Take a little time to enjoy The View — on the weekends.

ABC announced on Wednesday, January 8, that America’s most-watched daytime network talk show will expand into weekends with a new streaming series titled The Weekend View.

Premiering on Saturday, January 11, the 30-minute show will be hosted by the talk show’s Friday panel including moderator Joy Behar and cohosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.

Whoopi Goldberg will continue moderating “Hot Topics” on The View Mondays through Thursdays.

Sara Haines Says a Former ‘View’ Cohost Made the Show ‘Uncomfortable’

According to ABC, The Weekend View will focus on the biggest stories in entertainment and the buzziest news topping social media feeds.

With all-new “Hot Topics” not explored during the week, the ladies promise to share their unique takes on a variety of topics with their own candor and humor.

“In addition to having its most-watched linear season in four years, The View is finding success meeting viewers wherever they get their content,” executive producer Brian Teta said in a statement. “From podcasts to YouTube, and now with new exclusive streaming content for the weekend on ABC News Live.”

While The View has found success in the ratings by discussing politics, The Weekend View is expected to take on a lighter approach with its topics.

“We’re following what we’ve seen be successful on ABC News Live on the weekends,” Karin Gilford, senior vice president of Digital Media, ABC News Group and Disney Entertainment Networks, told Variety in an interview published January 8. “On Saturdays and Sundays, it’s sort of the more a lighter feel. They’re still covering all the stories of the week, but in a little bit of a different tone. So it’ll be the same show format. We’ll cover the hot topics, but it will lean a little bit more into pop culture on the weekends.”

Fans of The View will likely get to see the cohosts discuss their favorite celebrities.

In previous episodes, Hostin, 56, has voiced her support for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s love story while Navarro, 53, has shined a light on her friendships with stars like Eva Longoria and Gloria Estefan.

As for Farah Griffin, 35, she is a self-proclaimed Swiftie who loves reality TV. Her recent favorite shows include The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Dancing With the Stars.

The Weekend View streams on ABC News Now Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. ET and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Jonathan Van Ness Is on Weight Loss Drug Amid Binge-Eating Disorder

Jonathan Van Ness is taking weight-loss medication to help him deal with a binge-eating disorder that, he says, caused him to rapidly gain and lose weight in the past.

The hairstylist and Queer Eye alum, 37, shared in a post via TikTok on Wednesday, January 8 that he is using a GLP-1, a category of medication that includes Ozempic and is used to treat diabetes and aid in weight loss.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, GLP-1 medications mimic the GLP-1 hormone that the small intestine makes naturally. The hormone slows stomach emptying and increases how full you feel after eating.

“Alright, I have a confession to make. Yes, I am on a GLP-1 or a weight-loss medication,” Van Ness said in his post. “If you have been following me for a long time, you’ll know that I gained and lost weight several times very publicly. And this time in my life, I knew that I needed a little bit of extra help.”

While Van Ness said he tried taking the medication as a pill in the past, it did not work. Now, he’s using an injectable GLP-1.

“With everything I’ve been through publicly and privately in the last couple years, I gained quite a bit of weight, wasn’t feeling good,” Van Ness added. “The most important thing was, my binge-eating disorder was out of control.”

He continued, “I was consistently making decisions that I regretted with compulsive eating and with bingeing that just left me feeling really not good, depressed and out of control.”

Van Ness began taking the injections in September and he says he “felt immediately better.”

“I, for the first time in my life, have had control over my food intake,” he explained. “It has helped me so massively, and that’s part of why I wanna be honest with you about it because I know how important asking for help is, and how much asking for help can change your life in terms of healing. This time, I needed help.”

Van Ness added that he had Dr. Terry Simpson, a surgeon and culinary medicine expert, on his “Getting Curious” podcast this week to talk more about weight loss medications and whether they are the “future of weight loss and metabolic health” or “just another wellness trend.”

“I got so many questions, so we will be revisiting this,” he said. “We love you, I love you, and thank you for listening, and I wish you all a good day.”

Get Kate Middleton's Knee-High Boot Look for 97% Less on Amazon

Kate Middleton may seem like someone with whom we have nothing in common with, but when it comes to fashion that isn’t entirely true! Sure, from time to time she’ll wear crowns and ball gowns, but at others she’s dressing just like the rest of Us. A style that every girl needs in her closet, Middleton wore a classic pair of knee high boots for winter — and we found a similar style for 97% less!

It may have been last winter she was seen wearing the boots, but they’re one of those cold weather staples we all need. Pulling together a look that mixed both modern and timeless English women style, the Princess of Wales wore a black lightweight turtleneck, a brown Sportsmax coat and a deep olive midi skirt, which she added a Ralph Lauren croc belt too.

Her whole outfit is a slay but the one thing that we could really use this winter are a chic pair of knee high boots and her look was just the inspiration we were looking for. Her Gianvito Rossi suede style comes in at a staggering $1,995 price point. Thankfully, we don’t have to spend all that when this lookalike is just $65 on Amazon.

Jennifer Lopez Elevates Baggy Jeans With a Fitted Turtleneck

Making recreating her look easy, we can barely tell the difference between her designer style and the Easyfox Knee High Pointed Toe Boots. Just like the princess’s, this boot features a pointed toe design, knee-high length and chunky block heel. It also comes in a similar black suede fabric — a true lookalike for her style!

One thing we love about the short, block heel on these boots is how easy it makes them to walk in. Another thing that makes them walking-friendly is their anti-slip rubber sole and roomy pointed toe. They’re made of a faux leather material for durability and a soft inner lining as well. Great for harsh winter weather, the leather makes them waterproof as well.

Easy to get in and out of, the boots have a simple zip-up design on the inner leg. Further than just black, the boots come in several other neutral tones as well like olive, brown, nude and black. Find them in sizes 6 to 11.

They don’t have tons of ratings yet, but the ones that are there are really good! In fact, one reviewer of the boots said that they “look more expensive in person.”

“I love these boots,” they said. “They are so comfortable right out of the box. I wore them to work today and I got so many compliments!”

Katie Holmes Can’t Stop Wearing This $795 Tote — a $39 Lookalike

Middleton gave us inspiration on how to style them with a midi skirt and turtleneck, but rest assured they’ll go with way more than that! They can be extra elevated with things like sweater dresses and slip dresses for the office or winter weddings. They can also be made casual too, when worn with leggings, jeans and sweaters for an afternoon at the winery with friends. They’re a true closet staple!

Zac Efron's Sweetest Family Photos With His Siblings Over the Years

Zac Efron has enjoyed many adventures with his family over the years — and luckily he documented the special bonding moments.

Efron — who is an older brother to Dylan, Olivia and Henry — has recalled how his siblings and parents supported him throughout his career.

“My family’s my rock. I know that they’re not going anywhere. More and more I rely on my little brother to keep me grounded,” he shared during a 2013 interview. “I know my family’s always going to be there, and then there’s also some times when life changes, they can’t always be there for you in the way that you need, so I rely on my friends.”

Years later, Efron revealed the important life lessons that he learned from his family.

“My parents love me in very different ways. But they checked every box. My dad always taught me to be driven,” he told Elle in 2016. “I was always the shortest kid at school. Always the worst kid on the team. I’d come home after practice and my dad would build a basketball hoop. Then we’d go out and shoot 100 free throws. Pretty soon every time I got fouled I would make my free throws.”

While he loves his own family — and is a great older brother — Efron admitted he’s not quite ready to have children of his own.

“I have a healthy respect for parents, very grateful for them all,” he said during a May 2022 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I love you so much, Mom.”

The actor's loved ones — including his mother, father and older brother — showed their support for Efron when he received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. During the event, Efron also reflected on how his bond with Dylan influenced his role as wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich in The Iron Claw.
"I can't say it didn't come into play," he told Entertainment Tonight. "This movie's about brothers, at the core of it, and you know, I'm a big brother myself. I love him to death. But there's a certain kind of relationship — it's just the brother bond."
Efron continued: "So, of course I thought about him a lot over the course of this movie. And I know that that connection, in the movie, is something that Kevin Von Erich really appreciated about it, so it makes me proud."

Stephen Baldwin Was Too Embarrassed to Say 'Special Forces' Was 'Too Hard'

Stephen Baldwin wasn’t on Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test for the right reasons — at least if you ask soldiers and stars Billy Billingham and Rudy Reyes.

“I think he’s a classic example of, ‘Oh, my God, this is real.’ He was not expecting that. He liked when he was doing something that looked James Bond–ish,” Billingham said in a joint interview with Reyes at Us Weekly’s NYC studio on Thursday, January 9.

“[Or] heroic,” Reyes added.

While Baldwin, 58, was the first to exit during the Wednesday, January 8, premiere, he did find brief success on the Fox show while completing the first task.

“Diving onto a helicopter, yeah, he did well on it. Great, well done. But when it comes to the rest of it, carrying the [military backpack] and running, being wet, he did not wanna know [anything about it],” Billingham told Us. “When he got uncomfortable, he was looking for excuses. We’ve heard a million excuses. We hear it all the time. He was looking for an easy way out where he didn’t have to embarrass himself by saying, ‘This is too hard.’ And the truth is, it was too hard. He’s 50-something years old, but I mean, I’m older than him.”

Stephen Baldwin Exits 'Special Forces' Early After Bizarre Doctor Showdown

Baldwin was part of the Wales production for less than 24 hours when he started to complain about a potential injury to the show doctor. When the doctor offered to examine him, however, Hailey Bieber’s dad had a bizarre breakdown about a future role that he could not get injured for.

“What’s awesome about this program, Special Forces, is it really is a window into military life,” Reyes told Us. “When you watch military movies, it’s combat, it’s badass, it’s heroic. Most of military life is disciplined or hurrying up as fast as possible to make a timeline. It’s cleaning, it’s taking orders and it’s going on long hikes and walks. It’s uncomfortable. It’s not glamorous. Our course is the same way. Of course, we do some really badass helicopter work, ocean work, things from heights and cliff assaults, things of that nature. And that’s the more exotic stuff. But the day-to-day is showing up where you’re supposed to show up, listening to what needs to get done and then executing it.”

Billingham added that some cast members, like Baldwin, are not “used to being called out.”

Stephen Baldwin Gushes Over 'Plump Potato' Grandson Jack Blues Bieber

“I don’t think he likes being called out. At the end of the day, what we say is what we see,” he explained. “He’s getting shouted at for a reason. He’s getting pushed for a reason. And he didn’t like it. He’s used to stopping when he wants, doing what he wants. That didn’t happen. And that reality kicked in quickly with him. And not only was he fighting the elements and what we were pulling through, he’s finding his own mind of how he’s portraying himself and how he’s gonna work his way out of this. We see it a million times, you can tell straight away. And it’s generally the men that do it. Women just go [with the] mindset, ‘We’re getting on with this.’”

Billingham went on to note that Baldwin is a “smart guy” but didn’t want to admit he was in too deep.

Meet ‘Special Forces’ Season 3 Cast: Trista Sutter, Stephen Baldwin and More

“He must have done his research. Apparently he’s done quite a bit [of military training] before [for roles]. Must have spoken to people who’ve been on the show. So he knew what he was coming into, but the reality of thinking he knew and then turning up, that’s what caught him,” he said. “And he was like, ‘Oh, how do I work my way out of this?’”

Baldwin officially exited after a bizarre confrontation with the show doctor, in which he got visibly angry about not wanting to risk injury for an upcoming role.

“I think after that conversation with the doctor, the doctor had PTSD,” Billingham concluded with a laugh.

The World’s First Fully Automated Toothbrush for Kids Makes Brushing Fun and Easy

Getting kids into the habit of properly brushing their teeth can be tough, but the Willo AutoFlo+ Fully Automated Kids Toothbrush Starter Kit is one solution you might not have tried yet. Created by a team of oral health experts, it’s the world’s first children’s toothbrush that uses fully automatic brushing, doing the hard work for your little ones without the extra stress. This futuristic system was specifically made to help kids — but wouldn’t blame you if you felt tempted to snag one for yourself, too.

“For many families, toothbrushing is an all-too-familiar daily struggle,” Willo explains. “Parents find themselves locked in a routine that requires constant reminders, supervision and time spent ensuring their children maintain good oral hygiene.”

This high-tech toothbrush, which looks similar to a mouth guard surrounding the teeth, is meant to make the process a bit easier. With 34,000 optimally positioned bristles and an OptiClean brush head that gently cleans around each tooth, the kit is clinically proven to remove “seven times more plaque in the hard-to-reach areas than a manual toothbrush.” Just one push of an easy-to-use button and the AutoFlo+ automatically dispenses the perfect amount of toothpaste. There’s also a continuous suction to remove any liquid accumulated during the process and the toothbrush head comes in three different sizes, ensuring it will fit your little one’s mouth.

Parents who have purchased this toothbrush continue to wonder how they ever lived without it.

“I know the price is high, but so are other electric toothbrush brands,” one five-star reviewer wrote. “We spent my son’s whole life fighting to brush teeth. He has no issue with using this. No gag reflex and no sensory issue, it’s been well worth it for our family.”

“As a mom of an autistic boy, this is a lifesaver,” another noted. “I recently switched to Willo, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s truly a game-changer in oral hygiene! First, it ensures even coverage across all my kid’s teeth and gums. I love how effective it is at cleaning.”

Parents of more than one child say that while morning and nighttime routines used to be “a total hassle,” the Willo set changed that.

“I’d constantly be nagging them to brush, and even then, I had to double-check if they were actually brushing or just fooling around in the bathroom,” one person admitted. “It took up so much time! But ever since we got the Willo toothbrush, everything’s changed. The kids actually love brushing now, and I don’t have to hover or worry if they’re doing it right. My youngest even insists on brushing multiple times a day! This toothbrush is a game-changer for any parent!”

If your kiddos hate brushing their teeth, add the Willo AutoFlo+ Fully Automated Kids Toothbrush to cart now. The switch allows them to have fun while practicing good oral hygiene, and you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing they’re getting a deep clean.

Zach Bryan Slams Trolls for 'Attacking' His Friends: 'Weird as Hell'

Zach Bryan Goes Off
Zach Bryan Scott Legato/Getty Images

Zach Bryan is coming to his friends’ defense after claiming they’ve been attacked online following his split from Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.

“All of you f—in weird couch warriors attacking and belittling my friends on the internet because you’re assuming I have a girlfriend are weird as hell and should be studied for science,” Bryan, 28, wrote via a lengthy Instagram Story rant on Thursday, January 9. “Everyone wonders why I quit touring and don’t want to be attached to music anymore, meanwhile you’re calling my friends ugly and harassing them?”

Bryan added that he wasn’t searching for “sympathy” but wanted to condemn the “low and messed up” actions of going after his pals.

“Apparently I’ve [had] four different girlfriends in like two weeks, meanwhile my friends and me are just laughing and hanging out like we always have,” he wrote before clarifying his current relationship status. “I don’t have a girlfriend and don’t plan on having a girlfriend, however I do have normal friends that I love very much and would go to the ends of the earth for.”

Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry’s Breakup: What Went Wrong?

Bryan continued his rant by encouraging others to “go give your attention and time to the literal city burning down,” seemingly referring to the ongoing Los Angeles fires.

“Stop being so sad and fickle and childish through screens. Last thing I’ll ever say on this. Insane I even have to,” he wrote. “You do not know me. You never will know me. Stop acting like you do.”

The singer added that instead of attacking people in his inner circle, his critics should speak about him instead because he can handle it.

“I am allowed to have love, laughter and good people in my life. No matter how bad of a person you think I am, go ahead and come for me. I can take all the hatred because I’m not a child,” he wrote in a subsequent Instagram Story. “But do not come for my friends who do nothing but love and care for me. Everyone wants you to have fun and make great music but you guys are making it really hard to do that with my friends getting insulted and death threats everyday.”

Bryan shared that he’s “worked really hard” for his success, but the constant chatter from social media makes him want to remain out of the spotlight.

“Whether you think I deserve it or not. Whether you think I suck or not. Stop being such sad and fat fingered internet sleuths to my friends,” he wrote. “We’re all humans and I’m so tired of people thinking social media is a way to have a moral high ground on people THEY’VE never met? Guess people aren’t humans any more since they can hide behind screens? Weird a–holes man ok I’m done.”

Bryan, in fact, was not done. He shared one more note stating that he didn’t want others to give him tips on how to “handle something or things they’ve never coped with” themselves.

“I lost my mother, I’ve been in war zones and I’ve battled this whole fame thing for five years. Respectfully, I don’t need your unsolicited advice, I am a grown man. I promise I can get through some little bullies on the internet,” he wrote. “I am so terrifyingly unphased by the fake s— people say about me online but coming for people I love and care for is my line and final straw.”

Brianna Chickenfry Says ‘Don’t Date Famous People’ in Pre-Recorded Podcast

Bryan ended his rant by stating he was “hopping off” of social media “for a bit.”

Bryan made headlines late last year following his dramatic breakup from LaPaglia, 25. In October 2024, Bryan shared that he and the Barstool Sports personality called it quits after dating for more than a year. LaPaglia claimed that she was “blindsided” by the musician’s public announcement.

LaPaglia took a break from social media following the breakup, and Bryan has been laying low. One month after the split, LaPaglia returned to her “BFFs” podcast, where she gave insight into her dynamic with Bryan and claimed she was “emotionally abused” by the musician. (Us Weekly reached out to Bryan’s team at the time and received no response.)

Kaylee Hartung Gushes About Bond Between Female Reporters Across the NFL

As the number of prominent female reporters continues to grow across the NFL, Prime Video’s Kaylee Hartung gushed about the supportive community they have created with one another.

“It’s so cool,” Hartung, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of Prime Video’s first-ever playoff game broadcast between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, January 11. “It’s the most special group of women I’ve ever gotten to consider myself part of. I feel so lucky.”

Hartung is joined on the sidelines for Prime Video’s NFL coverage by Taylor Rooks, with Charissa Thompson anchoring the network’s coverage during pregame, postgame and halftime.

“It’s so genuine among us,” Hartung explained. “Charissa, Taylor and I all have very different skill sets. We have very different personalities. I think we’re able to work together and support each other in a way that is so special. There’s no competition. We are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.”

ESPN's Holly Rowe Happily Learned More About Taylor Swift Via NFL Coverage

Across the networks, other female reporters in places of prominence include Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews and Pam Oliver and CBS’ Tracy Wolfson and Kay Adams, who anchored Netflix’s inaugural Christmas Day coverage.

“We all just really get along and like each other,” Hartung told Us. “Charissa and I were friends before we were ever on Thursday Night Football together. I had never met Taylor before the first time everyone got together. But it was instant for all of us.”

Hartung, who also works as a contributor on NBC’s Today show, counts Sunday Night Football sideline reporter Melissa Stark as another encouraging colleague. When the duo worked together during the NFL Divisional Round playoff game between the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit’s Ford Field in January 2024, Hartung had a full circle moment of gratitude.

“We were sitting in the shuttle [on the way to the stadium] and I teared up in the cheesiest, silliest, most completely raw, emotional way,” Hartung recalled. “15-year-old me never could have imagined this. Melissa has been so supportive of me and I just appreciate that I can call her a friend. We’ll compare notes if I’ve got a team before her or if she’s got one before me.”

Why Kelly Stafford and Her 4 Girls Might Be 'Moving' Out Before Playoffs

Hartung also shouted out NBC’s Maria Taylor and ESPN’s Laura Rutledge, with whom she helped launch the SEC Network in 2014.

“I feel so lucky that our friendships have all endured,” she said. “I hope that we set an example for women younger than us. It’s such a competitive environment and there are only so many opportunities. But there is enough to go around.”

Hartung added, “At the end of the day, one of the things we all have in common is that we are all nice, welcoming, good people who are excited for each other’s successes and excited to cheer each other on.”

Hartung will be on the sideline for Prime Video’s first-ever playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers, which streams live on Saturday, January 11, at 7:30 pm ET.

What New Movies Are Coming Out in Winter 2025?

Winter Movie Preview
Jay Maidment/Universal Pictures; Peter Mountain/Studio Canal SAS; Sony Pictures Entertainment/YouTube

From the critically acclaimed The Last Showgirl to Bridget Jones: About a Boy, 2025 is transforming January from an infamous movie dead zone into a time for appointment viewing.

Historically, the start of each year isn’t the most exciting time for new releases. Studios tend to save their smaller budget films — ones that, say, might not make it to awards season — for the colder months, when the holidays are over, people are tired and staying in sounds much more appealing than shivering in a dark theater.

This year, however, things have seemingly shifted. January 2025 is starting off strong with the release of the already critically acclaimed The Last Showgirl, a film that is being lauded as star Pamela Anderson’s comeback and the greatest role of her career. The story follows Anderson as Shelley, a glamorous showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run.

“I can relate to it on so many different levels. As a mother, as a person in this industry,” Anderson told Deadline in September 2024. “Most of my career has been about the external, and not the soul of what really happens behind the superficial qualities that people even hire you for, or know you for. And you’re always just like, there’s so much more to me than what people see and I don’t know if you’re ever gonna get the chance to show that, so that was really why I was so excited about this movie… I feel like a new baby in this industry in this film and I feel like it’s just the beginning.”

25 Pop Culture Events to Look Forward to in 2025

February, meanwhile, features the return of Bridget Jones with the highly-anticipated About a Boy just in time for Valentine’s Day. The next installment of the franchise sees Renée Zellweger reprising her role as the titular character navigating life after the death of her husband, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).
