The TV renewals and cancellations are rolling in ahead of upfronts week — but which shows continue to hang in limbo?

ABC has been renewing shows left and right including High Potential, Shifting Gears and more. Doctor Odyssey, however, has remained on the bubble ahead of its season finale. There has been speculation that the quickly Ryan Murphy-led series is too costly to pick up for more seasons.

Doctor Odyssey follows Joshua Jackson‘s character, Dr. Max Bankman, on his journey to becoming the new onboard doctor of the Odyssey, a cruise ship helmed by Captain Massey (Don Johnson). The show — which also stars Phillipa Soo and Sean Teale — hasn’t been afraid to push boundaries with wild story lines and a revolving door of star-studded cameos.

“[Cocreator] Ryan [Murphy]’s imagination is prolific and bizarre in its ability to hold [space] for the absolutely grotesque and absurd — and then there are his lighter and happier shows. All of that being inside of one man’s imagination is amazing,” Jackson exclusively told Us Weekly in March. “I will say that for myself, I have wanted to work for Ryan for quite a long time.”

Jackson praised the creative storytelling ideas, adding, “Ryan’s word was sparkle. He said, ‘Make sure that my show sparkles.’ And we have tried to make sure that this show sparkles as much as possible and just hope that the joy that we feel in performing it and doing it all together is what comes across while you’re watching it.”

Then there’s The Hunting Party on NBC, which stars Melissa Roxburgh and is a crime procedural about investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers in the country. The twist? The criminals escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist.

Roxburgh is playing Bex, an ex-FBI agent recruited to the task force due to her reputation as a profiler who caught the world’s most dangerous serial killers. She must work with the warden of the prison, who turns out to be her former partner and ex-boyfriend Oliver. Their last mission took a turn when Oliver murdered the criminal they were chasing down and Bex can’t figure out whether she trusts Oliver now.

NBC’s procedural relies on unexpected twists — and Roxburgh hasn’t always been in the know. “I kind of go back and forth. There are some days where I’m so overwhelmed by what’s currently happening in the scripts and making sure that I have my lines down or trying to understand it,” she told Us in February. “Then there are some easier days where I’m like, ‘I’m going to go be nosy to the showrunner now because I want to find out what happens.’ As the series went on with the mystery, I did start to get a little more curious.”

Bravo is busting a big rumor in the Big Apple.

After reports questioning the future of The Real Housewives of New York City began to surface online, with Page Six reporting that there were no “firm plans” for the franchise to continue, the network chose to set the record straight.

“Nothing is official,” a Bravo spokesperson told Us Weekly on Friday, May 9. “The show hasn’t been canceled.”

Bravo’s reaction comes days after Bravo announced its upcoming slate of programming on Wednesday, May 7, with a mix of returning shows and new additions.

While several Housewives franchises were picked up for another season, including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Orange County, The Real Housewives of Potomac and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, The Real Housewives of New York City was noticeably missing.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey was also missing from the renewal list, but fans are aware the show has been on pause since season 14 wrapped in August 2024.

Earlier this week, several cast members from The Real Housewives of New York City reunited for a friendly dinner.

After the group — consisting of Sai de Silva, Jenna Lyons, Erin Lichy, Ubah Hassan, Racquel Chevremont and Jessel Taank — posed for a photo, one cast member reflected on the group’s bond. (It’s unclear if fellow costar Brynn Whitfield was invited to the dinner.)

“Over the past three years, I’ve learned how to navigate and nurture the unique dynamics of our #RHONY friendship group,” Sai, 44, wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday. “We’re more than just castmates — we’re real-life friends who have bonded through an experience that only we truly understand. I’m eternally grateful to ride this wild journey with these incredible women.”

After one fan questioned Sai if the show was canceled, she replied.

“I’m also confused by everyone being confused,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday. “I was just expressing my gratitude for my castmates who have become close friends. Nothing is canceled. I’m not leaving the show and nothing is wrong. It was purely me showing appreciation for a great group of women. It was a positive post.”

In March, Us Weekly caught up with Raquel, 53, and asked about any plans for season 16. At the time, she had no news to report.

“Everybody’s asking, but I have no clue,” she said at the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. “We just wait and see. I’ll find out probably around the same time you do. I would love to be filming with all the ladies.”

Andy Cohen predicted the cast of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island will recapture the chaotic and volatile spirit of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s table-flipping glory.

“[The Rhode Island cast] are very Italian,” Cohen, 56, told Page Six in an interview published on Wednesday, May 7. “Rhode Island is such a small state, and they all kind of know each other and overlap, and it’s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections. I think it’s going to really surprise people.”

Bravo has yet to confirm casting details — though there have been some suggestions and predictions — but Cohen insisted his team picked impressive Housewives to represent the Ocean State. The Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host acknowledged that the cast “does kind of remind [him] of early Jersey in a weird way.”

Cohen pointed out that the Rhode Island Housewives are “more Italian” than their Jersey counterparts and each have “deep families.” Italian families were represented strongly through the early seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey with its focus on the Giudices, Gorgas and Manzos.

An official Bravo synopsis for The Real Housewives of Rhode Island promised lots of drama “set against the shores of the Ocean State.”

“The Real Housewives franchise expands into the world of a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations,” Bravo teased. “With aspirational lives, thriving businesses and tangled family dynamics, these decade-long friendships prove that in a state this small, there’s no escaping your past … or each other.”

As for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Bravo has taken a longer-than-usual break in filming following the contentious conclusion of season 14. For the first time in the franchise’s history, there was no traditional reunion for RHONJ last year — the alliances within the cast were instead split into two rooms to review footage from the season, with Dolores Catania alternating between rooms to offer commentary.

The RHONJ cast became bitterly divided over the past few seasons, as O.G. cast member Teresa Giudice and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga refused to engage with one another. Us Weekly exclusively reported in February that Bravo had made no decisions about the future of RHONJ — and the series was subsequently missing from the network’s renewal announcements this week, along with The Real Housewives of New York City. (Bravo told Us on Friday, May 9 that RHONY was “not canceled” and no plans are “official.”)

While the future of RHONJ seemingly hangs in the balance, Teresa exclusively told Us Weekly in March that it was “relaxing” to take a break from the show. Her costar Dolores had a completely different take on the reality show’s hiatus.

“At least [when you’re filming] you’re running on the adrenaline of what you have to do and what’s expected of you,” Catania, 54, told Us. “And then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Wait, it’s been a while now since I’ve done that.’ And then it’s, like, you go through a little thing — almost like a breakup.”

She went on, “I feel like a relationship breakup. You take a little break and then you’re like, okay, I want to start going again.”

Teresa’s RHONJ nemesis Margaret Josephs exclusively told Us Weekly in March that she was enjoying “a welcome break” from the drama of shooting the Bravo series.

“It’s relaxing. It’s fun, but, of course, I’d love to go back,” she told Us, before adding, “I love everybody to work and have a successful career. I think some friendships have gone past where they belong. And you know what? If it’s not me [on RHONJ next season], then that’s fine too.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans can rewatch all previous seasons on Peacock. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island doesn’t yet have a Bravo release window.

This weekend, Watch With Us highlights some older movies that just made their Hulu debuts in May.

The first selection is an already forgotten 2025 horror movie that’s surprisingly good, while another pick is a Robert De Niro drama about Navy diving. (Yes, really.)

Last but not least, we recommend a biopic starring Jennifer Lawrence that earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in 2016.

‘The Damned’ (2024)

Hollywood typically releases two kinds of movies in January: cheap horror films and action movies starring Jason Statham or Gerard Butler. The Damned belongs in the former category, a creepy shocker about a small village town driven to desperate measures due to a harsh winter that depletes their food supply. To make matters worse, a shipwreck brings more mouths to feed and rumors of undead creatures called draugr stalking the shore.

Is the village under a supernatural curse? Or is something more sinister at play? Eva (Odessa Young), the film’s main protagonist, needs to find out fast before everyone she loves dies from starvation or something much worse.

Like Lamb and The Lighthouse, The Damned conjures up a spooky atmosphere filled with foggy landscapes and dark corners. The film effectively invokes an existential dread that pays off in its spectacular ending, which is straight out of a M. Night Shyamalan film.

The Damned is streaming on Hulu.

‘Men of Honor’ (2000)

All Carl Brashear (Cuba Gooding Jr.) wants to do is be a diver for the U.S. Navy. That goal may seem modest today but it was almost impossible in 1949, when Carl joined the maritime service branch. But because Carl is Black, he encounters resistance within the establishment, and his only ally is Master Chief Billy Sunday (Robert De Niro). Can Carl and Billy overcome the odds to realize Carl’s dreams of becoming the first Black American Navy diver?

Men of Honor is a solid drama that tells a story most people don’t know about. Carl’s journey from a poor sharecropper in Kentucky to a Navy diver is fascinating, and the film convincingly evokes the 1950s period in full detail. Gooding Jr. gives his best lead performance as Carl, and Charlize Theron has some nice moments as Billy’s ignored wife, Gwen.

Men of Honor is streaming on Hulu.

‘Joy’ (2015)

The world probably didn’t need a biopic about the inventor of the Miracle Mop, but it got one anyway in 2015 with David O. Russell’s Joy. Jennifer Lawrence stars as Joy Mangano, a struggling New Yorker with an unemployed ex-husband (Édgar Ramirez) who still lives in her basement and a family who doesn’t value her as much as she’d like. That soon changes when Joy invents the Miracle Mop, a self-cleaning mop that quickly becomes a bestseller in grocery stores. But family troubles, coupled with a shady manufacturer who wants to steal profits from her, complicate Joy’s life and her path to success.

The pleasure of Joy is in the details. Although the film’s rags-to-QVC-riches story isn’t all that compelling, Joy works better as a gentle dramedy of blue-collar life in 1990s America. Lawrence was nominated for an Oscar for her work here, and she fully deserved it for making Mangano a complicated, sometimes difficult hero to root for. Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro stand out among the film’s unconventional supporting cast, which includes Melissa Rivers playing her mother, Joan Rivers.

Scheana Shay got very emotional while getting candid about her recent struggle with depression.

“I have really just been feeling depressed the last six months. It was something that I kept trying to just mask and say, ‘No, I’m fine. It’ll go away,'” Shay, 40, revealed on the Friday, May 9, episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast. “But it all started around The Masked Singer.”

Shay, 40, recalled having reservations about joining the Fox competition show.

“I got asked to do the show. I immediately was like, ‘Hard pass, absolutely not.’ I didn’t care how much money they’re paying me. I was not going to go on another show on national television just to get made fun of,” she recalled. “This was something that was so far out of my comfort zone. That was so scary to go on a show that’s primetime national television.”

‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast: Then and Now

Shay ultimately chose to participate as The Bat but was eliminated after singing one song: “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter. After her short stint on the show, Shay recalled her mental health taking a turn for the worse.

“I totally had a meltdown in my trailer. I’m like, ‘This is why I didn’t want to do this show. I’m not good enough. I get sent home first. Now everyone’s going to make fun of me,'” she said. “I just wanted to put myself out there.”

Shay didn’t realize at the time that she internalized her issues instead of addressing them, adding, “I just was like, ‘Maybe I up my meds a little bit.’ But then I started grinding my teeth a lot at night. So I’m like, ‘No, I’ll just go back to like 25 mg.’ As if that’s enough Zoloft for anyone. It’s not. I’ve learned that and I’m now at 75 mg and considering 100 mg.”

She continued: “In that time, I was able to talk to my psychiatrist and able to talk to my therapist. Then it’s the holidays. We’re getting into Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and then wildfires across Los Angeles.”

It was one “heavy month” after another for Shay. “It was just a few really heavy months emotionally. Then we’re in March and the show’s airing,” she explained. “Now I really need to focus on what’s been brewing and what’s going on. Because I felt like getting sent home first was part of it — but it couldn’t be all of it.”

Shay came to realize that the changes going on in her life — including her exit from Vanderpump Rules — affected her more than she realized.

“As excited as I am for this new chapter of my life — I got to film The Valley and be with all of my friends this past summer — it filled the void of not filming a season 12,” she said. “But then the show getting rebooted. It’s like, that’s a huge chapter of my life that now is just done. As happy as I was for honestly that chapter to be done, I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s been a huge part of my identity that now is just done.’ A combination of these things just led to me kind of going into a depression.”

The reality star’s decision to speak out was motivated by setting an example for others, adding, “Everything is great but mentally it hasn’t been. I just wanted to open up about that because I feel like you could have everything in the world and still not always feel completely happy. I just wanted to normalize it.”

Jeff Sperbeck’s cause of death has been revealed.

The longtime agent and friend of NFL legend John Elway reportedly died of blunt head trauma, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ on Friday, May 9. His death has been ruled an accident.

Elway, 64, was driving a golf cart carrying Sperbeck, 62, when the agent fell from the cart and suffered traumatic head injuries. The accident occurred at the Madison Club in La Quinta, California on April 26 and Sperbeck died four days later.

“I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the passing of my close friend, business partner and agent Jeff Sperbeck,” Elway said in a statement on April 30. “There are no words to truly express the profound sadness I feel with the sudden loss of someone who has meant so much to me.”

“My heart and deepest sympathies go out to Jeff’s wife, Cori; his children Carly, Sam and Jackson; and everyone who knew and loved him,” the statement continued. “Jeff will be deeply missed for the loyalty, wisdom, friendship and love he brought into my life and the lives of so many others.”

Sperbeck’s family also released a statement expressing their sadness and thanking the community for its support.

“He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, son and friend to many and will be profoundly missed by all,” the statement read. “We are grieving this unimaginable loss as a family alongside our dearest friends the Elways and the many other clients Jeff called friends. We are grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of support that we have received and ask for privacy for our family at this difficult time.”

While law enforcement initially opened an investigation in the days after Sperbeck’s death, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco subsequently told The Denver Post that “nothing that we have found” to indicate law enforcement needed to be involved.

“Unfortunately for all of those involved, one of the people – well, a couple of them – happen to be very high-profile celebrities,” Bianco told the outlet on Friday, May 2. “And that makes this more of an issue than it probably should be.”

In addition to Sperbeck, Elway was transporting his girlfriend, Sperbeck’s wife, Cori, and The Challenge legend Johnny Bananas. Sources told CBS that there was “no swerving or horseplay” and “no one was drunk.”

Elway called 911 after the accident and when paramedics arrived, Sperbeck was reportedly still breathing. He was transported to a hospital and placed on life support before he succumbed to his injuries.

Elway’s professional relationship with Sperbeck dates back to 1990, seven years into the quarterback’s NFL career. The two became close friends during Elway’s playing days and they cofounding wine brand 7Cellars together in 2015.

Schwarzenegger, 31, posted a carousel of pics with Champion, 28, from a recent vacation the two enjoyed in Cancun. He captioned the Thursday, May 8 post, “Fun weekend getaway!!”

The photos showed Schwarzenegger posing with his arm around his fiancée as the two stood on the beach and seemingly got ready to snorkel. They also posed on a boat with Schwarzenegger wrapped around Champion and Champion beaming back at him.

While it’s not clear when exactly the photos were taken, the post was shared on the heels of the Met Gala on Monday, May 5. Us Weekly obtained a photo from the event that shows Schwarzenegger’s ex-girlfriend, Miley Cyrus, walking by him as both smiled, but neither acknowledged the other.

But there’s only so much war one person can take, and Marie’s PTSD threatens to derail her career and her personal life. Can she get the help she needs to cover an important assignment? And even if she does, can she escape death one more time to snap that one perfect shot?

A Private War is a biopic about a subject who is almost too interesting to be true. But Marie Colvin was a real person, and her passion for her work is what makes the movie so fascinating to watch. Pike portrays her as a rational woman who sometimes does irrational things for her art, and her story is both inspirational and cautionary. It’s a terrific performance that wasn’t really recognized at the time, and it deserves more attention and praise all these years later.

‘Funny People’ (2009)

George Simmons (Adam Sandler) is a Hollywood movie star who finds out he has cancer. Convinced he’s going to die, he decides to return to his first love — stand-up comedy. He meets and quickly befriends Ira (Seth Rogen), who is still looking for his big break. Together, the two men will help each other achieve their dreams, but will an unexpected development, plus George’s attempts to win his ex-wife Laura (Leslie Mann) back, get in their way?

Funny People is Sandler in serious mode, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It’s not as weird —or good — as Punch-Drunk Love or Uncut Gems, but it’s far better than Spaceman. Sandler and Rogen are a good comedic duo, and their scenes together are some of the movie’s best. Funny People wasn’t a huge success when it was first released in 2009, but it’s richer and better than most people give it credit for.

‘Little Men’ (2016)

When 13-year-old introvert Jake (Theo Taplitz) moves into a Brooklyn brownstone his dad recently inherited, he gradually befriends fellow tenant Tony (Michael Barbieri), who shares Jake’s age but little else. The two boys become inseparable, but when Jake’s dad, Brian (Greg Kinnear), increases the rent and pressures Tony’s mom to either pay or leave, their relationship becomes strained. Can Jake convince his father to let Tony and his family stay, or will he lose the only friend he’s ever had if Tony leaves?

Little Men is a quiet drama that focuses on the small, everyday problems of New Yorkers just trying to get by. Brian isn’t a villain — he has to increase the building’s rent to fund his son’s education. It’s rare for a movie to focus on the friendship between two teenage boys without devolving into sophomoric humor, but Little Men is a special kind of movie. Rather than go for cheap laughs or obvious insights, the film is more concerned about the complexities of human behavior rather than making any grand statement.

Nelly and Ashanti are giving fans an inside look at their love story with an upcoming reality show.

Peacock announced on Friday, May 9, that an unscripted series titled Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together has been greenlit. The show will follow Nelly, 50, and Ashanti’s journey as they tackle life as a newly married couple.

The press release teased that Nelly and Ashanti, 44, will “reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers.” Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together will also be a “fun-filled exploration of love’s second chances.”

In addition to starring in the show, Nelly and Ashanti will serve as executive producers.

Ashanti and Nelly have a lot of history. The pair were first linked in 2003 after meeting at the Grammy Awards. They dated off and on until 2013. After a decade apart, they rekindled their romance, making it official in October 2023.

Two months later, Us Weekly broke the news that Ashanti was pregnant with her and Nelly’s first child. (Nelly is father to daughter Chanelle, 31, and son Cornell, 26, whom he welcomed with ex Channetta Valentine. He also adopted late sister Jaqueline Donahue’s two children — Sydney, 27, and Shawn, 26, — following her death from cancer in 2005.)

In December 2023, Nelly and Ashanti tied the knot. At the time, Ashanti gushed about how excited she was to embark on this new chapter of her life.

“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope and anticipation,” she told Essence in April 2024. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to.”

Nelly and Ashanti welcomed son Kareem in July 2024. The “Hot in Herre” rapper later confessed that marriage wasn’t on his mind initially but her pregnancy sparked the idea.

“We hadn’t talked about it yet,” Nelly said during a March episode of “The Bootleg Kev” podcast. “We hadn’t talked about any of that yet. Seven months after giving birth, Ashanti surprised Nelly by paying tribute to him while he was honored with the Landmark Award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards in March.

“[Nelly] created a movement, shaped the culture and made history doing it,” Ashanti said of her partner. “I’m so proud to honor Country Grammar and the talented guy who made it!”

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lydia McLaughlin and her family are planning to take legal action following the death of her brother Geoffrey Stirling.

According to attorney James S. Terrell — who is representing McLaughlin, 44, as well as her father Scott Stirling and brother Jesse Stirling — the family is exploring their legal options against the city of Newport Beach and its police department, as well as the officer involved with the shooting.

“All the family wants is to find out what happened to their brother and their son,” Terrell exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 8. “Next thing they want to see is if they can get justice for him and not just for him but for everyone like him and pulled over in a similar situation.”

According to Terrell, the family has already contacted a police policy and practices expert who has reviewed the dash cam footage. They also plan to file a governmental court claim in California in order to bring a lawsuit against the city and police department.

The family has also conducted an independent autopsy, according to attorney Sharon Brunner, who is also working with the Stirling family.

“Initial impressions are that he bled out so we know that is an issue,” Brunner said. “There is concern about if there were shots to his back.”

“The family is totally devastated and totally crushed,” Terrell added. “It’s bigger than this wonderful young man who their family loved. The only way to get what really happened is through the court system.”

On Wednesday, May 7, the Newport Beach Police Department released a criminal incident community briefing video — including body cam footage — detailing the events surrounding an officer-involved shooting that occurred on April 17 with Geoffrey.

“The Newport Beach Police Department remains committed to transparency and accountability in all of its operations,” said the department in a statement. “The release of this video is part of our ongoing efforts to keep the community informed and engaged.”

In the briefing video, Sergeant Steve Oberon explained that an officer-involved shooting occurred after “Mr. Stirling struck the officer several times in the head and then removed the officer’s taser from his duty belt.”

Dash cam footage viewed by Us Weekly showed an officer asking Geoffrey to sit on the curb away from his motorcycle after being pulled over for allegedly running a red light.

“I don’t want to sit down or come here,” Geoffrey replied before trying to reach for his own ID. “Don’t shoot me.”

When the officer appeared to turn his back briefly to get on his radio, Geoffrey seemingly lunged toward him before an altercation between the parties occurred.

At one point, Geoffrey seemingly grabbed the cop’s taser and pointed it at the cop. The officer then shot him six times, according to the Stirling family. Geoffrey was later transported to a hospital where he died at the age of 45.

In the briefing video, Chief Dave Miner shared that with all officer-involved shootings, “an independent agency will conduct their own independent investigation.”

After viewing the body cam footage, Terrell said his clients believe the officer could have handled the situation differently.

“[The officer] already had backup coming to him, [so] why did he go aggressively on him?” Terrell asked. “Escalating it and charging him is not using his skills and tools he’s trained to do. He had help coming, he didn’t need to attack him. There are so many things he could have done.”

Terrell believes the officer could have maced Geoffrey or taken a taser out himself and asked the individual to “stand right there and wait.”

“You can hear a siren, his backup is coming,” Terrell added. “That would have been a good thing to do. They had some dialogue and sometimes that is all you need. Running over to him is escalating. It’s win or lose when you do that, and it’s not a good option. It’s a very bad option.”

“Oversimplifying it would be he didn’t comply and had the taser possibly in his hand and was using it as a threat to the officer,” Brunner continued.

“Based on the first interaction with the officer, [Geoffrey] was not acting normal. The officer clued in something was happening,” she said, adding he called for assistance. “The first one to escalate physical contact was definitely the officer.”

On Sunday, May 4, McLaughlin and her family laid Geoffrey to rest at a private memorial service. The intimate burial service came six months after McLaughlin mourned the death of her mom Judy Stirling from a private battle with cancer.

“ My heart is broken, and the shock still hasn’t settled ,” McLaughlin wrote via Instagram on Monday, May 5. “But even in the sorrow, I cling to what I know is true: God is good. He is in control. I am not. My brother is now with my mom, and I hold onto the promise that one day, we’ll all be reunited. Until then, I will miss them every single day. .”

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers say they plan to accuse his ex-girlfriend Cassie of domestic violence during his sex trafficking trial.

Reuters reported that Diddy’s defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo said during a jury selection hearing in a New York City court on Friday, May 9, that he would attempt to undercut Cassie’s credibility by referring to allegations of mutual violence during her relationship with the mogul. (Diddy and Cassie were together off and on between 2007 and 2018.)

“I think we’re probably going to refer to that as domestic violence,” Agnifilo told the court.

U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian indicated that he would decide next Monday, May 12, whether allegations of domestic violence could be admissible during the trial.

Cassie, 38, is expected to be called by the prosecution to testify as a star witness as Diddy faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking and two counts of transportation for prostitution. Diddy, 55, has denied all allegations.

Cassie’s representatives declined to comment to Us Weekly about Agnifilo’s latest court statements.

In May 2024, CNN aired security camera footage appearing to show Diddy assaulting Cassie (full name Casandra Ventura) at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. Diddy responded to the footage’s release with a public apology.

“It’s difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, sometimes you gotta do that,” Diddy said days after the video’s release. “I was f***ed up. I mean, I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted.”

He continued, “I went and sought out professional help. I’ve been going to therapy, going to rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, with jury selection beginning for his trial in New York City on Monday, May 5. The pretrial hearings have already been eventful, as one prospective juror was dismissed after admitting she’d once fainted after a teacher brought up the topic of oral sex.

The “Coming Home” rapper surprised court observers by appearing at his hearing with a beard and hair that had gone fully gray. While hair dye is not allowed at the Metropolitan Detention Center where Diddy is being held, jury consultant Alan Tuerkheimer told Us Weekly exclusively that Diddy may have deliberately taken on a new look.

“There is no doubt he is letting his hair go gray purposefully,” Tuerkheimer told Us. “The hope is that, given the lascivious nature of some of the alleged acts he participated in, the jury sees a more seasoned and grown-up version of his former self.”

The jury expert also theorized that Diddy’s choice to go gray could be interpreted as a sign of “remorse,” given the serious nature of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges he’s facing.

“It is a way to convey remorse without any kind of admission of fault or wrongdoing,” he added. “This is a more mature and gentler individual. Many of these assessments of a defendant take place subconsciously, as jurors process his entire appearance.”

Several celebrities have been mentioned during the early jury selection process. While some stars mentioned — such as rapper Kanye West, Cassie’s ex-boyfriend Kid Cudi and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard — have personal or professional connections to Diddy, it’s not clear why jurors were asked about their familiarity with former Saturday Night Live star Mike Myers or former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams.

Diddy has been held in a federal detention center in Brooklyn since his arrest last year.

Jury selection for the case is set to be finalized as early as Monday. Judge Subramanian has projected that the trial will last around eight weeks.

Dorit and PK Kemsley’s ongoing divorce just got a bit messier.

PK, 57, filed for joint custody of their two kids — son Jagger, 10, and daughter Phoenix, 8 — on Friday, May 9, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. He also waived his right to spousal support, asking the court to terminate Dorit’s request and asked that both parties pay their own attorney fees. (Page Six was first to report the news.)

Friday’s filing comes exactly two weeks after Dorit, 48, filed for divorce from PK on April 25. Court documents obtained by Us Weekly at the time confirmed that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. She also asked for sole legal and physical custody of their two kids and requested spousal support.

Dorit and PK announced their separation in May 2024, sharing a joint statement on Instagram at the time.

“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage,” they wrote, in part, at the time. “We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together.”

Their decision to split was a focal point of RHOBH season 14, which came to an end last month. While the show was filming, Dorit played coy about pulling the plug on an actual divorce from PK.

At the time, a source told Us Weekly exclusively that Dorit reached her “last straw” before officially filing for divorce. The insider confirmed that her decision was made after PK’s kissing photos went public, however “things were already done” between them.

“Dorit and PK had promised each other if they were to see other people, they would not be so public for the children’s sake,” the source shared. “The divorce was already in the works and after the photos came out, she was ready to file.”

Hilary Duff admits she’s currently “in the thick” of parenting but she’s surviving — and maybe thriving — thanks, in part, to her husband, Matthew Koma.

“Oh, [he’s] the best. Are you kidding?” Duff, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly of Koma, also 37, at the Baby2Baby Mother’s Day Celebration presented by Crate & Kids in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 8.

“My friends in town right now from Toronto, and I haven’t seen her for a year, and we wanted to get a workout in. So I was like, ‘We’re gonna do a 7 a.m. workout. You got the kids?’ And he’s like, ‘I’m on it. I got the kids.’ He packed lunches and made breakfast and got everybody dressed and drove them to school. Like, he’s in it.”

She added of the Winnetka Bowling League singer-songwriter, “He’s so hands-on, and then he’s also my best friend. We get in bed and just download information to each other at night, and it’s for fun. We’re really in the thick of it right now.”

“One of my favorite Mother’s Day[s] I went away with my friends. I had breakfast with my kids in the morning and then we went to Palm Springs, swam and drank wine. And it was lovely. But this Mother’s Day I’m gonna be home. And my husband was like, ‘Is sleeping in the new flowers?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, please don’t spend money on flowers. I don’t need flowers. I want to sleep in. I want a card and I want to go out to a nice lunch.’ And so, I’m sure halfway through the lunch I’ll be like, ‘Why did we try to go out?’ But we’re gonna try. We’re gonna give it a fighting effort.”

Duff gave back to her L.A. community at the Baby2Baby event presented by Crate & Kids — which provided diapers, formula, hygiene products, clothing, groceries and other critical items to mothers and children who were impacted by January’s wildfires. The actress volunteered her time alongside the likes of Jordana Brewster to help distribute basic essentials to families and also shower moms with special gifts including skincare, robes, makeup, flowers, diaper bags and pampering experiences.

“I love Baby2Baby. They do such good work, all over the country — their reach is just so expansive. And the way that they get us involved, it’s just so rewarding, really,” Duff said of the nonprofit organization, which she’s been working with for nearly a decade. “Every time I get a call, I’m like, ‘If I can, I will, of course. I’m there.’ I love working with them. I love that you get to have contact with the actual mothers or families that are affected by whatever is going on. It just puts a lot into perspective and you always leave just feeling like you are so appreciative for your life, and appreciative for what they’re doing and their dedication to helping families.”

Duff was so impressed by all the mothers at the event who lost their homes in the Eaton fire in Southern California, yet still found the strength to keep going for their children and families.

And they’re like, ‘Well, this happened to my whole community,’ and they’re starting to see the light, and it’s really beautiful.”

She added, “I was just talking to someone about [how] you never really get a break when you’re a mom. You know what I mean? These moms have their kids dressed so nicely and they throw their hair up in a clip, and you could tell the mom is the last thought. You know? I’m always covered in stains. I try. I don’t know why I wear nice clothes anymore, but that’s just what it is. It’s not perfect. It’s real.”

“Motherhood is such a community, and it’s a wild ride. I’m grateful to be part of the crew,” Duff insisted.

It was alleged The Hangover actor took the hair loss drug finasteride at one point, according to HuffPost UK. Cooper reportedly felt anxious about a receding hairline, so he took the oral medication to fight it. Since he still has a full head of hair, it seems like it may have worked.

10. Rumer Willis: Actor and model Rumer Willis has experienced some hair loss over the years, too. However, Nutrafol has has been a game-changer. ““I have always had a hard time with my hair in general, but ever since I found Nutrafol, things have gotten a lot better,” she said, according to New Beauty.

“My curls are back, I don’t have [balding] spots on my temples. My overall texture isn’t breaking anymore.”

In the first week of May, Netflix added a lot of movies to its library. The Twilight movies returned to the streamer and instantly entered Netflix’s most popular movies list for the week.

The 2024 comedy hit Beetlejuice Beetlejuice also debuted this week on Netflix after streaming exclusively on Max earlier this year. These movies all have their fans, but there are several films on Netflix that deserve more love and attention.

Among them are a recent action movie that is very similar to a ‘90s Keanu Reeves classic, a 1980s comedy that has just been remade as a limited series and a comic book adaptation starring Tilda Swinton as an androgynous angel.

‘Bullet Train Explosion’ (2025)

Mild-mannered train operator Chika Matsumoto (Non) is good at his job, but his skills are about to be tested when an anonymous caller informs his station that there’s a bomb on his train that will explode if the speed drops below 62 mph. To make matters worse, some of the train’s passengers find out about the bomb, and begin either panicking or live-streaming the drama on board. Can Chika keep the train running — and in one piece — in time for the authorities to find the person behind the bomb threats?

If you think Bullet Train Explosion’s plot sounds awfully familiar, you’re right. The movie is essentially Speed on a Japanese train, and it doesn’t hide it. A lot can be forgiven if a movie is good, though, and Bullet Train Explosion earns its absolution by being a fun, breezy action flick to watch on a lazy afternoon. The movie was briefly one of Netflix’s most popular movies last month, and it’s not hard to understand why.

‘Constantine’ (2005)

When it was released in February 2005, Constantine got a lot of hate, primarily for daring to cast the very dark-haired, very American Keanu Reeves in the title role of the very blond, very British supernatural detective, John Constantine. While Reeves is miscast, that doesn’t really harm the movie, which is still as fun and freaky 20 years later.

A spear that pierced Jesus Christ is being used to unlock the gates of Hell and the only person to stop it is John Constantine (Reeves). But his time on Earth is almost over due to a nasty smoking habit that’s caused him terminal lung cancer. Constantine strikes a deal with the archangel Gabriel (Tilda Swinton) for more time to investigate, but will he find the mysterious person — and save the city — before it’s too late?

Constantine is streaming on Netflix.

‘The Four Seasons’ (1981)

Netflix just released a much-publicized series remake of the 1981 comedy, The Four Seasons, so it’s only fitting that we should recommend it. And there’s plenty to recommend here: a talented cast led by two comedy legends, a visual storytelling that embraces naturalism over glossy production values and a witty script full of tossed-off jokes and observations about love and marriage.

Jason Kelce showed off his recent weight loss during a wardrobe malfunction at the 2025 Truist Championship pro-am. 

Kelce, 37, was shirtless while struggling to put on his polo before his round at Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course on Wednesday, May 7. 

“Good start to the day,” Kelce joked while he finagled the garment in a video via Instagram posted by the PGA Tour. “Classy establishment.”

Once he finally got the shirt over his head, Kelce realized his next error. “It’s backwards,” he said, as those surrounding him broke out in laughter.

On the practice green, somebody told Kelce, “You’ve lost a little weight.”

“I’m trying,” Kelce said, revealing he had trimmed down to 270 pounds after playing at 295 during his NFL career. 

In June 2024, three months after announcing his retirement, Kelce said he had already begun the process of getting leaner.

“Right now, I’m about 277. I’m almost 20 pounds down right now,” Kelce told GQ at the time. “It’s hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my children.”

Since then, Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce, welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley “Finn,” in March 2025. Jason and Kylie, 33, also share daughters Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 2. 

During his pro-am round on Wednesday, Jason told his partner, Irish golfer Shane Lowry, about his full house back at home.

“It’s chaos, but in the best way, though,” Jason said. 

During a candid moment in the midst of their round, Lowry, 38, asked Jason about “retired life.”

“I was talking to Tom Brady at the Super Bowl,” Jason said. “He looked at me [and said], ‘Nothing replaces playing.’”

That might explain why Jason is keen to golf. While walking the course on Wednesday, Jason opened up about a recent Reddit post he made, in which he attempted to source advice about his swing. 

“I thought it would be a fun video to see if Reddit could actually make me a better golfer,” Jason explained. “We’re going to give it 30 days. The main bit of advice so far that almost everybody has told me is that I’m swinging entirely too hard. And then I’m also a heavy over-the-top person through and through.”

Jason also tried getting some suggestions on his swing from PGA star Justin Thomas. 

“I’m trying to get better, man,” Jason told him. “[I’m] heavy over the top, don’t know if you can tell by looking at me.”

Princess Diana was a doting mother to sons Prince William and Prince Harry before her August 1997 death.
