Caitlyn Jenner Breaks Her Silence on Manager Sophia Hutchins' Shocking Death
Caitlyn Jenner broke her silence after her manager and friend Sophia Hutchins died at age 29 following an ATV accident.
Jenner, 75, was spotted for the first time since the fatal accident in Malibu, telling the Daily Mail that she was experiencing “tough times” while reportedly looking somber, according to the outlet. In pictures obtained by the outlet, Jenner hid her face via a pair of dark glasses and a blue visor.
She later told the outlet that she did “not want to talk” about the accident that claimed her friend’s life.
News broke on Thursday, July 3, that Hutchins died following a fatal incident that occurred near Jenner’s home. She was pronounced dead at the scene after her ATV struck the bumper of a moving car and forced Hutchins 350 feet into a ravine.
Hutchins was a consistent presence in Jenner’s life after they met in 2015 amid the Olympian’s transition. Hutchins subsequently appeared in multiple episodes of Jenner’s E! reality series I Am Cait and went on to become CEO and director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation.

“We met through our hairstylists,” Hutchins said on Heather McDonald‘s podcast “Juicy Scoop” in 2020. “He was doing my hair one day and was like, ‘I’m going to a photo shoot after this, something with Caitlyn and MAC. And Caitlyn would like to meet you.'”
Hutchins recalled the introduction paving the way for a collaboration, adding, “[I] went to the photo shoot. We kicked it off. I learned a lot about what was going on in Caitlyn’s life and I felt it was a financial s*** show, and so much money was being thrown everywhere. Nobody was running the show, her life. Kris [Jenner] was not doing it anymore since they were divorced, and I felt like I could do a really good job.”
Hutchins and Jenner went on to spend a lot of time together.
“We have so much in common; we see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each because we challenge each other,” Hutchins said of their relationship during a 2018 episode of The Hidden Truth With Jim Breslo. “She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow, and I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it’s just a great match, a great partnership.”
Most Shocking Celebrity Deaths of All Time
Over the years, Hutchins and Jenner’s close bond has sparked speculation that they were in a romantic relationship. Hutchins shut down the rumors in 2021, writing via Instagram, “Love the whole LGBT community but so tired of rumors that I am romantically with Caitlyn. I am only ever with men and only ever have been. Stop the rumors! It’s been years.”
Hutchins clarified in a statement that she and Jenner had a “parental, familial relationship.”
“I don’t want controversy. I am just trying to live my life. Caitlyn is a parent to me. I have said that a million times,” she noted at the time. “It is a parental, familial relationship. I feel so blessed and humbled to be a part of such an amazing family and that she treats me like a daughter.”
Hutchins continued: “I feel blessed that we are able to work together. There’s no hanky panky. I feel like I’ve been saying that for the past five years.”

Dakota Johnson Explains Why She 'Can't Waste Time on Toxic Sets Anymore'
As an actress and producer, Dakota Johnson knows what it takes to make a movie.
“If there’s not a healthy collaboration, if it’s not a good match, then it’s not a good match. We really don’t move forward if it’s not a good match,” Johnson, 35, told Variety in an interview published on Sunday, July 6. “I can’t waste time on toxic sets anymore, or in situations that are not fun or fulfilling or healthy. That’s one of the perks of [producing], because I get to put amazing people together and make something.”
While Johnson did not reveal which (if any) sets have been toxic behind the scenes, she stressed that she doesn’t want to work alongside “anybody who’s mean or condescending or unkind.”
“I don’t want to face people who are not willing to collaborate, and then there are obvious things,” the Materialists star explained. “We all know what a toxic set is by now. We’re artists, so there’s room for expansive personalities, and we’re working with emotions.”

She continued, “I love a healthy argument on a set, and I also believe that the most excellent idea wins. It’s not a fight. It’s not a race. It’s a collaboration.”
Johnson is also “pretty vocal” when it comes to standing up for herself on a set.
“I think now, just being in the position of being a producer and developing my own films, I can choose all the people who are in it, and that makes a huge difference,” she said.
In addition to acting and producing, Johnson is also gearing up to sit in the director’s chair for the first time.

“I’ve always felt that I’m not ready to direct a feature,” Johnson added to Variety, teasing why she cast “amazing” Cha Cha Real Smooth costar Vanessa Burghardt in the untitled flick. “I don’t have the confidence, but, with her, I feel very protective and I know her very well. I can see this world, so I just won’t let anybody else do it. That’s the real answer.”
Johnson has been acting since high school, getting her big break in 2010’s The Social Network.
“I didn’t get in [to The Juilliard School] and my dad cut me off because I didn’t go to college. So, I started auditioning,” she recalled in a May interview with Elle UK. “I think I was 19 when I did The Social Network, and then little jobs and stuff after that.”
Dakota is the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, who also each have multiple children from other relationships.

‘Casino Royale’ Actress Caterina Murino Pregnant at 47 After IVF Journey
Caterina Murino, an Italian actress known for her role in 2006’s Casino Royale, is pregnant.
Murino, 47, shared the news with French magazine Gala, revealing that she is expecting her first child, a baby boy, with French lawyer Édouard Rigaud, her partner of eight years. She is due at the end of the summer — shortly before she turns 48.
The former Bond girl said she had an “excruciating” journey with in-vitro fertilization (IVF), during which she suffered two miscarriages.
“At my age, I had to ask medicine to help nature,” the actress told the outlet. “You don’t always decide when the right time to become a mother comes.”
Over 40 — and Pregnant! See Stars Who Welcomed Babies Later in Life
Murino said she is looking forward to becoming a mother and has had a smooth, healthy pregnancy so far: “I haven’t had any discomfort, no diabetes, no insomnia.”
She added that she’s anxious about her delivery but confident in “the fantastic work” of her French midwives.
Earlier this month, she also opened up about her pregnancy to Italian outlet Costa Smeralda.
“I feel I am living a magical moment,” she said. “Soon I will become a mother, and I believe we all have a huge responsibility today: raise conscious human beings.”
Stars Who Struggled to Conceive Children Share Their Fertility Issues
In May, Murino stepped out on the red carpet of Lilo & Stitch in Paris. She was glowing in a dark blue dress and white shoes.
Since her role in Casino Royale, she’s had success in international films such as The Garden of Eden (2008) and The Opera! (2024).
“It was a tremendous opportunity, but perhaps I only understood its significance later,” she told Costa Smeralda of appearing in the Bond film. “I was the first Bond girl in the Daniel Craig era, in a film which marked a change of mood in the saga. Today, I look back at it with gratitude and realisation: not so much for the glamour surrounding it, but for the chance it gave me to build an international career.”

‘Princess Treatment’ Influencer Slams Criticism Over Viral Trend
Influencer Courtney Palmer was initially surprised when her “princess treatment” videos sparked backlash.
“My content was reaching a community of 16,000 followers, and I was grateful to have a very sweet community. All of a sudden, overnight, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, some of these comments are mean,’” Palmer told People in an interview published on Saturday, July 5. “Then I thought, ‘That’s OK, it’ll run its course within 48 hours.’”
She added, “People started to make more videos, and I was completely shocked and felt bad. I didn’t mean it like that, and they’re missing context from the other videos. I didn’t think the backlash would go on for as long as it has. It breaks my heart, we’re all just trying to do our best.”
Several of Palmer’s now-viral videos revealed that she follows “princess treatment” guidelines when she’s out with her husband, meaning she won’t open her own doors or order her own meals at a restaurant. Palmer’s beliefs soon sparked criticism for allegedly playing into stereotypical gender roles instead of standing up for herself.
Bethenny Frankel, Gwyneth Paltrow, Meghan McCain Weigh in on Meghan Markle
“I speak, I laugh, I make decisions in my life. We go out, and we have lovely dinners,” she told People, denying the claims. “I enjoy the grace of my husband taking the lead, confirming the reservation he made. He pulls out my chair, orders for me after I’ve decided what I’d like to eat. It’s not control, it’s care.”
Palmer further admits that different individuals might have different definitions of “princess treatment.” For her, she told the outlet that it’s all about “a gentle way of living.”
“It begins with how you care for yourself. It’s not about him, it’s about you. You’re choosing softness, calm and grace. It’s very intentional,” Palmer said. “You’re speaking kindly to yourself. You’re making space for that peace by embracing your feminine energy without shame.”
The Meghan Markle Debate: Why She's So Polarizing — And Can She Ever Win?
She added, “Princess treatment isn’t about how someone else is showing up for you. It’s how you carry yourself, how you hold your boundaries, the way you move through the world, knowing you’re the prize. The world learns to treat you that way. Your softness isn’t giving anyone control over you. It’s giving a partner space to lead with that strength.”
According to Palmer, she wants her husband of 18 years to act as a protector, provider and a partner.
“He adores me and goes over the top to make me feel loved. He has always been this way. We never had a conversation about any of the things that I talk about in any of my videos, we just naturally fell into it,” she explained. “That’s what I’m trying to tell through my videos. When you show up in a certain way, he will act in this way, naturally. It’s not about forcing or manipulation. You’re not playing a game.”

AJ McLean Says Baylee Littrell Has 400 Songs Written After 'Idol' Debut
When it comes to his bandmate Brian Littrell’s son, Baylee, and his musical career, AJ McLean says the aspiring artist doesn’t need anyone’s advice.
“I mean, I’ve known Baylee since he was born,” McLean, 47, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting Netflix’s Building the Band. “I’ve known him for 22 years of his life on this beautiful planet. He doesn’t really need any advice from any of us. If anything, I’m such a big fan.”
Baylee delighted Backstreet Boys fans when he joined the latest season of American Idol, singing both original songs and renditions of his famous father’s work. (He was one of six contestants ultimately not selected to proceed to the singing competition’s top 14 round.)
Before his elimination, Baylee sang the song “Gone Without Goodbye” from his father’s 2006 solo album, Welcome Home.
Baylee Littrell Says Singing Dad Brian's Song on 'Idol' Was 'Bittersweet'
“It means a great deal to us,” the younger singer told host Ryan Seacreast at the time. “That song is really dedicated to [the] tragedy [of] 9/11, you know, all the victims that it affected.”
Baylee went on to explain that his mother, Leighanne, was “supposed to be on the second flight” that struck the World Trade Center in September 2001.
“I feel incredibly lucky,” he continued. “It’s an emotional song. I’m just glad I got through it.”
McLean — who sang alongside Brian, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough in the beloved early aughts band — told Us that he is “always going to root” for Baylee as he takes his next, post-American Idol steps.
“Last time I was in Georgia, I was in the studio with T-Pain working on my solo project and I went to Brian’s house just to kind of kick it, and Baylee sat there and played 15 songs, all different types of music,” he continued. “I mean, he’s got a catalog of probably three to 400 songs he’s written that are all insanely good. He knows what he wants and he knows what’s right and wrong. He’s seen his dad go through it; his uncles go through it. He’s seen a lot in 22 years, but he’s in his own lane and in my mind he’s already a massive success because he is his own person.”
In an exclusive interview with Us following his elimination, Baylee opened up about his time on Idol and how difficult it was to compete as a famous Backstreet Boys’ son.
Brian Littrell Cries Over Son's 'Idol' Audition, Performs Surprise Duet
“It was hard to make friends, and it was hard for people to understand me because a lot of people, they did have preconceived notions of how I would be,” he explained at the time. “And that’s one of the emotional parts of leaving — finally people get to see who you are. And finally we kind of set our differences aside or our assumptions of each other and all just started to bond.”
Despite the challenges, Baylee told Us he had “a great experience” on the show. And if his uncle McLean has anything to say about it, his time on the reality competition series will hardly be the last time we see the future star.
“He can sing and do anything, honestly,” McLean told Us. “I mean, he’s just beyond talented.”

Lena Dunham Reveals Candid Reason Why She Took a Step Back From Acting
Lena Dunham is getting real about her decision to step back from pursuing acting roles.
“Having my body dissected was a reason that I chose in general to step back from acting a little bit more and focus on my writing and my directing,” Dunham, 39, told The Independent in a profile published on Saturday, July 5. “And also just make different kinds of choices as an actor.”
Dunham created and starred on HBO’s Girls from 2012 to 2017, at a time when her body and overall physical appearance were heavily criticized. Despite the backlash, Dunham always remained a fierce body-positive advocate.
“I always shudder to make big statements, but I have to say, the past two years haven’t just been the happiest years of my adult life, they’ve been the happiest years of my life,” Dunham exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2019. “And that’s not because they’ve been perfect. It’s because I now have the tools based on what I’ve been through — whether it’s losing my health or ending a long relationship, or, you know, challenges with addiction.”
All of Lena Dunham's Most Impactful Quotes About Body Positivity
According to Dunham, managing her various challenges made her stronger in the long run.
“Learning that they don’t define me and that I actually have the tools to live a life of relative freedom has made me so much more confident, grounded, present,” she told Us. “It’s not that issues don’t come up, it’s that I have the tools to manage those issues, and that’s really what I wish for every woman. The reason I’ve been so insistent on sharing my experiences, I think, [is that] we have to be reminded again and again and again that we’re not alone.”
Dunham recently used her entire life as inspiration for Netflix’s Too Much, which is loosely based on her early courtship with husband Luis Felber. In addition to writing the scripts, Dunham was initially attached to star in the project.
“I was not willing to have another experience like what I’d experienced around Girls at this point in my life,” she wrote in a New Yorker essay published in July 2024. “Physically, I was just not up for having my body dissected again. It was a hard choice.”
Dunham ultimately cast Hacks breakout Megan Stalter in the lead role.
“Megan is so smart and so internet-literate,” Dunham told The Independent, speculating how the 34-year-old star would handle potential body-shaming criticism when Too Much hits Netflix. “I don’t use Instagram — I write the captions, but somebody else posts them — so I’m not receiving all this online feedback. She’s so culturally alert and online that I feel like she knows what the world is offering. And what I love about her is she has such a funny, bright, ballsy way of taking it all in stride.”
Too Much premieres Thursday, July 10 on Netflix.

Jenna Johnson Addresses Mom-Shaming Comments After Son, 2, Used a Bottle
Jenna Johnson is speaking out after a social media user sent her a hurtful message about her 2-year-old son, Rome.
On Friday, July 4, the Dancing With the Stars pro, 31, shared a photo of herself via Instagram Stories snuggling up with Rome, who was drinking from a bottle. Apparently, another mom didn’t think a 2-year-old should still be using a bottle and decided to share her thoughts with Johnson.
“Way too old for this fat r****d to have a bottle,” the social media user wrote via DM.
Johnson shared a screenshot of the individual’s message via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 5, alongside a note about bullying online.
Rome Is 2 Months! See DWTS’ Jenna and Val’s Sweetest Snaps of Their Son
“Soooo yesterday I posted a pic of me and my son, who I hadn’t seen in 4 days and lots of people felt strongly about him drinking from a bottle,” she began. “Totally fine when other moms give *positive* advice and I’m always open to feedback to an extent. But this woman (who’s profile pic is of her holding her own baby) decided to DM me this. What world are we living in?? I understand that I put my life out there publicly, which I honestly want to STOP doing when extremely rude and harmful messages toward my baby are sent to me. But are we OK as a society? Also, you yourself are a MOM!!!! Would you want me, a total stranger, to DM you this about your child? Because he’s drinking from a bottle??? Like WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING.”
She concluded, “I love my social media community on here and really feel so connected to each of you. But enough is enough with the sad trolls/bullies on here. Please unfollow me IMMEDIATELY and respectfully get a life.”

On Sunday, July 6, Johnson thanked her followers for sharing supportive messages amid the controversy.
“I honestly cried reading ALL your messages,” she wrote via Instagram Stories. My heart really hurt yesterday at how vile and mean some people can be, but once again I was shown just how much this little community of mine on here can also show up. You gave me the love, support, and kindness that I believe in!”
She continued, “Let’s remember that we are all humans, navigating life the best we can! I promise to try and only spread positivity and light on my feed and I hope you feel inspired to do the same. But seriously, thank you for having my back and making me feel seen. So grateful to each of you!!”
Johnson shares Rome with her husband and fellow DWTS pro, Val Chmerkovskiy. The pair got married in April 2019 and welcomed Rome in January 2023.
“Our world is forever changed 1.10.2023,” the dancers jointly captioned the first photo of their baby boy.
Johnson has been open about her infertility journey, sharing a heartfelt message while announcing her pregnancy in 2022.
“We had actually stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to mentally/emotionally give ourselves a break,” Johnson wrote in the Instagram caption. “So the shock, disbelief, and sheer joy in this moment is a memory I will never forget ”
She also shared a short clip of herself getting her first ultrasound, explaining, “Our journey getting to this point wasn’t an easy one.”
Jenna Johnson Says Maks and Peta's Kids Are 'Great' Cousins to Son Rome
Johnson also commended her sister-in-law, Peta Murgatroyd, for sharing her own experience after suffering multiple miscarriages.
“As a family [we’ve] obviously known about this and her struggles with it,” Johnson exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2022. “She’s kept it very private for the past two years. So when I saw the beautiful piece that they did and that she finally opened up, I just called her and told her how proud I am of her, because I know how much heartbreak that brought her and how badly she wants another baby.”
Murgatoryd is married to Val’s brother, Maksim Chmerkovsiky, and they share three sons, Shai, 8, Rio, 2, and Milan, 11 months.
“When I think back to the pain, the angst, the anger of not being able to keep a baby … It’s funny, I could get pregnant very easily but I kept losing the babies and it was a tragic circumstance because I really thought that I was going to be having one child for the rest of my life and I had to be OK with that,” Murgatoryd, 38, told Us Weekly in June. “And now that I do have three and it is utter chaos, Maks and I have to find time to be together and we’ve really had to sit down and say, ‘I miss you.’ [And], ‘I miss you too.’ Let’s really just connect and make sure that we’re seeing each other properly, communicating properly and making sure we’re really trying to carve out time for each other.’”

Kelly Osbourne Says Dad Ozzy's Last Black Sabbath Concert Was 'Magical'
Ozzy Osbourne had the support of his entire family for his final Black Sabbath concert — and daughter Kelly Osbourne knows how special it was.
“I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you,” Kelly, 40, said in a Sunday, July 6, Instagram Story video. “Thank you to everyone who came to the show last night, [and] thank you to everybody who was involved in the show last night. You have no idea what it did for my dad.”
She added, “It was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life, and if I keep talking, I’m probably going to end up crying again. So, that’s all I’ll say for now. Thank you.”
Ozzy, 76, reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for an epic “Back to the Beginning” concert in Birmingham, England, on Saturday, July 6, to raise funds for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice. The concert also marked the famed rocker’s official retirement.
Ozzy Osbourne: 'I'm Not F--king Dying' After Canceling Tour
Ozzy announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
“You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong. You begin to think this is never going to end,” Ozzy told The Guardian in a May profile, noting that his wife, Sharon Osbourne, organized the benefit concert to “give [him] a reason to get up in the morning.”

At the time, Ozzy teased that he was working on his stamina in order to make it through the performance.
“I do weights [and] bike riding, I’ve got a guy living at my house who’s working with me,” Ozzy told the British newspaper. “It’s tough. I’ve been laid up for such a long time. I’ve been lying on my back doing nothing, and the first thing to go is your strength. It’s, like, starting all over again.”
He continued, “I have problems walking. I also get blood pressure issues from blood clots on my legs. I’m used to doing two hours on stage, jumping and running around. I don’t think I’ll be doing much jumping or running around this time. I may be sitting down.”
Jack Osbourne Pays Tribute After Dad Ozzy Osbourne's Final Concert
Ozzy ended up seated during most of Saturday’s show, performing from a bat-covered throne. Kelly watched from backstage alongside her mom, siblings and other loved ones.
Ozzy and Sharon, 72, are parents to Kelly, Jack and Aimee.
“For everything I learned along the way,” Jack, 39, captioned a throwback video on Instagram later on Saturday. “The final Good Night We Love You All .”

Andrew Garfield, Monica Barbaro Hold Hands at Wimbledon Amid Dating Report
Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro are serving up love (and color-coordinated outfits) at Wimbledon.
Garfield, 41, and Barbaro, 35, arrived holding hands at London’s All England Tennis and Croquet Club on Sunday, July 6. The actors twinned in all-white Ralph Lauren outfits. While Barbaro stunned in a sleeveless sundress, Garfield opted for a button-down with matching trousers and a sweater tied around his shoulders.
Inside the arena, Garfield and Barbaro were spotted laughing as they took in the tennis match. They were seated in a star-studded box, surrounded by fellow celebrities Charithra Chandran, Maude Apatow, Erin Doherty and Wafaa Ashur.
Neither Garfield nor Barbaro has publicly addressed their relationship status, though speculation has swirled since March that the pair have been dating. (Us Weekly reached out to Garfield and Barbaro’s reps for comment at the time.)
Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro Have Adorable Meetup After Met Gala
Garfield and the A Complete Unknown actress recently stepped out together across the pond in New York City in May, where they saw the Tony-nominated play John Proctor Is the Villain ahead of her solo outing at the Met Gala. Garfield, however, was seen waiting for Barbaro when she returned to The Mark Hotel afterward.
The English actor, for his part, often keeps his romantic life out of the limelight.
“How many of those relationships work out?” Garfield said on an October 2024 episode of Chicken Shop Date. “I mean, it’s, like, flash-in-the-pan stuff, usually.”
Garfield has previously been linked to Shannon Woodward, Susie Abromeit, Aisling Bea, Rita Ora and Alyssa Miller throughout his career. He also famously dated Emma Stone from 2011 to 2015 after they met on the set of 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man.

“We care about each other so much, and that’s a given, that’s kind of this unconditional thing,” Garfield told Vanity Fair in January 2017 of his past with Stone, now 36. “There’s so much love between us and so much respect. … I’m her biggest fan as an artist. So for me, it’s been bliss to be able to watch her success and watch her bloom into the actress that she is.”
He still remains on good terms with Stone, who is now married to Dave McCary.
As for Barbaro, she has also kept her past relationships out of the spotlight. While she doesn’t speak about her relationships often, she does find friendships equally important to prioritize. Earlier this year, Barbaro spoke about bonding with her A Complete Unknown costars.
Andrew Garfield's Dating History: Emma Stone, Rita Ora and More
“He’s just starting with us because he’s been filming, but we are having these beautiful moments of chatting and catching up,” Barbaro told Cosmopolitan in January, referring to Timothée Chalamet. “In this stretch where he’s been working, I’ve been doing a lot of press with Elle [Fanning], and we sort of laugh about how we don’t have any scenes together. We share one look, and she’s so brilliant. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to hang out with her in this space. Everyone’s wonderful.”
She added, “This was a more or less siloed one for us in our training, as opposed to something like Top Gun: Maverick, where we were in planes together, trauma-bonding together with all of our fears and excitement and all the risks we were taking. But this was really cool too, because we could just show up and do our jobs and be these proficient musicians who wouldn’t have met until they were in a performance space.”
