Aimee Lou Wood Says Crying Photos Were 'Unrelated’ to ‘SNL’ Controversy
UPDATE, 4/15/25 at 11:47 a.m. ET:
Aimee Lou Wood set the record straight on her now-viral crying photos — and they have nothing to do with Saturday Night Live.
“Thank you so much,” the actress told fans in an Instagram Story posted on Tuesday, April 15, reacting to their support of the recent SNL controversy.
“Just to say, I actually wasn’t crying about anything that the papers made out I was crying about,” she continued. “Something completely unrelated.”
Original story continues below:
The White Lotus’ Aimee Lou Wood had an emotional moment in the streets of London on Monday, April 14.
In pictures obtained by TMZ and Page Six, Wood, 31, can be seen crying and comforted by a friend in the British capital, just a day after she called out Saturday Night Live’s “mean and unfunny” parody of her White Lotus character.
Wood was spotted wiping away tears and turning to her pal for comfort, per pictures published by TMZ. The actress was photographed wearing a maroon leather jacket and a camel-colored baseball cap.
The Sex Education star’s public display of emotion came after an SNL sketch that aired on NBC on Saturday, April 12, featured a caricature of her White Lotus character, Chelsea. Sarah Sherman portrayed her, complete with a British accent and set of fake teeth.

“I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny xo,” Wood wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, April 13. “Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago. Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”
In a separate social media post on Sunday, Wood added, “On a positive note, everyone is agreeing with me about it, so I’m glad I said something instead of going in on myself.”

Wood later shared with followers that SNL reached out after her comments.
“I’ve had apologies from SNL,” she wrote via her Instagram Story.

The SNL sketch came amid the ongoing commentary about Wood’s tooth gap on social media.
“It’s, like, cool, and now I want to stop f***ing talking about it. Can I talk about my character? Why am I talking about my gnashers?” she told U.K.’s The Sunday Times in an interview published earlier this month. “It’s like now I’m just a pair of front teeth.”

Wood also expressed her frustration about the focus on her teeth in a recent interview with GQ.
“The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and then it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work,” she said. “They think it’s nice because they’re not criticizing. And, I have to go there … I don’t know if it was a man that we would be talking about it this much? It’s still going in on a woman’s appearance.”

Savannah Chrisley Reveals Advice Brittany Aldean Gave Her After Robert Split
Savannah Chrisley expressed her gratitude for pal Brittany Aldean‘s support as she continues to weather her surprise split from Robert Shriver.
“I had talked to Brittany Aldean. Because it’s so funny how things happen, but she kind of has been a part of our relationship from the very beginning,” Chrisley, 27, shared on the Tuesday, April 15, episode of her “Unlocked” podcast. “I told her what happened. She was like, ‘Savannah, you gotta change your number or block him.'”
Aldean, 36, has urged Chrisley to cut off all contact with Shriver — to mixed results. “[She said], ‘There can be no contact whatsoever. He has to realize how life is without you,'” Chrisley noted. “And I have failed at that massively — only because [his] middle [son’s] birthday just came up.”
Chrisley admitted that she hasn’t been able to completely end her communication with Shriver, 40, yet.
‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Alum Savannah Chrisley’s Dating History
“Chances are I’ll probably do Easter celebrations too [for his kids] against everyone’s advice to me. My therapist and my friends. It is just because I love them. It’s so hard for me to fathom not showing up for them. Brittany told me to cut all ties,” she continued. “I haven’t done a great job at that. Robert and I, we’ve gone a while without speaking, but something will pop up and we’ll check in for some odd reason. But we’re not talking every day. We’re not doing all of that.”
Despite Robert ending their relationship, Chrisley wanted to be present for his three kids, whom he shares with estranged wife Lindsay Shriver.

“I was not going to be another disappointment for them because they’ve had a lot. When they call, I’m going to answer. If they need me to show up, I will be there,” she continued. “Regardless of my relationship with Robert, I still love them. I love them more than I dislike where Robert and I are at.”
Chrisley and Robert dated for two years before he allegedly blindsided her in March by pulling the plug on their relationship. Chrisley originally reached out to Robert when he made headlines in 2023 for surviving an alleged murder plot orchestrated by Lindsay, calling him “too hot to die.” Lindsay, for her part, denied the existence of a murder plot.
According to Chrisley, it was ultimately Lindsay’s involvement that caused the breakup from Robert.
“We were in our routines with not only Robert and I, but also the kids. It was a drama-free zone. Then when she would come back to the U.S., not only did she come back but the chaos came back with her,” Chrisley claimed. “It’s like she wanted to destroy everything in his path and her path. There was never any sense of care for another individual other than herself.”

Chrisley felt that Lindsay sabotaged her future with Robert.
“We were seeing fertility doctors and talking about the future and our plans. He just realized that there was a lot that he needed to work on,” she noted. “He stated that he felt so much guilt for pulling me along throughout all of his chaos because he wasn’t sure when it was going to end.”
She continued: “He says he did it because he loves me. I do know and believe that he loves me. So that sucked and I will never forget driving away from Robert’s house and just sobbing hysterically in tears. I cried the whole way home, seven to eight hours. I just cried. I didn’t know what to do.”

Coworkers Said My Hair Looked Extra Voluminous After Using This New Root Spray From Sephora
I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. You see, I have an interesting hair type — it’s ultra-fine, but I have a ton of it. So while my mane has the ability to look lush and full, it also has a tendency to fall flat pretty quickly. Typically, the only formulas that will maintain the volume I’m after are thick mousses and foams that often make my hair feel crunchy. I thought the annoying crunch was just the trade-off I’d have to deal with for voluminous hair. . . until I tried the K18 AstroLift Reparative Volume Spray.
I wasn’t expecting much from this volume spray, simply because lightweight sprays like this rarely give my hair enough hold. So, with a lot of skepticism, I spritzed my damp roots liberally. I thought that even if it didn’t help me achieve the volume I was after, at least it could repair breakage and make my hair softer since it’s infused with the signature k18 peptide that’s designed to fully repair strands from the inside out.

Using my trusty T3 Aire 360, I proceeded to blow out my hair with the round brush attachment like normal. And while I wasn’t expecting much volume, my hair looked like I just came from the salon once I finished styling it — with noticeable, impressive volume to boot. The result wasn’t as dramatic as the mousses I regularly use, but the K18 spray gave me a natural-looking lift and added shine.

I promptly hopped on a Zoom call and was greeted with compliments. “Mary, did you do something different with your hair? It looks so good,” one person commented. Another even asked if I just came from the salon. Of course, I let them in on my secret. That interaction confirmed that AstroLift deserved a permanent spot in my hair routine.
It’s now been almost two months since I started using Astrolift and I still reach for it on hair washing days. Along with providing natural-looking volume, the spray has also enhanced shine and has made my hair feel more manageable. The reparative benefits might not be as profound as K18’s Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask, but this is nice for when your hair could use an extra health boost too. Plus, I’m very happy at the fact that this doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy in the slightest — it’s only smooth silky sailing here.
If you blow dry your hair regularly, adding this to your regimen will give you salon-worthy hair from home. Take it from me, K18 AstroLift Reparative Volume Spray is worth the hype.
