 28, is days removed from sleeping with 583 men in six hours, which put her on pace to break the record set by fellow model and friend Bonnie Blue, who claimed to have had sex with 1,057 men in 12 hours. The feat landed Knight in the hospital hours later, and she told Us she had been “bleeding a lot” since the challenge.

“It was definitely a bit raw down there and I did get a small cut,” she said, adding she was unsure if the bleeding was a result of the challenge or her endometriosis.

Everything We Learned from OnlyFans' Annie Knight: Earnings, Sex Logistics

This wasn’t the first challenge that Knight has undertaken. She previously completed a personal challenge of sleeping with 300 men in a year, then upped the ante with 654 in 2024. Her latest effort was a thank you to her supporters.

“I really wanted to give back to my fans and my supporters and the people that have been following me for so long,” Knight explained.

She ended up getting 2,000 men to register for the event, and while she hoped 200 would show up, the result was nearly triple. Knight reflected on how much her popularity had grown since she first launched her page.

“I was earning like $10,000 a month, which, at the time, I was like, ‘this is amazing. I’m so rich,’” she recalled. “Then, it was kind of like, midway through 2023, when I went viral online. That’s when I started making, like, $200,000 plus per month.”

Bonnie Blue Reveals How Much Money She Makes on OnlyFans

The money, combined with Knight’s enjoyment of her job, has made her want to “keep going for as long as possible.”

“Why not?” she asked. “I don’t think you could ever say no to making this amount of money. And obviously I also enjoy it, and it’s fun. I love my job. I wouldn’t want to do anything else.”

Knight added that her income has stayed consistent, right around $200,000 per month, over the last two years, despite a persistent fear that it would all come crashing down.

“It just hasn’t,” she said. “I think that says a lot about my work ethic. I just haven’t stopped. I haven’t just sat back and been like, ‘okay, cool. I’m making money. I’m just gonna sit back and chill.’ I’ve been very driven to keep it going and keep coming up with new ideas.”

OnlyFans Star Bonnie Blue’s Most Eyebrow Raising Quotes

Her next challenge, which is in progress, is to sleep with 500 virgins by the end of the year. She said she’s around 223 so far, but the challenge has been finding men who are willing to lose their virginities on camera.

Knight reaffirmed that she has no plans on slowing down, but she does have “contingency plans” for whenever her OnlyFans days come to an end.

“I’ve got my properties. I’d love to get into more real estate and that kind of thing,” she said. “But for now, I’m definitely loving OnlyFans and what I’m doing.”

You Need to Watch These 3 Popular Netflix Movies Now (May 24-25)

If you’re heading into the long holiday weekend hoping for something great to watch on Netflix, then you’re in luck.

The recent update to the 10 most popular movies on Netflix includes several new additions, including I Still Believe, a romantic drama based on a true story.

Untold: The Fall of Farve is also high on the charts, and it goes from a rousing sports documentary to a sordid true crime tale. For younger viewers, or viewers who are young at heart, The Wild Robot is making its Netflix debut this weekend.

Keep reading for more info about the Watch With Us team’s picks for the three popular Netflix movies that you need to watch now. You’ve got an extra day this weekend, so use it!

17 Must-Watch Movies on Netflix Right Now (May 2025)

‘Untold: The Fall of Favre’ (2025)

There’s a reason why Untold: The Fall of Favre is hanging around the No. 1 slot on Netflix’s most popular movie list. Brett Favre was once among the most popular players in the NFL. As a quarterback, he led the Green Bay Packers to their first Super Bowl win in decades. He even had a cameo in There’s Something About Mary opposite Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz.

Things have changed a lot since then, and Untold: The Fall of Favre dives into the scandals surrounding the former NFL superstar. Favre hasn’t been charged with any crime, but his close proximity to the misuse of welfare funds in Mississippi has drawn a lot of scrutiny. Jenn Sterger, the woman who accused Favre of sending unwanted sexting messages, goes on the record in this movie and details how he negatively impacted her life.

Untold: The Fall of Favre is streaming on Netflix.

‘I Still Believe’ (2020)

Riverdale‘s KJ Apa headlines I Still Believe, a music biopic currently heating up Netflix’s movie chart. This film is based on the true story of Christian music singer Jeremy Camp and the first great love of his life, Melissa Henning, who is played by Britt Robertson. Set in 2000, I Still Believe chronicles how Jeremy and Melissa become fast friends. Eventually, they start dating each other until their romance affects their mutual friendship with Jean-Luc Lajoie (Nathan Parsons), who loves Melissa and wants her for himself.

Everything Leaving Netflix in May 2025

When Melissa is stricken with cancer, Jeremy reaffirms his love for her with Jean-Luc’s blessing. But beating cancer may be more than either Jeremy or Melissa can handle, and his faith in God is tested when her health starts to fail. This film is definitely a tearjerker, but it’s also life-affirming.

I Still Believe is streaming on Netflix.

‘The Wild Robot’ (2024)

Although The Wild Robot came up short at the Oscars earlier this year, it’s still one of the best movies that DreamWorks Animation has ever made. Any comparisons to Pixar’s WALL-E are apt, but Lupita Nyong’os title character gets to speak more often than WALL-E does. Nyong’o portrays Roz, a robot who is lost in the wild before she is accidentally reactivated by the animals that live there.

Many of the creatures in the forest regard Roz with fear and condemn her as a monster. But some, like a fox named Fink (Pedro Pascal) and an opossum called Pinktail (Catherine O’Hara), accept Roz as their friend after she learns how to communicate with them. Roz also finds new meaning in her existence when she adopts an orphaned goose she names Brightbill (Kit Connor). She could stay in the wild and be happy forever if the company that made her hadn’t sent Vontra (Stephanie Hsu) to retrieve her. Now that Roz has a home, she won’t easily give up everything she’s gained.

Tom Cruise's 10 Greatest Action Movies, Ranked

To anyone who says there are no movie stars left, Tom Cruise is living proof that’s not true. For the better part of four decades, Cruise has been a box-office draw like few others.

Cruise has also starred in some truly terrific action movies over the years, and he’s got a new one out now.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is reportedly Cruise’s last film in the franchise that began in 1996. And since we’re talking about Cruise’s action movie track record, it was hard limiting the Mission: Impossible flicks to only three entries on our list.

Ahead of The Final Reckoning‘s opening weekend, the Watch With Us team has selected Tom Cruise’s 10 greatest action movies and ranked them from least to greatest.

10 Must-Watch Action Movies on Amazon Prime Video Right Now (May 2025)

10. ‘American Made’ (2017)

Cruise shed his action hero persona for American Made, a semi-biographical look at the life of Barry Seal, a pilot turned drug smuggler in the early ’80s. Director Doug Liman and screenwriter Gary Spinelli turned Seal’s story into an action comedy, a genre that Cruise doesn’t have a lot of experience with.

Regardless of the occasional tonal whiplash in the film, Cruise still lights up the screen as Seal gets deeper and deeper into the cartel’s grasp with the implicit approval of the CIA. The rest of the U.S. government isn’t as forgiving about Seal’s drug running, and he can only avoid the consequences of his actions for so long.

American Made is available to rent or buy on Prime Video.

9. ‘Oblivion’ (2013)

Much like WALL-E, Jack Harper (Cruise) has to clean up after the end of the world in Oblivion. Decades prior, aliens attacked the Earth and destroyed the moon, leaving humans no choice but to unleash nuclear weapons against the invaders. Jack and his partner, Vika (Andrea Riseborough), remain on Earth as technicians for the last human ship in orbit.

Inexplicably, Jack is haunted by visions of a woman, Julia Rusakova (Olga Kurylenko), he doesn’t know. When Jack finally comes across Julia, it throws his whole life into question and makes him wonder what he’s really doing on Earth. This was Cruise’s first collaboration with director Joseph Kosinski, and their second film together was even bigger than this sci-fi epic.

Oblivion is available to rent or buy on Prime Video.

8. ‘Collateral’ (2004)

Cruise doesn’t usually play villains, but he embraced his dark side in director Michael Mann‘s stylish action thriller Collateral. The story revolves around a cab driver named Max Durocher (Jamie Foxx), who picks up a customer named Vincent (Cruise). When Vincent offers Max a large amount of money to ferry him around town, it seems like his lucky day.

However, Max learns pretty quickly that Vincent is a contract killer and he’s inadvertently helped him carry out his hits. Vincent also takes Max hostage to prevent him from escaping his grasp. When Vincent takes out his last target, Max may be next on his hit list unless he outmaneuvers this assassin.

Tom Cruise Steals the Show at Cannes With 'Mission: Impossible' Premiere

7. ‘Minority Report’ (2002)

If we explained what the title of Minority Report means in the context of the story, it would be too big of a spoiler. Cruise’s first collaboration with director Steven Spielberg was based upon a Philip K. Dick novella that introduced the concept of Precrime. In the future, murder is almost a thing of the past as a trio of precogs can see crimes before they occur. Almost all murder attempts are stopped by John Anderton (Cruise) and his Precrime team, and they’re about to take their program national.

Anderton’s world is turned upside down when the precogs predict that he will murder Leo Crow (Mike Binder), a man he’s never met. Suddenly, Anderton’s team is hunting him down, and he has to find a way to prove his innocence before he joins the rest of the would-be murderers in an extended state of suspended animation.

Minority Report is streaming on Paramount+.

6. ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ (2014)

Cruise re-teamed with director Doug Liman in Edge of Tomorrow, an adaptation of the Japanese novel All You Need Is Kill. By the time Warner Bros. thought of calling it Live. Die. Repeat., it was already out on home video. This flick underperformed in theaters, but it’s so good that an audience has discovered it, and people are still clamoring for a sequel.

Emily Blunt Clarifies Tom Cruise Story: 'He Was a Total Gem to Me'

For this film, Cruise plays Major William Cage, a cowardly military reporter who mouthed off to the wrong superior officer. On the frontline of an alien invasion, Cage dies horribly alongside his fellow troops. But because he was infected by alien blood, Cage can now relive the same day endlessly. Sergeant Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt) — the only other person to have had that power — takes Cage under her wing and makes him a great warrior. And no matter how skilled Cage becomes, it never seems to change the outcome in humanity’s favor.

Edge of Tomorrow is available to rent or buy on Prime Video.

5. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015)

Cruise has been making Mission: Impossible movies since 1996, but Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation was truly a turning point for the films. Ethan Hunt (Cruise) is usually prepared for almost any threat, but The Syndicate — the titular rogue nation — completely outmaneuvers him. In short order, Ethan is branded a traitor by the U.S. government, and CIA director Alan Hunley (Alec Baldwin) can’t wait to bring him down.

Luckily for Ethan, Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson) has his back. Ilsa’s a MI6 agent embedded deep undercover in The Syndicate, and she hates that group even more than Ethan does. Ilsa just doesn’t have a way out unless she joins forces with Ethan’s Impossible Mission Force to bring down The Syndicate from the inside.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is streaming on Paramount+.

The ‘Top Gun’ Franchise Cast’s Honest Quotes About Working With Val Kilmer

4. ‘Top Gun’ (1986)

It was still relatively early in his career when Cruise headlined Top Gun, one of the seminal action movies of the ’80s. The fact that he’s still so prominent in action flicks speaks to Cruise’s staying power as a star. You may feel “the need for speed” as LT Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Cruise) and his wingman LTJG Nick “Goose” Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards) enter Top Gun, the prestigious Naval program that teaches the elite pilots.

Maverick doesn’t take too long before he romances a Top Gun civilian instructor, Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood (Kelly McGillis), and finds a rival in LT Tom “Iceman” Kazansky (Val Kilmer). Most of the action is in the air, and it’s incredible even by modern standards. This is the movie that put Cruise on the path to becoming an action icon.

3. ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’ (2023)

The struggle against A.I. gets very personal for Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, even before he decides that the artificial being known as The Entity has to be destroyed. The Entity has already developed some level of sentience, and it has also recruited Ethan’s old adversary, Gabriel Martinelli (Esai Morales), to follow its agenda in the real world.

Jay Ellis Teases 'Top Gun 3' Progress: 'Still Working on the Script'

Ethan’s attempts to get the tools he needs to fight The Entity are thwarted by Grace (Hayley Atwell), a thief who has her own agenda. Even if Ethan can get on the same page with Grace, The Entity is still the one foe he can’t defeat by punching, shooting or kicking it. Since this film leads directly into Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, it doesn’t end as much as it stops. Regardless, it set another high-water mark for the franchise.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is streaming on Paramount+.

2. ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ (2022)

Maverick’s back in Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel that was 36 years in the making. For this film, Cruise re-teamed with director Joseph Kosinski and even his frequent Mission: Impossible director, Christopher McQuarrie, contributed to the script. When the story picks up, Maverick has successfully avoided getting promoted from Captain for decades because he loves flying too much.

When Maverick is called back to Top Gun, he’s given the reins to train a new generation of pilots for a deadly mission. Those recruits include Lieutenant Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of Maverick’s late wingman, Goose. Rooster and Maverick are going to need to work out their issues because there’s a battle on the horizon, and Maverick doesn’t plan on sitting on the sidelines.

Katy O’Brian Teases Tom Cruise’s ‘Terrifying’ 'Mission Impossible' Stunts

1. ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ (2018)

Mission: Impossible – Fallout isn’t just Tom Cruise’s best action movie; it’s the kind of movie all action flicks should aspire to be. This is a true sequel to Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, with the series’ first returning villain, Solomon Lane (Sean Harris). Fallout also introduces a new rival for Ethan who can match him punch for punch, but we’ll refrain from revealing his identity here.

This film and Dead Reckoning are pretty close in terms of quality. Fallout gets the edge for telling a complete story that continuously escalates the tension. It also gives each of Ethan’s team — Ilsa Faust (Ferguson), Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg), Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and a surprise returning character — something important to pull off during the film’s grand finale.

If Cruise and company had stopped making Mission: Impossible films with this movie, then it would have been a fitting conclusion in its own right. Because they made a different choice,  Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will get a chance to top it.

Courtney Cox ‘Always Uses’ This Body Wash That Shoppers Call ‘Good for Sensitive Skin’

If you have sensitive skin, you know the body wash struggle: too harsh, and your skin flares up. Too scented, and suddenly you’re dealing with irritation or dryness. It’s a frustrating dilemma of wanting to feel clean and smell good without running the risk of skin issues. That’s why when a celebrity with great taste (hi, Courteney Cox) co-signs a body wash that’s actually gentle, we pay attention.

The Friends actress told Harper’s Baazar she “always uses” Nécessaire’s body wash, and coincidentally, this staple is a favorite among Amazon customers who rave about how soothing it is — especially for dry, reactive skin. The gel-oil hybrid texture provides a luxurious lather without stripping the skin of its natural oils. The luxurious scent is just the cherry on top!

Gwyneth Paltrow Keeps This $19 Facial Mist on Her Vanity

The body wash is available in several scents including ‘santal,’ ‘olibanum,’ ‘hinoki,’ ‘eucalyptus’ and a fragrance-free version. It’s also non-comedogenic (so it won’t clog pores) and replaces harsh ingredients like sulfates, parabens and phthalates with good-for-you alternatives like niacinamide to support the skin barrier and liquid epsom salt to replenish tired-feeling skin.

One Amazon shopper who has sensitive, overly-reactive skin wrote, “Good for sensitive skin. I have been buying the Nécessaire body washes for years. [They’re] one of the few body washes that my skin doesn’t react to.”

Another customer who struggles with liking “things that smell good” but has “very sensitive skin” said that their “[skin didn’t react to this at all” and that “the smell is great! Super relaxing and perfect for after a long day.”

With praise this good, it’s no wonder stars and everyday shoppers alike are stocking up on Nécessaire’s body wash at Amazon!

If You Have to Watch 1 Hulu Movie in May 2025, Stream This 1

Pamela Anderson is probably always going to be known for playing lifeguard C.J. Parker for five seasons on Baywatch during the ’90s. The images of Anderson in Baywatch‘s famous red swimwear are also what helped her became an icon.

That’s been both a curse and a blessing for Anderson, who never fully shed her reputation for being a sex symbol. It’s also what made Anderson the perfect choice to take the lead in Gia Coppola‘s The Last Showgirl.

There are also some unmistakable parallels between Anderson and her character, Shelly Gardner, as she faces the end of the long-running revue that defined her career.

The Last Showgirl didn’t get a lot of love during the awards season earlier this year, but that should change now that the film is available to stream. It’s Watch With Us‘ pick for the one Hulu movie that you have to watch in May 2025.

Pamela Anderson’s Son Brandon Addresses Her 'Last Showgirl' Oscars Snub

Pamela Anderson Gives the Performance of Her Life

Most of the roles Anderson played early in her career revolved around her physical attributes rather than the intangibles that she offers as a performer. If you ever had any doubts about her talent, Anderson dispels them in The Last Showgirl with by far the best performance she’s ever given. For three decades, Shelly (Anderson) was one of the leading showgirls in a Las Vegas show called Le Razzle Dazzle. Once Shelly learns the show is ending, she has no backup plan, and her future suddenly becomes very frightening to her.

Anderson is very relatable as she conveys Shelly’s fear of a life without the thing that defined her. But that isn’t the full extent of Anderson’s range in the film. Shelly is also seen in her lowest moments feeling despair and anger. To cope with the loss of a career that defined her identity, she’s engaged in a certain amount of wishful thinking that doesn’t reflect the reality of her situation. Shelly seems broken, but that only makes Anderson’s performance more compelling.

The Supporting Cast Helps Carry the Weight of the Story

Anderson does a lot of the heavy lifting with her performance, but she doesn’t carry the film alone. Coppola surrounded her with a veteran cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista and Kiernan Shipka. Curtis plays a character named Annette who has fallen even further than Shelly. Annette was kicked out of the revue years earlier over her age, and she barely gets by as a cocktail waitress while battling a gambling addiction. She’s a cautionary tale for Shelly about what the next chapter of her life may hold for her.

Bautista embraces his dramatic side with his character, Eddie, a man who has largely escaped the consequences of his choices. His connection with Shelly is revealed in the film, but she’s also deeply resentful that Eddie gets to keep his job with the new revue while she’s essentially being cut loose. Bautista strikes the right balance of showing some sympathy towards Shelly, a desire to remain friends with her and harboring some anger over the personal issues that link them together.

The Last Showgirl Isn’t Afraid to Show Shelly’s Flaws

2024 Winter Movie Preview
RoadsideFlix/YouTube

Perhaps it’s a good thing that Hulu waited until after Mother’s Day to drop The Last Showgirl, because Shelly’s greatest failing is as a mother and a surrogate mother. Billie Lourd — the daughter of Hollywood legend Carrie Fisher — was an inspired choice to play Shelly’s daughter, Hannah Gardner. Hannah’s relationship with her mother is very strained in the movie, because she feels that Shelly always loved the show more than her own child. And she’s not wrong.

Shipka and Brenda Song play two of the younger showgirls, Jodie and Mary-Anne, who regard Shelly as a mother figure. And she constantly lets them down even after they lend her moral support. There are also scenes in the movie where Shelly treats the two younger women so poorly that it risks turning the audience against her.

The film is ultimately better because it embraces Shelly’s character flaws. She’s perfectly imperfect as a mom, mentor and friend, and Anderson commands the screen when she gets to show off Shelly’s darker impulses.

The Last Showgirl is now streaming on Hulu.

3 Great Amazon Prime Video Movies to Watch on Memorial Day Weekend

It’s Memorial Day Weekend! That means barbecues, sunshine and the beach — but if you need to get out of the sun for a bit, why not queue up a movie on Amazon Prime Video?

Watch With Us has curated a list of three great movies on the platform that combine a tiny bit of Americana with a whole lot of fun.

These movies star Tom Cruise, Seth Rogen and Nicholas Galitzine and are available with your subscription to Amazon Prime Video.

‘Top Gun’ (1986)

Tom Cruise stars in this classic action movie about fighter pilots at the United States Navy’s Fighter Weapons School (also known as Top Gun) at Naval Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California.

11 Great Comedy Movies on Amazon Prime Video Right Now (May 2025)

Top Gun has everything — action, romance and even beach volleyball. Cruise plays Lieutenant Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, a young naval aviator whose friendship with his radar intercept officer, Lieutenant Nick “Goose” Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards), forms the heart of the movie. Come for the fighter jets, stay for the song “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin. Once you’ve watched Top Gun, you can also enjoy Top Gun: Maverick, the 2022 sequel that became a box office smash.

‘Sausage Party’ (2016)

We recommend you don’t watch this movie until after your Memorial Day BBQ, because it will definitely make you lose your appetite — but it will also make you laugh until you cry. In Sausage Party, all food is secretly sentient. It lives in the grocery store and is waiting to be chosen by “the Gods” (aka humans) to be taken “to the Great Beyond.”

7 Must-See Animated Movies For Adults, Ranked

But when Frank (Seth Rogen) gets an inkling that the Great Beyond may not be the paradise they’ve been led to believe, he and his friends begin to investigate the true nature of the world outside the supermarket. Sausage Party stars a voice cast of comedy greats like Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Michael Cera, and in addition to great laughs, it also delivers some interesting social commentary about religion.

‘Red, White, & Royal Blue’ (2023)

This rom-com is based on the hit novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston and tells the story of a love affair between Alex, the First Son of the United States (Taylor Zakhar Perez) and Henry, the youngest prince of England (Nicholas Galitzine).

8 Must-See Rom-Coms on Amazon Prime Video Right Now (May 2025)

The duo starts out despising each other, but as their enmity turns to love, they wonder if their families, let alone their countries, will accept them. It’s a sweet, aspirational movie that takes classic romantic comedy tropes and puts them through a romantic queer lens.

MGK Tells Ex to ‘Stay With Me’ in New Song After Megan Fox Split

Machine Gun Kelly has a message for an unnamed lover in his new song “Cliché.”

The musician (real name Colson Baker) dropped the new track on Friday, May 23 and although he does not namecheck anyone in the song, the record features some heartfelt lyrics.

“Tell me, would you stay with me?” MGK, 35, sings in the track’s chorus. “Baby, we could make this home.”

The lyrics continue: “You should run away with me / Even if you’re better off alone.”

Machine Gun Kelly Shares New Glimpse of His 8-Week-Old Baby With Megan Fox

MGK’s new music comes five months after he and ex Megan Fox called it quits and two months after the former couple welcomed a baby daughter together.

Fox, 39, first met in 2020 on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass and they experienced lots of highs and lows in their relationship before they quietly went their separate ways in November 2024 while Fox was pregnant.

News broke of their separation in December 2024 and a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that while it wasn’t their first break-up, this time the split is for good.

“Their relationship is so full of passion and that leads them to get back together over and over, but also to fight in the most toxic of ways,” the insider told Us. “Their fights have gotten less intense now that MGK is sober, but they still have such a hard time having a stable relationship with each other.”

MGK shared the news in March that he and Fox had welcomed their daughter, announcing via Instagram, “She’s finally here!!”

In the caption of the Instagram post, he referred to their daughter as “Our little celestial seed.” Following confusion from fans MGK was later forced to clarify that they did not name their daughter “celestial seed.”

MGK Is 'Taking Some Time Away' After Megan Fox Split: Source

Despite sharing a child together, Fox and MGK are “absolutely not getting back together at this point in time,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively earlier this month.

Fox announced her pregnancy in November 2024 after opening up about suffering a past miscarriage. “Nothing is ever really lost,” she captioned an Instagram post at the time. “Welcome back 👼🏼❤.”

In the first photo, Fox cradled her baby bump and tagged MGK on her stomach. A second picture showed her positive pregnancy test.

Fox also shares sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex Brian Austin Green. Meanwhile, MGK is also a father to daughter Casie, 15, whom he shares with his ex, Emma Cannon.

Kris Jenner’s Plastic Surgeon: 5 Things to Know About Dr. Steven Levine

Plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Levine has been unveiled as the man behind Kris Jenner’s radiant visage.

The Kardashian matriarch stepped out recently looking glowing, leading to speculation surrounding just who was responsible for the 69-year-old’s fresh look.

Now that the identity of the man credited with Jenner’s appearance has been revealed as Levine, Us Weekly is sharing five things to know about the in-demand New York doctor.

1. He’s a plastic surgeon to A-listers, including Kris Jenner

As he’s built up a reputation for his skills with a scalpel, Dr. Steven Levine has attracted the interest of A-listers all wanting to enhance their looks.

This Is the Celebrity Plastic Surgeon Behind Kris Jenner's New Glow-Up

Dr. Levine’s client list reportedly includes famous models, actresses and more — and one recent high-profile name purportedly using his services is Jenner.

Per a People report in May, Jenner had “aesthetic enhancements” performed by Dr. Levine, though the exact kind is still unknown.

2. He specializes in “natural-looking” face and body work

According to Dr. Levine’s website, he specializes in “natural-looking enhancements” for the face and body, such as facelifts, brow lifts, blepharoplasty (A.K.A. eyelid lifts), brow lifts, neck lifts, facial fat grafting, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and dermabrasion (which helps with fine lines). Per a People interview in 2020, the fee for his facial work starts at $45,000.

3. He’s won a bunch of prestigious awards

The in-demand and acclaimed doctor has earned several awards for his well-honed skills, according to his website.

He’s won the Blair Rodgers Resident Research Award at Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, New York University Medical Center as well as NYU School of Medicine’s Outstanding Contribution to Student Life Award.

Also among the awards are several from Tufts University including being a Wendell Phillips Award Finalist and achieving the Arnold B. Hoffman University Service Award.

4. His business was affected in unexpected ways during the COVID-19 pandemic

When elective surgery was forced to an abrupt halt in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Levine found his New York-based business was affected in surprising ways.

Some clients were apparently so desperate to still get their plastic surgery fix that they jokingly bribed him to operate regardless of the lockdowns, he told People in 2020. One hopeful client even offered Levine “a month-long in-house accommodation in the Hamptons.”

5.  He turns down a third of would-be patients

In an interview with V Magazine in 2019, Levine talked about being responsible as a doctor when it comes to accepting plastic surgery requests from prospective patients.

“I’d say a third and a half [of patients] I say no to. Sometimes I get weird vibes, sometimes I don’t think I can make them happy, sometimes I don’t think they’re ready, um, or it might be it just won’t look good on them,” he told the outlet at the time.

Kris Jenner Accused of Using Facetune in Latest Snap, Editing App Comments

Levine acknowledged that he chooses ethics over taking on clients purely for the paycheck if he thinks the surgery they want is a bad idea from a medical standpoint.

“So, the things I do are, I say things to them like ‘I am telling you no which means I am turning down a fee. Right, you are offering me money and I am saying no. Please understand that that means that I think this is a bad idea for you.’” he added.
