Last year, she shocked and delighted fans at the 2024 Grammy Awards when she announced her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department.

When Are the 2025 Grammys and When Will Nominations Be Announced?

“[The way I can celebrate] is by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the past two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19th,” she said at the time. “It’s called The Tortured Poets Department, and I’m going to go post the cover right now backstage.”

Kansas City Chiefs Will Not Hold Rally If They Win Super Bowl LIX: Report

The Kansas City Chiefs will not hold a rally if they defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

Local outlet FOX4 reported on Thursday, January 30, that the Chiefs will not have a public celebration if they win the Super Bowl. Instead, the team plans on arranging a gathering at Arrowhead Stadium for the players, their families, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe and Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas.

The private event could potentially be broadcast on screens alongside the parade route. A celebration parade with the players will still occur, per the outlet. The proposed route will be limited compared to previous years in order to minimize crowd density. It will also include special experiences for fans.

On Thursday, city officials, law enforcement, hospitals, head of the sports commission Kathy Nelson and many others gathered to finalize the plan for the potential event.

Chiefs Players Reached Out to Children Hospitalized After Shooting

Us Weekly has reached out to the Kansas City Chiefs for comment.

The decision for Kansas City to not hold a rally comes after a mass shooting took place following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win last year. The Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers and celebrated the victory with a parade and rally in their hometown in February 2024.

After speeches made by players and other officials wrapped, police reported gunshots were fired “west of Union Station” and “multiple people were struck.” Twenty-three people were shot and one person died. Local DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan was the sole casualty.

“We are truly saddened by the senseless act of violence that occurred outside of Union Station at the conclusion of today’s parade and rally,” the Chiefs said in an official statement in February 2024. “Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and all of Kansas City.”

Two adults and two juveniles were charged in connection to the shooting. The adult suspects were charged with second-degree murder.

Patrick Mahomes Addresses KC Chiefs Super Bowl Parade Shooting

Nearly one year after the tragic events, the Chiefs have found their way back to the Super Bowl where they’ll face off against the Eagles. The game will kick off on Sunday, February 9, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The Chiefs are looking to make NFL history by becoming the first team to win three back-to-back Super Bowl titles.

Earlier this week, quarterback Patrick Mahomes opened up about how “special” this season has been for him and his teammates.

“It’s just so hard to get to the Super Bowl and I don’t take it for granted, and to do it again at Arrowhead Stadium was special,” Mahomes told reporters after defeating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship. “You get that trophy on that stage and you look around here and there’s not an empty seat. It’s special. I’ve always said it: It’s not about one guy. It’s not about a couple guys. It’s about the whole entire team.”

‘Scamanda’ Show’s Producer Explains How Amanda Riley Pulled Off Cancer Hoax

ABC

After an unexpected scheduling delay this past fall, Scamanda, ABC’s four-part docuseries that takes on the most popular and talked-about podcast of 2023, finally premieres on Thursday, January 30.

The show brings to the screen the shocking true story of Amanda Riley, a charismatic wife and mom from an affluent Bay Area, California, community who elaborately faked a brutal, protracted cancer battle for money, in-kind gifts and sympathy from thousands of followers, including members of her megachurch.

Riley documented her supposed illness with photos and emotional passages on her personal blog, where she solicited donations in the form of cash and goods for medical treatment, gifts, trips, concerts, celebrity meet-and-greets (including one with LeAnn Rimes) and other perks. The blog would be her undoing: after investigative producer Nancy Moscatiello received an anonymous tip, she and authorities began poking at glaring holes in Riley’s story, and she was ultimately convicted of wire fraud in 2021. She’s now serving a five-year prison sentence.

But as listeners of the podcast and viewers of the show may notice, in retrospect, Riley’s scam seems a bit obvious, if not sloppy. In hospital photos we now know were staged, she appears glowing and healthy — not at all like someone undergoing chemotherapy or healing from surgery and other grueling cancer treatments. At one point on her blog, she claimed that an oncology doctor allowed her to self-administer clinical-trial chemo drugs at home in order to enjoy the holidays. When contacted, nationally renowned cancer centers where Riley said she was a patient had no records of her, the shows reveal. Similarly, charities that provided her money and/or services did not require documentation of her illness before paying her.

Why were so many people and institutions so easily fooled? “I don’t think she necessarily was your stereotype of a scam artist,” Charlie Webster, creator of the Scamanda podcast and a producer of the show, tells Us Weekly in an exclusive interview. “I don’t think these people were gullible or naive.”

ABC's ‘Scamanda' Series About Fake Cancer Scheme Delayed to 2025

“We don’t question people that have cancer and nor should we,” Webster says of Riley, who spoke of her alleged battle and spiritual faith to the congregation at her church, where during at least one service they threw literal cash at her feet. “She showed a miracle. She got cancer, but she was surviving. She’d collapse in church, wet herself in church, had an ambulance take her in church,” Webster recounts. “She stood on stage and offered people hope, which all of us in life need sometimes.”

“This was a woman in their community that was suffering that had two children. People rallied around to support her, and she was utterly convincing,” Webster adds. “Everything’s in hindsight. How would you have questioned that? You know you’d be the meanie, the horrible critical person in the back of the room.”

Webster, whose conversation with Riley herself is teased for a later episode of the show, also has complex feelings about her real-life protagonist’s motivations for the scam. “I’m 100 percent convinced it wasn’t for the money,” Webster argues. “I think it was an addiction. I looked at everything from an emotional, psychological, evidential [perspective]. She realized that this attention came — if you look at social media now, so many people crave ‘likes.’ They give us an endorphin boost. I think it was that on steroids, 10 times more. Even though she did harm people emotionally and financially, in that moment of time she did help people and created hope for people. It was very much about this validation, about people adoring her. She had this amazing group of people that saw her as this anointed one. They really did.”

Why True Crime Is Getting the Hollywood Treatment

As for Riley’s psychology and mental health struggles, including the possibility that she exhibits the traits of a narcissist or someone with Munchausen syndrome? “A lot of people have questioned me on why I didn’t mention Munchausen or mental health in the podcast; it’s mentioned briefly in the documentary,” she says. “The reason why I didn’t mention it and why I have been quite persistent on not going down that route is because, one, I feel like it minimizes victims’ experiences, and two, she’s not been diagnosed with anything.”

Prosecutors Add 2 More Alleged Female Victims to Diddy’s Federal Indictment

Prosecutors have updated Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal indictment to include accounts from two additional alleged victims, Us Weekly can confirm.

On Thursday, January 30, prosecutors filed an expanded indictment against the music mogul, 55, in which two additional women alleged that they were “coerced into commercial sex acts and of dangling a woman over an apartment balcony.”

These new charges are part of the indictment against Diddy that was returned by a grand jury on Thursday, according to documents filed in Federal District Court in Manhattan.

Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told Us in a statement that the “latest indictment contains no new offenses.”

Diddy Indictment Unsealed as He's Charged With Sex Trafficking, Racketeering

“The prosecution’s theory remains flawed,” the lawyer alleged. “The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes. Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He is also facing more than 30 civil lawsuits from alleged victims of sexual assault and misconduct. Diddy has maintained his innocence while behind bars.

The new indictment, obtained by Us, does not add any additional charges to Diddy’s case, but it does add accounts from two alleged victims that could strengthen the prosecutors claims regarding the accusations of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Diddy Pleads Not Guilty Following Arrest and Unsealed Indictment

Instead of the initial “Victim-1” account — which closely resembles Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura’s previous lawsuit against Diddy — listed in the indictment there are now “Victim-2” and “Victim-3” accounts in the filing. (Cassie, 38, settled a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend outside of court in fall 2023 after she accused him of sexual assault and battery. Diddy denied the allegations.)

Prosecutors accused Diddy in Thursday’s indictment of providing his alleged victims “with, among other things, monetary payments, career opportunities, and payment of rent and housing expenses” to keep them in line.

Diddy allegedly “used force, threats of force, and coercion, to cause victims, including but not limited to three female victims” to engage in commercial sex acts,” the filing claimed.

Diddy’s lawyers, meanwhile, have claimed that the sexual encounters outlined in the court documents were consensual.

The indictment also extended the period of the alleged racketeering conspiracy back to 2004 instead of 2008.

Per the filing, Diddy’s employees and associates allegedly helped conceal violence and abuse and engage in sex trafficking, arson and multiple acts of kidnapping. The indictment lists a new allegation of kidnapping in New York where prosecutors claim that Diddy carried and displayed a firearm and a kidnapping in California.

The expanded indictment added allegations of distribution or the intent to distribute methamphetamine and psilocin, a hallucinogen. Prosecutors initially accused Diddy of several drug offenses, including distribution or intent to distribute cocaine, oxycodone and ketamine.

Diddy’s trial is set to begin in May.

Which ‘Selling Sunset’ Stars Does Heather Rae El Moussa Want on ‘Flip Off’?

Heather Rae El Moussa is onboard with her former Selling Sunset costars appearing on The Flip Off.

“I think any of them would love it,” El Moussa, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly during the Tuesday, January 28, press junket for The Flip Off. “I mean, they get to now see me in a completely different business. I was doing high end real estate and now I’m flipping houses. I think they’re so proud of me.”

On The Flip Off, Heather and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, go head to head with his ex-wife, Christina Haack, as they work on chosen properties and receive feedback from guest judges. Before the show aired, it was revealed that Heather Dubrow, Haack’s ex-husband Ant Anstead, Jeff Lewis and Heather’s former Selling Sunset costar Amanza Smith were scheduled to make appearances.

“It was fun for her to come in and see what I’m doing and what I’ve learned and the transformations that I’m doing with our flips,” Heather gushed of having Smith, 48, on the show. “She was so excited.”

As for other Selling Sunset costars, Heather suggested Mary Fitzgerald Bonnet and Chrishell Stause, who she said “all have such great eyes” and “know me so well.”

Haack, for her part, had a different former costar of Heather’s in mind. “I pitched Christine [Quinn],” Haack, 41, said, to which Tarek, 43, replied, “Oh, God.” (Heather exclusively told Us in September 2021 that she and Quinn had “not had a close friendship for over a year now.” Quinn, 36, left the Netflix show and the brokerage in April 2022.)

“You would be in big trouble,” Heather said, to which Haack admitted, “I don’t like her either!” Tarek added, “No, you don’t even know.”

Haack admitted that she handpicked judges “to mess” with Tarek. (In each episode, Haack alternates choosing judges with Heather and Tarek for their challenges.)

Tarek El Moussa on Working With Heather, Christina: 'How Did I Get Here?’

“I was like, ‘Oh, I know who I should pick. Oh, it’s perfect. I don’t like her either. Christine,’” Haack said. “I was like, ‘Oh, my God. Imagine the drama.’ I’m just trying to make good TV.”

Haack began laughing as Heather looked shocked by her admission. “Really, not for good ratings?” Haack asked with a laugh, to which Tarek replied, “God, no. I’d rather move to Mars.”

While Heather had a few hesitations about filming the show with Tarek’s ex-wife, she exclusively told Us in a cover story earlier this month that it wasn’t weird to work together. Haack, for her part, feels the same way. (Heather and Tarek tied the knot in 2021 and share son Tristan, 23 months.)

“There have been so many times throughout all of this that I’m like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe we did that,’” Haack said. “I’m proud of all of us.”

The Flip Off airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.
