Kesha is trying to keep things light for fans who are worried about the looming ban on TikTok in the U.S. — by reminding them that her single “Tik Tok” will always be there.
The singer shared a video via Instagram on Saturday, January 18, featuring herself wearing a black hoodie and closing her eyes while part of her 2010 hit song played. Over the view, she wrote, “TikTok may be temporary, but TiK ToK is forever,” and added both a peace sign and black heart emoji.
The song was an instant hit when it debuted, spending nine weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Kesha performed the song in Oakland, California, in 2023, where she changed the opening line of the song from, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy” to “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.” The lyric swap came after Cassie (real name Cassandra Ventura) filed a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023,, accusing the rapper of sexual assault and abuse. Diddy has denied all allegations against him.
Since Cassie’s lawsuit, many others have also come forward with allegations against the disgraced music mogul. Diddy has continued to deny the allegations against him, and is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York.
During her 2024 Coachella set, Kesha changed the opening line of her song again, this time to, “Wake up in the mornin’ like f—k P. Diddy.” In May of the same year, she confirmed the lyric swap was permanent after she was approached by TMZ at LAX airport.
“Yes, it will be, so the fans should learn it for my upcoming shows. I want to hear it louder than ever,” she said. “I stand by that.”
“I’m not the kind of person that just shuts the f— up, I know what I stand for, I know my integrity is rock solid so I speak the truth,” Kesha continued. “And the industry can kind of like suck my d—.”
As for the social media app of the same name, the Supreme Court has upheld the U.S. government’s proposed TikTok ban, and the app’s owners ByteDance have pledged to make the app inaccessible for users in the United States beginning at midnight Sunday, January 19.
The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act was proposed after Congress expressed worries about espionage on behalf of China by ByteDance. The company has said they will remove TikTok from smartphone app stores. The parent company later explained on Friday that they will cut off services and “go dark” unless the U.S. assures Apple and Google that they won’t be penalized for hosting and distributing TikTok.
The loss of the app will have a major impact on content creators and influencers who earn income through the TikTok Creator Fund, as well as those who earn revenue through brand sponsorships and by selling merchandise on the platform.
Clark, 22, joined Swift, 35, at the Chiefs playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, January 18, at Arrowhead Stadium. A video shared via TikTok by the NFL’s official account on Saturday showed Swift’s boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, breaking a tackle by the Texans.
As fans cheered, the camera zoomed over to Swift’s box seats, where she was seen throwing her arms around Clark in celebration. In the box, Swift was also joined by her parents, Scott and Andrea, and her brother, Austin, all of whom were sporting Chiefs-branded windbreakers, per social media.
Saturday’s matchup against the Texans is the first playoff game of the season for the Chiefs. The winning team will advance to the AFC conference championship, where they will face off against either the Baltimore Ravens or the Buffalo Bills. Whoever wins that match will head to the Super Bowl in February.
As for Clark, the WNBA star recently appeared as a guest on a recent episode of Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. During the January 2 episode, Clark revealed that she had attended Swift’s Eras Tour three different times.
“I went early on when Taylor first went on tour in Minnesota at U.S. Bank. One of her early concerts and that was a lot of fun,” Clark told the Kelce brothers. “I went with some of my college friends and we had a good time together.”
However, during the podcast, Clark, who currently plays as a guard for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, made it clear that being a Chiefs fan is in her blood.
“I’m a midwest kid,” she explained. “I had family in Kansas City and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, which is only three hours from Kansas City, so that’s the closest NFL team. My dad was a big Chiefs fan growing up. People think I’m a bandwagon Chiefs fan and I’m like, ‘No! I was there before! Before Patrick [Maholmes] and Travis. We were ride or dies.”
In an interview with TIME in December 2024, Clark shared that Swift wound up gifting her four bags of Eras Tour merchandise, along with a note that said the athlete was “inspiring to watch from afar.”
According to the outlet, it was at this time that the pop star invited Clark to attend a Chiefs game with her, and noted that she and Travis would have to attend an Indiana Fever game soon as well.
Chris Martinand Dakota Johnson are seeing the sights while in India — and continuing to put any rumors that they’ve split to rest.
Martin, 47, and Johnson, 35, were filmed participating in a religious ceremony at Mumbai’s Hindu house of prayer Babulnath Temple. In one video shared online on Friday, January 17, Martin breaks out into a smile after he realizes he is being filmed. In a second, also posted on Friday, Johnson is shown whispering a wish into a Nandi bull statue.
The pair, who have been engaged since March 2024, are in the country for a series of performances by Martin’s band Coldplay, putting rumors they broke up to rest when they were spotted walking together in Mumbai Friday. Martin and Coldplay will play a spate of shows in Mumbai through January 21 before moving on to Ahmedabad, India, for two more shows. The band will then play shows in China and South Korea in April before returning to the United States in May.
A rep for Johnson shot down additional breakup rumors in August 2024 after the Daily Mail reported the pair had ended their engagement. “The reports are not true,” the rep explained. “They are happily together.”
In the wake of their March 2024 engagement, the happy couple chose not to make a big public announcement.
“Chris and Dakota have been engaged for a while now, but they’re not the type to make some huge public announcement because they try to keep their relationship as private as possible,” a source told UsWeekly at the time. “They’re not in a huge rush to get married and don’t have a final wedding date set just yet.”
The insider also said that the pair intend to have Martin’s children, Apple and Moses, at their wedding, as well as his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. “Dakota and Gwyneth have grown very close over the years and they consider themselves family at this point. In a video shared via TikTok on Thursday, January 16, Jonas, 35, showed himself dressed in drag. Jonas did not elaborate on why, exactly, he was dressed in drag — or reveal his potential (please, tell Us it exists!) drag name. However, he was recently spotted in Toronto, Canada, on the set of brother Nick Jonas’s upcoming holiday movie starring wife Priyanka Chopra, per TMZ on Tuesday, January 14. While not much is known about the new flick, it is reported to be a project for Disney+.
Jonas’ life has changed significantly over the past few years. In September 2023, he filed for divorce from now-ex wife Sophie Turner, with whom he shares two daughters: Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2. His second solo album, Music For People Who Believe In Love, dropped in October 2024. In an interview with Billboard earlier that year, Jonas spoke about the process of creating his latest project, calling it both “scary” and “freeing” post-divorce.
“I’m a happy person, and the music needed to resemble that — but also, the journey to get here,” he told the outlet in August 2024. “I was going through a lot of life changes, finding out who I was as a person and father and friend, and living under the microscope of what the music industry can be. Jonas and Tuner were married for four years before news broke of their split in 2023. Jonas filed for divorce, calling their relationship “irretrievably broken.” After several courtroom battles over custody of their kids, the pair announced their decision to split custody in October 2023.

Patrick’s hiatus coincided with the birth of his and Brittany’s third baby. The pair, who are also parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2, announced via Instagram on Monday, January 13, that their daughter Golden was born the previous day.

After the Chiefs earned their bye week, Patrick told reporters that he vowed to secure the advantage so the couple could focus on welcoming their newest addition.

At the time, Patrick revealed that Brittany was due to give birth “any day now.”
“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season,” he shared. “So, I gotta try not to put so much stress on her through these football games — and get the bye.”
Patrick added, “Hopefully, God works the right way, and we can have that baby on the bye week somewhere. Then, everything will work out perfectly.”
Patrick also hinted that Brittany would be supporting him in the postseason despite her full plate of responsibilities.

Earlier this month, Patrick divulged that he managed to prepare for the playoffs while he and Brittany awaited their little one’s birth.

The Bachelor alum Rachael Kirkconnellis getting cryptic on social media following her break up from Matt James.
Kirkconnell, 28, reposted a handful of cryptic videos about the ending of their respective relationships. In one clip, the caption read, “Actual footage of me breaking into my friend’s man’s house after finding out they cheated.”
In the video, a woman went incognito thanks to a police costume, a hat, a pair of sunglasses and a fake mustache while holding up a camera. She stood behind the door, waiting for her pal’s significant other to come home and then promptly tackled him to the ground.
Kirkconnell also reposted a fan-compiled clip of Sex and the City scenes, in which Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) said that she “missed” ex-fiancé Aidan (John Corbett).
“I missed you. I lie in bed at night and I think about us and I think about you holding me,” Parker’s Carrie said in a voiceover before Aidan yelled, “You broke my heart.” (Carrie notably cheated on Aidan with Mr. Big, played by Chris Noth, who she ended up marrying in the first Sex and the City film ahead of his death in And Just Like That.)
Kirkconnell did not explain why she chose to share those videos nor has she publicly accused James, 33, of infidelity. (They have not publicly revealed the reason for calling it quits.)

Kirkconnell later “liked” a fan social media comment that suggested James’ upload blindsided her. A source confirmed to Us Weekly that she was only out of the loop on his posting timeline and not the split itself.
“The split may seem abrupt, but this has been brewing for a while. It was a long time coming,” the source exclusively claimed to Us. “Matt just couldn’t commit to her.”
The insider also alleged that Kirkconnell and James struggled with trust issues.
“It was hard for Rachael to trust him,” the source said. “Rachael really wanted to get married and settle down and they were not on the same page. She felt like she was waiting around, and he would never give her what she wanted.”
James and Kirkconnell met on season 25 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2020. While they didn’t get engaged on the show, they left as a couple but split within weeks. The reality TV alums reconciled in 2021, frequently pushing back on pressure to take the next steps and get engaged.
“I feel like when you feel pressure, it’s when you don’t wanna do something,” James exclusively told Us in June 2024. “So, I’ve never really felt pressure because it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do. It’s something that we’re gonna do at some point. That’s why we’re together and what we’re working toward.”
Cameron Diaz is grateful for her 10-year hiatus from acting — but she’s just as grateful to be back.
“Oh my God, I loved it. It was the best 10 years of my life,” Diaz, 52, said on the Friday, January 17, episode of The Graham Norton Show regarding her retirement from making movies. “I was just free to just say, ‘I’m a mom, I’m a wife, I’m living my life.'”
Diaz’s last project before her 10-year break was 2014’s Annie, in which she starred alongside Jamie Foxx. She and Foxx, 57, are both starring in Netflix’s Back in Action, which premiered on the streaming platform on Friday.
Diaz went on to say that stepping away from acting “made sense for [her] family” at the time, as she and husband Benji Madden, who she wed in 2015, share two children: daughter Raddix, born in 2019, and son Cardinal, born in 2024. Diaz added that after a while “people stopped asking” her to take on new roles. “It was so lovely,” she said.
Diaz has offered several reasons for why she ultimately chose to make another movie — Foxx being her costar in Back in Action among them. However, she further explained why she ultimately made the choice to step back onto the silver screen.
“It’s a privilege to do this,” she told host Graham Norton about acting. “I just said to myself, if I just let this go, all of this goodwill, all of this which I got to build over so much time, the passion that I have for entertaining people and making movies that [make] people smile and laugh and have a good time, and they sit in the theater or they sit at home and it moves them — if I don’t engage in that again and give that a chance and participate in it and be grateful for it, I would be a fool.”
Despite her return, it’s undecided if this will be a permanent career move for the actress. “This is maybe the beginning, maybe I’ll tiptoe in, maybe I’ll go gung-ho, we’ll see,” she said. “It’s here and I’m really grateful for it.”
Earlier this month, a source told Us Weekly that Diaz’s decision to act again “evolved over time,” adding, “It wasn’t sudden.”
In a December 2024 interview with Empire, Diaz shared that it was “hard to say” if she’d do another movie after Back in Action, saying, “I reserve the right to say no to doing a movie ever again, and I reserve the right to say yes if I decide to.”
Cher Gopman, previously known by reality TV fans as Cher Hubsher, made a name for herself after appearing on the MTV series My Super Sweet 16 in 2007 — but she’s just now speaking out about her alleged experience on the show.
In a TikTok video shared on Saturday, January 18, the reality television alum claimed she was never paid a single cent for her time on the show.
In the social media post, Gopman mouths along with audio that says, “Since we’re all going to die, there’s one more secret I feel I have to share with you.” She then gestures at a photo of herself on the series and a caption that reads, “Since TikTok is getting banned I’ll tell you how much money I made being on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16.” She then mouths “Zero” as “$0” flashes on screen.
Gopman’s episode aired January 15, 2007. Her appearance on the popular reality series helped pave the way for her to land a series of small acting parts on TV shows, including The Amityville Terror, Blind Thoughts, and Small Fish.
The show wasn’t Gopman’s only foray into reality television, either. She and her mother, Dawn Hubsher, joined the cast of sMothered in 2019 ahead of her daughter’s birth the same year.
After working in healthcare for several years before becoming a life coach and social media personality, Gopman has amassed nearly 400,000 followers on TikTok, where most of her content is originally shared.
Gopman has been an outspoken supporter of the platform, which is set to go dark in the United States on Sunday, January 19, after the Supreme Court TKTKTK. On Friday, January 17, she shared a video featuring herself and her young daughter at the airport and captioned it, “Us moving to China since TikTok is getting banned.”
After a commenter noted that TikTok is also banned in China, Gopman shared a second video on Saturday that also featured her mother. “Us leaving America since Tiktok is getting banned,” she wrote.
Gopman and her mother are the co-authors of the 2019 book A Bond That Lasts Forever. In an interview for the book, Gopman told Tinseltown Mom, “My mom and I have always been close. Of course we had our ups and downs like any mother and daughter relationship and we got in our fair share of arguments during my teenage years, however it is how we got through the tough times that made us so much stronger.”
She also credited her mother with helping her find her voice as a young woman and instead often asked her opinion on different topics. “It made me realize that I had a voice and that she cared about it. She always wanted to spend quality time with me, which made me feel very special early on,” she explained.
Reality television star Heidi Montag opened up to Us Weekly in an exclusive interview about what she took — and what she wishes she didn’t leave behind — while evacuating the L.A. wildfires.
“I didn’t know what to do,” The Hills alum told Us on Wednesday, January 15, referring to the moment she realized she and her family had to flee the uncontrolled fire burning through the Pacific Palisades. “Nothing could have prepared me for that … You just can’t wrap your head around it. I started just packing things that made sense — I wasn’t really thinking about anything else.”
Heidi, 38, and her husband, Spencer Pratt, lost their home in the fire, according to an initial Instagram post shared by Spencer’s sister, Stephanie Pratt, on January 7. Heidi and Spencer, 41, share children Gunnar, 7, and Ryker, 2.
Heidi revealed that in a panic, her priority when packing up their lives was “the kids’ stuff.”
“So I got their teddy bears. I randomly had, from the tooth fairy, Gunner’s teeth that he left in my closet, so I grabbed that,” she explained. “I grabbed a few documents that we had – those pre-packed [ones] from years ago from the [previous] fires. I grabbed two pairs of jeans and two shirts. I grabbed a pair of shoes — a random pair of sneakers.”
In the couple’s haste, they also were forced to leave a multitude of beloved items behind — items that are now destroyed. One item, Spencer explains, was a special Christmas present he had convinced his wife to purchase for herself.
“She got herself nothing,” he told Us. “Then, right before Christmas, she got herself these Golden Goose shoes in the Palisade Village. It was her big gift. I was like, ‘Just get your Golden Goose.’ She didn’t.
Heidi explained that she thought she would be able to “be back for them.”
“It hit me at the end of packing that I might not come back,” she added. “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I need to go in the kids’ room and I need to grab their bears. And I had Gunner, he had a 104 fever — he had that for days — and I was just so preoccupied with him … [I was] just grabbing things and worrying and aimlessly wandering.”
In addition to her new shoes, Heidi said she wishes she had grabbed “photos” that she explained she can no longer get back.
“I have no photos,” she said. “I have all these photo albums that I made fo rSpencer before there was Instagram and TikTok and iPhone. These photos [that] I’ll never have again. All these sentimental things are just gone, you know?”
To date, the Palisades, Eaton and other smaller fires have burned a combined 38,600 acres, according to NBC News. At least 27 people have died and 12,000 structures have been destroyed. Multiple celebrities, including Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Paris Hilton and Miles Teller, lost their homes in the blaze.
For Heidi and Spencer, it’s not the “stuff” they miss as much as it is their community.
“I miss our friends. I miss our daily life. I miss dropping my son off at school there. I miss our whole world and I’m so sad for all of our friends,” she tells Us through tears. “I’m so sad for our entire community. It’s not just our loss — it’s literally the loss of our city; a community that we all are such an active part of.”
She continued, “[It’s] just the daily routine [that] you miss — waking up in your bed with your mirrors and your pillows and the smells of your house and the children. It’s so hard.”
