  • "The Traitors" aired its finale and reunion this week.
  • "Love Is Blind" also concluded, as did "Paradise."
  • Movies like "Heretic" and "Rumours" are now streaming.

Several popular shows aired their finales this week.

The third season of Peacock's breakout (and Emmy-winning) reality competition hit "The Traitors" concluded, with a finale crowning a new set of winners and a reunion treating viewers to a rehashing of all the drama.

"Love Is Blind" also ended this week, wrapping up its eighth season with four weddings.

A few theatrical film releases, including the darkly comedic horror films "Heretic" and "Rumours," are now streaming too.

Here's a complete rundown of all the best movies, shows, and documentaries to stream this weekend, broken down by what kind of entertainment you're looking for.

If you like horror movies, watch "Heretic."

Hugh Grant plays the devious Mr. Reed, a man who ensnares two young Mormon missionaries (Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East) and forces them to entertain his theological debates. The villainous role is unlike anything you've ever seen from Grant, who's in turn terrifying and hilarious in "Heretic."

"Rumours" is another clever blend of horror and comedy.

Bleecker Street

The 2024 film, about a G7 summit gone extremely wrong, largely flew under the radar last year. In this sharp political satire, leaders of the world's most powerful democratic nations (a fabulous ensemble that includes Cate Blanchett, Alicia Vikander, and Charles Dance) find themselves lost in the woods together, where they have to face bog zombies, a giant brain, and their own general ineptitude.

Four couples made it to the altar for the "Love Is Blind" season eight weddings, but only one of those four actually said "I do."

On Sunday, tune into the reunion to see if the couple who got married is still together or if anyone reunited after filming.

Though the reception has been a mixed bag, Netflix has already ordered another season of the series. In the show, Markle channels her inner Martha Stewart, positioning herself for a next chapter as a would-be lifestyle and homemaking expert.

Catch up on "Paradise" and check out the finale.

One of 2025's first buzzy new TV shows wrapped up its first season this week. "Paradise" started with a big twist when it premiered in January. The finale resolved one big mystery, revealing who killed President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) but leaves plenty of threads open to pick up in the already ordered second season.

Streaming on: Hulu

For a new comedy, watch "Deli Boys."

"Deli Boys" is one of the funniest new shows in ages. The clever 30-minute comedy follows two Pakistani American brothers, Mir and Raj Dar, who inherit a convenience store chain after their father's unexpected death, only to find out that the family business was actually a front for a criminal enterprise.

Tracking Trump: Tariffs, Ukraine aid and the Panama Canal

7 March 2025 at 16:56
Chart: Axios Visuals

President Trump's tariff flip-flop, escalating tensions with Panama, and a controversial pause on aid to Ukraine dominated headlines this week.

Here's our recap of key developments.

Trump tariffs sweep

Trump's shifting position on tariffs rattled U.S. markets this week and incited a global trade war.

  • By some estimates, the president's tariffs on America's closest trading partners could cost the average U.S. household $830 a year. And that's before factoring in the cost of anticipated retaliatory tariffs.

The president on Tuesday imposed 25% tariffs on most imports from Mexico and Canada. He increased tariffs on China from 10% to 20%.

  • By Thursday, he reversed himself and paused tariffs on Mexican and Canadian imports covered by a North American trade agreement until April 2.

Trump's many words to Congress

Trump's first congressional address on Tuesday lasted nearly 100 minutes, making it the longest of its kind in recent history.

  • It felt like a typical stump speech from the president. He boasted about the executive order blitz that's upended American life and the nation's position on the world stage and touched on immigration, sports, DEI and foreign policy.
  • Elon Musk, current and former Supreme Court justices and members of Trump's Cabinet attended.

The Democrats' response to the speech sparked its own mini-news cycle.

  • Democratic Rep. Al Green (Texas) was ejected from the chamber early in the evening for heckling Trump. Other House members either walked out, held signs or wore pink. House leadership and Democrats didn't widely embrace the moves.
  • Axios' Hill team scooped that Democratic leadership privately scolded some members who defied orders not to make themselves the story. Ten Democrats joined every House Republican in a Thursday vote to censure Green.
  • Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) delivered her party's rebuttal,

Trump pauses aid to Ukraine

The caustic relationship between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky entered the next phase of volatility this week after a tense and televised meeting between the two last Friday.

  • Trump on Monday haltedโ€”at least temporarilyโ€”military assistance the U.S. pledged to Ukraine until a date is set for peace negotiations with Russia.
  • Zelensky agreed to a partial ceasefire on Tuesday, and Trump during his address to Congress, softened his tone on the Ukrainian president.

Negotiating with Hamas

The Trump administration is, for the first time, in direct talks with Hamas about the release of U.S. hostages held in Gaza and a wider deal to end the war, Axios' Barak Ravid reported exclusively on Wednesday.

Separately, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is launching an AI-fueled "Catch and Revoke" effort to cancel the visas of foreign nationals who appear to support Hamas or other designated terror groups, senior State Department officials told Axios' Marc Caputo.

Trump on Panama Canal

Panamanian President Josรฉ Raรบl Mulino accused Trump of "lying again" when he claimed Tuesday his administration will be "reclaiming" the Panama Canal.

  • "I reject in the name of Panama and all Panamanians this new affront to the truth and our dignity as a nation," Mulino said Wednesday in a post on X translated from Spanish.
  • The U.S. president's comments follow BlackRock's agreement to acquire two ports serving the canal from a Chinese group, CK Hutchison, as part of a larger $22.8 billion deal.

Reddit's ad revenue is growing faster than other social media platforms

  • Reddit's ad revenue is growing faster than any other social media platform, according to EMARKETER.
  • A new report says Reddit's user base is expanding due to its unique "social" feel.
  • Still, advertisers face challenges on Reddit due to the site's unique communities.

A new report shows that Reddit's ad revenue is growing faster than any other social media platform. Still, advertising on the app isn't as easy as it seems.

The report from EMARKETER says that Reddit's year-over-year ad revenue will grow by more than 30% this year, according to its estimates. EMARKETER is a digital marketing research company owned by Business Insider parent company, Axel Springer.

The highest ad revenue growth among social media platforms following Reddit came from TikTok with 25% and Instagram with 15% year-over-year growth, according to the report.

Reddit CEO Steve Huffman has said that Reddit is one of the few places left on the internet that allows people to hold communal conversations with each other. Huffman said at a Wall Street Journal event in October that Reddit posts are valuable for search engines and AI because they contain a wealth of "colloquial words about pretty much every topic" that are constantly updated.

Analysts from EMARKETER said in the report that Reddit's user base is growing, partly because it is one of the few social media platforms that still feels "social."

"That's a big reason why it's one of the only social platforms seeing time spent gains in 2025, per our forecasts," the report says.

However, while the social feel of Reddit is attracting swaths of new users, it could make it hard for advertisers to come across as relatable on the site. The report notes that Reddit users "typically don't want brands in their conversations, especially ones that aren't upfront about who they are."

Some advertisers have found ways to integrate into Reddit communities, including by creating employee accounts. User KiethFromSonos, a Sonos employee who asked to join the Reddit community r/Sonos, gradually earned a place in the community, the report says.

Reddit is also giving advertisers tools to make it easier for them to have an organic presence on the website, the report says. In March of last year the company created Reddit Pro, a platform that gives advertisers analytics, insights, and publishing tools, and earlier this year Reddit announced a new format that lets advertisers promote upcoming AMAs.

When reached for comment on Friday, a Reddit spokesperson directed Business Insider to the company's quarter four earnings report. Reddit COO Jen Wong said in an earnings call on February 12 that the company saw "broad growth" across advertising verticals, with 10 of its 15 verticals growing by over 50% year-over-year. Wong said the areas that saw the most growth were finance, retail, auto, pharma, gaming, and tech.

"We continue to focus on: one, driving performance of our ad solutions across objectives; two, improving usability for our advertisers and productivity for our sales force; and three, offering our advertisers Reddit-unique solutions and ad formats," Wong said on the call.
