"My hope was always that Kyle and I will be able to work through our issues and come out the other side," Kemsley tells PEOPLE

"Once he made the decision to get sober and to take the journey, things became very clear, and he had a lot of work to do on himself," Dorit tells PEOPLE

"I realized that we were just taking bites out of each other the whole f---ing time," PK said of how his sobriety affected their split. "I had a lot of resentment"
