‘Jane The Virgin’ Cast: Where Are They Now?
The CW’s Jane the Virgin was a telenovela-inspired romantic comedy that enthralled fans with its soapy plot twists and love triangles. Created by Jennie Snyder Urman, the Golden Globe-nominated TV show first came on the scene in 2014 and lasted for five seasons before its satisfying conclusion.
The series’ cast was led by Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni and Brett Dier in main roles, with scene-stealing supporting performances by Yara Martinez, Bridget Regan, Anthony Mendez and so many more. Rodriguez, for her part, starred as the titular character, Jane Villanueva. In the series premiere, Jane is a 23-year-old virgin who learns she’s pregnant after accidentally being artificially inseminated by her doctor. In a split second, Jane’s entire life changes — as do her relationships with her boyfriend (and eventual husband), Michael Cordero (Dier), and the baby’s father, Rafael Solano (Baldoni).
The show became a major hit and led plenty of its cast members to stardom, including a Golden Globe trophy for Rodriguez.
“It’s interesting — but fun! This is a real thing families deal with this all the time, new people coming in. I love the way our show delicately and educationally the subject,” the Man Enough author exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2017 of playing Rafael and working on the dramedy. “[Rafael and I would] both take a bullet for our children. We want them to have better lives and opportunities than we did. But I wouldn’t compromise my beliefs or morals because I don’t place the same value on wealth and financial security that he does. The biggest difference is that I have a strong spiritual belief and Rafael doesn’t because he’s so hurt and broken.”
One thing that Baldoni wasn’t as excited about? Whenever the hotel owner needed to strip down. “I cringe when there’s a shirtless scene because I never feel I am in good enough shape,” he told Us at the time. “I struggle with the difference between how Justin looks and how Rafael is supposed to look. To me, I’ll always be the skinny kid with the narrow shoulders. I think it’s cool to talk about because a lot of men don’t.”
Jane the Virgin, which takes inspiration from classic telenovelas, aired its final episode in July 2019.
“We started shooting the first season of Jane in July 2014. A few days into shooting I turned 30 on set. Yesterday I turned 35. And today is the very last episodes, 99 and 100 airing of Jane The Virgin. Five years. Five years of love, laughter, growth, pain, surprises, deaths, new births and a s—t ton of memories,” Rodriguez wrote via Instagram amid the series finale. “I will never stop making art to bring Joy and Laughter into your home/train ride/plane ride or classroom! Art is my savior. Art is what makes me feel like I can fly. … I will always love you, Jane.”
Jane the Virgin launched plenty of careers and captured many hearts during its television tenure. Scroll down for a behind-the-scenes look at what the show’s stars have been up to since leaving the Marbella:

Kaitlin Olson Supports 'Honest' Blake Lively Amid Justin Baldoni Lawsuit
Kaitlin Olson is sharing her support for Blake Lively amid the actress’ lawsuit against It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni.
“@blakelively is a kind, lovely, honest and generous person (and an incredible mom) FYI,” Olson, 49, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, December 26, sharing The New York Times Reel breaking down their story regarding Lively’s lawsuit.
Lively, 37, sued Baldoni, 40, for sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed on December 20. The actress made a barrage of accusations against her It Ends With Us costar (and the film’s director) detailing what allegedly went down when cameras weren’t rolling and alleged that he orchestrated a smear campaign against her.
“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively shared in a statement to The New York Times.
Everything Justin Baldoni Has Said About Working With Blake Lively
Baldoni has since denied the contents of the complaint through his lawyer, Bryan Freedman, calling the allegations “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.” The attorney claimed in a statement to Us that Lively filed the suit to “fix her negative reputation” and “rehash a narrative” about what went down on the movie’s set.
Olson’s support for Lively comes amid their husbands joint business venture. Olson is married to Rob McElhenney, who co-owns the Wrexham AFC soccer team with Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds. (The pair bought the Welsh sports team in 2020 and star in a show titled Welcome to Wrexham which chronicles the trials and tribulations of the squad.)
Prior to her social media statement, Olson spoke with Us Weekly exclusively about her connection with Lively. Unfortunately, the two couples don’t double date that often.
“Everyone’s very, very busy,” Olson shared during the High Potential premiere in September. “I’ve met Blake twice.”
Every ‘It Ends With Us’ Star Who Addressed Blake Lively’s Lawsuit
Olson explained that she and McElhenney, 47, “live on a different coast” than Lively and Reynolds, 48.
“I would love to hang out with them both more often,” Olson added. “I love Ryan.”
Olson has appeared alongside her husband on Welcome to Wrexham more than once. She and their two sons — Axel, 14, and Leo, 12 — have also become soccer fans thanks to McElhenney’s big purchase.
“Honestly, it’s absolutely extraordinary. There’s nothing to compare it to,” Olson told Us of Wrexham. “It’s unlike anything we’ve ever done before, and this community is so wonderful. They are such wonderful people.”
The actress added: “If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly suggest it. They are so supportive of each other and supportive of their team. They’ve welcomed us like family, and I would do anything for them.”
How Did Amanda Knox Make Her Surprise Cameo in Peacock's 'Laid'?
Amanda Knox made a surprise appearance in Peacock’s Laid — but how did it come to be?
During the season finale, which premiered earlier this month, Zosia Mamet‘s character, AJ, accidentally scored a dinner with Knox, 37. AJ’s friend Ruby (Stephanie Hsu) surprised her in an attempt to mend things after sleeping with AJ’s on-and-off boyfriend.
“Your boyfriend said you always say, ‘If I could just have one hour with Amanda Knox,’” Knox told AJ in the scene. “Well, I’m Amanda Knox, and you have one hour.”
Mamet, 36, broke down the scene, telling IndieWire on December 21, “We kept the set very small that night because we didn’t want any spoilers and wanted to respect Amanda’s privacy. It wasn’t dissimilar to the scene that we shot.”
Did You Catch Sam Smith's Cameo on 'And Just Like That'?
The actress praised Knox’s involvement. “[Amanda’s] wonderful and so kind and so smart and so open about her experience,” Mamet added. “She’s a force. She’s one of the strongest people I’ve ever met.”
After the entire season was released on Peacock, Knox offered a glimpse of her cameo. “It was fun to take a break from courtroom drama to cameo in this TV comedy and do a scene with @zosiamamet,” she wrote via Instagram.
Knox was thrust into the spotlight in 2007 when she was accused of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher while they were studying abroad in Perugia, Italy. Knox was sentenced to 26 years in prison after she and then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were both convicted of the crime despite a lack of evidence.
An appellate court later found the former couple not guilty in 2011, but they were again found guilty three years later during a retrial. The Italian supreme court cleared Knox of Kercher’s murder in 2015, and she was exonerated.
Ivorian migrant Rudy Guede was sentenced in 2008 to 30 years for Kercher’s murder after his DNA was identified at the crime scene. His sentence was later reduced, and he was released from prison in November 2021.

During her interrogation in 2007, Knox, then 20, accused her then-boss Patrick Lumumba of the murder, which led to his arrest and two-week incarceration. Knox signed two statements prepared by police regarding this accusation before walking back the claims.
The European Court of Human Rights ruled in 2023 that Knox’s rights were violated during the interrogation that ultimately led to her accusation against Lumumba. As a result, Italy’s supreme court ordered a retrial at the appellate court level.
Knox was ultimately reconvicted of slander in June by an Italian court. She originally was convicted in 2009 of slander for falsely accusing Lumumba of murdering Kercher, and the appellate court upheld that conviction nearly two decades after Kercher’s murder.
Knox, who shares two kids with husband Christopher Robin, didn’t serve more jail time, given the four years she already spent behind bars following her wrongful imprisonment for Kercher’s murder.
Cosby Show’s Geoffrey Owens Still Struggles After Viral Trader Joe’s Job
The Cosby Show’s Geoffrey Owens is looking back on the moment he went viral for working at Trader Joe’s.
“At first, there was some negative stuff about basically the job shaming,” Owens, 63, shared earlier this month on V-103 Atlanta. “A ‘Where is he now?’ kind of thing. But then, very soon after that, there was all this support and encouragement from all over the world. Everybody was chiming in in a positive way.”
Owens played Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show from 1985 to 1992. He returned to the spotlight in 2018 when a customer took photos of the actor as he worked behind the register at a Trader Joe’s grocery store.
While Owens still finds himself acting and recently earned a role in the movie Mr. Santa: A Christmas Extravaganza, finances remain tight.
TV Shows Gone Too Soon: 'iCarly' and More
“I still struggle to make a living,” he said. “I struggle every day to make my ends meet, and people can’t get their heads around that because they see me in movies. … They don’t understand the specifics of how my industry works.”
Owens argued that people have a “false impression of what the average middle-class actor makes and their ability to make a living.”
“That’s what drove me to work at Trader Joe’s to begin with,” he explained. “I’m not much better off now than I was then.”
Before photos of Owens working at the grocery store surfaced, he decided to quit his job in fear that customers would continue to come in with cameras.
During his recent interview, however, The Poppa’s House actor said he returned to Trader Joe’s to see if they needed additional help.
“Trader Joe’s is a wonderful place to work and in fact, I’ve gone back there since all this happened,” he shared. “I asked for hours to work there again.”
While it’s unclear if he got his job back, Owens remains grateful that he’s still able to work in a competitive Hollywood industry. He’ll also never forget the kindness from strangers and celebrities like Tyler Perry and 50 Cent who offered him work.

“For two weeks or more, I was one of the most famous people in the world,” he said. “I couldn’t go anywhere. Everywhere I went, people recognized me and said nice things to me.”
Owens also confirmed that he didn’t fully accept Nicki Minaj’s $20,000 donation to him after she heard about his story.
“I did give it to a charity,” he recalled about the “lovely, incredible” gesture. “At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do. … It didn’t seem right to keep it.”

Kirk Herbstreit Stirs Controversy for Criticism of Bears' Caleb Williams
Thursday Night Football analyst Kirk Herbstreit used the Thursday, December 26 slog between the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks to question the leadership of Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams — which left plenty of viewers at home puzzled.
Herbstreit, 55, was on the call for the game Thursday night, a sloppy affair that saw the Seahawks emerge victorious by a final score of 6-3 at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
During the third quarter, Herbstreit turned his attention to Williams, 23, who the Bears selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
“I think the thing that remains to be seen — and only time will tell — is if he understands what it takes to be an NFL quarterback as far as the preparation, as far as first guy there, last guy to leave,” Herbstreit pondered to broadcast partner Al Michaels.
Kirk Herbstreit's Beloved Dog Ben, an ESPN Fixture, Has Died of Cancer
Herbstreit then explained he had no real reason for questioning anything about Williams and his integrity inside the Bears facility.
“I’m not suggesting he’s not doing those things,” he continued, “but just all of the little things that really make the great quarterbacks special.”
The comments made by Herbstreit did not sit well with many on social media, especially Bears fans.
One wrote via X, “Kirk Herbstreit suggested that it’s still uncertain whether Caleb Williams can handle the preparation and be the first one in and the last one out type of guy. Then he noted that he hasn’t heard anything to suggest Williams isn’t that type of player. So why bring it up at all?”
Another said of Herbstreit, “Why would you suggest he’s not putting in the time, unless you have an idea if he is or he isn’t?”
“Kirk Herbstreit has so obviously done 0 prep work on the Bears and Caleb’s season so far,” one viewer deduced.
It has been a rough season for Williams and the Bears, who lost their 10th game in a row on Thursday night, dropping them to 4-12, the second-worst record in the NFC.
Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams' Love Life: What We Know
Williams finished the game against the Seahawks 16-for-28 for 122 yards and one interception. As the clock ran out, the quarterback and his teammates were booed off the field in their final home appearance of the season.
“It’s my first year. Their frustrations go way longer back than I’ve been here,” Williams told reporters after the game. “My job is to go out there and win games, and, you know, we don’t focus on outside noise.”
He continued, “Fans are going to cheer and maybe boo sometimes, and you can’t react to that. It’s not something that we react to. We have a job to do.”
The Bears close out the season on Sunday, January in Green Bay against the Packers.
Drew Carey Reacts to 'Judgmental' Crowd During 'The Price Is Right'
Drew Carey couldn’t help but notice how the Price Is Right audience reacted to a recent contestant’s playing style.
The game show uploaded a clip via its official Instagram earlier this month of a player named Brian who was participating in the classic game Switcheroo. Brian was tasked with selecting the missing number from five prizes — including a car. He had 30 seconds to decide which numbers he wanted to put in each square and Brian decided to take his time and think things out.
“25 seconds,” Carey said to let Brian know how much time he had left on the clock and the crowd was yelling for the contestant to keep going. “20 seconds. He’s not rushing as much as everyone else that plays this game does.”
Brian finished the puzzle with 10 seconds to spare. Carey counted down the remaining seconds on the clock and when the buzzer went off the crowd reacted negatively to Brian’s answers — which took the host by surprise.
Drew Carey Says Many 'Price Is Right' Contestants Show Up Drunk or High
“Well good morning judgmental,” Carey quipped which earned a laugh from the audience.
Carey went on to check Brian’s work and revealed that he had two correct despite the crowd’s lack of faith.
“Now one of [the correct answers] might be the car. Do you want another 30 seconds to try [again]?” Carey asked and Brian agreed. “Let’s put another 30 seconds on the clock. Get ready to Switcheroo them up. 3, 2, 1 go!”
Brian ran back to the board to re-examine his answers and change what he thought could be potentially wrong. He looked to the crowd for their opinions on what he should swap. Brian changed the price of the car first and the audience shouted at him in disagreement.
“The crowd is going bananas and he put the 2 back,” Carey narrated as Brian opted to go back to his original number for the car.
After switching the car number back, Brian ultimately decided to change his answers for the ice scraper and pillow prizes before time ran out. Carey had Brian’s answers checked again. Despite making changes, Brian only had one correct.
“Uh oh,” Brian said and Carey replied, “Hopefully it is the car.”
The Price Is Right's Biggest Mistakes and Wildest Moments Over the Years
The Switcheroo board revealed that the one answer Brian had gotten right was indeed the vehicle, which was a Toyota Corolla.
“Oh my God!” Brian exclaimed and ran around the stage in excitement.
Carey has been the host of The Price Is Right since 2007 following Bob Barker’s retirement. Over the years, Carey has seen an array of wild moments on the CBS game show from wild answers to on-stage injuries. As the show continues to run, Carey doesn’t see himself retiring from the gig anytime soon.
“I just show up and punch the clock and hope I have a job every day,” Carey said in a June interview with TV Insider. “I don’t think in terms of I’m the longest one. I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die. This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41 so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak.”

Which Shows Did Paramount+ Remove in Latest Streaming Purge?
Paramount+ has removed more than a dozen TV shows from its streaming service — but which ones are now gone?
Most of the titles removed were from Nickelodeon, according to Deadline. The outlet confirmed that Big Time Rush, House of Anubis, Doug, Blue’s Room, Kung-Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Fanboy & Chum Chum, The Penguins of Madagascar, Game Shakers and Breadwinners are some of the network’s programming that was removed.
The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rugrats, AwesomenessTV, Welcome to the Wayne, Wonder Pets, Let’s Just Play: Go Healthy Challenge and Zoofari were also some of the series’ targeted for children and tweens that didn’t make the cut.
This is just the latest purge for Paramount+. The streaming platform previously cut a large number of children’s TV shows in March including the animated Rugrats reboot, Big Nate, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Blue’s Clues & You!, Ryan’s Mystery Playdate and That Girl Lay-Lay. One month prior, the live-action Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, The Real World: Homecoming, No Activity, Coyote, Interrogation and The Twilight Zone disappeared were axed before Paramount’s merger with Showtime.
Starz Cancels 'Shining Vale,' Will Remove Show From Streaming Service
Streamers such as Hulu, Disney+ and Max have made headlines in the past for their decision to cancel shows and subsequently remove them from their services. Hulu surprised users when it announced its plan to wipe shows which were canceled after one season from its platform. The plan was originally announced in May 2023 as a corporate-wide strategy to cut streaming costs.
“As we grow the business in terms of the global footprint, we realized that we made a lot of content that is not necessarily driving sub growth,” Disney CEO Robert Iger said in a statement at the time. “We’re getting much more surgical about what it is we make.”
The decision came after the HBO Max merge which combined WarnerMedia (owner of HBO Max) and Discovery (owner of Discovery+) to create a new company called Warner Bros. Discovery. Max, which was previously called HBO Max, quietly removed several original movies from the streaming service, including Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse‘s Moonshot and the 2020 remake of The Witches starring Anne Hathaway.
Changes have also taken place over at The CW after it was acquired by Nexstar. In May 2022, chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz addressed speculation that the network, which launched in 2006 as a merger between the WB and UPN, would be sold amid major show cancellations.
TV Shows Ending in 2023: See the Complete List
“Look, none of these were easy decisions. We had long conversations with our studios and parent companies, and everyone recognized that this was a time of transition for The CW,” he told reporters. “So unfortunately, some difficult financial and strategic decisions needed to be made at every level.”
Three months later, Nexstar CEO Perry Sook confirmed the company’s purchase of The CW. Sook explained that Nexstar planned to appeal to an older audience compared to The CW’s previous target demographic.
“As many of you are aware, The CW is currently the lowest-rated broadcast network, which we believe largely reflects the fact that its programming is targeted for an 18-to-34 audience demographic, while the average age of the CW broadcast viewer is 58 years,” he said in a statement. “Over time, we’ll be taking a different approach to our CW programming strategy.”
All of The CW’s original programming — besides All American — has since come to an end. The CW now largely relies on Canadian imports and non-scripted content.

Inside Hollywood’s Treatment Center and What the $165,000 Price Tag Entails
Richard Taite, an addiction expert and owner of Carrara Treatment Spa & Wellness Center — a luxury rehab facility in California — is giving Us an inside look at where some celebrities go to rehab and what a stay at Carrara would look like.
“They all have 1000 thread count sheets, all Egyptian cotton sheets,” Taite recently told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview. “You’ll walk in and you’ll see their Carrara chocolate on top of their robe. And it’s not like the robes that you get in some lame spa.”
Carrara’s $165,000 a month price tag includes many workout class options such as tai chi, special forms of yoga, pilates, as well as several pools, a spa, flowers from French Florist — and one can’t forget the $600 candles! Plus, you can even bring your dog.
There’s also no shortage of skin care treatments at the wellness center. “You know that you could be at Carrara for 30 days and get a treatment every single day and not get the same treatment? I’m talking facials, scrubs, wraps, massages, different variations of all of it,” he said.
Celebrities Who Have Been to Rehab
Taite said he received around 2,000 resumes to be the chef, but once he saw a woman who previously worked as Stevie Wonder’s personal chef, he hired her “on the spot.” He then told the “amazing” woman he wanted the food centered around a blue zone diet because “part of self-care is what we put in our bodies.”
A “blue zone diet” is mostly plant-based, focusing on unprocessed foods designed to improve overall health. Carrara follows this by incorporating lots of fresh ingredients into its menu.
“It’s Mediterranean food … [the chef] made boiled salmon and Chilean sea bass with lotus root and kale and all these different delicious exotic vegetables,” he said of the food served at Carrara. “It’s organic, and it’s prepared fresh every day, and it’s prepared with love every day, [by] somebody [that] actually cares.”
Taite also noted that the treatment center isn’t all lavish.
“People come to treatment, and they’re completely broken, they’re shame based. They feel they’ve donkeyed off their entire life,” he said. “When people come into treatment, they need to be loved, nurtured and respected and supported, empathized, [be given] compassion and attuned to one’s needs before they know they have a need. That is the important thing. Now, Carrara is built for people who absolutely positively have to have the finest experience under these difficult circumstances.”
He continued, “It’s not just for people who have to have the best of everything … It’s for people that have to have the single most comfortable experience they can humanly possibly have under these difficult circumstances.”
Taite is the former owner of Cliffside Malibu, where he worked with celebrities like Scott Disick and Oscar De La Hoya. Taite’s passion for helping people with addiction stems from his own understanding and experience of what it was like being an addict for two decades. Carrara Treatment Spa & Wellness Center offers three locations in L.A. and one in Malibu.
