Play-Doh World one of four new games coming to Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade is getting four new games next month, with Play-Doh World topping the bill. Apple says this and the other games will be available from August 7.

The other new titles are Worms Across Worlds, the latest addition to the Worms franchise; the 3D puzzle game Let’s Go Mightycat!; and Everybody Shogi, described as a vibrant strategy game based on the traditional Japanese board game …

iPhone 17 Air to get a ‘barely blue’ color option, suggests leaker

A leaker with a mixed track record has suggested that the “main” color option for the upcoming iPhone 17 Air will be a “very light” blue.

They go on to say that the color will be so faint that it will simply appear to be white in some lights. This seems reminiscent of “barely blue” colors we’ve seen from Apple before …

Following hiccup, macOS Tahoe 26 developer beta 3 is now available for Apple Silicon Macs

Earlier today, Apple released its new set of developer betas, but a distribution issue affected the Apple Silicon version of macOS Tahoe 26 developer beta 3. Now, the issue seems to have been resolved, and the update is now available for all compatible Macs.

How dead is FireWire support in macOS Tahoe 26? As dead as the iPod, as far as the Mac is concerned, which is at least a little sad. Stephen Hackett checked.

In classic 512 Pixels fashion, he’s conjured together a real world demonstration using a battle-tested FireWire 800 cable-connected drive, two Thunderbolt adapters including a Thunderbolt 2 to 3 dongle, and a Mac. Woof.
