Eric Dane has been diagnosed with ALS.

“I have been diagnosed with ALS,” the Grey’s Anatomy alum, 52, said in a statement to People on Thursday, April 10. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”

Dane shares daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, with wife Rebecca Gayheart. In addition to expressing his gratitude for his loved ones, Dane also shared his appreciation for his work on Euphoria, which will start filming for season three following its extended hiatus.

“I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week,” the statement continued. “I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”

ALS stands for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The condition, which is also referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, per the Mayo Clinic. It causes loss of muscle control and gets worse over time. There is no cure.

The news of Dane’s condition comes nearly one month after Gayheart, 53, filed to dismiss her divorce from the actor. Dane and Gayheart tied the knot in 2004. In 2018, Gayheart filed for divorce from Dane after 14 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

While Gayheart and Dane did not reach a divorce settlement within that seven-year span, the pair have put their main focus on being amicable coparents for their kids.

One day before news broke about Dane’s condition, Gayheart addressed where the pair stood after calling off the divorce.

“We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents,” she told E! News on Wednesday, April 9. “We really figured out the formula to staying a family and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it and we are as well.”

Despite their ups and downs, Gayheart applauded what she and Dane have accomplished over the years.

“I think it’s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It’s just a season. It wasn’t a failure. It was a huge success,” she continued. “We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids so I think that’s a successful relationship, and that’s how we look at it.”

John Stamos and his wife, Caitlin McHugh Stamos, are celebrating their only child’s 7th birthday.

In a poignant message shared via Instagram on Thursday, April 10, the Fuller House alum, 61, wished son Billy a happy birthday before sharing a message to the “real hero of April 10,” Caitlin.

“Today our Billy boy turns 7. SEVEN. A magical, chaotic, hilarious, action-packed, deep-feeling, big-hearted SEVEN,” John wrote.

The actor continued wife praise for his wifte, adding, “While it’s a day to celebrate the joy he brings into the world (and man, does he ever), it’s also a day to celebrate someone else: His mom. Caitlin.”

As John explained, it was Caitlin, 38, who “did all the work” seven years ago when bringing Billy into the world.

The labor that turned her body inside out and her heart wide open. The recovery, the healing, the nursing, the nights without sleep, the years without rest. So yes, today we celebrate Billy and the magical little human he is becoming. But this day — this exact day — will always be hers, too,” John wrote alongside a photo from when Caitlin was pregnant with Billy. “A reminder of her strength, her love, and everything she gave to bring him into this world.”

He concluded, “We see you, Caitlin. And we love you.”

Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter Chelsea O’Donnell has filed to change her name following her multiple arrests last year.

Chelsea, 27, submitted paperwork to legally change her name according to court records viewed by Us Weekly on Thursday, April 10. The request was made in late January and a hearing is scheduled for May of this year.

The Daily Mail was first to break the news. The outlet reported that Chelsea wants to change her last name back to her birth mother’s maiden name, which is Neuens. (Rosie adopted Chelsea as a baby in 1997.)

Us has reached out to Rosie for comment.

Rosie, 63, and Chelsea have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years. The actress recently shared a lengthy poem via her Substack page that was titled “My Daughter Chelsea.”

“She wants her privacy / I am her mom / The story is out there / People judge and ask / Why didn’t u try more … / U should have done something else … / I would never have … / if she were mine,” the poem read.

The piece also mentioned that Chelsea had two additional mother figures, her birth mother and Rosie’s ex-wife, Kelli Carpenter.

“Every adoption story is complicated / Nuance and subtext / A primal wound / Sometimes doesn’t heal / Her story is her own to tell / And now — almost 28 years old / She wants a private life / She deserves one too,” the poem continued.

Rosie also referred to Chelsea’s legal trouble and her daughter’s struggles with substance abuse. (Chelsea was arrested three times in 2024 on multiple felony charges, including drug possession. In December 2024, Chelsea was ordered to maintain her sobriety while out on bail.)

“Her journey / Made public by a series of bad decisions / On everyone’s part / When she was a young teen,” Rosie’s piece reads. “Some things are hard to come back from / Why don’t u talk about her more / How can I / What would I say.”

“It’s not about me / I am here for her — She’s not here for me / A wise woman once said / A few months ago / A judge in Wisconsin / Told her he was proud of her / She had completed treatment,” she penned.

Rosie also applauded Chelsea for earning her high school diploma and being on the path toward recovery. The League of Our Own star revealed that Chelsea gave her permission to publicly share the poem and included a photo of her daughter smiling while in court.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have welcomed three kids since tying the knot in 1997.

The couple welcomed their son, James, five years into their marriage, followed by twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha, in 2009. While the duo tend to keep their family life private, Parker exclusively opened up about her kids’ interests with Us Weekly in April 2018.

“My son is in high school and has a wonderful group of friends,” she shared at the time. “He plays soccer and piano. And the girls are happy and enjoying life and learning. They’re really well.”

Broderick chimed in, adding, “Our kids are so smart you don’t need to do anything [to help with homework.] They’re like little computers.”

The following year, Parker exclusively told Us how she and Broderick keep their marriage “strong” while raising children together.

“We don’t talk about it,” the And Just Like That star said, calling their relationship “nice and private.” She added, “We’ve grown. We have a family, we have children, we have friends that have passed away, we have relationships.”

Val Kilmer’s official cause of death has been revealed.

According to a death certificate released by the Los Angeles County Department of Health and obtained by TMZ on Thursday, April 10, Kilmer’s immediate cause of death has been confirmed as pneumonia.

Underlying causes listed on the death certificate include acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, chronic respiratory failure and squamous cell carcinoma of the base of the tongue.

According to the certificate, malnutrition and a tracheocutaneous fistula — often a complication of tracheostomy — were also contributing factors. He was 65.

TMZ reported that Kilmer was cremated on Monday, April 7, or a week after his death.

Earlier this month, news broke that the Top Gun actor reportedly died of pneumonia in Los Angeles, according to The New York Times who spoke with Kilmer’s daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, on April 1. (Kilmer is also survived by his son, Jack, whom he shares with ex-wife Joanne Whalley.)

Days later, his family released a statement confirming the actor’s death.

“Thank you for honoring our extraordinary father’s memory,” the Batman Forever star’s family said to People. “We are so proud of him and honored to see his legacy celebrated. At this time, we would like to grieve privately.”

Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2015 and was later featured in a July 2021 documentary about his life, titled Val. The project showed him requiring a breathing tube.

After a long career in Hollywood, the actor became best known for his performances in 1986’s Top Gun alongside Tom Cruise, in addition to portraying Jim Morrison in 1991’s The Doors and Batman in 1995’s Batman Forever.

Many costars were quick to pay tribute to Kilmer and share fond memories of the actor after his death.

“I’d like to honor a dear friend of mine, Val Kilmer, for a moment,” Cruise, 62, began during an appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on April 3. “I can’t tell you how much I admired his work.”

Drew Barrymore also recalled working with Kilmer in Batman Forever.

“I was friends with Joel Schumacher, the director, who I thought of this morning because it was he and Val Kilmer that pulled me into Batman Forever,” she shared on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. “And Val Kilmer was so nice to me. He was so nurturing and kind and safe, which was a very important thing for me.”

She added, “I was like, ‘Nobody wants anything from me, they want things for me,’ which I thought was really interesting.”

Porsha Williams is getting real about the drama surrounding The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Days after viewers watched Kenya Moore exit the series due to an explicit photo scandal, Williams, 43, is sharing her thoughts on the messy situation.

“Each poster board that she showed — they could not show it on the show, which I’m so glad and thankful to Bravo for blurring it out and cutting out [the] majority of what despicable things Kenya said about Britt,” Williams claimed in a YouTube video posted Thursday, April 10. “I’m so glad they took it out.”

On the Sunday, April 6, episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Moore, 54, hosted the cast at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa business. During the event, the Bravo star unveiled explicit pictures of cast member Brittany Eady.

After the event, Bravo conducted an investigation and decided Moore could not film with the cast for the rest of the season.

To this day, Williams still has questions about the day in question such as, “What printing company printed this out?”

She also claimed that another costar may have played a part in the incident.

“One of these Housewives who is still on the show is the one who gave Kenya a big part of that nude information,” she alleged. “Who did all this research? Who did it besides the Housewife who gave you the footage? It was a lot.”

Williams remains hopeful that Moore and Eady, 37, can one day have a conversation. She also believes Eady is very “remorseful” about the controversial comments she made about guns.

“I don’t play them games!” Eady said in a previous episode after fighting with Moore. “I got whip, motherf***ing pistols, everything!”

At the end of the day, Williams said nobody can play the victim because they “both played a part.”

“I feel like there is a place where they can move on but that place has to be agreed upon by both of them,” she explained. “I feel like these two women can sit down and talk and say, ‘I hit you where your trauma was.’”

Luke Combs is a three-time Grammy Award nominee and six-time CMA winner, but around his house, you’d never know it.

The “Lovin’ on You” singer recently gave fans a peek inside his personal life with his wife, Nicole, and their two kids, Tex, 2, and Beau, 20 months. In an appearance on “The MeatEater Podcast,” Combs, 35, explained that he wants his kids to grow up in as normal a home as possible.

“We live in a 2,000-square-foot house. It’s two bedrooms,” he said on the episode released Monday, April 7. “Me and my wife have a room and the boys share a room. We’re always close together, we’re always tight in there.”

It’s not just that Combs lives in a fairly ordinary home — he expects his kids to learn responsibility, just like anyone else.

“The living room is the playroom. All the kids’ toys are in there,” he continued. “We let them destroy it. But every night, ‘Alright, we’re all cleaning up now.’ Mom and dad are cleaning up, but to the extent that a one-and-a-half-year-old [can], he’ll get a block and bring it over. He might only pick up two things but my two-and-a-half-year-old now, he can actually make a 5 percent dent in the cleanup. But he understands.”

Combs added that when one of his kids spills their milk, he hands them a paper towel, and even if they can only soak up a tiny fraction of it —“We go back behind him and actually clean it up” — he wants them to understand the responsibility.

It may seem strange for someone who plays stadium concerts on the weekends to think of himself as a “stay-at-home parent” during the week, but that’s how he sees it.

“I’m home four days a week, every week, full-time,” he said. “Sun up, sun down most days. Getting the kids up, changing diapers, doing baths, cooking dinners, cooking lunches, cooking breakfasts. That occupies a lot of my time but that’s what I want. I want my kids’ childhoods to feel as normal as they can given the very strange circumstances that it will ultimately become.”

Combs does what he can, but sometimes, the life of a country star just gets in the way. In June 2024, he opened up about missing Beau’s birth because he was touring in Australia.

“I’ll never forget the craziest day, probably, in my life — close to it,” he shared during an appearance on The Zane Lowe Show. “One of the best and one of the worst days in my life at the same time.”

“I probably woke up at around 8:00 a.m. or something like that, Australia time, and I had a text from my wife and it said, ‘I’m so sorry, I really tried to not have the baby while you’re gone,’” he added. “And God, dude, it sucked.”

Combs clarified that with the help of technology, he was able to see Beau from across the world, almost as soon as he was born.
