Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy will have plenty on his hands when the 2025 NFL season rolls around this fall.
McCarthy, 22, and his fiancée, Katya Korupas, announced they are expecting their first baby in a joint Instagram post on Wednesday, May 21.
“The best surprises come when you least expect them,” the couple shared. “Our sweet baby boy is arriving in September and we couldn’t be happier .”
McCarthy, who won a national championship at the University of Michigan in 2023, received congratulatory comments from many of his former Wolverine teammates, including Colston Loveland, Blake Corum and Will Johnson.
The quarterback’s Vikings teammate Harrison Phillips also left a supportive comment on the post, writing, “Y’all are going to be the best mom and dad .”
McCarthy and Korupas, 22, got engaged in January 2024, which the couple announced via an Instagram photoshoot with their dog.
“Me, You & Marley Forever & Ever,” Korupas shared.
In January, McCarthy celebrated Korupas’ birthday with a carousel of photos from their recent adventures, which included a Vikings practice and a trip to a Detroit Red Wings hockey game.
“I’d go to hell and back for her,” McCarthy wrote. “She’s my everything – my muse, my rock, and the heart of my universe. There is never a J without a K standing her ground behind him. For what is a flame without its wick. A Viking without a star to guide him. Thank you forever, my love, for never wavering when the inevitable storms arise on our voyage together.”
He added, “‘I love you’ doesn’t express my deep and intense feelings towards you enough, only will my actions for as long as I am alive will suffice. Happy 22nd My Queen.”
After being selected with the 10th overall pick by the Vikings in the 2024 NFL Draft, McCarthy tore his meniscus in his right knee during a preseason game in August 2024. McCarthy underwent surgery and was forced to miss the entire season.
McCarthy is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Vikings next season after last year’s starter, Sam Darnold, signed a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks in March.
“They haven’t told me, and I’m happy they didn’t because I try to earn it every single day,” McCarthy said of the starting job on Up & Adams in March. “I never want that to be given to me. It’s such a privilege and an opportunity to give me that chance. I’m just gonna make the most of it every single day.”
Earle, 24, opened up about struggling with acne, and turning to another celeb, while chatting with WSJ. Magazine’s digital series, “The One,” on Thursday, May 22. After Kendall Jenner, who has also been candid about struggling with acne through the years, teamed up with Proctiv in 2019, Earle felt more comfortable opening up about her own “acne prone” skin.
“I remember that resonating with me so much when I was younger,” she said. “So when I started dealing with super, super bad cystic acne, as much as it was the last thing I ever wanted to post about, and I was so embarrassed and so scared at first, that’s truly what kickstarted my success.” The influencer continued, “I always try now to just be realistic about filters or photoshopping. And I just think it goes a long way.”
Earle has kept her followers updated throughout her acne journey, and even shares zoomed-in clips of her skin when she’s experiencing breakouts.
“If there is something you want to do for yourself, then do it. Don’t care about what other people think,” she said via TikTok in January 2023 while celebrating her one-year anniversary of her surgery. Earle explained that she got 275 ccs of saline, but admitted she wished she “did a little bit more.”
The reason behind Earle’s honesty? “I don’t want to set an unrealistic standard,” she said.
Elsewhere in the WSJ. Magazine interview, Earle admitted that she “wished [she] knew people out there had skin like me.” Since opening up about her struggles with her skin, Earle gushed that her fans have “resonated” a lot with her.
“I meet people in real life and sometimes they’ll come to me with tears in their eyes saying that something I said helped them,” she smiled. “That truly makes it all worth it.”
Nikki Garcia is speaking out after details of her divorce settlement with ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev were revealed.
“Everyone’s had opinions about Artem and I’s divorce settlement. It’s everywhere,” Nikki, 41, shared during the Thursday, May 22, episode of “The Nikki & Brie Show” podcast.
Nikki first clarified that her divorce from Chigvintsev, 42, had “nothing to do” with the August 2024 “incident” between the two.
Chigvintsev was booked on a felony domestic violence charge after an alleged physical altercation between them. The charges have since been dropped. Both Nikki and Chigvintsev filed for divorce following the incident. They settled three months later. TMZ broke the news of their divorce settlement — revealing that Nikki had to pay Chigvintsev a hefty sum of money — earlier this month. (Nikki and Chigvintsev share 4-year-old son Matteo.)
“Divorce has to deal with the paper, the contract you signed during marriage. The day of marriage, at the court before marriage, whatever,” Nikki continued on Thursday. “So, our settlement is what everyone saw. Yes, I had to give him $200,000. Spousal support, alimony.”
Nikki’s sister, Brie Garcia, chimed in, adding, “That’s what happens when you’re the breadwinner.”
Nikki claimed that she “got a steal” with their settlement, “which is crazy to say,” she added.

“Our judge — we did private mediation — said at the end of it, ‘This is the first time in all the years I’ve done this, where a woman had to pay a man.’ The judge said, ‘You should be so damn proud that you built such an empire that someone wants a piece of it,’” Nikki recalled, noting that she promised the judge to make any man in the future sign a prenup before getting married.
“It was nice to hear that … even though it hurts because I broke my neck for that money,” Nikki added. “That money, all that is my hard-earned money.”
Brie chimed in again, telling listeners that she told Nikki that Chigvintsev “needs to sign a prenup” before they get married — but they never did.
“They’re all like, ‘Oh, so he got the money because she lost.’ No, no, no. Child support. If you are the breadwinner, if you make more money, it is literally a state calculator,” Nikki explained. “They put in the incomes, and they go, ‘Boom, this one makes more money. This is what you owe per month.’”
Nikki said that “at any point” until Matteo is 18, she and Chigvintsev can go back to court because “child support changes.” She added, “It’s strictly having a kid in a marriage. That’s all it is.”
Nikki also told listeners that she and Chigvintsev “are in a great place” at the moment.
“We are coparenting so amazing, and it makes Matteo’s life so amazing, and I don’t want it any other way,” she said. “When all of this came up, it sucks because things in Matteo’s world right now [are] so great because Artem and I are so on the same page, and I want that.”
The former WWE star said paying for child support “doesn’t bother me” because she wants the best for Matteo.
“Child support is so the child could have an equal life in both homes. That’s where it comes from, and so it is hard,” Nikki continued. “I don’t even think twice about it because I’m like, that is making sure Matteo is also 50/50, half of his other time is a good life.”
Nikki also addressed public speculation surrounding the August 2024 day when the alleged incident between her and Chigvintsev occurred.
“I have been so damn honest from day one and that’s why when everyone says, ‘She’s glowing, she’s so happy,’ because I’ve lived in my truth,” she said. “I know how to take accountability. I know what it’s like not to be perfect. I’m not a perfect person, but if something like that, if it was opposite, I would have taken accountability. I would’ve have said, “I f*** up. I need help,” but that was not me that day.”
Kid Cudi recounted the alleged drama surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs and their mutual ex-girlfriend, Cassie, when he took the stand in Diddy’s sex trafficking trial. (Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.)
Cudi, 41, testified about his past with Diddy, 55, and Cassie, 38, at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse on Thursday, May 22, arriving in an unusually casual look that consisted of jeans, a T-shirt and a leather jacket.
The “Day ‘n’ Nite” rapper began his testimony by saying that he thought Cassie was no longer seeing Diddy when he started dating her, telling the court, “I didn’t think that she was still diddling with him.” He recalled a day when Cassie called him in a panic to tell him that Diddy had learned of their romance. She had given Diddy Cudi’s address and was worried that the music mogul might go to his house and confront him.
Cudi went on to claim that Cassie told him Diddy was “abusive” during their relationship. After Diddy found out they were dating, Cudi took her to the Sunset Marquis hotel so she would be “safe away from him.” Cudi told the court that Cassie was “very stressed” and “nervous” when he picked her up. While they were there, assistant Capricorn Clark, who worked for both Cudi and Diddy, called Cudi “on the verge of tears” and told him Diddy “and an affiliate” were at Cudi’s house.
After that phone conversation, Cudi drove home and called Diddy on the way, asking him, “Motherf***er, are you at my house?” Diddy allegedly seemed “calm” and said he wanted to talk to him.
When Cudi arrived, he found that his exterior security cameras weren’t working and one had been moved to a different angle. Inside the house, gifts for his family that had been on the kitchen counter were opened. His dog was “locked up” in the bathroom, he claimed, adding that the pet was “very on edge all the time” after the alleged incident.
“I wanted to confront him,” Cudi recalled of Diddy, adding that he called the police. “I wanted to fight him.”

Later, after Cudi and Cassie had already broken up, his dog sitter called to tell him that his car was on fire. The jury was shown photos of the damaged car, which Cudi said couldn’t be repaired. He reported the incident to police, telling the jury that his honest reaction to the burned car was, “What the f***?”
Following the car incident, Cudi allegedly met up with Diddy at the Soho House in Los Angeles. “Sean Combs was standing there with his hands behind his back like a Marvel supervillain,” Cudi claimed, adding that his fellow rapper said they were “homies” and said he didn’t understand why Cudi would date Cassie. “He kept offering me water. It was weird that he was so calm,” Cudi continued, noting that he found Diddy’s demeanor “off-putting.”
When Cudi asked him about the car, Diddy allegedly gave him a “very cold stare” and replied, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Cudi said he then rescinded his offer of a handshake and left.
Years later, the two men had a second meeting at Soho House, where Diddy allegedly told Cudi he was sorry for the past. “Man, I just want to apologize for everything, all that bulls***,” Cudi recalled Diddy saying, adding that the Sean John founder brought one of his daughters to the meeting.
“After that apology, I kind of came to peace with all of it,” Cudi told the court. “That’s the last thing I was expecting to get.”
In his cross-examination, Cudi told defense attorney Brian Steel that there was no damage to his home during the 2011 break-in and said the house had been unlocked, so there were no signs of forced entry. He also noted he never saw Diddy get violent with Cassie and claimed his ex-girlfriend never disclosed any sexual abuse to him.
Steel went on to ask Cudi about his meeting with Diddy, and the “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper said the two men agreed that Cassie misled them about being single. Cudi further alleged there was never any movement from the police about his report on the blown-up car, but Steel claimed the DNA on the car came back as having come from a female.
During redirect questioning, Cudi told the prosecution that Cassie told him Diddy “would hit her” and “sometimes kick her,” adding that she was “really shook” when they broke up.
“The drama, it just became out of hand,” he recalled of their split. “I just wanted to give it space. Things were getting out of hand. For my safety, for her safety, I just stopped.”
When asked why he had safety concerns, Cudi replied, “I knew Sean Combs was violent.” As for his understanding of Diddy telling him he didn’t know about the car bombing, Cudi felt that “he was lying.”
Cassie dated Cudi during a break from her relationship with Diddy, whom she was with on and off from 2007 to 2018. Cassie (full name Casandra Ventura) has since moved on with Alex Fine, whom she married in August 2019. The couple share daughters Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 4, and are expecting their third baby. Cudi, for his part, announced his engagement to Lola Abecassis Sartore in April 2024 and is the father of daughter Vada, 15.
Following his September 2024 arrest, Diddy is on trial for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and denied all of the allegations against him.
In her own testimony earlier this month, Cassie claimed that Diddy found out about her romance with Cudi (real name Scott Mescudi) in 2011 when he searched through her emails during a “freak off” and found a correspondence between her and Cudi’s team about bringing a toiletry bag to a house. Cassie alleged that Diddy subsequently lunged at her with a “wine bottle opener.”
According to Cassie, she ran away and called Cudi from her burner phone to ask him to pick her up. Cudi took her to his house in the Hills, but when she later returned to a hotel room she was staying in, it had been trashed, with urine and feces allegedly located in the bathroom and the furniture in disarray.
Cassie testified that Diddy “was going to hurt Scott and I,” claiming that he also threatened to release two explicit videos of her from a freak off. She ultimately broke up with Cudi after receiving the alleged threats from Diddy.
“Too much danger, too much uncertainty of what could happen if we continued to see each other,” she said on the stand.
Cassie also claimed that Diddy threatened to blow up Cudi’s car and wanted Cudi’s friends to be there to witness it.
After Cassie and Cudi’s split, Cudi allegedly met with his ex and Diddy to discuss his car, which was set on fire by an “incendiary device” in January 2012, per a Los Angeles City Fire Department report obtained by Rolling Stone.
“What about my vehicle?” Cudi asked, according to Cassie’s testimony. “What vehicle?” Combs allegedly replied.
“And that was the end of the meeting,” Cassie said.
Cassie previously filed a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023, accusing him of physical abuse and sexual assault during their relationship. The court papers mentioned the allegations that Diddy threatened to firebomb Cudi’s car. Diddy denied Cassie’s claims at the time, and the case was settled out of court one day after it was filed.

Just because The Handmaid’s Tale is in the middle of a rebellion doesn’t mean there’s no time for Serena to find herself a new man.
Ahead of the series finale, viewers were celebrating some of the highlights from the Tuesday, May 20, episode where Commander Wharton (Josh Charles), Nick (Max Minghella) and Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) were some of the biggest casualties of the resistance breaking out in Gilead.
Wharton’s death left his new wife, Serena (Yvonne Strahovski), a widow. Luckily, fans pointed out that there was another option for Serena (whose marriage was rocky even though it only lasted a few hours) after she shared a quick — but interesting — moment with Mark (Sam Jaeger).
“The absolute scream I let out. FINALLY. The sexual tension immediately,” read an X post alongside screen grabs from the scene where Mark stormed Serena’s home before taking her to safety. “About time Mark & Serena have a scene together.”
Another social media user referred to Mark as Serena’s “guardian angel” despite them not interacting often. There were several viewers certain that Serena and Mark would find time to talk more before the series came to an end.
“Can we talk about the chemistry of these two, now, at very end?” a fan wrote via X. “Serena, you can have a good man for once in your life, choose wisely.”

The romance speculation comes days — in Gilead time — after Serena married Wharton. Despite a sweet courtship, their relationship hit a major obstacle when Wharton introduced Serena to their new handmaid on their wedding night.
“Commander Wharton, I feel like he has been very consistent all along. He hasn’t been pulling the wool over Serena’s eyes. He’s been very sincere about how he feels,” coshowrunner Yahlin Chang exclusively told Us Weekly about the tense conclusion to Serena’s wedding night. “So he’s incredibly confused by Serena’s reaction.”
“Josh Charles was a dream to work with and was so thoughtful and smart about the character. But the thing about Wharton is, I feel like from the very beginning, he’s shown who he is,” she noted. “He was very sincere with his feelings for Serena and his desire to have a big family.”
Chang continued: “Because of his love and lust for Serena, he was really trying to open his mind and be accommodating. He’s a very conservative guy, but he did say, ‘I want you to keep writing. I want you to do all these things.'”
According to Chang, miscommunication led to immediate issues between Serena and Wharton after a whirlwind romance.
“He’s mature enough to know that’s the woman that he’s fallen in love with. Serena is a force to be reckoned with — and that’s part of why he was in love with her. In his mind, having a big family — especially when you’re marrying a woman of a certain age with a biological clock ticking in the midst of a fertility crisis — that means having a handmaid,” she added. “To him, he doesn’t understand. He just does not understand her reaction against it because it’s just so baked into the system. So if anyone was really blind to what it all really meant, it was Serena.”
“I think we can expect an honest conclusion to the story. We keep using the word honest because we try our best to be realistic,” he noted. “What would happen in real life — and what we hope people take away — is this feeling of hopefulness and resilience that June and many of the other characters have demonstrated and will demonstrate in the last couple of episodes.”
Tuchman continued: “When you’re up against an oppressive regime and when your rights are stripped away, you just never stop fighting. You keep going. Hopefully people will draw some optimism and feel empowered by what plays out.”
New episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale are released Tuesdays on Hulu.

Lyla’s arrival marked the Minnesota native’s second round of fatherhood, as Pratt previously welcomed son Jack in August 2012 with his then-wife, Anna Faris. While he and the House Bunny star haven’t shied away from showing him on social media over the years, Pratt and Schwarzenegger keep their daughters’ faces covered with emojis.
The Kennedy family member did, however, give Us Weekly an exclusive update on Lyla’s milestones in November 2021, saying that something “new” happened with her every week.
“She’s starting to talk more,” the Los Angeles native gushed at the time of her “friendly” daughter. “She’s obviously getting more mobile with walking and growing up so much. It’s amazing to see. She’s doing all the different animal noises and things like that. When she sees [our dog], Maverick, she’ll make dog noises. It’s sweet to see her, first as a pet parent and now as a parent to my daughter, grow up and hit all these fun, cute milestones.”
Lyla was becoming a “total animal lover,” just like her mom, Schwarzenegger went on to say, adding, “It’s really sweet to see her with Maverick and see their relationship blossom. Especially as she gets more mobile, I see how excited she gets and how she likes to walk him around. It just totally warms my heart. I love it.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s daughter and the Parks and Recreation alum welcomed their second daughter, Eloise, in May 2022. “We feel beyond blessed and grateful,” the glowing parents shared via Instagram at the time.
In November 2024, the couple welcomed their third baby, son Ford Fitzgerald Schwarzenegger Pratt. “Mama and baby are doing well and Ford’s siblings are thrilled by his arrival. We feel so blessed and grateful. Love, Katherine and Chris,” they shared via Instagram.
One month after welcoming baby No. 2, Schwarzenegger gave a glimpse into life with a newborn. "May and June," she captioned a carousel of Instagram photos, including snapshots of Eloise's little hands and legs.

Katherine held Lyla, showing off the little girl's curly hair, as they wore matching beige tones in an August 2022 snap. "The summer of neutrals," she captioned the photo via Instagram.
"My favorite girls! It really is the greatest gift to have daughters. 👯♀️," Schwarzenegger captioned a September 2022 Instagram photo for National Daughters Day.
"A butterfly, a bumble bee, a garden fairy …and then there was Rip… (oh and lyla’s tiny ghost boyfriend)," Schwarzenegger captioned a compilation of family Halloween pics in October 2022 via Instagram.
Schwarzenegger shared a snap of her dad in church with baby Eloise in November 2022.
“A weekend of yummy food, lots of love, a baptism, first holiday season and family. I am so grateful and thankful for these memories ,,” she wrote via Instagram.
Schwarzenegger shared an adorable video of Lyla decorating a tiny tree for Christmas. In the clip, the little one can be seen trying to figure out how to apply string lights.

A pregnant Katherine walked alongside her family members, including mom Maria Shriver and brother Patrick Schwarzenegger, for World Alzheimer's Day. “So proud of my mama and brother Patrick for putting on such a great event ! Moshfest!,” she shared via Instagram in September 2024.
Katherine shared a photo of Ford, as well as one of her daughters with brother Patrick, in a February 2025 post captioned, “Some sweet moments lately.”
“How do moms do it? Seriously,” Chris wrote of Katherine on Mother’s Day 2025. “It’s like running a circus, a hospital, and a five-star kitchen all at once. Our kids hit the jackpot with you, and so did I. We love you. Happy Mother’s Day, Chief!”
