The Rookie boss warned fans that season 7 will put two couples to the test — Chenford a.k.a. Tim Bradford and Lucy Chen, and John Nolan and his wife, Bailey Nune. In other words, we were warned.
According to the season 7 trailer, which Us Weekly exclusively released on Thursday, January 2, the connection between the pair is not gone. But while they share a steamy moment together — a shirtless Tim is involved — the showrunner told TVLine in an interview published on Thursday that Tim isn’t done working through his internal demons.
“At some point we have a scene where he’s at a veterans support group, so he’s still trying to do the work on himself,” Alexi Hawley said of Tim while speaking to the outlet.
Hawley noted that the “good news” is that Tim “understands what he did wrong,” he is just “trying to figure out” the “why.”

“The worst thing he could possibly think to do to himself was to break up with Lucy, and he’s going to figure that fully out, and then also deal with the repercussions of that,” the showrunner explained.
Fans previously got a glimpse at Tim and Lucy’s undeniable love for each other when she saved his life during the season 6 finale. That bond will continue to grow, according to Hawley.

“We really wanted to come into this season with positivity about Tim and Lucy. Obviously, they did do a lot of work, Tim especially, at the end of last season,” he said. “It did feel like they were coming back together in a way that was at least positive.”
Looking forward, Hawley says Chenford will have to ask themselves, “OK, we’re onto the next chapter — what does that look like?”
The TV writer added that their new normal will involve a bet over training the LAPD’s new rookies.
That wager allows The Rookie team to “play [up] the banter” and “the chemistry,” Hawley explained, adding that “it allows us to lean into the competition between them that has been baked into them since the beginning, even when he was her boss, basically.”

Tim hopefully winning Lucy back is just one major romance to keep an eye on in the new season. Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and wife Bailey (Jenna Dewan) received shocking news at the end of season 6: Bailey’s ex-husband, Jason Wyler (Steve Kazee), broke out of prison alongside Oscar Hutchinson (Matthew Glave).
“Jason will ultimately pose the biggest threat in the first half of the season,” Hawley told the outlet. “He is sort of the existential threat because he is a threat to the family, Bailey especially.”
As the first part of the season unfolds, viewers will learn more about “the trauma of Bailey’s relationship with Jason that maybe she hasn’t processed yet, the abusive relationship she was in with this guy,” he continued.

Hawley added: “That percolates up in the fear of the reunion, because part of the drama of the first half of the season is, ‘When is he going to show up?’ And that sense of always being afraid is not healthy, obviously.”
Nolan and Bailey’s past talks about possibly expanding their family through adoption will also “come back” up, per the showrunner. “Without spoiling anything, I don’t know what else to say,” Hawley concluded.

Jessie and D’Lila Combs aren’t letting their father’s legal troubles keep them from enjoying a day at the beach.
Diddy’s twin daughters were photographed wearing matching peach-colored bikinis as they soaked up the sun on the Caribbean island of St. Bart’s, just over a week after their 18th birthday. In one set of photos, the pair could be seen standing together wearing serious expressions in front of a pile of large rocks on the shore. In others, the sisters are seen sitting on a towel on the beach with a friend, appearing to take selfies.
They also posted a carousel of photos to their shared Instagram account on Thursday, January 2, from a luxury yacht near the island. Administrated by France, St. Bart’s is synonymous with luxury and has long been a destination for wealthy and famous travelers. The island is known for its small, ultra-private hotels boasting rooms that can cost thousands of dollars a night.
The siblings have stuck together as their father faces multiple allegations of sexual assault, sex trafficking, racketeering and more. He has denied the allegations, pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains in a Brooklyn prison as he awaits trial in May.
In October 2024, the twins released a statement via Instagram in which they called out what they referred to as “false narratives” surrounding Diddy’s case and said they stand with their father.

On November 4, Diddy’s 55th birthday, all seven of the now-disgraced rapper’s kids made a joint Instagram post showing them singing “Happy Birthday” to their dad over the phone.
“Happy Birthday Pops, we love you! ,” the caption read.
Since then, the Combs twins appear to be doing their best to continue living their lives as normal. They’ve also recently shared photos from their high school homecoming dance and football team’s senior night. The two are cheerleaders at Sierra Canyon, the same high school that produced Bronny James, son of NBA star LeBron James.
They also posted a tribute to their late mom, Kim Porter, on November 15, the six-year anniversary of her death from lobar pneumonia. Combs and Porter split in 2007, a year after the twins were born, but maintained a coparenting relationship until her death.
“We can’t believe it’s been 6 years without you,” they wrote. “We think about you every single second of the day. We love and miss you so much words can’t even explain. We wish you were here with us but we know your spirit will be around forever!! We Love you Mommy.”
Angelina Pivarnick and Vinny Tortorella are facing tough questions from their Jersey Shore family about the state of their relationship.
During the Thursday, January 2, episode of the MTV reality show, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola tried to figure out why the couple couldn’t stop fighting.
“Was there ever infidelity in your relationship?” she asked.
“Me personally? No,” Vinny, 36, shared. “I speak on my own self.”
“Oh my gosh, there is some deep-rooted s— here that we didn’t know about,” Jenni, 38, said in a confessional. “The way Vinny and Angelina are answering Sam’s infidelity question has me shook.”
Deena Nicole also voiced her concerns about what she heard during the tense conversation.
“So maybe one of them did cheat so that makes sense with cameras and wanting to know where everybody is all the time,” she explained. “I don’t know.”
Earlier in the episode, Vinny accused Angelina of locking him out of the house and not allowing him to have a key to her space.
It’s just one of the setbacks Vinny and Angelina have faced in their relationship.
While the pair have publicly expressed plans to have children and start a family before getting married, Angelina got upset when Vinny suddenly expressed fears of having a child.
“A man can have children at 90 but a woman can’t but I ain’tJanet Jackson and I don’t have Janet Jackson money,” she said in the January 2 episode. “They use these fights as a way to cop out of not having a f—ing kid with you.”
When asked if she still loves Vinny, Angelina gathered her thoughts together before answering.
“It’s not that I don’t love him everyday,” she said in a confessional interview. “Lately the things he’s been saying to me, it’s been so heartbreaking and mean. I’m just confused at this point.”
Angelina first revealed her romance with Vinny during a September 2022 episode of the Jersey Shore spinoff. In April 2023, viewers were able to watch Vinny propose to his girlfriend in front of her costars.

Dedicated Bravo fans are likely familiar with Lala and Katie’s various relationship ups and downs documented on the hit reality show. After Lala joined the series in season 4, her and Katie immediately got off on the wrong foot. It took several seasons for the pair to agree to a fresh start regarding their relationship.
By the time Tom Sandoval’s affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss made headlines in 2023, Katie and Lala were thick as thieves. Season 11 of the hit Bravo series started off on a high as most of the cast members were getting along. But by the end of the same season, there were multiple cast member rifts— including the broken friendship between Lala and Katie.
The issues started early for the costars —Lala later revealed she had a falling out with Katie before production kicked off on season 11.
“Right before the reunion of season 10, Katie had gone on a podcast saying, ‘The vibes were off with us,’” Lala shared on her “Give Them Lala” podcast in March 2024. “Something had happened and … we just never came back to where we were.”
Lala didn’t want to give specifics, adding, “It may be talked about [at] some point in time, I don’t know, I’m not going to talk about it today. But I feel like after that happened, we looked at each other differently and we distanced ourselves.”
Katie and Lala briefly worked out their issues, but after a tumultuous conclusion to season 11 Katie admitted she couldn’t see a future friendship with Lala as a friend. Lala, for her part, confirmed she felt the same way.
“We can go over this all the livelong day, it doesn’t matter. What’s done is done,” Lala said on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast in December 2024. “We may be able to rebuild at some point or we may never see each other again. Who the f— knows, right? But I do want her to be happy in her life. She deserves that.”

During a January 2023 episode of her “You’re Gonna Love Me” podcast, Katie admitted that her friendship with Lala was struggling, adding, “Vibes are definitely off.”
Lala replied on her own podcast one year later by confirming an offscreen falling out. “So many people asked about [Katie]. So of course, I was like, ‘Why are people asking this?’ Well, now I know that someone asked Katie this on her podcast, and she said, ‘The vibes are definitely off.’ So I guess the vibes are definitely off,” she said in March 2024 about the rift that formed before the season 10 reunion in 2023.
At the time, Lala noted that she and Katie are “at a different place now.”
“There was just never a resolution,” Lala explained. “It was one thing after the other that we just could not quite conquer and see eye to eye. As the season goes on though, you’ll see that we soften up with each other.”
Lala exclusively told Us Weekly before season 11 aired in 2024 that she had a “rocky” season with Katie.
“We have a rocky season, and it was extremely hard and sad. Especially because we were just ride-or-die season 10. That made me sad, but we’re good,” she noted. “[I enjoy having] friendships where we can have ups and downs and then find common ground. I don’t want to always agree, I want to be able to evolve with you. I want you to teach me something about myself.”
“I found out about that through a post on Instagram,” Katie told Us. “Lala and I over a year ago had went through some stuff and I thought we repaired [it]. Then, this past season you see on the show, we kind of got into some spats. We were like, ‘I feel like we were not seeing eye to eye on a lot of things.’ And I am not entirely sure. I don’t really know what to say about it.”
Airing Out Their Issues

As season 11 continued to air, Lala admitted that Ariana played a part in her divide with Katie.
“I think we were at odds because from my point of view, she was not very honest this season. I don’t recognize that Katie [because] the reason why she and I really freaking connect is because we are no bulls—,” Lala explained on the Vanderpump Rules After Show in May 2024. “You may not like what comes out of our mouths, it may be harsh or aggressive, but this is what it is.”
Lala even quoted what Katie allegedly told her about her issues with Ariana.
“She was getting annoyed like, ‘I’m the only one doing things for this sandwich show. Where is she? She’s always late on her half of the rent. She’s dropping the ball,'” Lala claimed. “She was very worried about rocking the boat after she invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into this restaurant and her business partner is Ariana. I can’t say I wouldn’t feel the same way. I probably would. She had opinions. You can have opinions and still have Ariana’s back.”
“I’m someone who has suffered from imposter syndrome for as long as I have known myself. Hence why I was apprehensive about opening the sandwich shop on my own,” she wrote via Instagram Stories in May 2024. “So when Ariana was going through not only a world of hurt but also getting some amazing opportunities, that changed a lot of things during a pivotal time. I was extremely sensitive to what she was going through but also very supportive.”
Katie denied Lala’s comments about Ariana abandoning her, adding, “I was dealing with immense insecurity about what I could take on and simply didn’t want to put that on her. I had an emotional response that didn’t feel appropriate bringing to her front door so I went to where I felt safe. Or where I thought I felt safe.”
While Katie and Ariana were able to work out their issues, the same couldn’t be said for Katie and Lala. “To know me is to know I value trust, loyalty and integrity,” Katie concluded.
In addition to questioning Katie, Lala also took digs at her friendship with Ariana, saying on a June 2024 episode of the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, “Trauma bonds run deep. I’ve had trauma bonds before and they are thick, but neither of you better get over the trauma. Because once you start healing, [that] bond is over.”
Cutting Ties
Katie called out Lala’s attempt to resurface old drama on screen — specifically her miscommunication with Ariana — during the season 11 reunion of Vanderpump Rules. She later elaborated on why she didn’t see herself getting to a good place with Lala again.
“I felt like obviously she had been harboring certain feelings and thinking certain things that I didn’t know she had felt. And so she was saving them for the reunion, which I didn’t feel like was super authentic,” Katie said on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast in July 2024. “To sit there and be called an inauthentic person or fake. But meanwhile, I’m sitting next to somebody who I thought I knew and knew very well and was open and honest with me but had been feeling a certain way about me for a very long time. That was shocking.”
“Once you violate my trust like that, it’s very hard to come back from. Trust is the most important thing to me. And when you try to manipulate me with that and use it against me and say we talked about these things,” she continued. “Those weren’t the kind of conversations that were meant for the camera. Not everything is. … I’m allowed to have some kind of privacy and talk about emotions with people. I do with my mom, I do with other friends.”
During the podcast appearance, Katie was asked whether she thought Lala revealed their private conversations because she was getting too much backlash from the public, to which she quipped, “Would you say [she was] living in the comment section?” (The response was a reference to Lala’s reunion claims that their costars — such as James Kennedy and Scheana Shay — were behaving based on how they thought Bravo fans wanted them to.)

After season 11 came to an end, Lala reflected on the close bond she had with Katie.
“They all have a really special place in my heart. I had a really fun time with Ariana when I first was on the show. Katie, my friendship with her [during] season 10, I thought that that friendship was really on point,” she noted on her podcast. “When I think back, I’m like, ‘Wow, even though it was a hard time in my life, that friendship really got me through a tough time in my life.’”
“Katie and I were very close. I don’t think now we have anything in common and that’s OK,” Lala claimed. “I don’t even know what we would talk about [now]. We’re just in such different places and I think that friendship was meant to be the way it was for the time being.”
Later in the episode, Lala argued that her connection with Katie “ran its course,” adding, “I think that that’s totally OK. I have nothing but fond memories of that friendship. I have nothing but fond memories of the friendship I had with Ariana and Doute. But people change and move on.”
She concluded: “There’s not a lot to talk about anymore — and we’re just in different stages of life. So no matter why we fell off, I don’t really give a s—. What I do know is the time that we had together, I really enjoyed. And I wish them all the best.”
Bravo initially hit pause on filming season 12 of Vanderpump Rules due to ongoing tension between the cast. The decision eventually was reversed and filming resumed, but with an entirely new cast.Lala subsequently offered an update on where she stands with Katie now that the cameras have moved on from the OG cast for good.
“It was the strangest season that I’ve ever been a part of. It was all very sad. And Katie and I have two very different viewpoints on what happened and the demise of our friendship,” Lala said on the December 2024 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. “She sees it one way, and I don’t like that I was painted to be someone who pockets information and brings it out at a convenient time. Because that’s not what happened.”
Justin Baldoni’s lawyer is speaking out amid the actor’s drama with It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively. Confirming that Baldoni, 40, “absolutely” has plans to countersue Lively, 37, attorney Bryan Freedman told NBC News’ Liz Kreutz in a new interview that Baldoni had no intentions of coordinating a smear campaign against the actress despite her allegations otherwise. “One hundred percent no,” Freedman claimed. “Justin Baldoni, from the get-go, said, ‘I don’t want to do anything negative toward her. Polish ski jumper Andrzej Stękała came out as gay following the death of his longtime partner, Damian.
Stękała, 29 — a member of the Polish national team and bronze medalist at the 2020 Ski Flying World Championships — shared a slideshow of photos and videos via Instagram from the duration of their relationship alongside his heartfelt message.
“I want you all to know the real me. I am gay,” Stękała wrote in the Wednesday, January 1 post. “For years I’ve hidden this from the world — from you, from the media, and sometimes even from myself.”
He continued, “In 2016, I met the person who changed my life. He’s been my rock, my support, my biggest supporter. Together we shared life, passions, joys and difficult moments. He was my everything, my home, my heart. We loved in silence, hiding our love from the world to protect what was most important to us.”
“I can’t describe the pain I’ve felt,” he wrote. “The world we built together fell into pieces. Everyday without him is a struggle, but also a reminder of how endlessly I loved and how deeply I was loved.”
With the turning of the calendar, Stękała vowed to enter “a new chapter.”
“I don’t want to hide who I am anymore,” he shared. “I am myself — a man who loved and still loves. And I know that he would want me to continue living in peace with myself.”
Stękała added, “Please understand and respect. My story is a tale of love that deserves light, not shadow.”

David and Victoria Beckham’s son Cruz Beckham was first romantically linked to songwriter Jackie Apostel when they were 19 and 29, respectively.
Cruz and Apostel have been together since 2024 and appear to have the approval of his famous family. In September 2024, Apostel joined Cruz at Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week presentation for her eponymous fashion label.
Cruz is the youngest son of David and Victoria, who have been married since 1999. They also share sons Brooklyn, born in 1999, and Romeo, born in 2002, and daughter Harper, born in 2011. The famous couple have been candid about the experience of watching their children enter the dating scene.
“We’re being strong parents and strict parents,” David told Entertainment Tonightin January 2016. “We love our kids and we want what’s best for them, so we’ll see. [Harper] will definitely be different.”
David also gives his kids advice about relationships directly. Brooklyn once told Us Weekly what he gleaned from the retired soccer star before marrying Nicola Peltz Beckham.
“My dad was just always [like] look, ‘Just always treat her like a princess,’” Brooklyn told Us in September 2023. “‘Just talk and have fun. Enjoy each other and just work and do you guys’ thing.’”

Cruz brought his girlfriend to Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show, where they sat in the front row with David, Brooklyn, Romeo and Harper. Apostel even wore a custom dress designed by the former Spice Girl.
“The most beautiful show and the most beautiful dress. Congratulations @victoriabeckham,” Apostel gushed via Instagram, referring to her white halter gown.
Cruz took their relationship Instagram official when he included a snap of Apostel in an October 25 photo round-up. Victoria even “liked” the upload.
Apostel returned the favor that same month, dropping a pic with Cruz from Victoria’s September show in a carousel except their heads were cropped out of the frame.

Cruz and Apostel rang in the New Year in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and shared a slew of Instagram photos to commemorate the occasion.
“1.1!!” she wrote at the time, sharing a pic while cuddling Cruz during a firework display.
Cruz, for his part, captioned his holiday photo dump, “So 2025 is going to be good, right? .”
It’s been more than 10 years since Zendaya competed on Dancing With the Stars, but she’s still upset about her season’s final results.
The actress, 28, famously competed on season 16 of the ABC competition series in 2013. After a season full of high scores, she and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, ultimately lost to Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough.
“Listen, I’m still harboring a little animosity about that,” Zendaya told W Magazine in an interview published on Friday, January 3. “I felt that loss. I was only 16 years old, and it was highly stressful.”
Competing on live television every week was something Zendaya told the outlet was “so scary,” adding, “I took it very seriously, which, in retrospect, I wish I didn’t. I wish I’d enjoyed it a little bit more and just was like, ‘Eh, whatever.’ You know what I mean? But I was stressing myself out. I really went through it on that [show].”
Zendaya went on to note that these days, she doesn’t watch DWTS despite being on it. She first made the revelation in an interview on “The Awardist” podcast last year, sharing that she hasn’t tuned in since her season.
“I have not watched Dancing With the Stars since I was on [it],” she said in October 2024. “I didn’t really watch Dancing With the Stars before I was on Dancing With the Stars. I don’t think I was the target demographic. My grandma, like, loves Dancing With the Stars. That’s her bag.”
She continued: “I also think it was a very stressful experience. I was like, ‘I don’t think I’m gonna be watching this anymore.’”

Zendaya’s upset over season 16’s results is something she shares with Chmerkovskiy, 38, who has since gone on to win the mirrorball trophy three times with past partners Rumer Willis, Laurie Hernandez and Xochitl Gomez.
“My biggest heartbreak was on Dancing With the Stars, not winning with Zendaya, honestly. That was a huge heartbreak for me because she was 16,” he told Entertainment Tonight in March 2018. “I wanted this to be such a huge moment for her. She worked so hard, and I really wanted her to lift that trophy and jump-start her career. And she didn’t lift the trophy and I felt heartbroken about that.”
Luckily, as Chmerkovskiy put it, Zendaya’s time on DWTS “jump-started her career.” He added: “That’s when you learn that it’s not necessarily always about winning or losing, it’s really about learning through the process and then using those tools to further yourself down the road.”
Prior to DWTS, Zendaya was best known for her roles on Disney Channel’s Shake It Up. In the decade since, she has become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars with projects such as The Greatest Showman, Challengers, the Dune series and the Spider-Man franchise.
Back in 2020, Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram to congratulate Zendaya on becoming the youngest actress to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria (an award she also took home in 2022).
“I always knew you were special. Our season on DWTS, and now your continued success since has brought me [a] ridiculous amount of joy,” he captioned a clip of one of their performances. “I’m so proud of you Z! Youngest ever winner of an Emmy for a leading role. You’re a superstar, and always have been! Love you fam to many more wins in your life.”

Some QVC shoppers can’t help but make a connection with some of the network’s products — and hosts.
Over the years, viewers have developed close bonds with longtime program hosts who have a gift of selling everything from fashion and beauty products to food and electronics.
Every so often, some of the program hosts decide to step away from the network to retire, spend more time with family or simply try something new.
In December 2024, Jennifer Coffey and Kerstin Lindquist both announced they would be leaving QVC after both serving 13 years as program hosts.
“It’s time for me to have more time for my teens & family,” Lindquist shared via Instagram. “It’s time for God to make a greater impact through me by focusing on faith & wellness in women’s lives.”
As for Coffey, she vowed to keep dreaming after her final show aired on December 31, 2024.
“My entire purpose over these last 13 years has been to inspire,” she said in her farewell celebration. “Whatever your dream is, you are meant to have that dream come true.”

Lisa Robertson

After 20 years with the network, Robertson said goodbye to QVC in December 2014. “It is time for a new challenge and a new adventure,” she wrote via a blog post. “Although it is a little scary to leave what you have always known, I am very excited about what lays ahead.”
After leaving the network, Robertson spent many years working on her own online boutique. In November 2023, however, Robertson announced the business was coming to an end so she could retire and make more memories with her family, including husband Jeff Lawrence.
Kathy Levine

One of QVC’s original and most beloved former hosts returned to the shopping network in May 2022 after nearly two decades away. Levine returned as a guest with her own line within QVC’s iconic simulated diamond brand, Diamonique.
Her jewelry has become so popular that Levine continues to be a familiar guest during fashion and accessory shows.
Carolyn Gracie

In March 2023, Gracie announced she was leaving QVC after 19 years. “You won’t want to miss all the fun with pets, gardening, RVing and so much more!” she teased via Facebook when announcing her exit. “Let’s make sure we stay friends for life.”
Gracie has since returned to QVC with her Girl Next Door collection for gardeners of all levels. She has also remained in touch with her former QVC host Dan Hughes, who also left the network around the same time.

Following 13 years on QVC, Coffey hosted a farewell celebration in December 2024. “We close out one chapter and begin another,” she wrote via Instagram when announcing her departure. “I can’t wait to hear about your new adventures as I share mine with you too. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got Big Plans and I want to watch and support you as you work on yours. We got this.”
Dan Wheeler
In December 2019, Wheeler officially retired and had his final QVC show as a program host. Although he briefly returned to the shopping network to serve as a brand representative for the NFL, Wheeler spends most of his free time with family and checks in with his fans via Facebook thanks to his Morning Cup of Inspiration videos through Fearless Faith.

After 25 years as a QVC program host, Bauer had her final show in June 2019. Since then, she has become a lifestyle expert for the Today show and served as a brand ambassador for Drew and Jonathan Scott’s QVC line. Most recently, she has continued showcasing her love for jewelry by being a brand representative for JAI Jewelry on QVC.
Antonella Nester
In July 2020, Nester revealed she was leaving the network after 18 years. She has since continued to sell jewelry online and keeps fans updated on her life through Facebook.
In a video update from January 2024, Nester shared an update on her health and revealed she was cancer-free for two years after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
After leaving QVC as a program host, Shore chose to spend more time with her two daughters and her husband who serves as a pastor. After a brief break from TV, however, Shore returned to QVC to serve as a brand representative for Mrs. Prindable’s Gourmet Apples.
Stacey Stauffer

While serving as a QVC program host, Stauffer whipped up her favorite recipes during her weekly show Step by Step Cooking with Stacey. When she left the network, however, the foodie became a brand ambassador for kitchen essential companies like California Innovations, LonoLife bone broth and more.
Gabrielle Kerr
Since leaving QVC in 2020, Kerr has continued to share fashion and beauty trends on TV programs like CBS Mornings and Lug Live. In her free time, the host is spending time with her family, trying new foods or collecting stamps on her passport.
After months of fans wondering if season 20 would be its last, it was announced in October 2024 that the long-running fashion design competition will return to the small screen. But instead of airing on Bravo, like it has since 2017, Project Runway will air on the Disney-owned Freeform network in 2025, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Freeform announced it closed a deal with Spyglass Media Group to bring the series back for another 10-episode season, which will air on the network then stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
“Project Runway is an iconic television juggernaut that perfectly complements the pop-culture spirit at Freeform,” Simran Sethi, president, scripted programming, Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, said in a statement at the time.
Gary Barber, chairman and CEO of Spyglass, said, “For 20 seasons, Project Runway has captured viewers’ attention and cultivated a loyal following. The series has proven to be a valuable and enduring brand worldwide, and we could not be more excited to broaden the show’s breadth of viewership within the Freeform, Hulu and Disney+ ecosystem.”

Who Are the Hosts of ‘Project Runway’ Season 21?

Us Weekly confirmed in January 2024 that Heidi Klum would be returning to the show as a host after an eight-year hiatus.
The series, which premiered on Bravo in 2004, was originally hosted by Klum for its first 16 seasons, with Tim Gunn serving as the designers’ mentor. The pair exited the series in 2018 to host Amazon Prime’s fashion competition show, Making the Cut.
Supermodel Karlie Kloss took over hosting duties for season 17 and 18, while season 4 winner Christian Siriano served as a mentor. Seasons 19 and 20 saw Siriano serve as both host and mentor of the competition show.
Siriano got his big break after winning Project Runway in 2007 when he was only 21 years old. He has since famously dressed A-listers like Ashley Graham, Angela Bassett, Kelly Ripa, Janelle Monáe, Kate Hudson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Mariska Hargitay and more.
Who Will Serve as Judges on Season 21 of ‘Project Runway’?

‘Project Runway’ Season 21 Release Date
Though an exact release date has yet to be revealed, fans can expect the series to air sometime in 2025.
Us Weekly can confirm that the 51-year-old model will be returning to her roots as the show’s host for the first time in eight years. (People was first to report the news on Friday, January 3.)
Klum previously hosted the reality competition show alongside Tim Gunn from the show’s inception in 2004 before stepping away from the series in 2017.
Project Runway premiered on Bravo in 2004, where the hit show lived for the first five seasons. The show moved to Lifetime until 2017, when Bravo picked the series back up once again. The most recent season of the show aired in 2023 as an “All Star” season that crowned winnerBishme Cromartie.
After a year with no new Project Runway episodes, it was announced in November 2024 that the fan-favorite series had moved to Freeform for the forthcoming 21st season. The network announced that a 10-episode season was set to premiere this year to “refresh one of television’s most successful reality competition series, making more dreams for aspiring fashion designers come true,” according to a press release.

The show follows a group of budding fashion designers as they compete against each other in weekly challenges. After completing their looks, the designers dress models who help them showcase their weekly creations on a runway for a panel of judges, who have yet to be announced.
The most recent crop of Project Runway judges included Nina Garcia, designer Brandon Maxwell, and former editor-in-chief of Teen VogueElaine Welteroth. (Karlie Kloss hosted the show with Project Runway winner and designer Christian Siriano acting as a mentor for contestants.)
“I can see how they are going to change it, because it needed some change. After 16 seasons, it was becoming stale. I’m excited to see how it will progress,” Klum told People in October 2018 of the show’s new cast. “I’m looking forward to how they make the show their own!”
Klum’s return to Project Runway comes years after she and Gunn, 71, left the show for Prime Video’s Making the Cut.
“We wanted to do a show that’s not just for the audience to see, but also to shop and to have and to go into the real world,” Klum told Variety in 2020, when comparing the two competition series. “That is something that we were never able to do and it’s one of the most important components. … This is no longer a sewing competition. We’re looking for a great brand, so they have to have a business mindset along with their creativity.”
Klum starred alongside Gunn in Making the Cut on Prime Video for three seasons from 2020 to 2022.
Even celebrity chefs likeRachael Ray can experience all-too-relatable mishaps in the kitchen.
Ray, 56, uploaded a cooking video for her TikTok followers on Thursday, January 2, in which she put a handful of ingredients in a food processor.
“Once you put the cheese into this mixture, it tends to make it white and cloudy and hard to navigate,” Ray said, fiddling with the device lid. “You know what else is hard to navigate? Turning on a new food processor.”
Ray then called for her husband, John Cusimano, to assist.
“John flying in from the director’s chair!” she quipped. “Mic’d or not, can you just fix the food processor, please? Make it go. ‘Make it go,’ that’s my broken English way of saying, ‘Please make it work.’ Let’s see how long it takes John to figure it out.”
The video then sped up as Cusimano, 57, fiddled with the food processor and the accompanying cord. Ray tried to help, pointing out different ways to fix the situation to no avail.
“This is turning into a party joke: How many people does it take to make the Cuisinart work?” she added. “Did we even check that it was plugged in?”
While Cusimano was certain that the processor was indeed plugged in, Ray continued to double-check two more times, just “to be sure.”
“No reason for that not to be working,” she said with a laugh after Cusimano plugged the processor back into an outlet. “Can you believe I have a cooking show?”
Once Cusimano finally got the processor to work, Ray corrected the buttons he pressed.
“No, pulse, pulse, pulse, pulse,” Ray said. “Now, John, take the lid off and add a cup of this.”
Cusimano, however, jokingly lamented potentially removing the lid when “it took [him] all episode” to successfully secure it on the processor.
Ray has been married to Cusimano, who helps run her vast lifestyle empire, since 2005.
“One of the things that, I think, has been essential to my life and my success over the years has been the partner that I chose,” Ray gushed on a November 2024 episode of her “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” podcast. “I love my husband, John, and [he] works with me and has built our business and our brand together.”
She added at the time, “My husband and I didn’t get married until very late in life [at] 37 and 38 years old, but it was very important to me that I marry him because I thought this person could be a true partner in what I believe in and helping people.”
Cusimano mostly stays behind the scenes during filming, but occasionally helps Ray in the kitchen. She told Us Weekly last month how Cusimano “contributes a ton” to holiday meals.
“I always task him with making the eggnog from scratch,” Ray exclusively told Us in December 2024. “He has a killer recipe where he froths skim milk and then shakes in cardamom, cinnamon, rum and an egg. It’s lighter than a store-bought eggnog but just as delicious.”
Kelly Stafford vulnerably acknowledged the negative toll social media has recently taken on her mental health.
Stafford, 34, made the candid admission while discussing New Year’s resolutions on the Thursday, January 2 episode of her podcast “The Morning After.”
“I want to get off social media so bad. I don’t want to be on it anymore. It’s honestly giving me depressing thoughts,” Kelly said, while audibly fighting back tears. “But in the work that we are in, that’s not really an option.”
Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, explained being active on social media is crucial to the success of her podcast, but she said comments about her appearance have forced her to seriously weigh the pros and cons.
“I’m human,” Kelly noted. “I post something about a game or something and either I need to wear more makeup or now I am looking like I had plastic surgery because I actually had time to do my makeup and I did it because I felt like I needed to.”
Kelly joked, “ I’ll be the first one to tell you when I get a facelift and I’ll tell you where the doctor I go to is.”
“I’m old,” she added. “This should not be happening. It is very, very scary to raise four girls in a world where opinions of people you’ve never met matter to you.”

“I’m not going to tell people that I’m going to have tougher skin, because I’m not,” Kelly said. “I’m a woman in my 30s and I have feelings. But I am going to try and do a better job of remembering that clearly people who are commenting certain things are unhappy with situations in their own life.”
Kelly admitted bluntly, “If people are setting out to hurt me with comments, congratulations. You have done it.”
Furthermore, Kelly explained how her husband has begun noticing the negative impact social media is having on her well-being.
“This has been a back-and-forth with Matthew, too, because he can see it,” she said. “I put down the phone, he knows immediately. ‘What did someone say?’ That’s a problem because I’m carrying it way past just putting my phone down. It is in my mind, it is in my heart. I am trying to do my best to fix that.”
Kelly issued a plea to any podcast listeners who might be the ones responsible for the vitriolic attacks being spewn online.
“I do want to make it aware that if you’re listening to this and you’re a person … God, I’m sorry,” she said as her voice began to crack. “And you’re one of those people that comments horrible things on anyone’s Instagrams, just stop. It’s hurtful. You never know what something you could say could do to someone. So just stop.”
Ultimately, Kelly said her resolution for the year is “to every day remind myself that the people who matter, those are the opinions that matter to me.”

Peacock’s Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy is the latest scripted series centered around a prolific serial killer.
According to the show’s synopsis, the limited TV series “peels back the twisted layers of John Wayne Gacy‘s life while weaving in the heartrending stories of his mostly gay victims.” Devil in Disguise is focused on “exploring the grief, guilt, and trauma of their families and friends and exposing the systemic failures, missed opportunities and societal prejudices that fueled his reign of terror.”
“From 1972 to 1978, 33 young men were kidnapped, murdered and buried in a crawl space beneath their killer’s house. And no one was the wiser,” a press release read. “Not for all those years. Why? He was charming and funny. Had a good, All-American job. Was a community leader. He even volunteered to entertain sick kids … while dressed as a clown.”
The scripted series is inspired by Peacock’s 2021 docuseries of the same name — one of several TV shows that focuses on notorious true crimes, including Ryan Murphy‘s Monsters about Erik Menéndez and Lyle Menéndez and Paramount+’s untitled series about JonBenét Ramsey.

The limited series makes an effort to focus on Gacy’s victims — something other shows centered around notorious murderers have been chastised for allegedly ignoring. Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy is expected to address the trauma inflicted on the victims’ families and in addition to questions about investigative missteps and systemic failures that led to Gacy evading the law for so long.

In 2021, Peacock released a six-part series titled John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise, which contained an audio recording of Gacy and exclusive interviews with people who knew him.
“If there are more victims out there and they could be connected to him, it would give resolution to any families who are still searching for answers,” executive producer Alexa Danner said at the time about the docuseries.
Zachery Ty Bryan has faced major ups and downs over the years after becoming a household name.
Bryan got his big break when he was cast as Brad Taylor on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement. The show, which ran from 1991 to 1999, also starred Tim Allen, Patricia Richardson, Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Taran Noah Smith.
“If you star in a TV show today, you can be in any film that you want, but back then, it was the polar opposite,” Bryan told The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023. “You were stigmatized as a TV star, and no matter how good your audition, you were never going to be taken seriously. But I kept at it.”
Bryan found it “really difficult” to find stability after Home Improvement wrapped, adding, “On the same token, you might get turned down on a bunch of projects, but you could go out at night and hang out with your buddies at Mel’s Diner and everybody knows you.”
After pivoting from acting to producing, Bryan was involved in projects including Prowl, Rogue River and The Grief Tourist. His legal woes have overshadowed his post-Home Improvement career.
In October 2020, Bryan was arrested for allegedly strangling his partner Johnnie Faye Cartwright. Us Weekly confirmed that Bryan agreed to a plea deal in the domestic violence case, agreeing to plead guilty to menacing and fourth-degree assault.
“We got really loud. We were screaming and because we were in a townhome that had [thin walls], everybody could hear,” he told THR in June 2023, alleging that he and Cartwright didn’t “even really get that physical” before he was arrested. “At the end of the day, [the police] throw a bunch of counts at you because they ultimately want you to plead to something. I could’ve fought it — but that’s more stress and drama.”
While reflecting on his personal struggles, Bryan said he considered it all a lesson. “I do know when things get in the way of who you’re meant to be, where you’re supposed to go and what God has planned for you,” he continued at the time. “He sometimes challenges you to do some reflecting by looking in the mirror and taking responsibility.”
Bryan has since been charged several more times for domestic violence and a DUI.

1990s

After being raised by his parents in Denver, Bryan started acting by appearing in local print and TV ads. He later appeared at a showcase in New York City, which caught the eye of a talent rep that convinced Bryan and his family to move to California. Bryan was subsequently cast as the oldest Taylor child on Home Improvement.
“Obviously, my life flipped upside down and everywhere you go, people know who you are, but I give a lot of credit to my dad and my mom because they always kept me grounded,” Bryan told THR in June 2023 while calling his time on the sitcom as “some of the best days” of his life.
Early 2000s
Bryan remained a consistent onscreen presence with roles on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Boston Public, Family Law, Center of the Universe and Veronica Mars. After appearing in several 2009 projects including Meteor and THOR: Hammer of the Gods, Bryan took a break from being in front of the camera and became a producer on multiple films.
2007-2020
While attending La Cañada High School, Bryan met and started dating Carly Matros. The couple, who tied the knot in 2007, expanded their family with twin girls in 2014. Matros gave birth to their third daughter in 2016 and a son in 2019. Following 13 years of marriage, Bryan and Matros called it quits in 2020.
Bryan entered a guilty plea after being booked for a DUI. He was sentenced to five years of probation and 18 months of a multiple-offender alcohol program due to a past record of DUI arrests.

Bryan’s legal issues continued when he was arrested for allegedly strangling Cartwright, who he started dating after his divorce from Matros. He received three years of probation, which included attending a violence intervention program called Bridges2Safety. As part of the deal, prosecutors agreed to drop six other charges against him, including strangulation and coercion.
2021-2022
In the aftermath of his arrest, Bryan and Cartwright stayed together and got engaged in November 2021. The pair have since welcomed three kids. He made a TV comeback in Netflix’s 2022 series The Guardians of Justice.
June 2023
In a profile about Bryan, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that he was accused of running a fraudulent agriculture-technology startup scheme. Several sources told the publication that Bryan would allegedly take individual payments ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 in exchange for fake contracts. Bryan was accused of earning close to $50,000 from the scheme.
Bryan told THR he was not “running some shady scam deal” and claimed he was in “in the same boat” as his investors. He also addressed his past arrests, which he called a “learning experience,” adding, “I thank God for that. I went through a situation that I’m sure plenty of people across the globe experience with their partners.”
He maintained that he was still in a relationship with Cartwright, who declined to provide a statement at the time.
One month after the tell-all interview, Bryan was arrested in Eugene, Oregon, following an alleged physical domestic dispute with a woman. He was charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor — assault, robbery and harassment.
Instead of spending 19 to 20 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections, Bryan received a “downward dispositional departure” to 36 months of supervised probation, seven days in jail and he had to abide by a set of conditions typical of domestic violence cases.
Cartwright, meanwhile, broke her silence on Bryan’s legal troubles, telling Us in August 2023, “Trauma can bring struggles in many shapes and forms. It’s a horrible situation that’s going to be spun in so many ways. I’ve learned firsthand the truth will never align with what’s been put out there.”
She continued: “I ask everyone to please be respectful of our privacy for the sake of the children and our families so the healing process can begin.”
February 2024
Bryan was arrested for a suspected DUI with three or more priors. According to court documents obtained by Us, Bryan was booked by the La Quinta Police Department for contempt of court as well after he was pulled over at a traffic stop.
A spokesperson told TMZ that the authorities stopped Bryan’s vehicle at 2 A.M. because he was suspected of being involved in a traffic collision. Bryan allegedly showed signs of impairment, which led to his arrest. His next court date was set for April 2024.
TMZ reported in March 2024 that Bryan was charged with a felony after the arrest. He is facing additional charges due to having a DUI conviction within the last 10 years and this is Bryan’s fourth DUI charge. He is also facing a misdemeanor charge of a hit and run and property damage.
January 2025

Us confirmed Bryan was arrested and booked for second-degree domestic violence in South Carolina on January 2. Law enforcement told TMZ that Myrtle Beach officers responded to a residence for a domestic issue.
Police determined that Bryan had gotten into a physical altercation and he was subsequently arrested. Bryan is currently incarcerated and a bond has been set at $10,000.
“I think the Blake Lively–Justin Baldonithing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be,” Glaser, 40, told Yahoo! Entertainment on Thursday, January 2. “I also don’t want to give his name any [weight].”
She added, “I’m mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don’t need to say it anymore.”
Lively, 37, named Baldoni, 40, in a December 2024 lawsuit, accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a “hostile work environment” while filming 2024’s It Ends With Us. Lively also claimed that Baldoni caused her “severe emotional distress” and tried to mount a “social manipulation” campaign to destroy her reputation in an alleged attempt to protect his own image.
“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively told Us Weekly in a statement last month.

Baldoni vehemently denies the accusations and has since filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for libel and false light invasion of privacy. He is also reportedly planning to file a separate suit against Lively.
“We plan to release every single text message between the two of them. We want the truth to be out there,” Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told NBC News on Thursday. “We want the documents to be out there. We want people to make their determination based on receipts.”
Lively and Baldoni’s legal battle inspired a number of Hollywood stars, including Kate Beckinsale and Abigail Breslin, to come forward with their own stories of alleged misconduct in the industry.
Glaser, however, does not plan to include any controversial hot takes in her opening monologue on Sunday.
“There are certain people we all know who don’t have a sense of humor about themselves, and if I were to make that person laugh, it shows the people in the room, ‘OK, it’s safe to laugh,’” the comedian told Variety on Thursday. “I had a joke that I don’t think is going to make the final monologue: ‘The camera is going to be on you. Pro tip: Just laugh. It’s a really good way for the audience at home to like you.’”
Glaser added, “I don’t understand why publicists haven’t told them this. When you laugh at a joke about yourself, it makes you look so friendly, so cool, so personable. I’m trying to help you out. This way you don’t have to play Hip-Hop Hopscotch with Jimmy Fallon to look relatable.”

Meghan Markle has officially announced the release date for her forthcoming Netflix series With Love, Meghan and tons of stars are speaking out about the show.
“I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it,” Markle, 43, captioned an Instagram video on Thursday, January 2. “Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support — and fun!”
Netflix dropped the trailer for Markle’s highly anticipated series on Thursday, announcing that it’s set to premiere later this month. The show will feature the Duchess of Sussex (and maybe her husband, Prince Harry) along with some of her famous friends, a few of whom already reacted to the show via social media.
While it seems that Markle has garnered a positive response to her upcoming series, not everyone is happy with what’s to come.

The writer and grandson of former President John F. Kennedy trolled the internet on Thursday, January 2, when he claimed via X that he took on Baldoni, 40, as a client.
“I agreed to take on JUSTIN BALDONI as a client. Why? FAIRNESS,” wrote Schlossberg, 31. “EVERYONE is entitled to a FAIR TRIAL and ZEALOUS DEFENSE. Justin has NOTHING to hide, Justice will be his revenge. After BOSTON MASSACRE, John Adams represented the British at trial. Same s—, different day.”
Though Schlossberg was only joking, fans and media alike fell for it, with some outlets publishing stories claiming the Vogue political correspondent was, in fact, Baldoni’s lawyer.
Schlossberg passed the bar exam in 2023 and graduated from Harvard Law School the year prior. He added on Tuesday, “My personal feelings about Justin Baldoni are irrelevant. Justin is my client, I’m his lawyer. even the most heinous individuals have the right to counsel for their defense. I am not a hero. I’m just doing my job.”

While those in on the joke had a good laugh, Baldoni’s actual lawyer Bryan Freedman told the Daily Mail that the stunt was “ridiculous.”
“Nobody on my team has spoken to him,” Freedman added.
Schlossberg took a victory lap on Instagram, sharing screenshots of news articles saying he was Baldoni’s lawyer via his Stories.
Baldoni is currently suing The New York Times for $250 million, alleging libel and false light invasion of privacy following a story it ran about Lively accusing him of sexual harassment. Freedman added in a Thursday interview with NBC News that he also plans to sue Lively, 37, on behalf of his client.
